Rose

I love this one. When I first tried it it seemed like a soapy skin musk and I was like ehhh... but I wore it a few times and I now see the beauty of this scent which has become a favorite. I think the jasmine and musk add some creamy warmth and roundness so the rose is not too fussy or sharp. (I had to return Rose Water and Ivy as the rose was so clean and screechy it was a headache inducer.) This fragrance is soft, feminine, warm, and smells classy and clean. I love how it seems to softly radiate throughout the day so even in the afternoon I still smell it on my wrists and sweater. And this is just the body mist. A few years ago BBW released a scent called Rose but it was in a different bottle and I think it was a test fragrance for this one. I had that one but sadly gave it away! So I can't remember if it was exactly the same or slightly different. Beautiful packaging also!

This is such a soft and pretty scent! I hadn't been inside BBW for a long while and I happened to stop by one day and started sniffing my way down the aisles. The minute I smelled it, it was an instant love at first sniff. While this is called "Rose" this isn't just a pure rose fragrance but the softest blend with jasmine and musk which is absolutely beautiful. To my nose, one note doesn't compete against the other - the jasmine isn't too strong making me think it's too much of a white floral, it also isn't overly rosy... the combination of it all creates a gentle, soft aura. Before I smelled this perfume, I didn't think I was a fan of rose scents based on memories from when I was younger of really strong florals that made me wrinkle my nose. But this, this is a beauty and subtle rosy gem. It just gently whispers femininity.

I just bought a travel size of this, so I have yet to see how long it lasts. It is a strong, fresh rose. In my opinion, it is a scent that is not particularly aimed at older women or at younger women, but at anyone who wants a no-nonsense, reliably rosey rose. Though it is labeled as unisex, I think it would smell markedly feminine on a man. The dry-down is mild and has the white musk and jasmine notes listed above. Initially, it is all rose. I sprayed a little on myself on the way home from the store, and it was strong enough to give me a headache in the hot car. Be careful using too much of it in the summer heat! :)

I only have a decant of the body mist. It reminds me of Peony by bbw. Less creamy, more green/ozonic. Lasts 15 mins I think. You need to spray more. The drydown smells like faint used up dryer sheets with peony scent. Smells clean, professional. I like it from the opening to the dry down. I'll buy a full bottle if I can't get my hands on Peony cause peony is my ride or die. I agree with pairing Almond Blossom with Rose. Rose elevates Almond Blossom. It drowns the coconut oil smell of the Almond Blossom. But I prefer the Rose Lotion to pair with the Rose mist. 07/10/2020

I have the full size fragrance mist of this perfume, and I like it but I don’t love it. However, that mostly has to do with the fact that it kind of reminds me of a style of perfume a particular person would wear who I do not want to imitate. That being said, if it wasn’t for the correlation between that person I would absolutely love this fragrance. It’s not your typical granny-esque powdery rose smell, but it is a nice and elegant fragrance that works for young women and stylish older women alike.

A very fresh light rose scent that last all day on us (everybody's body chemistry is different) someone said it's marketed for women and men and think's it would be to feminine for a man but I disagree my husband wears this fragrance very well and has received compliment's how good he smell's. Highly recommend to all.

Bravo, BBW!! This is a beautiful, fresh rose that can stand right next to Chloé, Stella, and Guerlain Idylle Eau Sublime! I might even go as far as to say Diptyque Eau Rose as well. I'm so glad that BBW is coming out with some different-smelling products now, that don't all smell just like each other.

This is a true gem 💕 It’s a fresh rose, and the quality matches some of the niche fresh rose scents that I’ve tried. It opens up fruity, could be lychee or blackberry or pear. The fruitiness fades after a while, and you’re left with a soft, fresh rose. Just a tad soapy, but not enough to bother me.

This scent is stunning. Reminds me a lot of Chloe. Probably one of B&BW best releases!

if, like me, you have a thorny(!) relationship with rose perfumes, beware: this is gonna be way too extra when you first apply it, whoa. BUT! after it settles down, it’s got this clean-laundry thing going on — underneath the jammy, almost-too-sweet rose — which keeps me coming back. as at least one reviewer already mentioned, this seems ripe for layering. i once put it on my hair the day after using Youth-Dew bath oil — i’d shampooed, but if you know YD, you know she CLINGS — and accidentally discovered that they smell great together. performance tip: with these B&BW mists, you want to spray them on your hair (if possible) and your clothes. it’s the only way to make them go the distance. /fragrance mist from 2019

I bought this fragrance upon launch. It is a nice, full rose scent that enhances femininity and confidence. I layered Rose EDP with Rose fragrance mist, and showered with Rose moisturizing body wash this morning. This is always a nice, easy reach when you want to appear well put together. Rose is musky, and to my nose, smells expensive and classy. The rose does not overwhelm, like a lot of other big rose fragrances. It is not overly mature either. It is floral, and a touch animalic. Great for all ages and seasons, with great silage and moderate longevity. Safe blind buy for rose lovers.

