Milk Bar Birthday Cake

So delicious & addicting 🥹 I agree with the other commenter who said " I can almost taste it " . It's so yummy , & pretty photorealistic . Think of the softest creamiest cake with layers of whipped cream in between . This is different to any of the other cake scents we've gotten from BBW . The others are a bit deeper ? - like closer in proximity to Christmas Cookies or SDJ '71 . This one in collaboration with Milk Bar is more light & creamy ( closer towards - but still not the same scent as - Vanilla Rainbow Sprinkles or VS Cake Confetti . this is also better than Confetti Cake Pop imo ! but I dont even consider that to be a cake scent personally , I get coconut , & almost like a cocoa butter scent from that one ) the layers of whipped cream in between the cake being emphasized in this . The buttercream frosting & sprinkes come through right after & in the dry down . I find the strength to be pretty moderate as well which is GREAT . Planning on getting backups of this one 🤤🫶🏽🎂

As a fan of celebrity Pastry Chef Christina Tosi and her brainchild Milk Bar, I was super excited to try this collaboration with Bath & Body Works, and let me say I wasn't disappointed. On various cooking shows, I remember hearing Christina talk about her inspiration for Milk Bar being the milk left in the bowl after you eat a sugary cereal, and that inspiration is felt here. Lusciously creamy icing & cake on a cereal-milk & vanilla canvas, and I'm also getting a coconut note. I couldn't ask for more out of a birthday cake scent. I've tested the mist and the cream and both are really good - the cream maybe even surpassing the spray for enjoyable-ness, but layered gives the best longevity. At risk of stating the obvious, it always made sense to me that Chefs have/need good noses since smelling is a huge part of tasting. The only thing left to say, is please do more collabs with Christina!!! It's a love for me. Enjoy!

I love Milk Bar's collaboration with Bath & Body Works. All of the packaging is extraordinary. The Milk Bar Body Mist design is especially my favorite. The scent itself will leave you in awe - stunned! It is photorealistic birthday cake. I was stunned. It is the best Birthday Cake perfume I have smelled. I instantly thought of a very fluffy buttery yellow cake with of course buttercream spread thick. It smells so good... Don't be surprised if it makes your mouth water! It's if you placed your nose on actual cake -- Of course without getting icing or cake crumbs on your face. However, it's only a body mist. Within a matter of minutes I couldn't smell it. If you don't mind re-applying and you just simply want a birthday cake scent - no doubt I would recommend this to someone. By far, this is THE BEST cake scent my nose has encountered. Very impressed.

I got the 75ml version. The cake note is STRONGGG 😭 The first sniff I had, it smelt lovely, it smelt sweet and cake-y but I could smell the other notes too so it wasn't just a full on cake only perfume. But it quickly turned to this extremely strong cake smell. There was also a subtle smell of popcorn. The other notes were still there but the cake note was just overpowering. My friend said it smells like shortbread and I'd actually agree. Longevity: Fine, what you'd expect from a pretty cheap sweet perfume. Sillage: Surprisingly good. My friend said she could smell it from across the room. Overall I'd give it a 8/10. If you want a sweet scent that isn't totally playful and fun, I wouldn't recommend this. If someone asked me what perfume smells exactly like a birthday cake, I'd say this one.

I love sweet vanilla scents, but I’m very specific. I’m kinda sensitive to smells and I get headaches from fragrances easily. Sometimes sweet scents are sickly to my nose and make me feel nauseous too. However, this one does not. It’s perfect to me and exactly how I wanted it to smell! On initial spray I smell the cake note, as it sits on your skin the cake takes a backseat and you smell sweet creamy vanilla frosting. It’s absolutely perfectly sweet and not too much imo. THEY NEED TO MAKE THIS PERMANENT. I don’t like buying backups but I may have to get one for this scent if it’s still available by their next sale. I can see myself using this all year round day or night. It’s just the perfect sweet vanilla frosting fragrance I’ve been looking for.

