Rose Water & Ivy

This is absolutely beautiful. I obtained a sample of this and it has thrown me into a major rose obsession (I also had a rose obsession in the 90s with The Body Shop Rose oil). Going by the notes, this is not something I would've ever even given a thought to. I'm also not a fan of BBW products anymore because they're so watered down. But this...THIS...is so feminine, so sensual. And it lasts on me too, for a body spray. I don't really get Aquatic here, no ozone. I do get a little green. What I do get is gourmand in some type of way and I think that's why I love it so much. Yes, I can't figure out how the notes in this are going sort of Turkish delight on me but that's what it is. I can't describe it...like a vanilla rose cake. Oh it is so so good. I'm in LOVE. Of course, it's discontinued and running over $50 for an 8 ounce body mist on the Grey market and I just can't spend that on a body mist. I mean, it has great protection and longevity *for a body mist* but is nowhere near the sillage and longevity I prefer in my perfumes. I like beast mode. But really, this wouldn't wear well as a beast mode. So maybe? I'm so crazy over this one that I'm thinking of buying the room spray and just spraying it on my clothes 🤔. So there's that LOL. The room spray is affordable. I could stock up. Anyway...this is so damn good and I'm now on a quest for something like this. Going to try Musicology The Rose and Nina Ricci Rose Extase (the one in the light pink bottle) and I know Delina is way hyped up in the frag community but for good reason and I'm thinking of getting that one too. Delina Exclusif...I'd love to try it but that oud note scares me, I hate oud. I've already smelled Delina a while back and thought it was pretty but it wasn't amber which was what my obsession was at that time so I passed on getting it. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas of anything that smells like this beauty from BBW, I'm all ears.

I cannot believe I am actually reviewing a Bath and Body Works scent here. Not that I don't enjoy their products or eager line at the door of their shop. But the fragrances aren't necessarily ground breaking. They smell great for a minute and are fantastic gym buddies or bedtime pals. However, they rarely really stand on their own or inspire a major purchase. Besides, there is a certain math involved when you walk through those doors and attempt to save money playing at one of their revolving sales, then end up leaving with 6 items, and $120 dollars less padded. This Rose Water and Ivy is, by all great measure, truly lovely! I see here that is smells just like Stella EDT, and message me if I'm wrong, but that inspires another blind buy, because if it smells anything like this, it would be worth the venture! This is a soft and restrained rose, that it leaves little to dislike. With a lot of rose scents, I have found, the rose is dominant and loud, in some form or fashion, be it dusty, or jammy. But this rose is restrained, demure. The green notes enhance the simplicity of the scent, and makes a very fresh and sunny composition. It has exceptional longevity for a body spray, and the sandalwood at the end almost creates a texture of creaminess. I can imagine this transitioning through any kind of weather or season. And as wonderful as it is wearing this cloak of optimism in the morning when I dress, I love it equally to wrap up with at night, warm in my bed and soft pajamas.

oh my god I love this scent I could cry. I thought this would be straight up rose and I love the smell of roses. It is mostly rose but the SANDALWOOD makes this smell so divine. Smells like sweet candylike smelling purple roses that my aunt used to have in her garden. Maybe it was "blue for you" or "love song" roses idk. It smells like citrusy sweet rose. Rose has a natural citrus smell and that smells exactly like this. First I mostly got the sandalwood note now I get predominantly ROSE. I recently got my hands on one of these and I was literally hunting for this body mist for ages after watching Mikealla Wegner's most complimented body mist. I purchased this from a store and they had one leftover from previous year. I was through the roof happy when I saw this mist. This one was stocked out everywhere. Ig it was meant for me. This smells like what heaven would smell like. The name is as beautiful as the scent and the packaging is to die for. I wish bbw would bring this up again because I cannot live without this scent. Longevity and sillage on the other hand is so so so gooddd. Rose water and ivy is a top notch scent. This should be sold as a core collection it's just that good. 100000/10✨ Bath and body works pls bring back this scent for SAS.

If you really want a scent that smells like roses, Rosewater & Ivy is a much better option than the B&BW fragrance which is named Rose (that one is full of fruity notes and rose takes a backseat). In Rosewater & Ivy on the other hand, rose is clear and prominent from start to finish, at times green, tart and fresh, at others slightly soapy or sweet. It's very pleasant and calming, and is never too sour or sharp. Don't expect it to smell like it costs hundreds of dollars (of course some pricey roses don't smell half as good as this one) but for what it is, it's very well done. Very balanced. If you're a rose lover on a budget this is a great option, better imo than the Body Shop roses currently available, and better than the other B&BW rose as I mentioned earlier. I'm so happy B&BW realized lots of people love their florals without heaping doses of candy or fruit salad. Those are great too but rose can stand alone with only some subtle green and woody notes to frame it. Lovely.

I bought just the soap in this fragrance, so bear that in mind. I won't rate the performance due to that. It's rose, it's somewhat transparent and soft, but also has a blend of an aquatic along with something *gently* green. I do love snappy green roses too (Tea Rose and Florabotanica) but this isn't as crisp as it is a soft, almost mossy (but in a clean way) rose. It's really compelling, and kept inhaling deeply. I think this ties with Dark Kiss for my favorite rose in B&BW's library (which is such a different style entirely, they're not worth even comparing). And geeze...I know people scoff at those of us that claim certain scents "smell more expensive than they are" when it comes to B&BW, but this is truly deserving of that claim.