This review is for the Fragrance Mist. I love the almond blossom scent from this floral mist line, so I got this during a BOGO sale expecting a similar experience. It’s a beautiful realistic pink rose with a hint of raspberry jam in the opening. Not too cloying, not too seductive, slightly leaning to soapy. Just a great, straightforward floral. Unfortunately, the lasting power is nonexistent, even for fragrance mists. The scent is nice enough that I’d be willing to try the EDP in the future.

I love this! It's a sweet, happy and airylight rose fragrance. Kindy sweet but not cloying at all. If you love happy-dailywear rose fragrance, you must like this. Not heavy at all, perfect for casual event and for daily wear. Imo this is also has the MFK A la Rose vibe, lol. I have both and I think they has similar (not a exact dupe) scent to my nose. If yoi love sweet rosy scent, you must like this. Perfect for bright and casual day. Longevity is just so2.

Everyone is saying this is a modern rose scent, but personally it feels a bit more timeless. Its slightly mature and there's a subtle powdery-ness to it. I wouldn't be surprised if someone's grandma wore this to church, but it also fits the image of a young woman going out for the day. It starts out intense and quickly dies down to a more natural scent.

Impression from a paper strip: Very fresh, feminine rose. Smells a bit soapy, or like fresh laundry, with a slight hint of sweetness. I love how simple the scent is, I'm just a little concerned about how the EDP would perform on skin, so unsure if I'll purchase even though it's on the cheaper side.

I actually can't believe how nice this BBW fragrance is! It's very fresh, light and lovely. It's just barely sweet, and mild. I love to wear this when I'm in my studio, working on art pieces. It makes me feel awake and elegant, which is a feeling I love when I am creating.

This smells just like the 1980s doll Rose Petal Place. Such nostalgia! Takes me right back to the 80s, yet it’s very wearable for today. I love all things rose scented, but sometimes they get too powdery. This is a nice fresh scented rose.

After testing this on skin I must say I don't like it as much as on paper. I get way more jasmine than rose. I like soapy or detergent-y scents but this one is more akin to air freshener.

Simple, straightforward rose. Not fruity, not medicinal, not sweet, not anything but rose. Honest and direct, and I like that.

Very sweet, citrus-y jammy rose with not much else going on. I think that listing rose water as the note is actually pretty accurate, but there's a little bit of berry and lemon as well. On its own it is rather boring, but it layers pretty nicely with other things so I will keep the purse spray I have around to experiment with. Generally jammy roses aren't my jam (hah) but I think this has potential to just girly-up perfumes that lean a little more masculine on me. Like a lot of BBW scents, there's an undercurrent of a lotion-y scent, which I think is what makes this palatable as a layering scent.

It is definitely a sweet, youthful rose. When compared with Tea Rose and rose absolute I have, it's reminiscent of the real thing but it has some fruit too which is not listed. I only get a little jasmine in here, but there is some light musk as well. It's not gorgeous, but it's pretty. Longevity isn't fabulous, but this is a favorite for bedtime. *update* It is so youthful, I'm letting my daughter have mine.

We have this and it smells not so nice, it smells like super powerful roses from a Viva Santo Niño parade. Maybe its just not for me. Smells a little too old, makes me feel like a wrinkly pretentious woman

Either I got a mislabeled tube of body cream or my sense of smell is w-a-y off. I get absolutely no rose scent from this whatsoever, but something that smells very fruity, like berries. No. Uh uh.

Cheap rose petal shower gel. Also a headache in a bottle.

I love this scent, but not because it’s a realistic rose (it isn’t). I love it because it is a pretty, clean, gentle floral musk that becomes one with my chemistry and just makes me “smell amazing” effortlessly. Your mileage may vary but I absolutely love this and it doesn’t smell the tiniest bit “vintage.” Every so often BBW creates a true distinctive classic, like with Moonlight Path and Japanese Cherry Blossom. Rose now joins those echelons. As a “true rose” lover who owns PW Tea Rose, YSL Paris (the original from 1983), various Arabian rose attars, Dr Hauschka & Weleda rose-based skin products, and Woods of Windsor True Rose... don’t expect that kind of “I’m a ROSE!” messaging from this little body spray 😊 BBW is all about ultra-modernizing floral notes: surgically removing any hint of animal/fecal/humid notes; banishing matronliness; turning everything 100% synthetic (which isn’t bad, per se!) and folding it all together into a pastiche of “creamy musk” and “whispery petals.” What I smell, on first spray of Rose, ain’t Rose at all. It’s cassis and pear, followed closely by rosewater Turkish delight, jasmine in the cleanest sense of that word, and a very delightful clean woodsy musk that is really the star of this show for me. If I don’t think about it too much, I definitely smell the rose. It’s very gentle. It certainly blends well with whatever other rose-scented personal care products I use that day. And I reach for this one increasingly more often, as I find myself moving away from really heavy-hitter vintage-y scents (much as I love them in theory) and wanting to smell less... aggressive. The packaging is gorgeous and fits well aesthetically with my other Rose-themed “stuff.” I’d say this is a great choice for getting your feet wet with roses while staying safely on the side of the clean, modern, and subtle 😊

