Mad About You

Oh how I wish B&BW still sold this!! I actually received a body care set of Mad About You at a NYE regift swap in middle school, and if you saw some of the gifts there you would consider me one of the luckiest people on the planet lol. To my nose, this is a gorgeous strawberry (yes, strawberry) patchouli mix. Opens with heavy, sweet strawberry and a subtle peony, enough to round out the sweetness and prevent it from becoming cloying. The musky patchouli buds the moment the spray hits my skin and blossoms once it dries down--it smells incredible. I honestly find it comparable to Burberry Her, though Mad About You is less complex and muskier on the dry down. And of course it's much more affordable, even with it being discontinued in the US. I may have rose-tinted lenses or whatever, but I will never tire of this scent. I have 2 bottles on standby and will be carrying my childhood well into my adult years with this one. ♥

The first whiff I had of this, I immediately fell in love with it. A pretty and happy scent. The floral in this is subtle, it blends in the background, but I like that it doesn't overpower the fruitiness. It's sweet without being cloying. The part that I love about it the most is its naturally juicy smelling aspect. It's like a burst of fresh fruit juice with the unique tart quality that natural fruits have. The vanilla and musk notes smoothly round it out, too. It's fruity with lots of freshness and a tinge of flowers. This is one of the classics in my collection and I'll need more backups. It's super duper fresh and delicious smelling. I don't care if I have to bathe in this every time. 10/10 for sure!

I love this one I didn't have the perfume but I had the body butter it was so amazing I still think about it and wish bath and body would bring this one back. Its very sweet and a beautiful scent. Would definitely purchase again if they would bring it back.

It smells amazing upon first spray, then it’s nice on the middle- not as great as beginning but the dry down is magical! It really mixes well with my chemistry and it smells ethereal- it’s a great accessory to feeling pretty 😍

my sister gave me this perfume/body mist as a hand-me-down like 5 years ago. i only have a few drops left in this old plastic bottle. ill probably save it for my wedding considering how expensive the resellers are :(

Smells like sol de janeiro 40 but a lighter version of it , I have the two so the comparison is definitely there. It also reminds me of fruit jelly cup but overall is a nice vanilla scent with lots of black current

This Armani Si, the notes are similar. I pair together only difference is that "Si" is more sweeter. beautiful scent. black currant, not enough vanilla but nice longevity

I have the lotion and the body cream not the mist so far. This smells amazing! You must like sweet floral scents to enjoy this.

okay so i bought this perfume in about 2022-2023 when i was shopping with my uncle who i am very close with. we were in amsterdam and walked past the bath and body works store and i figured why not go. i found this perfume and i bought the small version (because i was very broke at the time and my uncle said that a small version would be less of a commitment) i wore this alot but after a while i just lost the bottle. about a month ago i found it again and jesus did i get flashbacks. its kind of a trauma perfume but i still like to layer it since it actually smells pretty nice. it smells VERYY alchoholy when spraying it but after a little bit it turns into this fruity but musky strawberry scent. i feel like the ingredient list was written with a pink glittery gel pen, very cutesy and girly. doesnt last well at all tho, but its a body spray so its meant to be reapplied alot. i think its decent, but if youre more of a fan of classy expensive smelling fragrances this definitely not the perfume for you.

I had a travel size of shower gel of this fragrance from BBW store before boycott, fruity flory fresh fragrance mixed of Musk and vanilla base note with berries and fresh flowers. This fragrance you can wear it any time during the day or in summer and spring seasons. Strawberry & Peony 🍓💮 Such a sweet juicy strawberry nectar and fresh watery pink peony scent! Prettyy girlypop vibes 🎀 What are these fake notes on this site lol.. currant? patchouli? Nope ..and some of the reviews here based on those notes are like v random? No it doesn't resemble Armani Si, at all Projection is non existent,, only someone sitting beside you can smell it.. Lasts around 3 hours on my outfits,, p good for a body mist imo,, wearable anywheree If i would've found this in my teens, I'd have worn it non-stop ngl 😂

My all time BBW favorite! You can wear it year round and in so many environments. Smells sweet, floral but at the same time juicy and romantic. All the accords are well-blended, but I specifically love peony and sweet black currant here. Pairs heavenly with the original Christina Aguilera perfume cause both have musk, vanilla, jasmine, black currant and peony. Try this one if you love sweet-floral combinations.

MaY starts delightfully with juicy, tart and sweet berries. Yes black currant is the star of the show, but there are probably strawberries and raspberries as well. After a while some rosy florals peek in shyly. Overall MaY is a pleasant flirty mist that is not ground breaking but is very likable and wearable. The performance is that of a mist, but can be improved by overspraying your clothes.

Mad About You smelled nearly identical to Velvet Sugar when I used to own it, and I ran it past my husband too (he thought they were the same thing on a blind sniff quiz). So, I'm not sure why this newer listing doesn't include strawberry as a note, because it was absolutely the leading element. I don't actually recall this smelling of blackcurrant at all. But...I like blackcurrant and it never smells like cat pee or what to me. I suppose I'm lucky, but I felt that this was very pleasant. The issue was, again, that it was practically a twin of Velvet Sugar, yet it lasted 1/3 of the time. I'm not even exaggerating, it had terrible longevity (even for a body spray). I could understand layering it with other products, but I simply gave it away instead of bothering. It was a fairly "basic" (whatever, I know people hate that term, but it's true) soft floral, fruity vanillic musk. We've probably all smelled it before. Not bad, but not stirring to the senses.

Very bright, happy uplifting sweet peony scent. Yes, peony flower is very potent. Gives me 2000s nostalgia somehow, in a good way, as if it was about the nice careless from back then. Slightly generic/a bit like shampoo, but in a good way. Can be quite harsh/potent upon initial spray. Performance is standard for a must.

Doesn’t last long, very faint. But this one reminds me of my childhood, i used to smell such a similar scent when I was a child, not sure why.
