Peppermint Bark Truffle

Dark Chocolate & Airy Peppermint... I was excited to try another release from the collaboration with celebrity chef, Christina Tosi, of Milk Bar fame. The chocolate here is forward, and of the slightly darker variety and with a hint of bitterness like the coating of Junior Mints and melted semi-sweet chocolate chips (this isn't like the vanillic milk chocolate of Choco Musk Al-Rehab). Riding on top is the airy peppermint. Reminders for me of the chocolate note in Demeter's Chocolate Chip Cookie & Candy Cane Truffle. With the chocolate, I also get a faint note of coffee (which could be the bitter facet), and something like coconut (which could be the cake). In the periphery, there's also a faint white chocolate note which comes out a bit more as it's drying down. In the lotion, the dark chocolate is even more forward, but in the spray the peppermint registers more clearly. If you're in search of a darker chocolate scent with peppermint, then you might like this one. This would layer well with other chocolate scents, peppermint scents, coconut scents, coffee scents or nutty scents (and more). Love it. Enjoy!

A sharp, confectionary peppermint opening with an immediate, very strong cacao-bark sweetness. The mint is bright and cooling rather than herbal, closer to crushed candy canes than natural leaves. The mint fades very quickly, but the chocolate is the standout: a well-balanced mix of white and milk chocolate. This part lasts much longer on my skin, around 3 hours, and is easily the highlight of the fragrance. Overall, I did enjoy it. It’s a creative and genuinely delicious gourmand fragrance. If you’re into sweet scents, this is absolutely worth considering — especially if you’re here for the chocolate note. Just keep in mind it leans more toward cocoa and dessert sweetness rather than mint, so it’s best suited for those seeking chocolate first, mint second.

A great fragrance for mint chocolate lovers. As these are far and few between, its nice to see- i was thrilled to find out about it's launch. It smells like milk chocolate, freshly baked cake and sweet mint. On the dry down, the cacao chocolate morphs to a white chocolate, keeping it's baked good quality and mint aroma. Its sweet, but quite decadent, like a heavy desert. It's comforting to smell and will leave you feeling gourmand and fresh. I purchased the mist, cream and candle. The mist smells as I described, but leans quite on that heavy gourmand. The cream feels a lot more like white chocolate and mint- and has this creamy, very lactonic note to it. The candle is more mint forward. Overall, it makes my mint chocolate enthusiast heart happy- amazing!

soooo delish it smells exactly like mint chocolate !! the mint is a nice sweet mint rather than a fresh or toothpaste mint, i find that b&bw always does very good peppermint scents ^_^ the chocolate is also very good and doesn't smell tootsie roll-ish at all ! ( the chocolate scents this yr have been so good i love their hot cocoa candle omg ... ) definitely my favourite out of the 5 and i WILL be abusing it this winter 🍫❄️❤️

This is the scent of my dreams. Sure it`s not elegant or deep or something mature, it`s a photorealistic scent for people who want to smell like a chocolate dipped candy cane. This is the scent I was hoping and waiting for my entire life!

YUMMYYY but i really like the peppermint candles b&bw makes which this it just in liquid form, so everyone i made smell didn’t really care for it because the peppermint scents aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but it is mine 😛

Peppermint Bark Truffle smells a lot like Christmas Cocoa & Mint but they are not the same, on PBT you do get the white chocolate and a bit of yummy cake especially on the dry down.

This is amazing! Smells like a Chocolate Peppermint Cake! The peppermint is not overpowering so if you just want a rich chocolate gourmand scent, you'll also love it.

I’m not sure if it just smells different on my skin specifically, or if my batch was weird, but it doesn’t smell much like mint at all to me. It isn’t bad, it just has a very jovial or childish smell, reminiscent of something like a toy store? It’s very hard to put my finger on..

the hot cocoa & cream candle at b&bw smells like you're huffing hot chocolate powder, which is this, but with peppermint mint in fragrance famously does not last long but this is pretty yummy anyway!

Smells almost identical to the canned peppermint mocha Colombe coffees minus the coffee. Chocolately and minty and gourmand. Definitely not for everyone but I really enjoy it personally.

One of few fragrances I liked during BBW's holiday season. I purchased this in the body wash. Very delightful chocolate/peppermint treat. Cooling and warm slightly relaxing.

Smells like mint chocolate bar candies. Love it but it doesn’t last long.

I get a really strong artificial chocolate note mixed with smooth peppermint candy. The mint is not like Twisted Peppermint where it's cold. This peppermint is smooth and blended in with the other notes. The chocolate note is the strongest though. It's semi-dark. It's the kind of fake chocolate smell in scented lip balm, bronzers, erasers, etc. It's quite nostalgic. I'd layer it with some marshmallow, cherry, or vanilla to soften it. This is the strongest scent of the collection, imo. The candle is good as well. It's different from BBW's other cocoa and choco scents, so it won't be redundant.

I really wanted to like it as a big fan of peppermint mochas. I really wanted a perfume that smelled like one but this perfume was just kinda disappointing. It does smell like peppermint chocolate but to me it has a odd musky plastic like smell. After a bit it just starts smelling like milk to me and I didn't care for that. The mint fades quickly and the chocolate note I didn't smell on my skin. I was surprised to see most people said it was long lasting cause it lasted like two seconds on me, maybe it's just my skin.

I really wanted to love this, but it's so strong and so stupidly sweet it really chokes me out. On me, it lasts at least 7 hours. On linens it lasts over a day. That being said, I love a single spray on my ankles & also using it as a room spray. Unfortunately just a bit much for me.

Starts off smelling like a crisp and creamy thin mint. After a few minutes that thick cake and bitter dark chocolate note becomes ever present. “Truffle” is the keyword here. Surprisingly lasts on skin for HOURS. Lasted a minimum of 6 hours.

I'm sorry, but the chocolate is not well done. It's chalky and cheap smelling. B&BW rarely does chocolate well. If the chocolate was better, this would be okay, but it's a selling point to this fragrance and it doesn't work.

Photorealistic peppermint chocolate at first. But the peppermint fades completely away very quickly.
