Mahogany Teakwood

I have a sweet spot for this fragrance. It was a pleasing gift to receive and it started my interest in fragances and making my own collection. The smell, as mentioned in some of these reviews, is warm, cozy, and slightly refined. Good for fall and spring. More on the masculine side. It's nice overall. However, the circumstances surrounding this fragrance are really disappointing. The fragance in itself looks like it's not meant to develop good on it's own. Coming from B&BW, it's best accompanied by a set of other products with the same smell, but this makes the fragrance's performance look small in comparison. It's an Eau de Cologne. It has moderate sillage and projection, so you will end up needing a couple more sprays for it to stay active. All of that for a price of $50 only for the 100ml bottle. To get the (almost) full performance you will have to spend around ~$90 by buying the 5x3 item sale offers B&BW generally has. It's a good fragance, but it would be better with a higher concentration.

Mahogany Teakwood - I've been using this scent as a candle, body spray, plug in air freshener, and body wash for years. I love this scent and it always garners positive feedback and compliments from guests who come into my home. However, I was hesitant when I saw it as a cologne from bath and body works. Msrp $50 and frequently on sale for $40. I do not regret buying it at all. Masculine, clean, woodsy, mass appealing, and versatile. Great buy for the money. I have a large fragrance collection so it will not be a signature scent for me, but it certainly could be. I use it to spray on laundry dryer sheets. Unlike some others, I get pretty good longevity with it on skin. I would definitely recommend this as a budget friendly fragrance or for someone who wants a small collection of versatile and mass appealing fragrances. Given the price, I would rate it 9.5/10.

It starts off like Fierce and Montblanc Legend, then it clearly has hints of Very Sexy Platinum for Him (old batch)—unmistakable since it was my first fragrance when I started getting into perfumes. Overall, it has that blue Fierce DNA. I like this scent; it reminds me of my teenage years when I used Very Sexy Platinum for Him body wash from Victoria’s Secret. So nostalgic.

Mahogany Teakwood is definitely a classic, it's so woody and aromatic. The lavender is really nice, and kind of sweet. I know this is marketed for men but this to me is unisex. Is it more masculine leaning, for sure. I don't deny that. I just feel that anyone could wear this and it would smell great. I love this in the candle and the wallflower plug-ins, and body wash.

I love this. No shame. Not gonna lie. I recieve the most compliments from both sexes when I wear this. I wore it to a party and everyone I hugged asked "you smell so good. what are you wearing?" Maybe it just works really well with my body chemistry. I smell like I walked out of a spa. To top it off, It's grossly inexpensive.

I think this scent is ok by itself but making for a layering it makes some really nice scents. A nice manly mahogany with plenty of lavender to smoothen it out. Specifically with other B&BW scents like Bourbon and Ocean. 8.5/10. Can be strong at first but settles down to a nice smooth woody finish.

Sweet woody scent, fantastic to use for layering with other scents, especially ones that have citrus or vanilla imo. Works best as the body spray, as I suppose the aeration that it provides helps bring out the full scent without the need for an opening/dry down. Body spray is also cheaper. 9/10

Sometimes I like to smell a masculine scent. Its comforting, though I don’t typically ever really find myself wearing it out, its nice to have it at home. Its very bold with lavender and mahogany yum. I dont have the cologne anymore but I do have the lotion still, and it is toe curling

One of my favorite scents, I own two bottles of this because of how often I use it. Starts off extremely sharp but slowly mellows out into a very... well, manly scent. I can agree with others that say this doesn't really smell like wood, it's like Axe's well behaved cousin.

Generic man scent. Smells absolutely nothing of wood. But it’s something that smells good on men anyway. I wear it because I like the scent and husband isn't all that into fragrances. I love the lotion which adds creaminess to the scent.

i wish i was a man so i could pull this off. but since i'm not i'll have to be content with just getting candles, wallflowers, hand sanitizer, etc. i swear i go crazy for this scent, i love it.

Great scent, my wife got it for me and it well reminds me of A&F Fierce, but lasts way longer! Very summer / hot weather perfume and it projects better the more its hotter outside, I love it.

Smells exactly like Abercrombie Fierce.. $49 at Bath and Body

Really dig this and although it’s not a top compliment getter it’s one that’s done very nicely in that category!! In a nutshell this is a more rich,sweet,airy but less musky version of AB & F Fierce !! To describe this scent on its own it opens up very fresh,airy(because of lavender) but also as it dries down it becomes more rich with the mahogany. A very nice fresh but also woodsy smell making this very warm and cozy the longer as it’s on your skin. Kind of unoriginal as there are so many Fierce clones out there but the mahogany and nice airy lavender note made it appealing enough for me to want to buy! Also out of all the fierce clones I think this is the best in a professional setting as it doesn’t smell juvenile. Performance- is average as it lasts 4-6 hours with decent projection for 45 minutes but quickly dies down to a nice scent bubble. Overall rating - 7.5 out of 10 !! A people pleasing scent that’s not original but I love that mahogany and lavender note in this.

When I think of mahogany, the sense of a deeper, richer wood comes to mind. I like the note quite a lot in CK Euphoria. In this fragrance however, I've never felt as if it accurately captures the essence of mahogany. Because this is light, crisp and aromatically clean. I don't think this is a dupe for Abercrombie Fierce, but I do think if you're into Fierce, you'll probably enjoy this. It's less warmly musky though, and this has a thinner profile in general. Still, it's kind of a "hot guy in the 2000s" sort of fragrance. I don't get true lavender in this, which is fine, I rarely think "lavender" in fragrance actually smells like the true plant. But, it's freshly aromatic. I've been underwhelmed by some of the men's B&BW collection in times past, but I enjoy this one quite a bit.

