Lost in Santal

A personal top 5 B&BW ffm of all-time! Finally, a break from BBW's over saturation of fruity—florals that 90% lean WAY too sweet and girly for me; a Millennial broad. If ppl would actually test this on skin, they would wake up to reality: none of this is spray or aerosol cleaner, OR pickles. This base is quite warm, very novice–friendly, and I'm pleasantly reminded of the queue line of "E.T.s Adventure" ride at Universal ORL. [If ya know, ya know]. Their nothing like that realistic forest scene that queue line scent. Before that base hits nastalgia like above-described, the cardamom top note needs to dissipate, but y'all know B&BW ffm's— they only last 20 mins; any longer than that, you've completely drowned yourself to make it the half hr mark🤙 As American consumers, we know to only purchase from B&BW on SAS's, right? Right. Their Everyday Lux Collection rocks tho. Theirs a handful of gems in it😎

Upon the initial spray, you are hit with a strong note of cardamom and sandalwood. And it is perfect; think of the opening of Santal 33, a creamy and sweet sandalwood that pairs excellently with the cardamon, adding more depth to the spice. If you are a fan of Santal 33, this should be an easy pick-up for you. The body spray is very close to the original, just a tad sweeter upon the initial spay. The aroma projects very well for the first five minutes. After five minutes, the aroma gets closer to the skin, lasting well over two hours. I know this doesn't sound good for longevity, but you have to remember this is a body spray concentration, and it's designed for casual use.

I haven’t smelled Santal 33, but I own both Lost in Santal (Bath & Body Works) and No. 04 de Balincourt (Maison Louis Marie), and they’re quite similar. Lost in Santal opens sweeter, fruitier, and slightly more powdery, while No. 04 is woodier, drier, and spicier. The overall scent profile is very close, with that familiar creamy sandalwood base. Layering them works well. Lost in Santal softens No. 04’s dryness, while No. 04 adds more depth to Lost in Santal.

Just got this today and I can say Lost in Santal is one of Bath and Body Works best scents it's really unique and unisex, I actually bought this because it's also being compared to Katy Perry's INDI parfum (which is my signature scent) and I didn't regret buying this because yes they do really share the same scent profile especially on their dry down, both scents are warm, creamy and cozy. 💚

This is such an unexpected and high quality scent from Bath and Body Works. It really is just a straightforward cardamom and sandalwood fragrance, but if you like those notes, you’ll be impressed — and personally, I love it. Layering with this will add a touch of luxury to any fragrance you’re wearing. It lasts all day on clothes and a few hours on skin.
