Nocturnal Rose

Y'all aren't gonna like me for this perhaps but this is EXACTLY what my Grandma (born in like 1909) smelled like and I am not kidding. What did she wear? Don't remember! But she smelled like this precisely and specifically. Also is there a tobacco note in here 'cause it smells like it to my nose. Fresh wet tobacco. In any case because of that I cannot even begin to smell this as "masculine." I do like it! Idk if I would or not outside of the very strong nostalgia factor, but I do like it. Would I wear it, idk. Maybe if I was in my 80s and 90s.

Smells great and much more luxe than it actually is... Reminds me of Byredo Rose of No Man's Land and Le Labo The Noir. It definitely a dark rose scent, more appropriate for fall/winter weather Really impressed with this scent from BBW!! Wow!

Peppery, cedar with a hint of rose. Definitely masculine leaning. I personally wish there was a bit more rose, but overall it’s a great scent!

We got this for my husband from the semi-annual sale and it smells so yummy on him. It’s floral and warm, yet spicy. My husband loves it.~

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I want drawn to any of the feminine rose sprays as I'm a female that usually wears very unisex scents. This one I find very unisex. I get the rose but it's a mature deep rose. The peppery cedar is there but not in a cologne way, which was nice. It's not a complicated scent but more grown up for sure. Update: Day one I loved it...found it sexy. Day two, I got sick of the smell on myself and felt it was more of a potpourri ...lol. So I don't know what to currently think. I'll update again when I decide.

I'm not sure why, but I get a tea note in this fragrance. I really enjoy it. If you have Le Lebo's Thé Noir, layer it with this, and thank me later.

This one reminded me of Atomic Rose which I do not like as I find it extremely artificial smelling. Rose is tricky and I am picky about it. This is not a good inexpensive rose fragrance. There are a lot of amber woods in this fragrance and the pepper note is overdone. Made me sneeze several times. Personally my favorite rose that I tried there yesterday and went home with is not in the data base here. It is called Heirloom Rose. Like sticking your face in a damask rose bush mixed with my favorite Downy rose and aloe liquid fabric softener. Wish they would put it in the data base here. They also had an Earl Grey tea that smelled exactly like Earl Grey Tea. For pure tea lovers check It out.

I wanted to like this so bad but it's just SO sweet. Unbearably so. The rose note is about the only thing I'm getting from it. Layered with a musk (thanks to my friend's suggestion she's a real one), it's significantly better imo. But on its own, I really can't stand it. Not at all masculine either, it's unisex if not kinda fem leaning. Oh well. Someone's gotta hate

I was very impressed by this. I don't like rose but their take on it here is very interesting. It's a mix of fresh and dry roses with a black pepper that makes it very dark and mysterious. This gives a gothic sexy vibe. Yes it is linear but for what you are paying that is not much of an issue. The rose is slightly mossy earthy, with a black pepper that isn't creamy but doesn't have the pepper zing. It reminds me of Molton Brown firey pepper but more vampire lol. I like this , it's different but still smells good. I do prefer the body lotion and body spray to the actual cologne. I have been layering it with TF Ombre Leather. It's really good stuff . I give it a solid 6/10. Oh and this definitely does not smell like Atomic Rose