maybe one of my favorite things ive smelled Ever?? suuuper realistic buttercream frosting at first, but after a while it has a powdery/waxy/plasticyness to my nose, less like sprinkles and more reminiscent of being raised a girl in the early 2000s. like getting those dolls or plushies that were scented as a kid. i completely understand the play-doh comparison and i think i just personally enjoy smelling like a fake plastic toy cupcake. if u wouldnt and ur hoping for a super realistic buttercream frosted cake try it in store first (it smells that way to me at first, and might stay that way to other peoples noses or on someone elses skin) unbelievably nostalgic

Vanilla cake, creamy frosting, and rainbow sprinkles, all the notes come through super well throughout the longevity of the fragrance. This is a great birthday cake scent, but it has a lactonic twist I've never seen in any other cake fragrance. The top notes on some whiffs almost smell like coconut, but on the dry down it starts to smell more like white chocolate, even tho neither of those notes actually exist. This is so easy to pair with vanilla fragrances, so I think it's a safe buy. Also I need to say, I love the straws in this collection way more than I should, it's so cute.

Finally got it yesterday and wow! I love it so much and it lasts literally foreverrrr. Very lactonic creamy and sweet; oddly enough it pulls chocolatey on me. I also have to say that it is identical (~90%) to the calgon red velvet cake body mist. So if you guys are upset about not being able to buy more, I would highly suggest checking out the calgon mist in the meantime!!! :) edit: THIS IS SO GOOD!!! i have been using it every single day since i have gotten it and paired with the hempz birthday cake lotion.... mmm oh my god i think this is what i want to smell like forever ♡

I have the lotion and mist, the lotion smells very much how it's described, cakey and confetti frosting like, just the mist isn't as cakey and true gourmand. As it dries down, it does get a bit more gourmand, but on first spray it's more perfumey gourmand, when I love a true borderline tooth aching gourmand. I do enjoy it as it dries down, but I do wish it was as sweet and cake like as the lotion. Edit: I love this so much lol, it's so yummy and the mist still smells a bit perfumey but not a lot, I think I was just being more hard on it lol it smells DELICIOUSSS

i really adore this scent and am kicking myself for not getting any backups. it honestly reminds me of something from victoria’s secret in the 2000s, but i can’t put my finger on it. super sugary sweet vanilla cake scent without smelling like a candle (body fantasies cupcake swirl has this issue) and without being bogged down by musk or sandalwood. the mist is slightly lighter than the body cream, with the latter smelling a bit more creamy. pairs perfectly with most femme leaning scents. the hand soap is also amazing. really hoping they bring this one back

this, like the rest of the milk bar collection, is exactly what the title and notes say. it’s a synthetic vanilla, but in a cozy and nostalgic way. it smells like those grocery store cupcakes with buttercream frosting and those big round and flat sprinkles. it’s like a better version of their precious vanilla buttercream/happy birthday scent. i get how this could be playdoh-y, but i don’t really get that on me personally. this also lasts and projects better than most other b&bw mists for me.

Love love LOVE this perfume! Super sweet, opening with a milky, lactonic note before settling into this wonderful funfetti cake aroma. Lasts surprisingly long for a bath and bodyworks scent, moderate siliage but wonderful when layered. Definitely cloying in summer (according to the average person) but perfect for colder seasons like autumn and winter. (Dont over spray it though, it does become headache-inducing and a bit yucky if so)

Love, funfetti cake in a bottle! The longevity kinda sucks along with the price increase 😒but it is what it is i guess. But she is cake 🎂 ! There IS a slight playdoughy/marzipan-y opening but it fades within a few seconds. Perfect nightime routine/bedtime scent for Xtra sweet dreams for you and your partner! I've worn this to bed the last 3 nights and yum. I'm curious to see what's coming next in the Milkbar®️ collection

i am so in love with this fragrance. i have never smelt a perfume that smells exactly like a vanilla cake with sprinkles, and this one hits every single mark!! it is so easy to layer this with other gourmands, and i am frequently complimented when i use this. MILES better than the cereal milk soft serve scent, it’s not even comparable in the slightest. such a strong lactonic, milky, sweet gourmand.

This is truly delectable, photorealistic cake and frosting. I don't personally want to smell like this when out and about... but at home in my bed? Yes, please!!! After my nighttime shower, I use both the body cream (heavenly!) and the mist. It is unexplainable wonderful and cozy. I am trying to resist the urge to buy in bulk since I know this won't be around forever... it's sooooo good.