This is a very straightforward, clean, and light rose scent. It's lovely, and it reminds me of the good ol' days when Bath & Body Works used simple names for all of their fragrances and they would smell exactly as they were named (such as "Country Apple" or "Cotton Blossom"). I've been wearing the body care line of this fragrance for a few years now because it pairs pretty seamlessly with literally every rose perfume that I have (and I have a lot, because rose is my favorite fragrance note). If you want rose, then this will give you rose, so I recommend it. For those who don't like rose but want to like it, then this might work as a "gateway" for you. While it certainly smells like rose, it's not too strong or head-y, so it's easy to wear.

This version of rose did not seem particular rosey to me. The rose was drowned out by abstract fruity notes that I couldn't identify (pear? berries? pearries!?), and while the whole effect was a pleasant one, I couldn't really pull out a distinct rose note at any point. I would have named this one Rosey Fruits. If you like your roses pure, big and unapologetic, this one might not be for you. However, for those who love the idea of rose but have yet to find a rosey love in perfume form, this might be what you've been seeking. Personally, I prefer a bit more rose in my Rose. If you're like me in this respect, check out B&BW's Rosewater & Ivy.

Strong 90s vibe so my mom loved it. It doesnt smell dated tho. Simple and unique scent. It smells amazing on my mom, she has oily skin and somehow it smells fresh on her. The rose is not dusty at all, its rose water thank god, it reminds me of ballet attire and pink pointe shoes. Bath and Body works has created some great perfumes lately, Im impressed. This one and Japanese Cherry Blossom are my mom's new favs, she also loves Twilight Mist by Bodycology the body mist, kinda similar to BBW Moonlight Path.

I feel this is a little soapy, like a rose/floral soap. I have the mist and the mini perfume spray. I love this, it is great to layer with perfumes that may not really be up my alley (I layered with J'Adore and it was amazing). The scent is light but it lasts. I sprayed some one the back of my neck and through my mask, I could catch whiffs of it all day. I think this would work well when layered with sweet pea mist, or even Paris Hilton Rose Rush mist.

This scent is too strong. And I have the body fragrance mist, not the perfume. So I can't imagine how strong the perfume must be. It smells like straight up roses and nothing else. It makes me want to barf. If it was a softer rose with other notes in there it might smell better. But just only the strong rose scent is vomit and headache inducing. This is what I call an old lady scent.

The scent is amazing, I can smell the similarity with A La Rose by MFK. However, I am struggling with making the scent last. I feel the scent disappears within minutes after spraying. Since the fragrance feels super clean I don’t mind reapplying but wouldn’t mind for it to last an hour or 2-3. Tips are welcome!✌🏼 (Review on Body Mist)

I love the roses smell not to sharp but also not that mellow. can I say it smells like potpourri roses but I love it so much as it is suitable for a humid country like Malaysia. You can wear it day and night for any occasion. I love it in the form of body mist, and candles.

This is a nice modern rose. Reminds me of Marc Jacobs Lola, which I had in high school. Definitely a mature scent, in my 27-year-old opinion, but not matronly by any means. A pretty, strong floral. I pair this one with BBW Almond Blossom and the combination smells amazing!

This has similar vibe to chanel chance eau tendre/ Zara apple juice. Very juicy, airy and fresh. No fruity notes listed on here, but it smells so juicy to me. Could be because of creamy musk. Longevity is around 2-3 hrs and sillage is arm length. Perfect for office use.

What a beautiful fragrance. I thought this would be a vintage rose, but it's not. It's a fresh, dewy, yet sweet rose. There's a bit of a sour candy scent as well.. Very elegant and timeless. Lasts a decent amount of time on me.

This is so simple, fresh, and modern. On my skin it’s not in your face soapy rose. It’s has a clean carnation vibe close the cleanliness of a floral shop. I’m so glad there’s no peony or bergamot.

i have no idea why, but this smells like glue on me. i tried it out in the store and it smelled fine in the paper, but on me it smelled awful. always try out fragrances before buying them!!

Not my favourite rose..but still nice to my nose. Little bit soapy..creamy.. like a caramel scented. So soft n feminin notes.
