Japanese Cherry Blossom 2020 Edition

I usually dislike cherry 🌸. Oftentimes I find it screechy and I thought Floris Cherry blossom was the only one I was going to own. Then I went into Bath and Body works to check out the Princess line. Walked out with the beautiful crisp sweet red apple Snow White. Today I went back for this. I got the body spray and the Parfum along with lotion and bubble bath. This is a beautiful deep floral. Floris Cherry blossom is a fresh cherry blossom this is more a cherry blossom with jasmine, mimosa lots of sandalwood and amber. I know it's all synthetic but whatever aroma chemicals they are using work. I've smelled some expensive supposed sandalwood fragrances lately and they smelled like Australian sandalwood mixed with amber woods. This synthetic sandalwood smells like creamy mysore sandalwood. I was very impressed. The Floris Cherry 🌸 I wear in spring this one is so rich it is an Oriental floral and would be beautiful in cold weather. B&B has got me back as a customer. Their Heirloom Rose is also stunning and needs to be in the data base. So sick of Fragrantica promoting crap niche (I smell so many that are way overpriced). I have really great niche and indie that I paid big $$$ for but many are just crap. I would rather they promote really good independent talent that uses all natural materials or promote more great inexpensive gems like this from B&B.

One of my favorite Bath & Body Works scents. Definitely one of their more unique offerings! I love how fresh and sweet it is, with the Sandalwood giving it a touch of woods. Purchased the 50ml perfume during one of their sales recently for a good price. Perfect for the Spring/Summer, as it isn't a heavy fragrance. I layered it with Zara's Violet Blossom, and I love the way they smell together

This has always been one of my favorite perfumes. I’m so glad they offered it in an EDP. It lasts a long time and projects well. It’s one of the few perfumes I’ve received compliments on. My husband loves this on me!

I just bought this in the EDP format for the first time. I've enjoyed this scent over the years with the body spray, shower gel, lotion, etc. Bath & Body Works has changed the packaging several times, but I think the fragrance composition has stayed pretty much the same. It's mostly fresh and fruity cherry blossom and rich milky sandalwood. A little musky and powdery too. Very pretty. A classic from B&BW!

I know this one has a lot of haters, but I like it! I can see how it would be easy to go overboard on this scent, but give it one or two spritzes and it's a very pleasantly soft, slightly powdery floral. A lot of people describe it as a mature scent, personally I think it's more than suitable for any age.

This might be my spring signature, because I’ve been obsessed with Cherry Blossom as a note & it’s the only fragrance I’ve had so far that’s given me compliments. The only drawback is that cherry blossom is a really light note & fades really quickly.

At first, it's light, refreshingly sweet, and easily goes all day. And, then you wear it for several months, and realize it's beginning to resemble cherry medicine more and more. No thanks!

Some stuff from B&BW that I love has been reformulated, yet...I can't stand JCB, and it's never undergone reformulation to my knowledge. What are the odds!? 🙄🤣 Also, I've been gifted this fragrance 3 separate times. Three. Separate. Times. 🤦♀️😂 Apparently I strike people as someone who would enjoy this? Which I respect and appreciate actually, because the notes look beautiful on paper. But no matter what I try, I hate this. It's stuffy as hell. I struggle to find the wording...but it's always smelled like mustard yellow (despite the packaging color) flowers in a hot room, with bad fakey sandalwood dollar store candles burning, fruits beginning to turn in a bowl...and grandma's scented floral plug-in on full blast. Alongside someone's musty clothes. I've given this more chances than I should've, 10+ tries. It ain't happening, and it's always smelled the same. I know people love this and I try to be understanding (my signature is of final boss status notoriety so I get it, truly I do) but I just can't deal with JCB. We aren't buddies. This is my mom's new favorite perfume. I had tried it years ago and didnt like it for myself as it was too floral for me, the new design is beautiful and I believe the scent is improved. I bought it for my mom cuz she finished the travel spray I got her. I had the travel size ordered for me and it honestly smells different on me than on her. On her it smells rich, but refreshing and abit powdery. On me it comes off too powdery. It has a 90s vibe to it I think, but more modern, it can make me nauseous sometimes if its too hot in a room, but out in the open it smells so amazing. Sometimes I tell her to wear it just so I can inhale it haha. It is a grown up but youthful scent and very romantic imo, not my style as im a crazy ram, but shes a romantic cancer/gemini that loves Italian music and that perfume is the cherry on top lol - I think zodiac signs have alot to do with what scents you like lol.

I really wish it stayed with how it opened! It starts out with the most perfect, clean, refreshing and delicate cherry blossom I've laid my nose on - but then it leaves all too quickly, and you're hit with an after-musk during dry down that smells a bit like stale breath. I've tried BBW's other cherry blossom varieties and wasn't in love with them either, so I'm still on the hunt for a fragrance where the cherry blossom lasts + is the star of the show.

Oh my! If I hadn't come across granny54's review, I wouldn't have known about this 2020 release. I've been using it since it first came out many moons ago. I just ordered 2 bottles. yay. I still have the bottle with the little black cherry blossoms on the side. :)
