Moonlight Path

My favorite scent in childhood, my sister worked at BBW so i can’t say this was my first perfume, [she brought home a RIDICULOUS amount of vanilla bean noel products, which i loved at first but quickly grew tired of. warm vanilla sugar too... idky the default was vanilla.] But this is definitely the first perfume i fell in love with, and the first that i bought. The body sprays Id get from my sister would never fall even a half inch from the top of the bottle; but discovering this spray in my closet i see it’s right at half. Loved it to death and it became my signature, I’ve been an “old lady” since middle school. Even following a career in botany, i’m attracted to white night florals, their smell is more intoxicating than any other flower, and catching a whiff of jasmine, queen of the night, gardenia, or even locoweed on a breeze at night excites me more than anything. it’s funny to think that this might’ve been the catalyst to that deep love for white florals, even influenced my style, which has been described as “mature”, and “sexy grandma” LOL. this scent just smells like self love and oneness. the image of a clear humid night, stars displaying the sounds of a thousand crickets, a path that stretches forwards. this is the flower the nose catches, and wishes it could hold in its depths forever, and this time the scent is held, as tightly and deeply as the nostrils wished they could hold it. the mysterious sweetness the night flower tries to conceal is more detectable than ever. breath is released and the journey continues, down this path, through this warm summer night. the formulation is still that of a BBW bodymist at the end of the day, so it lacks the complexity and depth of a high end fragrance, but wow it really does perform. if i could find a high end “dupe” with a little less sweetness and without that indole (i think it’s called) that body mists have, i would buy the absolute hell out of it.

I love layering this with my other powdery scents after a shower/bath, before bed. I feel and smell so clean! Currently I'm wearing it with L'air Du Temps (my Grandmother's scent), Stetson (my Dad's cologne, which allegedly smells like the original Chantilly by Houbigant) and Channel No 5 (my favourite). This combo is so comforting to me. I'm out of Heaven Sent or I'd add that too. Sometimes I'll add in some anaïs anaïs, but tonight I didn't. Initial blast has a very masculine cologne smell, but that dissipates quickly enough, or we get used to it. I Iayer with the lotion as well and the blast of white powdery florals is like using expensive French soap, for a fraction of the price. I really don't even know what it smells like as it softens because I wear it before bed and always layer.. BUT if you like any of the scents mentioned above, or if you enjoy smelling like powdery clean soap, you might also enjoy Moonlight Path. I can't rate the sillage or lasting power because I live alone and am really not sure how long it lasts. I would imagine probably not long as it's just a bath and body scent, not a luxury parfum. Layering with the lotion would help though. I think I smell divine.

This is the OG. My absolute favorite body mist. Nothing will ever top it. Powdery, musky, creamy, divine! I bought the perfume, the body mist, the lotion, everything! It's been a rollercoaster of emotions. I fell in love with it the first time I tried it back in the 1990s. Heartbreak when it was discontinued. Elated when it was resurrected in the millennium. Confusion when it didn't smell exactly the same. Resignation when it was discontinued again. I even used to buy the Moonlit Way dupe from Walmart which was an excellent match. Few scents have ever captured my attention like this one.

Smells nasty at the opening. Like an old, very dated and expired scent. But as it dries down, it’s like it ages backward and turns into the cutest, softest baby-powder scent. Very nostalgic to me I will forever love this. Smells powdery yet so clean and fresh, it’s very soothing and helps me sleep even. I love smelling this on my blanket and clothes after. If cute had a scent I think it would be this!! It’s my home & sleep scent, wish they didn’t discontinue this in Canada. I went thru like 10 spray bottles and 20 lotion bottles so far pls bring it back 😢😢

dead straight think thick dishevelled cream sweater, you live with your grandma in a small 90s suburban bungalow where there's little precious moments figurines displayed on the front porch window, and shes lighting a perwinkle coloured candle that smells like violet and musk. I spray this on my pillows if i wanna sleep like a baby and layer with other perfumes if I want to smell like i came straight out of 2009. unfortunately it easily gives me a headache if i overspray it