This is my favorite BBW scent EVER (well this and In the Stars). I have been a fan of the hand soap and wallflower fragrance and I kept wishing they would come out with body care line with this scent and they did. I was over the moon! The smell is not straight up rose although it is obviously the most prominent note. Definitely not grandma rose if you know what I mean. There is green in the background and it is refreshing. Rosewater and Ivy is stunning and very feminine. Nothing rich or dramatic. I imagine this kind of scent drives men crazy. It’s not sexy but if someone smells this on you, they wanna hug you and just inhale you lol. And oh, if you miss Victoria’s Secret Delicate Petals, BBW Rosewater and Ivy is a great substitute.

Love it. This is the closest I have come to my scent memory of L’Effleur, which admittedly, could be off. I haven’t smelled it in almost 30 years, after all. But it makes me happy and nostalgic and that’s all I have to say about that. The scent smells like perfectly dried rose petals, to my nose. Just bought most of the collection.

The perfect way to describe this is delicate sparkling pink rose petals. It’s addicting! What an absolute shame that Bath & Body Works discontinued it... Bring it back plus a perfume version!

Ive had the candle and it was soo good! Really relaxing smell and good smell i might the buy perffume!

Preface: I'm not a big B&B fan. I find all of their scents smell like mall, or smell synthetic, or make my nose feel overwhelmed or itchy. Not to mention the potent smell of alcohol is their bodysprays. After dry down, the alcohol fades, but not enough. Unless its of their warmer or more boozy fragrances (which aren't my style) I think that every floral or fruity scent smell like someone has been drinking a tropical vodka drink or fruity fermenty wine or champagne. There's nothing complex about most of them, so to me it makes the price not worth it unless you find a scent your obsessed with. This Is my 2nd fave B&B fragrance of my adult years, the first being Lily & Green Tea, which is sadly not on Fragrantica. Review: With first spray, I do slightly smell a fermenty winey rose' or champagne smell from the alcohol, but it quickly dries down and reveals the scent of a blush colored rose, with aquatic notes, much like buying indian rosewater for making desserts, like loukhoum/turkish delight, or Victorian rosewater teacakes, but with nothing sugary, fatty or lactonic about it. There IS a sweetness to it, but its very light and not like the cliche sweet red berry undertones alot of rose scents have. It leans more towards a turkish rose, which is more woody, incensey and resinous than other roses. This woodiness must be coming from the sandalwood, which to me is harder to pick out, but I would know if it's missing. It blends so well with the rose that it smells like a woody turkish rose to me as opposed to sandalwood. There's also some white flower or peony notes buried in it imo as well. Perfect for cool spring or winter daytime wear. this is not a summer scent. if this spray gets too warm, it smells sour. If it mixes with sweat, it smells tangy and sour. This is coming from someone whose body chemistry tends to sweeten perfumes, so I can rarely wear anything gourmonde. But this sours quickly. Tbh I think it could be improved into a EDP with some lactones and the slightest bit more loukhoum. But for being a cheaper and more synthetic bodyspray, like I said, it's #2 of all B&B sprays I've tried in my adult years. My Faves as a teenager were the classic Plumeria and Country Apple, that I'll always have a soft spot for!

I like rose, but I'm picky about it. I originally had gotten the hand soap of this in a gift, and loved the smell so I jumped on the fragrance. Doesn't smell exactly the same or leave the skin smelling the same as the soap but it's still lovely for a rose scent. I match it with my rose perfume by Oscar de la Renta for casual days and spring time. It's longer lasting that way and mixes well if you want to add rose to a perfume. I like it in the fall as well, it has a magical romantic energy to it. Can be worn day or night.

A vottle of this now is being sold at such a high pricebecause it's a discontinued scent. Imho though, if you have the og Rose, u don't need this. There is just very little difference. But if this being sold today at fair price I'd definitely get it for sure. This is a fresher rose than the Rose mist. Maybe because of the green notes.

A lovely green, tea rose that sticks around. Delicate and sweet. Reminds me of Paul Smith Rose. One of the best scents B&BW has come out with recently. Also, you really can't over spray. The alcohol hits you first because it's a body spray but just wait for it to develop.

The alcohol opening in this is harsh. It’s a straightforward rose water scent that actually kicked off my love for rose perfumes. Sadly, I don’t think it lives up to my current preferences, as it lacks that special something that would make me reach for it. It's a bit too linear for my nose, but I think rose fans would appreciate it.

I am a fragrance junkie and a rose junkie at that! I have the wallflowers plugged in my house while I desperately await the rerelease of the bodycare line. This is the best fresh rose without being sharp! It’s just soo clean, maybe a little makeupy, but not powdery. I actually love to wash my makeup brushes with this hand soap. This is my ultimate favorite rose except Dior rose kabuki...the closest thing I have found to Rosewater and ivy is Atlantic Rose. Please B&BW hear my cries.

I wish they’d bring this one back in all of the body care. I have it in the candle, foam soap, and hand sanitizer. It’s so beautiful. I can’t find anything else like it. It’s the only rose scent I love.

This smells 100% like Stella EDT to me. I have the candle of this and the 30 ml perfumes of Stella and I can't smell any difference.

This one literally smells like roses de chloe. I swear

This fragrance and Chloe roses are the same 💯
