Hot Cocoa and Cream

not bad at all just not as decadent as i expected. on initial spray, there's a very weird, unpleasant note that reminds me of spoiled milk or something, maybe expo markers? thankfully, that fades extremely quickly to a pleasant sharpness that supports the remaining fragrance, which is not nearly as hot cocoa-y as i thought it would be. it's sweet, soft, and powdery and occasionally i get a mild whiff of cocoa, but not a true hot cocoa scent (more vaseline cocoa butter lotion adjacent). it's a pleasant scent for sure that could be worn daily and would be perfect for a cozy night in or as a bedtime scent, but it's nothing mind-blowing and not the decadent, true chocolate-y fragrance i was hoping for. if anything, it reminds me a bit of the powdered sugar coating on marshmallows, so still very nice, but also very light, simple, and not super chocolate-y. the longevity and projection on this mist are also quite light, even for bath and body works.

🫧 this scent smells so good! it literally smells like the name. hot cocoa and cream! ❉ i smell milk chocolate, a little marshmallow scent mixed with a nice creaminess. it smells so delicious. 🫧 i pair this with 'Choco Musk' by Al Rehab and i smell like a walking piece of hot cocoa and chocolate chip cookies on a cold winter day. so yummy, so gourmand, and as a gourmand girlie, i love it. 🫧 NOW THE CON: why did they only release this as a travel size this year????? 🙁 where is the full size?? soo disappointed about that especially since i could've gotten it for $5 during the $5 full-size body mist sale during black Friday!! 🫧 anyways, this is great if you want a realistic chocolate scent. it lasts longer if you moisturize your body imo! love this sm! 🫶🏾

What the?...Why didn't I find this sooner? I love it! It smells very nice. Even though it smells just like hot cocoa and marshmallows...its not a sweet fragrance...well maybe just a little sweet. Ha ha. I think the musk note levels this into an actual perfume smell. Here is my jam...I shower with BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar shower gel, then put some Vanilla Bean Noel lotion on .After that I layer my Hot Cocoa and Cream mist and finish with Clinique My Happy Cocoa and Cashmere. This combination just smells so good and has great longevity. Give it a try and Enjoy!

Another reviewer said it smells like a Tootsie-Roll and I can agree with that.. It's been my daily scent for a few years, and it will be until I find something nicer. It's not overwhelmingly sweet, probably the most agreeable dessert fragrance I own. It has a synthetic, artificial undertone that I don't love and it has a very short longevity. But it hasn't ever given me a headache and I've gotten compliments on it!

i bought a wallflower of this, let me just tell you that it is phenomenal. one of the most realistic hot chocolate scents i have ever smelled. absolutely delicious. i strongly recommend you to buy the wallflower scent before they discontinue it.

I was hoping for a darker chocolate scent, but this one smells more like very sweet chocolate milk. I still love it tho. It's very cozy and I wear it to bed every night.

I was beyond hype for this product to be released. The Hot Cocoa and Cream candles I own smell like fudgy hot chocolate, and the thought of B&BW bottling that scent up had me excited. Unfortunately, this scent didn't deliver in the chocolate department. There's a faintness of powdery chocolate when first applied that quickly gets drowned out by the vanilla marshmallow musk. Even layering the products (wash, lotion, mist) doesn't amp up the chocolate, which is incredibly disappointing. Because you do smell the bit of hot cocoa powder when sniffing the bottle or applying the product, it just vanishes so fast. It's still a comfy scent, but likely easily swappable with other vanilla musks B&BW loves coming out with (Wrapped In Sugar smells very similar on my skin). I hope that one day they will tweak the formula bit to make the advertised indulgent chocolate be stronger and longer lasting.

Absolutely 100% Swiss Miss with marshmallows! At first smell I didn't like this-- there's an almost milky note that seemed a bit odd. But then I kept wanting to go back for another sniff... and another... and the note that I disliked ended up being the little bit of intrigue I needed from this scent. It's definitely VERY linear, very simple, don't get me wrong. But it's also cozy, comforting, sweet, and playful! Not sure how often I'll wear this out, but around the house in December and at bedtime on a cold night? Perfect. I just got a mini body care set and will probably finish it all this winter lol

This is actually is one of my favorites. Right now. I know it’s a seasonal one but I wear it CONSTANTLY. A lot of people don't like the fake chocolaty scent in this one but I love it. This perfume is full of that scent. So be warned if you actually buy it. The chocolate note is really strong which I enjoy but I’m so very very upset it doesn’t last long. It only lasts a half hour before having to reapply. The design and scent are so very cute it’s just so upsetting it doesn’t last long especially for the price that it is but then again BBW does that a lot

It does exactly smell like Swiss Miss to me. It ́s not that real, rich, pure chocolate scent but more that industrial sugared cocoa drink like chocolate smell and I like it for that. Because it gives a cozy feeling and makes you want to get comfy with a cup of cocoa. It has no complexity, no depth, just a single simple Swiss Miss scent. That`s it. I like to wear it with Twisted Peppermint or Christmas Cookies as well. It`s a very comfy scent for autumn or winter, perfect for bed or a cozy day at home.

