Pink Coconut Calypso

There are some coconut scents that smell like cupcakes, some that smell like sunscreen, some that smell natural, some that smell like car air fresheners, and some that smell like hair shampoo/conditioner. Pink Coconut Calypso fits squarely into the last category for me. It actually smells like a coconut conditioner I've used in the past but I don't remember which one. Whatever it was, it's something that's been on the market for a long time, from before every single brand put out a coconut version of their products. The scent profile is a very fresh, clean and slightly woody coconut, not too heavy or sugary. I really love it, in the way I wish the scent from my hair products would linger. This is the boost I was hoping for. Smells just like powerfully fresh and clean hair. I imagine it would layer beautifully with any other scent that's remotely summery.

Pink Coconut Calypso smells almost EXACTLY like the Aussie ‘Total Miracle’ shampoo and conditioner!!!!! It’s a light and fresh coconut scent with a hint of apple. Its similar to B&BW Oahu Coconut Sunset but without the weird salty smell OCS has. It’s on sale right now at B&BW and I plan to grab AT LEAST three more bottles!

I only have the holographic hair shimmer spray that they made of this fragrance. I wish I got the mist and body wash as well because I love this scent so much. It definitely is more of a woodsy coconut scent, and it is perfect for summer.

It’s a really nice light coconut scent!

I bought the big 8 oz bottle of the body mist. A very nice, shower-reminiscent coconut perfume. It’s pretty. It’s basically a coconut centric perfume with a faint woody accord and some added sweetness. I also own “Cool Cocout Surf” in the blue bottle and this smells extremely similar to that one. Can hardly tell them apart. I could swear that I smell vanilla in here too but it isn’t listed. Performance could be better but for a cheap body mist, it isn’t awful. Longevity - It lasts surprisingly long. About 4-5 hours which I consider very decent for a body mist. Projection - I only get about 2 hours of projection and the remainder it’s a skin scent. I recommend spraying heavily for this one. Overall Score - 7.5/10. I really like this scent. I voted above with a like. I do think that Cool Coconut Surf has slightly better performance though so I’ll probably be reaching for that one a tad more this summer. I may buy a bottle or two of the Shower Gel of Pink Coconut Calypso to see if that helps with performance at all. Will update my review if / when I do. Safe blind but in my opinion and pretty darn cheap. Thumbs up B&BW!

Sweet gourmand scent. Surprisingly warm despite a note of cold vanilla ice cream (not listed) and a powdery touch of musk (not listed) mostly vanilla and coconut. The coconut does smell pink like a kind of pink frosting on a cake. Youthful but grown up. Give it a few minutes and it turns a bit tropical. I can pick up on a small white floral note (the freesia or the lily flower note?) and like a light jasmine. There is no wood in this so don't know what a drift wood note is supposed to be doing here. This is not very long lasting but can be detected from your arm and out to the next person around you. Sweet sweet perfume!!!! I love it!! Great for spraying all over the hair and clothes before heading out. A good intro to gourmands for girls in high school. Not sexy not special just a simple coconut and vanilla scent for one of those days in winter when you just want to smell good FOR YOURSELF to get whiffs and go mmmmm loving how I smell today.

I got this from a friend that was decluttering. Nostalgia bomb, reminds me of Hollister and middle school gym class. I definitely would not buy it at full price though, it doesn't last at all. B&BW has better coconut/tropical scents that smell better and last longer.

I have the body lotion and I don't know if I got a bad batch, but to me it has a strong plastic smell. The coconut smells artificial and it's mixed with a more clean scent, but the main thing I smell is plastic. I usually love coconut scents but this is a pass.

this is one of the worst coconut scents ever, there’s something to it that i really dislike in addition to the cloying sweetness, good thing it doesn’t last more than an hour. any recommendations for a coconut scent thats creamy and refreshing?

It is a decent coconut scent indeed, this along with the other mint coconut one, this one is sweeter. I can catch the green apple, the lily, and the woody coconut, I think its a good concoction. The driftwood enhances the coconut, and the lily adds a lactonic feel, the freesia and apple add fruity sweetness. It is just nice to smell coconut scents that are not pineapple-like, those that do not smell too fruity. But woody ones, natural ones.

I have both the lotion and shower gel I can layer with my other scents that are coconut based (might actually work with Thank you next by Ariana Grande or Dolce garden!) Anyway this scent is very close to Harajuku Lovers G. It smells like noticable apple and coconut with a creamy and nutty quality! I like this one, especially because it can be easily layered

One of the most pleasant coconut scents from Bath and Body Works (I LOVE Coconut Lime Verbena, but it's too bold and citrusy to be described as "pleasant"). As everyone else said, PCC smells like coconut hair conditioner.

fresh and tropical but doesn't really last. there's something synthetic about it that throws me off everytime too. definitely nice for the summer time tho
