Magic In The Air

Fluffy, warm and nutty. I love how pronounced the almond and iris notes are. People notice the persimmon top note also and ask me about it occasionally as it is somewhat unexpected. Someone once said this one was generic but I disagree! The coconut note throws it from being a purely Christmas/Winter frag (as the name suggests) and makes it something you could also wear in the summertime. Sweet yet not cloying. Powdery and clean. The sandalwood, jasmine, vanilla and musk seal the deal for me. I love this one. If there were an incense-like note in there it would be perfection. I only wish it had better staying power! I will continue to hunt for a good deal on the EDP version of Magic Is In the Air. But if you like any of these notes, I would give this a try! It's very lovely. Like a soft, warm sweater on a cool fall/winter day. Or a powdery, fresh yet skin smelling experience (in the drydown) on a spring/summer day.

Ages and ages ago a friend gave me a bottle of a perfume called Village Aspen Glow. One whiff of this took me to NY in the Winter of 1980! Scary! Yet...wonderful...a lovely nostalgic fragrance. Even though it's 85 degrees here in Phoenix at 9:30pm in early November, this persimmon-powdery-vanilla is a perfect evening scent. I don't smell anything I'd identify as "jasmine" on my skin. The dominant note smells like almond. I agree with the review that describes this as "creamy"...that's exactly right for my nose. Also - definitely hints of marshmallow. I have this in Whipped Shimmer Body Mousse. I rarely buy anything but hand soap from Bath & Body Works, but I love Magic in the Air!

Wow, this is a real beauty. I didn't think I would ever love a Bath & Body fragrance that much, but I do. Really love it. B&B really did a great job on their Christmas season line this year, and this is to me the best scent they have ever came out with. It is sweet frozen white sparkling iris dusted with powdery coconut shavings in a fairytale that is a Winter blizzard at the blue hour. Soft thick fluffy snow covered evergreens in a magic forest. This is where the Winter iris queen lives and she smells like magic in the air... A Marshmallow World sang by Bing Crosby is playing on the wind...

I own this fragrance in the diamond shimmer mist. It might just be my skin chemistry but I'm smelling banana? Not in a bad way at all.. like a very light fresh banana with sprinkled powdered sugar & vanilla laced florals! It really is a magical fragrance & how I'd imagine Tinkerbelle to smell! Once it reaches it's dry-down more of the almond notes start to reveal itself. I find this to have very impressive longevity and can still smell it after several hours! Pretty darn impressive for a body mist...love it!

This is hoard worthy to me and I'm so upset I didn't purchase more back ups when I had the chance. This scent smells like a magical fairy cocktail/potion. Absolutely ethereal yet so inviting and comforting. It's so unique as I've never smelled anything like this before. I see it reminds someone of Escada's Magnetism, I have no idea how but these are two fragrances I love and now cherish close to my heart. I would do anything for BBW to bring this back again, UNCHANGED.

I really love this new fragrance ( I have the mist , and saving for the perfume). Lovely scent reminds me of a combination of things : similar to the old BBW Pear Blossom, BBW Rice Flower and Shea , and amaretto coffee creamer. This is a year round scent , not just seasonal. I really get the pear and iris notes ,bourbon too. Love this one. Floral and creamy. Reminds me also of Jennifer Anniston in the blue bottle

One of BB&W Best fragrances to date IMO.. It's light fluffy whimsical easy on the nose; to me has almost a faint play-doughy undertone to it. Easily One of those scents I reach for when I find myself not really in the mood to spray a perfume on *I have the lotion*..ABSOLUTE MAGIC, LOVE IT! & I can see why Vanilla; my favorite note in scents. :D *Keep putting scents out like this BB&W!

This scent really stood out to me in store. Upon first sniff there is some Marc Jacobs Daisy/Perfect going on in the background, mixed with that signature Bath and Body Works fruity floral craziness. I wore it for a while but then I noticed it started giving me headaches, and I realized after a few hours it transforms into a burnt rubber smell on me. Sigh! Too bad.

I'm in LOVE with this fragrance! By far their best in ages! Even though it's one of those 'close come hither' scents that was released in fall-winter...I can see this being year round. My skin picks up the fluffy, cozy notes & I've gotten compliments from people who come a little closer asking what I'm wearing. I'm hoping to get the eau de parfum for Xmas.

I blind bought this fragrance and i’m glad i did. It’s soooooo refreshing! It’s like that out of the shower scent with a hint of floral. Unusual notes for sure, but i think this is what makes it so good. Definitely lasts long. Pair it with the body cream and you are good to go! 9/10!

I am so surprised to see jasmine in this. I don't get it on me at all. I get an almond-vanilla mix with a hint of musk and a tiny bit of sandalwood with some iris there to keep it from getting sickly sweet. One of BBW's best releases in a loong time, in my opinion!

I found this one too late! I'd have loved to have a bottle of the perfume. This scent is so sweet, light, airy and perfect! Best BBW scent in a really long time. My husband likes exactly 3 of my 60 perfumes and this is one of them. LOL

One of my favorite scents from b&bw. I don't waste my money on their body sprays but I love the lotions and body creams, and sometimes the perfumes are good too. This is in my top ten favorite B&BW scents. Soft, elegant, enchanting.

