Loyal To You

This body mist is an interesting one. On the paper tester card, it smelled exactly like lemon pound cake. On my skin, it smells like the lemony cousin of Le Monde Gourmand's Pétale Éphémère--I could smell each note pretty distinctly, especially the marshmallow, and it smelled way less blended/cohesive than on the tester card. I would describe it as a lemon marshmallow dusted with powdered sugar, very sweet and powdery and citrus, yet maybe a little too light and sugary. I was on the fence about whether I liked it or not. Then I layered Loyal to You on top of Coty's Vanilla Fields, which is a powdery aromatic vanilla with a certain "spiky" quality, and wow. This fragrance combo is gorgeous. The musk, wood, patchouli, and tonka bean keep the scent grounded and a little spicy, while the lemon blossom, orange, and marshmallow give it a light and fluffy sweetness. The vanilla in both fragrances ties the whole thing together. On its own, I would recommend Loyal To You for people who like light, fluffy marshmallow-floral scents. But layered on top of something a bit herbal or spicy, Loyal To You becomes far more interesting and complex. This is a phenomenal fragrance for layering!

It's very light but when I get enough on, by putting on the lotion on my entire body and then the mist on top of it, I can really smell the lemon blossom note, which is very similar to the lovely lemon blossom note in Chat Perche, which I love. I have not tried Devotion so I can't speak to whether it's a good dupe of it. I could not really detect this fragrance well enough in the store, with the heavy background scent of other fragrances, I only picked it up because it was on deep discount at the semi-annual sale, and I'm glad I did. I might just have to go back for more. In the air of my house I can smell lemon blossom and a vague sweetness that is presumably the marshmallow. I didn't give this much attention when it was new because the entire Luxury Collection came out at once and I really liked some of the other fragrances in the collection. Great choice for a day when I'm planning to switch perfumes after my swim later and want the scent on my clothes to not be overwhelming.

this review is mostly for the body cream which i seemed to be able to smell better than the fragrance mist (my nose is a bit weakened from antibiotics right now) i LOVE the creamy citrus vibe right now and this is just delichous . It dries down to a sweet marshmallow but the citrus candy is there in the opening. the lotion is perfect to layer under L,DBS which i finally got my hands on the travel size recently. definitely my favorite of all B&BW luxury dupe line, i wish i could test the travel size parfums in store to see if i can detect it better than the body spray but theyre sealed :/ also funny that when i went to test devotion in sephora to compare i couldnt smell that either lol this is definitely NOT an iced lemon pound cake repackage it smells very different to me. this is soft and pillowy, the pound cake line is just hot butter.

Lemon fragrances are having their moment, and I'm here for it! Out of all the ones I've either owned or sampled thus far (Devotion, Empire Victor, Secret Flame, Shahoor Elixir), this one is my favorite hands down. Imagine a rice krispie treat with fresh lemon zest stirred in. It smells just like that. I feel like a lot of fluffy vanilla and/or lemon gourmand scents have a tendency to turn sour/tangy on my skin, but this doesn't at all. Longevity is also exceptionally good for a body spray, esp. given that I only paid $3 for it during the SAS! My only regret is not purchasing more of this product line while it was still available. :( **Update 8/17/25 - I'm wearing this tonight with Mod Vanilla, and the combo is lovely!

I highly recommend this one! It smells very similar to D&G Devotion and Akro Bake. It is similar to the discontinued Lemon Pound Cake, but this one is a little more elevated in my opinion, there is a very soft floral note from the lemon blossom which adds a bit of complexity, it’s super subtle though. The lasting power and projection are seriously impressive for a body mist. This lasts on clothes forever, I mean like several days. Definitely more than satisfactory for the price!

At first I thought it smelled like insect repellent. But I've grown to love it. Now I think it smells similar to Getaway Soirée. And the two of them layer nicely together. A nice and fresh citrus scent that's suitable whenever you are by the sea/pool/garden in a hot day. Poor longevity just like most of bbw body sprays.

I can see how this wouldn't be for everyone but I LOVE it. Smells exactly like a lemon bar and is somehow nostalgic?? Don't know but 10/10 very sweet and delicious

This is an absolute dupe of Devotion. Longevity and silage is insane on my skin. I am so happy that I finally found the best alternative of my favorite perfume

it smells SO close to devotion. i love it, its so lemony, sugary, sweet, and zingy. i def regret not getting two bottles when they had their 5.95 sale

This is a really pleasant lemon scent. Apparently it's a dupe for Dolce & Gabbana's Devotion, but I've never smelled that fragrance.

Never smelled Devotion but I love this!

Opening is super lemony and marshmallowy, almost like fruit loops. Then I get lots of sweet, slightly powdery orange blossom, and it finally dries down to a nice mixture of both - sweet vanillic marshmallow with a bit of orange blossom. This will be great for layering, and while I think it can definitely be worn year round, I am excited to have this as a summer body spray! The orange blossom lends it a summery vibe, but I think it’ll be a nice bright pick-me-up once it’s cold out too. It’s pretty mild on me projection-wise.

Loyal to You stands out from the crowd at Bath and Body Works. It has the strongest longevity and sillage of any BaBW fine fragrance mist I’ve tried (in a good way!) It’s a very sweet gourmand. I’m not able to pick up the citrus note, but the vanilla and marshmallow are definitely there. I’d recommend trying in-store as it’s so different from your typical FFM, even the other Everyday Luxuries.

This is like D&G Devotion. Really good to layer with. I also bought the body cream & it smells just like it too. Happy with both. :) Moderate projection & sillage on me. For the price you can re-spray often for sure.

I grabbed this one because I’m a total sucker for vanilla and marshmallow scents. Those cozy, sweet vibes are my total weakness. And while it does have that soft creamy sweetness I was hoping for, there's something in the opening that throws me off. It's the lemon. Instead of a smooth bakery style lemon or something creamy and dessert like, it leans more toward lemon air freshener... just very sharp and a little too clean smelling for what I want on my skin. It's not terrible, don't get me wrong, but it definitely clashes with the warm vanilla marshmallow base in those first few minutes. Once it settles, it lingers nicely. The vanilla and marshmallow come through more and it turns into a cozy skin scent... but unfortunately, it disappears pretty quickly after that. I just wish that dry down lasted longer, because that part is honestly lovely. So... overall, it's okay. I don't regret buying it, but it's not one I'll be reaching for often, especially when I have other vanilla scents I love way more.

Absolutely in love with the lemon citrusy part of this, the sweet one however reminded me of popcorn. As soon as my nose made that connection to popcorn i don't really enjoy it anymore because that's all i smell :(

This was very sharp citrus on me, kind of like a cleaner scent. I was very disappointed since I love Iced Lemon Poundcake and wanted something like that but more classy and grown up.

I should have been more aware when purchasing this because it's HEAVY on the sugar and less so on the citrus. I find it so sweet and powdery that it hurts my nose, so it's unwearable for me. It also lasts forever (I had to take a shower to get rid of it). Dissappointing, I wouldn't necessarily say its a safe blind buy, unless maybe you've tried Devotion.