Absolutely amazing. I've been waiting for years for Bath & Bodyworks to put out a birthday cake scent and this delivered on every level, including the packaging. This smells like the most indulgent buttercream frosting birthday cake and is extremely realistic. On me, one application lasts all day, even through work! Definitely my new favorite body spray that bbw has ever put out.

Smells like raw vanilla cake batter and I really like it. It's heavy on the buttercream scent which I enjoy. This is also a good layering scent with other fall gourmand scents. This maybe too much to wear with high temperatures though. Ideal for the fall and winter and maybe even spring time. The body cream is really delicious smelling, realistic vanilla sheet cake note.

I love this, I'm getting a more lactonic buttercream scent with rainbow sprinkles. Yea its artificial, which some people don't like, and it's not very cakey, but I like it. It's not too overpowering the milkiness of it is actually really nice, and at least in my experience its very strong and lasts a while. I love layering this with sweet tooth by Sabrina Carpenter!

If you hate Merry Cookie for its popcorny scent, you will love Milkbar Birthday Cake. It’s literally a yummy birthday cake in a spray. Like a Betty Crocker birthday cake mix batter 🤤 The dominant scent for me is the sprinkles - not in a cheap sweet candy way at all. Then you could smell the cake notes blending perfectly. I am obsessed with this scent.

I love this!! Originally i hated it first smell but revisiting it at the store I realized its perfect and sugary and sweet and what im looking for. Oddly nostalgic and reminds me of like scented dolls or toys as a kid. Longevity is shockingly good too which makes me happy. this would smell heavenly layered with a vanilla lotion i bet!

I absolutely adore this body spray. All by itself, it's a yellow cake scent with a suuuuper thick layer of buttercream frosting, sprinkles, and toasted coconut shavings. I love that this doesn't turn sour on my skin like other vanilla gourmands can. This is lovely layered with so many different fragrance profiles, too.

smells so yummy!! it gives a very nostalgic feeling for me, like a birthday cake i may have had when i was like 3. was pleasantly surprised at the longevity too and the straw is soooo cute!! highly recommend for vanilla scent enjoyers! i also bought in hand sanitizer form, but it smelt weirdly like popcorn to me. oops.

this is so yummy ,, its literally a funfetti birthday cake ♪ has a vv thick tasty vanilla / funfetti frosting smell with tons of sprinkles !! sadly ,,, it doesn't last that long and u can't rlly smell it unless ur super close T^T i think this would be good to layer on top of a gourmand birthday cake perfume!

I absolutely love birthday cake smells. This is such a fun scent and it smells exactly like a creamy confetti cake!! When I open the cap and smell the atomizer without spraying, it stinks so bad though. But if you just spray it, it's so delicious. I also love the bottle design so much

opens with a very pure milky note, and turns into the most classic funfetti cake scent as it dries. surprisingly is one of b&bws longest lasting body mists, as i can still smell it at the end of the day. looove this with fruity perfumes to get that fruity cake combo!

Yummmmmmmmm vanilla cream cake!! Agree with below comment that this is an at home scent. Bed scent all the way! I might wear it out on super comfy sweatsuit set days when I’m going grocery shopping, but this is something I want to be enveloped in while in bed.

Yummmmmm..I love it its such a true yellow sheet cake smell with an amazing fluffy creaminess. This is the most photorealistic cake smell I have come across in all my gourmand career and yet it is not heavy at all but so fluffy. This is a delight!

I am absolutely addicted to this spray. It smells like liquified dessert straight from my childhood—it’s light, yet cozy, sweet, yet sturdy. I’m definitely getting the entire collection in this birthday cake scent !! ♡

Very unique and one of the best cake scents to me so far! Yummy cold “milky” slice of cake, it has a bit of a marzipan smell to my nose. Longevity could be better but it does last a few hours.

This is one to actually brag about, and buy multiples of lol - this smells so good, it's hyper realistic, and is GREAT for layering. I was also shocked at the longevity! Really nice!