Pretty, softly sweet, ethereal, delicate, effortlessly feminine, elegant, airy, fluffy, soft, powdery, comforting, inviting, slightly fresh, inoffensive, casual This whispers of ethereal beauty with a delicate sweetness and a comforting fresh softness. A cozy vanilla almond scent swirls throughout notes of powdery musk, warm and creamy sandalwood, and fresh florals with a slight watery hint. I have had this fragrance for years in the perfume, mist, and lotion. I used to use the lotion all of the time because of its soft scent of delicate sweetness and hint of freshness that made it pair really well with other fragrances. It was my go to lotion because it would never overpower whatever perfume I was wearing, but could enhance it with its soft scent. This is a nice fragrance for when you want something more subtle rather than bold. I think it’s great for casual occasions, hanging around home, running errands, work, and anywhere that you want to just smell pretty and nice without making a big statement. I think this is one of those fragrances that really works well throughout the whole year. I get good performance with Magic in the Air, especially using the lotion and fragrance together. It lasts about 5 - 6 hours before becoming just a skin scent. The projection is decent, especially for a soft scent... it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

I remember smelling this in the store, and my impressions were much as the other reviewers have stated: baby powdery, cookie-like, soft, etc. I was astonished to see Persimmon listed as a note above. Now I'm intrigued and want to go back and smell it again. Alas, I think it's discontinued and is only available at spendy prices on eBay. Alas.

The name in and of itself is intriguing. Magic in the Air is a powdery, baby soft vanilla. Comforting. Soothing. I can imagine a mom breastfeeding her newborn in a quiet, peaceful room. This fragrance smells like a mom and baby. Tenderly sweet. Powder soft. I like it.

Another fallen hero. Magic in the Air was one of only bbw body mists that smelled somewhat creative and lasted more than 30 seconds. I get a lot of pear blossom initially, and then it dries down into a nice woody vanilla that you can still smell several hours later.

This is perfect for summer and everyday wear in my opinion. It’s sweet, but light and airy, just like the name Magic in The Air suggests. The almond note is a delectable touch that makes it. It also feels clean enough to reach for after a shower.

This si so beautiful! It's fruity, bright, floral, fresh, clean and smooth. Probabaly the cleanest scent in my collection that I enjoy. Such a oldie but goodie. Great for anytime wear but I think it's discontinued now 😕

This is such a beautiful combination of unusual notes and therefore so addicting! Perfect for summer ! SO fresh ! similar to FROSTED SNOW BLOSSOM-BBW :) gives the same vibe :) ... LOVE IT ...

Idk why it named magic in the air. I find it fits the name magic in the cake shop. It's sweet, a bit gourmand, like a slice of cake but in a pretty way.

Add marshmallow to this fragrance and you have Beach Nights Summer Marshmallow! Magic In The Air is lovely on it's own, however.

This is my housemate's favorite BBW scent. I like it too but she loves it.

I enjoy smelling this on my kids and around the house when they spray it. It's a wafting almond cookie and vanilla, lots of sweetness and a sandalwood/dry drydown which is really pleasant. Not to mature at all, but not enormously juvenile like some of BBW's things. Naturally, it's now "retired", and worse things are available. This has a decidedly "PlayDoh" note that I think is pretty fun! I don't think many people got into this one because it was more subtle, but I think it's one of their better gourmands with a little more creativity. The almond with coconut is delightful. It's my oldest daughter's current favorite, and a nice signature scent for a girl or young woman.

I received the lotion as a gift and liked it at the time, but now it gives me a headache. Idk if my taste chabged or if it just went sour. Very sweet floral almond coconut vanilla.

This has always smelled... off. I don't know why. I had it in high school and I used it but I remember getting very tired of it and not really knowing what to think of it. I still feel that way. Smelling it recently (at the Winter 2021 SAS), it brought me back and not in a good way. I don't know. It's sweet, but it's too... "soft," like others say. Like someone talking to you and trying to get your attention but they're whispering for NO reason. I just wanna shake this fragrance by the shoulders and tell it to assert itself for once in its life.

Though I like this fragrance, I have love-hate relationship with it. I hate the first notes, it's too nauseating for me. But when it dries down there something about it makes me obsessed, it's sweet and yummy, maybe the bourbon vanilla? That sweet and yummy scent even enhanced any other mists and perfume I layered with, which is... magical? Maybe I need to try some bourbon vanilla fragrances without those first notes like this one. So far I used the body cream for layering only, the mist I layered with Cloud, which is not bad.

