Saltwater Breeze

I have the body spray and hand lotion. This is another absolutely stellar and affordable fragrance by Bath and Body Works. Bath and Body Works is really impressing me. This is a salty, musky, soft and sweet aquatic juice. I really like aquatic fragrances that have a bit of sweet musk blended in. I feel it adds that touch of sensuality that I crave in most fragrances. I like wearing this body spray when I’m in a low-key, mellow mood and I don’t want to use my expensive perfumes, and I just want to smell good and embrace that salty beach babe essence (even in sweatpants and from the comfort of my own couch). Period. It’s basic, but it smells damn good. Obviously, this would be a fitting fragrance to wear to the beach, or to freshen up after a swim or on a hot summer’s day. The scent exudes effortless, cool “California girl” energy. I plan to wear this whenever the heck I want though when I’m feeling the vibe.

this is my go-to everyday scent. it's light, clean, and really fresh. suitable for those living in the tropical area like me. lasts about 4-6 hours on my skin, might be even longer (depends on the weather, if it's ridiculously hot, only 3-4 hours top). it projects really well too, especially when layered with the body lotion. i got both the mist and edp. the mist is a lot fresh/aquatic than the edp to me, but the edp a bit more floral and develop nicely into the fresh/aquatic notes. definitely a repurchase as soon as it's available again in the summer. p.s: it is (unsurprisingly) also suitable for office. it's i got compliments from my coworkers the first few times i used this, before it become my signature scen and they got used to it.

I have the body mist. This one is such a pleasent surprise, a clean fresh light uplifting scent, an easy reach when I am home and in need to freshen up, lighten my mood. Think of freshly washed soft white towels meeting the sea, minus any annoying nose itchy smell, extremely well made, it projects nicely and creates a comforting bubble arround you. I have D&G Light Blue Intense, I understand why some people are comparing the 2, both are fresh and uplifting, but really different, Light Blue is all about lemons and apples and being seaside chic, but here with Saltwater Breeze, it's more cozy clean cotton and huggable.

This is a review for the body mist version! This was a blind buy from B&BW, and I am very glad I picked this one up. It's very musky and salty, and a little bit sweet as well. It reminds me of the smell of chlorine in your hair after you've been swimming a little bit. It's a very clean scent and lasts around 3-4 hours for me. I feel this is quite true as a unisex fragrance, and it's great to wear when you want to feel cheerful and fresh.

This is for the body spray. When I smelled this in the store it blew me away it's so fresh and relaxing I said to myself this is the perfect summer scent, when I got it home I told my husband you have to smell this he also said wow this is great and needless to say we are both wearing it and on our bodies last all day!! So you need to go out and buy this you won't be sorry.

This is the review for the lotion. When I smell it straight from the bottle, it smells fresh, clean and creamy with a hint of floral. Once applied on skin and it dries down, I get this beautiful creamy scent. It's not fresh or clean, it's like creamy coconut if that makes sense. I'm obsessed. Contemplating whether I should get the matching mist.

I have both the mist & the Parfum, I love the parfum better because its smells fresher and smoother, there is a noticeable difference, obviously the mist has more alcohol and is saltier, the EDP envelopes you initially with this Out of the shower aquatic freshness that lasts for at least 3-4 hours on me. A keeper in my perfume collection

Smells beachy but with the sun going down. Has the perfect musk and the perfect sweetness. Not floral warm but the salt was does give a solar vibe. I’m so glad there’s no coconut. This is dreamy-vacation mode at the golden hour. No sunburn or sweat smell. This is gorgeous. Reminds me of True Religion but less metallic.

Review for the perfume: My husband has been telling me how good I smell all morning. It’s soooo good 😌. Great projection, long lasting-smells sweet, salty, and aquatic. It’s addictive. When paired with the whole line, chefs kiss 🤌🏽.

(Body spray's review) When I smelled this for the 1st time in store, it's remembering me with DGLB intense in the opening. So fresh, relaxing, n im obsessed with the smell. Much cheaper than DGLB intense, it'll be a good choice.

This smells like if Clean Rain and Aqua Kiss had a baby. I love this scent. I like aquatic scents and this is a very nice addition to my growing collection.

In the store, this smelled lighter, fresher, and somewhat cleaner; though I wouldn't compare it to a strong detergent clean. IMHO a clean cotton smell or even linen scent is more akin to "detergent". At home, and on me (skin and clothing), it is much stronger and not as "airy" or "light" as I initially thought. It's still fresh, but almost like a crisp green apple mixed with florals. (I don't smell apple per se. Just trying to express the scent-sation I get from it. Something about this reminds me of Vince Camuto's "Bella" perfume. Bella is much sweeter; but there is an underlying note in here that gives me a vague impression that they could be distant cousins. Where Bella leans more towards being syrupy-fruity-floral, Saltwater Breeze is NOT "fruity"....but there IS this fresh crispness I associate with cutting apples. I'm thinking that's the water lily that's tricking me to smell this. lol Saltwater Breeze is definitely a good scent for Spring, Summer, and maybe even the Autumn months. I own the body spray, which lasts about 2-3 hours on me (more or less, depending on whether I use the lotion or not; and if I spray it on my clothes as well). It actually lingers on my clothing for longer, but you can only smell it if you're near the person. This is good for those who don't like anything too cloying and want to feel uplifted, fresh, and lovely. It's a youthful scent without being childish; yet adult enough to wear to work or a luncheon.