Smells very good, has the Teakwood & Mahogany combo, though a bit artificial. But, the lavender in this one is way too prominent for me and it makes the whole scent feel way too soapy for my taste, and doesn't fit with the woods. This, like basically all of the B&BW fragrances, don't last very long beyond an hour or 2. I ended up giving away the second half of my bottle to a friend who preferred weaker scents since I just stopped wearing it. I wouldn't recommend any of the full bottle colognes unless they are significantly discounted. $50 or more for these is ridiculous for what you actually get. As a candle, however, this scent is excellent!

I really enjoy this fragrance. It’s classic and smooth like the best dressed person in the room at a casual event, not loud and attention seeking, but well put together and mature while not smelling old. In terms of compliments I got 3 only seconds after putting it on and when talking about longevity I get 3-4 hours so not the greatest but that’s par for the course with Bath & Body Works. Overall I would recommend this for people who want a versatile fragrance who are tired of all the generic blue stuff and want something different as it is still crowd pleasing but more unique.

i was surprised when my mom got me this for a birthday gift and if your reading this its because you also got this as a random gift, not being super well known the performance is actually very decent and the scent also quite nice it a bit boring but not in the sense that you simply get annoyed with it. i am quite pleased with owning this and its very good for cool nights or just hanging around people 7.5/10

It’s a very nice scent but so much better when layering it with another cologne. Personally it’s not my main scent but I’ve gotten many compliments from the times I’ve worn it. If your looking for a nice cozy scent this is for you, it’s cheap, and it smells like something in a Christmas movie when the family is sitting by a warm fire after being outside in the snow. I highly recommend this fragrance.

I would say it's quite lavender forward for a woody fragrance, I would prefer it tones down that lavender a bit and amp up the mahogany wood more. There's also a hint of sweetness from pineapple coming out from the nozzle for some reason. I have both the cologne and the deodorant stick, I prefer the latter better. My husband thinks it's meh lol ( i did buy it for him )

I got this in a .5 Oz bottle for sale for 5 dollars, and it's pretty good. It doesn't last too long, but it does smell good. I would say for a 100ml for $50, you get what you paid for.

I love the profile of this. I have it as the room spray and it's such a strong scent that it lingers, and it's great. You don't need a lot.

It smells good, can't smell the lavender though. It just doesn't last at all.

it smells really good, but the longevity isn't very great. lasts a few hours which is disappointing but i suppose for $49, you get what you pay for? i would just think that compared to the price of the body sprays, this one would last a little longer. sillage is pretty alright though!

Worth it in the travel size. Great dumb reach. Not full bottle worthy. Layers nicely under simple blue fragrances like Malul 140. Dresses them up a bit. Definitely better options at rack shops for the price.

I’ve got both kinds of spray, the ‘mist’ and aerosol. This was my first proper man scent and it still holds up when I don’t want to think about how I smell. Fine enough, does the job.

The weaker more synthetic version of mont blanc legend. For the price just get mont blanc legend.

Ehh mid, dry down is nice but the opening is too synthetic

The lavender feels out of place here. Makes the composition to soapy. Like soap scrubbed on wood. Weird.

Mid tier fragrance at best, I've owned 2 bottles of this and 2 bottles of the original teakwood and the fact this replaced the teakwood astonishes me. Lasts 30 mins to an hour even with 10 sprays, smell does not project and the added mahogany note hardly shines through. I think they just made it less concentrated and shoved it out. I will forever hate this fragrance for taking one of the only good bath and body works frags away from us. 2/10 literally used all of my second bottle as room air freshener (would never recommend)

I have smelt this and don't like it. Teakwood was fine, this not so much. Whomever thought this smelt like Mahogany Woods was way off. Mahogany Teakwood is woods with a slight lavender. Mahogany Woods is hardly woody but rather a sweet vanillic scent with some booze to it.

Good lord, this is sharp, acidic, and disgusting. I do not like mahogany, or at the very least, whatever B&BW is doing with it. It's got a very distinct chemical odor upon first spray and doesn't dry down into anything I'm willing to even try it for.

I bought this because I fell in love with the candle version. This smells like a sexy man. I wear this myself, I think it’s unisex but it does lean masculine. I don’t like how allot of men’s cologne has a green “tree” vibe. This doesn’t have that, it’s woody and slightly sweet. It’s not very long lasting so I think this is better to wear to bed or in intimate settings where you don’t want anything too strong.

Very loud and in your face, every time he sprays it UlI can smell several feet away.. it definitely follows and is bold. I don't know if i recall like it though.. im more attracted when he wears Vanillas, tonka beans and coffee smells. This has none. smells good BUT to strong fir me

Not to spoil anyone’s excitement but I have the hand soap and sanitizer under the “Mahogany Teakwood” name and it’s basically the same as Teakwood. So, sample before buying, as I’m pretty darn sure this is not the return of Mahogany Woods.

There is something so delicious about lavender in masculine fragrances! It really gives a scent of maturity and cleanliness to a fragrance that makes it very alluring. You definitely can’t go wrong as a guy wearing this.

It’s a decent fragrance. I use it in a diffuser as a room spray, but I don’t wear it.
