Rio Pineapple Mango

This is absolutely the closest body mist dupe, let alone the only dupe I personally have come across so far of Marc Jacobs Daisy Ever So Fresh EDP. And I’m genuinely surprised no one else on here has said this. Both are heavy on those Mango & Pineapple notes & of course they even layer beautifully together. I even have the matching body wash from Bath & Body Works which of course makes for a great 1st step in this particular scent routine.

Well, I actually found this pretty compelling honestly. But I like some weird sh*t, so take what I say with a pinch of salt. I only smelled it once, but I distinctly remember it was a GREEN pineapple. Usually B&BW stuff is quite sweet, but this was underripe in a surprising way. It's pretty linear, in an almost rude way. The pineapple smacks you in the nose, and it's jungle-y/planty. It's honestly strange...because that's basically all there is. I didn't buy it, but I considered it. It's a fragrance for weirdos alright 😂 I'd wear it to a Glass Animals concert (IYKYK!!!!) 🍍

It is literally a pineapple and mango scent, kind of artificial but not bad. I like it but prefer if it was more rich, perhaps with some vanilla. As now it reminds of some instant fruit flavoured drink powder, where you need to add water. Performs okay for a mist, lasts a few hours.

The pineapple comes through VERY strong, it's all I can smell from it. Straight pineapple. It's not a bad scent to use every so often when freshening up but it's for sure not an everyday staple.

When I first smelled this, I wasn’t too sure I wanted to keep it. It oddly gives me a brain freeze sensation everytime I smell it out of the nozzle & freshly sprayed before the dry down. Also, I barely got any mango, just mostly a very tart, very harsh pineapple. I grabbed pink pineapple sunrise to compare. Pink pineapple sunrise is super sweet, super ripe pineapple. This one is very sharp, the little bit of mango that’s there provides a bit of muskiness. I think it’s a beautiful summer scent nonetheless, and my husband seriously loves when I wear this one. Because it’s so sharp, I like layering it with the Fiji sunshine lotion. I’m also thinking right now, how beautiful a rum note would’ve been in this! Im going to layer it with fresh coconut colada next, to provide the vanillic alcoholic sweetness I would’ve liked. Although it is very similar to pink pineapple sunrise, it’s different enough to enjoy both. BUT, if you don’t want too many pineapple scents, I’d say skip this one and get the new pineapple & shea from VS. that one is truly stunning & if you’re looking for a mango scent like I was this isn’t it for me, I’m keeping my fingers crossed they release a mango scent this summer. This hasn’t fulfilled my mango craving... and since it’s mostly pineapple I’ve since ordered golden mango lagoon off mercari. I’d also like to add that it projects very well for the short amount of time It lasted on me.