This scent is nearly IDENTICAL to Bare Vanilla from VS. Maybe not in the initial spray, but once it dries down a bit I swear they're sisters. This one might be a tad more youthful.

Initial spray smells like powdered chocolate drink but the cacao goes away in less than an hour and I am left with vanillic sweetness

its nice. It smells like hot chocolate. its basic and theres something in it that kind of annoys me. but its really nice.

Huh. My kids have lotion in this fragrance and I personally do get the alleged theme quite clearly. I do indeed smell cocoa, and a creaminess. Real hot chocolate also has an almost salty undertone, and so does this. It isn't "chocolate milk", "chocolate frosting", or "chocolate cookie" (or whathaveyou), it's decidedly cocoa and I would absolutely be able to guess what it is without knowing it's name or seeing the package. If someone walked by me wearing this, I'd think "She smells like hot chocolate!" I can't really explain it better than that. It's pretty simple really, and enjoyable. It makes a nice gift for anyone, but particularly kids. It's not fancy or one of those B&BW fragrances that smell more expansive than they are, it totally smells like a B&BW/VS/Bodycology prince range item, but it's nice and it's worth getting if you have a craving for cocoa 😊

This one opens with that familiar alcohol hit typical of Bath & Bodyworks sprays, but it burns off quickly to reveal a powdery, light cocoa scent. It smells like hot chocolate that has been topped with a thin layer of Cool Whip, but the diet version. It’s softer and airier, not rich and creamy. This is for sure a scent for layering rather than a standalone gourmand. There’s a “manufactured” quality to the chocolate note, but not something I would call synthetic. It's clearly not realistic. The comparison to stale Tootsie Rolls is honestly pretty accurate. It doesn’t smell bad, just very artificial and like the scent of a chocolate-flavored lip balm. It’s comforting in the most surface-level way. Nothing groundbreaking. For layering, it’ll do the job.

It’s way overhyped. I thought it would smell like its name, but not even close. No marshmallow or cocoa powder. It smells EXACTLY like a tootsie roll. A stale tootsie roll that was sprayed with cheap perfume. So synthetic and bad. I don’t know what it is, but Strawberry Poundcake has this same dry-down note that I don’t like. BBW must use it for their gourmands, but it’s gross. I wanted something to layer with Choco Musk, my favorite smell that actually does smell like hot cocoa and marshmallows, but alas, I’m back to the drawing board.

It's not bad, but the coco isn't done well, it smells fake, and even cheap... Other than that it's a hot chocolate smell, nice and sweet, very festive.

I wish I loved this. I got this because of the love of I have for the candle. The cocoa scent is to die for. So when I saw this, I didn't hesitate to grab it. What a disappointment. The cocoa smelled dry and synthetic. I could barely get a whiff of the scent I so much enjoyed with the candle. I have the travel size so I will spray for spraying sake as it makes a great air refresher.

💗💗💗💗💗Wow oh WOW this is a 😋 scrumptious 🍨scent it is a dupe for Clinique Cocoa and Cashmere my favorite scent of all time, but this is way less expensive with bigger bottle. I went to the mall and stopped in Bath and Beauty works and I am so glad I did. This is delicious. A light gourmand. At first you can REALLY smell the cocoa🍫 but then it dries down to a sweet light marshmallowy vanilla 🍦🍪 cookie its irresistible. I can not get enough of it so I will buy the lotion , shower gel and candle on payday. I will layer it all winter 2022. I freaking LOVE this scent its so heavenly and 💜enchanting and affordable. I've never smelled the ones from previous years and because of all the great things I was hearing, I picked up this year's mini that was available. I hate to say but I really dislike it, and I'm assuming that this isn't the same formulation that people were raving about. To me, all I smell is hairspray and something sulfur-like and stale. I get the slightest hint of cocoa but I'm assuming it's only a shell of what it used to be. The hand cream was a bit better but the dry down only gives me a stale milk smell that starts to bother me after a few minutes. The FFM's only redeeming factor is that it doesn't last that long on the skin. I'm disappointed because I was really excited to finally have this.

so unbelievably good. i ran out because i used this stuff so much throughout fall and winter. i smell cocoa, fresh cream and marshmallows. it's a very simple, gourmand and sweet fragrance. i'm definitely going to order more because i just love it so much. very true to name, they hit the nail on the head with this one. wear this to cuddle up by the fire and watch a movie, trust me you wont regret it. ♡💌

I do actually really like this stuff, it reminds me of a Victoria's Secret body spray I had in middle school. I can't remember what it was called but musk and chocolate do something magical on my skin. It becomes powdery and warm without any scratchy or cloying notes, I wear this when ever I want
