Poolside Cabana

Fruity and summery like sugar drinks by the pool. The sprayer inside the bottle is an actual straw, how cool! This deserved more hype just for the exceptional design. The staying power is poor otherwise it is a gorgeous scent. For as long as it lasts on me it projects pretty well. The opening is a sour, green lime popsicle - to some if might give mosquito repellent at first being so sour and sharp, but wait for the sugar which quickly smooths out the lime scent. The sugary lime-sour scent is the essence of this scent which accompanies a subtle soft sunny powdery and floral ethereal aroma. When I stick my nose on my skin it truly smells like sugar, like a lime drink and a sugar coated rim on its glass. Such a nice skin scent. Very unique to me. I could not tell there is pear here. If there is, it is sweet, not the salty obnoxious pear of some perfumes. The solar notes are not like the orange blossom type giving off a dusty smell, far from that. If there is pear it's the "god is a woman" type of sweet pear, a skin-scent pear. Not sure if the sour-lime scent is from the pear, I kinda doubt it. Pear when unripe in perfumes is not as sour like lime and it is salty to me. I possibly detect some sweet faint pear way later in the drydown as if it's a floral note along with the tart lime scent of the opening, but as if they're separate notes. I don't think the solar notes render the pear so sour like lime either. Most reviewers smell lime too. It's not the usual loud pear of Emerald Mist, (another nice skin-scent without the lovely ambrette that makes perfumes smooth, solar-musky and comforting -see Nude Sand by kkw, god is a woman etc). I detect the sandalwood mostly in the opening of Poolside Cabana and it's also beautiful. It is so weak as a fragrance though as weak as Indigo Dreams (which I believe has ambrette). Same league as Fresh Getaway & Calypso Clementine (which smells alot like Fresh Getaway), only this one is more sugary, playful and lighter.

I really enjoy this- an uncomplicated scent very befitting of warm weather and sunshine. I don’t get pear at all, which is a relief to be honest since other fragrances at B&BW with pear notes are kind of off-putting to my nose. Instead, I get a sweet punchy lime, or perhaps a limoncello- not sharp at all but cool and refreshing citrus. On skin, a soft whisper of sandalwood with some residual sweet freshness lingers for a good couple of hours. It’s quite a nice natural sandalwood as well, subtle and grounding. All in all, happy to have it in my collection for days where I just want a refreshing spray that won’t choke my senses on hot days. I’d put it in the same category as Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, maybe a sweeter/fruitier little sister to it but suitable for the same situations.

I like this. Very typical bath and body works. Really fresh and lightly sweetened lime, almost smells like jello. There’s a note in here that smells like a literal cool breeze. I don’t know how they did that but they did. Overall very clean smelling

I love it! I’ve been wearing Poolside Cabana often over this summer. I don’t get much pear, but the sugary lime shines through the most! I have used this scent to round out my summer scents that are composed of lemon, lime, pear, or even melon!!

A really fresh summer fragrance. Nothing too different or special, but still really nice to see more Pear fragrances from Bath and Body Works.