Many BBW scent have similar "base" and this one is no exception. Its very light, airy(true to its name), delicately watery sweet. I like to buy BBW body cream(on sale, i never pay full price for it) and use it under my fragrances. This one is a good one for that because its so light so basically ANY sweet floral or vanilla scents will layer over this really well. I used it so much this past year I got sick of it so its a wrap for me. As a stand alone scent, its not for me-i have small body spray which I got in a gift and I use it liberally after shower but that's about it. Its WAY too light. And does anyone else has a problem with those horrible plastic bottles that BBW puts their mini body sprays in? because those are HORRIBLE-they are very difficult to spray(I mean you have to press on the damn sprayer as hard as you can), leak and break. Common, BBW, get it together!

Beautiful, pillowy gourmand scent. This is perfectly fluffy sweet, makes me think of marshmallow fluff and sweetened whip cream. I feel like this is a carefree happy sort of scent. It's not a super mature fragrance, but as a 40+ year old woman, I haven't got a single qualm in wearing, still it's suitable for a much younger woman as well. Finally, this is the lastingest B&BW scent I have ever encountered. I wore it beginning around 5pm and the next morning woke up smelling it strongly still. I did find that it comes and goes a bit during that time, but overall longevity was stellar. I had experimented by using the Shea lotion on one arm under the EdP and nothing on the other and both offered identical longevity. I'm also excited that they went for a lovely, classy bottle. It's got the heavy feel and look of many quality fragrances.

I was shopping at Bath and Body Works a couple of weeks ago, and when it came time to check out, the cashier handed me a coupon for "any body cream in the store you want for just $5". This is the one I grabbed hesitantly, telling the cashier that it's the only one in the store I haven't tried yet. And it was. I took a sniff or two of it when it first came out, but it didn't sweep me off my feet, so I've been overlooking it... until now. I gave it a chance, and I'm glad I did. What once seemed to me a strange, barely there, plastic like scent has become a clean, inviting, and somewhat warm scent. Think of almonds and Ivory soap together. I love to put the lotion on before I go to bed, because the scent clings to my pajamas in the nicest way. I like this one, and I recommend it.

Me regalaron el mist hace unos días y lo percibí muy floral y dulce al principio, me recordó un poco a hawaii passionfruit kiss al final, sólo por lo dulce pero éste último en mí piel deja la nota a sal de mar que me gusta mucho. No esperaba los mismo de Magic in the air porque la vainilla no huele bien en mí, pero después de un rato ésta afortunadamente desaparece y empieza a desarrollar mejor las demás notas, al punto de que la dulzura pasa a un segundo plano y destacan las notas amaderadas juntos con la almendra y el coco, lo cual lo hace interesante. No tiene mucha fijación pero ha sido un invierno contrastante así que recomiendo usarlo en climas más fríos.

Very soft... like baby powder/wipes with almond madeleines and pear, creamy, innocent, light, some freshness, not aldehyde at all, this freshness is very pleasant, makes me imagine a small white fluffy round pilow full of white body powder. I dont feel the coconut neither sandalwood. I think this is very simillar to Open sky which i have the shower gel that really stays on the skin after the shower. I guess i prefer a good shower gel than the bodyspray, i don't know why but i guess is the texture and the foam is getting better than having a cold spray.

I kept smelling this and thinking it smelled like something I had before, but it took me forever to figure out what it was. Just today I realized it smells like Mariah Carey's Dreams, which I LOVE but haven't been able to buy a new bottle. I'm glad I bought this one. It's nothing amazing, but it smells very good and would be nice for a cute date. The almond blossom and vanilla are very pronounced and make it sweet but not overly so. I'd probably buy this again.

Fresh and clean. I get very little sweetness out of it, but the candle is another story. There's the slightest touch of sweet whipped cream, but if you're used to gourmand scents, you're just going to smell clean flowers. Would never empty a fb. Cheap smelling of course, just like all B and B, Victoria's Secret, et la famille. Sometimes a cheap thrill is fun though for a short period of time.

This is so nice. There is a note in there that is foreign to me and it must be the persimmon? I get no coconut (thank goodness), just some fruit and sugary musk and sandalwood. It's not typical BBW in my opinion and no one can accuse this of smelling teenager-y. It's also long lasting to me and I just have the mist. Wouldn't mind the actual perfume because the bottle looks very cute!

This is so pretty light and delicate. I asked for suggestions for icy/ chilly scents that remind you of frosty air and this is perfect. I get some kind of berry scent( juniper?) But that may just be my noses interpretation. This andfandf Cashmere Mist are the best Bath & Bodyworks scents in my opinion.

I like this scent. It's sweet, light, relaxing, and just lovely! Received quite a lot of compliments when I wear this at work. During humid days (I live in a tropical country btw) I wear it with Victoria's Secret PINK Sweet and Flirty. Heavenly! <3

It is not bad scent but the notes are not perfectly blended, it can be a gift to some teens. I feel some notes are not necessary in it, gets little confusing. Bottle suits as a gift but name is not true to the vibe!

I have the body mist version. To me this smells like “magical Christmas cookies” lol. Vanilla-y and edible but also with something else I can’t quite put my finger on.

This scent is weird to me. Sometimes I really like it and other times it smells salty. I use it as an air freshener sometimes

Blind bought this scent in the form of shower gel, and it smells like baby powder. Not a fan