I LOVE the artificial smell. "Evokes nostalgia of childhood scented dolls" is a perfect way to describe this, too. It reminds me of those yummi land soda pop dolls. I also get hints of various plastic baby dolls I owned throughout my childhood. This is going on my "like" list and NOT my "love" list for one reason..... it's incredibly strong. I love my gourmand fragrances, but I prefer the ones that are less concentrated in scent- like the Crybaby MM perfume. I can only handle one spray of Milk Bar Birthday Cake at a time. Because of it's strength, I could not see myself layering this scent with anything else, either. This intensity was a bit of a shock as it's meant to be a body spray & not parfum. However, it does mean longevity is greater than most B&BW scents. As someone who struggles with sensory overwhelm, I could only wear this if I'm feeling relaxed and having a chill day. Maybe when I'm at home and cozy. In most other situations, this scent would probably be too much for my senses.

I picked up a little sample of this before deciding whether to buy the full bottle since getting Bath & Body Works in the UK is not cheap. First impressions were really good. It’s sweet, milky, and buttery, with a proper cake accord that smells like you’ve just pulled cupcakes out of the oven. My fiancé said I smelled like popcorn, which made me laugh, but he gave it an 8 out of 10, so I’ll take it. It’s such a comforting, cosy scent, like wrapping yourself in a vanilla cake-scented blanket. The only downside is the longevity. It fades so quickly and becomes a skin scent within ten minutes, which is such a shame because the smell itself is delicious. I’d love an Eau de Parfum version of this. It’s really delicious and pretty but far too fleeting to justify the price.

it truly lives up to its name. such an amazing “cold frosted birthday cake with sprinkles” scent 🎂 i honestly don’t think there’s another fragrance that captures it this perfectly i can’t stop smelling the spray but the longevity on skin is so weak... if there’s a more long lasting, more “perfume like” version of this please let me know 😫 it leans a bit young and on the sweeter side so i can see why some people might hesitate to wear it in daily life ~not me 😈~

she smells yummy and sweet and very much like sprinkles & icing. I sprayed this in class, and someone asked who was eating cake... lol however, she comes and she goes. like, quickly. 30 mins and it's GONE. i even paired it with the eos vanilla lotion and it still doesn't last :( i was stuck between this & cereal milk soft serve because they smell similar to me, but i kinda wish i got cereal milk! especially since people are saying it lasts longer

this is SUPER gourmand. It doesn't smell like a perfume to me but more like a thick vanilla birthday cake with a shit load of frosting, im in love. I wouldn't wear this one on myself, as im not a gourmand girl, but I love spraying it on blankets or stuffed animals because it just smells so good and nostalgic to me. this scent is super buttery and kinda salty but it balances itself out.

It smells like sugar sprinkles, or like a grocery store sugar cookie. It's simple, which makes it great for layering with other perfumes to make them more sugary sweet. It is definitely not very lasting and doesn't project well unfortunately. Do note I do get a hint of plasticy play dough from it, personally I don't mind and can't smell it most the time.

the cream is amazing, smells super strong and literally like cake reminds me of vanilla frost mountain by hempz. but the body mist, when i first sprayed it on it smelled a bit off theres some sort of burnt bit in there, I can't figure out what it is :( as it develops tho it gets perfect and way better. it does smell like a birthday cake

First spray i can smell the frosting, definitely the strongest note to me. Then the cake smell comes in with the vanilla. I dont smell the sprinkles. To me this is a heavy frosting vanilla cake smell. Really like this and I wish I had the rest of the collection in this scent 😪

Wow, this is such a fun scent. It's not "cakey" but rather vanilla butter cream with sprinkles. It warms up nicely on the skin and becomes a very delicious vanilla. So cozy! This layers well with other gourmand scents to add a sweet, vanilla cake touch.

when i first smelled the candle version of this scent i felt so sick to my stomach. i wanted to try it again since the notes are what i look for in fragrances so i got the mini when redeeming a free gift and wow. i almost drank it all.

I like it a lot!!! It smells a lot like strawberry pound cake but a bit more cakey to me. The bottle is everything and more. I enjoy this scent a lot and the body wash smells just as good
