Midnight Pomegranate

I cannot speak for this if it's been reformulated or not, my bottle of mist is quite old. But, wow. What a kickass spray it is! It's red fruit, definitely pomegranate, but smells of blackcurrant too, for the last few years I ALWAYS get this impression. The cassis is almost peppery, and the temperature of this is beautifully warm. It doesn't smell of heavy patchouli, but really, it could be what feels to me as *pepper*. If you like Dark Kiss, Twilight Woods, and Forever Red you might enjoy this. None of these smell the same, but they have a certain...specialness about them, are decidedly warm in tone. They're a little unorthodox, and they're all far more interesting than people typically consider B&BW to be. This however, manages to be warm without woods or vanilla. The whole thing is really quite fascinating, and it's impressively memorable. I can't conjur up from memory anything that smells like MP. It's something I adore wearing indoors in December (unfortunately, with spray alone, it gets killed by winter air). It doesn't smell like a poinsettia plant, yet...embodies the characteristics of both the red&green elements. It does, absolutely, smell red AND green simultaneously, but not muddled as to become brown. No, the red is distinct, and so is the green. It's extremely well-executed. I'd like to know the perfumer behind this one (Honorine Blanc made Twilight Woods and ForeverRed, I'm curious if she's to credit for this as well), because I'd put good money on there being a respected nose and mind at work here.

This was my favorite BBW fragrance and I miss it so much! I would love to find anything like this as it is unique. Sweet and feminine yet also dark and moody. My ideal mood blend in a fragrance.
