Raspberry Sugar

The 12/2021 version lists different notes on the B&BW website. Raspberry, sugar & citrus. It’s a very fresh juicy sweet raspberry and I can smell the sugar! It’s like a juicy raspberry candy! I got it for layering but I love it alone. Hopefully I can get this release in the lotion as well. They only had the minis as of Christmas 2021.

I like wearing Bath and Bodyworks fragrances for every day for their cheerful simplicity. I like this for the fresh raspberry. When I first spray this the lily is most noticeable as a top note, followed by the plum blossom. It’s more of a tart raspberry throughout with the usual sugar note in the dry down. I like this as a fruity pick me up and I think it has layering possibilities with vanilla and patchouli fragrances.

Generally if you’re looking for something casual and non-offensive for day wear you can’t go wrong with a BBW body spray. That being said, there’s an exception to every rule. During their winter clearance this year I managed to find THREE in a blind buy online purchase: Raspberry Sugar, Winter Candy Apple, and Santa’s Blueberry Shortbread (not indexed), all three of which are nausea inducing confections. • Raspberry Sugar has a synthetic pear-patchouli-medicinal note. All enjoyment of tart raspberry is lost in thIs funky bite. Even light application doesn’t temper it. My advice, if you’re looking for a holiday scent go with BBW’s Frosted Holly (not indexed here) which was this season’s real winner -a lively green, slightly effervescent blend that’s so transparent and clean it can be worn year round. Or if you prefer gourmand there’s always their reliable Vanilla Bean Noel.

This perfume sounded so up my alley, but it rubs me the wrong way. I really dislike it. There is definitely sugar and raspberry but there is something medicinal about it. I swear there is patchouli in it.

I really like this! It was a blind by for me, from an eBay seller. It is very tart, even citrusy. I wanted a true raspberry kick, and I got it!