[Disclaimer: This review is for the body spray, not the perfume]. This was such a random purchase for me, but yet I'm so glad I did! I was in Bath and Body Works as I had a coupon for a free item. I was trying to hurry up and find a summery scent to get and not linger around in the store any longer. I smelled a couple other new summer scents from B&BW and just wasn't feeling it. I saw this on the top shelf and the name sounded intriguing so I decided to spray it on a whim. It smelled so warm and inviting, but not in a classically "summer" or "beach" way (no coconut or fruity notes). But something about it was just lovely, so I decided to purchase it. It smells fresh, warm, and oceanic, salty and sweet. It smells less "beachy" and more like an actual ocean, like others have said. Think of walking by the ocean on a warm night in the early hours of a sunset, next to a resort. That's what this reminds me of. I will say, I'm glad I "blind smelled" this at the store rather than researching notes, because I usually do NOT like linen based smells. So, had I read there was linen in this beforehand, I probably wouldn't have even sampled it. However, this does not have a strong linen scent, mainly just contributes to it smelling fresh and clean. While this isn't necessarily a complex scent, it is unique, and definitely different than most summer scents B&BW (or anywhere for that matter) tend to have. Definitely a win!

BBW Saltwater Breeze smells like you went swimming in the ocean and the water has now dried into your skin. A lot of “aquatic” or “beachy” fragrances focus more on the things you bring with you to the beach (sunscreen, piña coladas, a soft linen coverup, etc.) This smells more so like the beach itself. It’s salty and airy, with just a pinch of sweetness. I actually bought this back in February and instantly began to crave the relaxed warmth of Summer vacation. I need to get more of this before the secret gets out and folks start snatching it all up!

A very affordable and truly clean, beachy fragrance! It's incredibly simple and linear. There's no fuss or muss with this one. It smells like fresh white linens and lovely salty-sweet ocean air. It smells wonderfully clean and summery without any additional notes to distract you. There's no suntan lotion, coconut, or piña colada here—just sunshine, the ocean air, and a white linen coverup. This would go beautifully on its own, or layered with the body mist (which smells exactly the same but obviously has far less longevity).

In summer I love to spray my freshly laundered clothes, bed linens and towels with SWB body mist. It smells like the crisp Mediterranean breeze. Refreshing, airy, clean, a bit salty and with some soft florals in the background. I wear it on my clothes because the mist feels synthetic on my skin, I wear D&G Light Blue with it (or something similar). They match but I don’t think they smell the same.

This smells good. Like, really really good. It's not complex, and it's not expensive, but it just makes you smell a little better all day, and what more could you ask for from a $7.50 mini travel spray? The musk really sticks with you, but not in an overpowering way, while the florals come on fast and fresh, before disappearing and leaving behind a lovely, aquatic skin scent.

It smells like the toiletries at the Celebrity Cruise Ships. A clean aquatic floral that smells like Laundry and a high-end spa. Reminiscent of Crabtree & Evelyn's La Source Body Line. It layers so well with JM Fig & Lotus, Diptyque Philosykos, and LA Pomelo Paradis.

It smells fresh, and clean, and lasts a decent amount of time for the body spray. Gives a bit of clean laundry in the summer sun vibes. I like it and will use it a lot.

It reminds me with DGLB, but much more aquatic, less citrus, if you like DGLB you're gonna like this. A little bit unisex, a kinda day time fragrance.

As soon as I sprayed the body mist I said “DOLCE & GABBANA LIGHT BLUE !”

Reviewing the fragrance mist... there is something in this that I hate. I love fresh smells, the smell of salt musk and florals - so I thought this would be a sure thing. But there is a screechy, off-putting note in the dry down and it ruins the whole affair. Yuck :(

I agree with hauntedbunny91's review below. This is a bit too cloying and bitter. I don't really get any salt or freshness that I would expect.

I'm trying to like this fragrance but I just can't. It's a bit overpowering in all the wrong ways. To me this smells like a dirty fish tank with laundry detergent or softener. It does smell like the ocean, like a dirty, fishy, salty pier.

Ok so here is my review on this I sprayed some of this in the store to test it out and On the way back home I kept smelling my self and I kept saying omg this smell so good I’ll have to go back and get it , ( I was saying this in my mind ) then my boyfriend said what’s that sexy salty smell , And I said oh that’s me this really smells so good we will have to go back and pick this up , the next day I went online and ordered the body wash and body lotion and the spray gift set , and I told myself I’ll wait for the perfume when it’s on sale I can get it , so for now I’ll just get the body care set , now that it arrived and I just took a shower , and I used the body wash the lotion and the spray together , I noticed the smells takes a while to develop into that salty sexy smell , and also I noticed it smells a bit different then the perfume , the perfume is much more stronger ofc but the perfume is also more salty and has a very sexy smell to it once it dries down and the perfume lasts a long time , with that salt smell lingering in the air , the body lotion and wash and spray are a tiny little bit sweet just a pinch sweet could be the flower note , but I think the longer I wait the smell keeps getting better and salty , and I love salty beach smells , This dose have that smell of freshly washed clothes but with a very nice kick to it , so don’t worry u won’t , over all if u like salty smells and want to smell sexy , get this but u have to wait for it to soak into it and then u start seeing the transformation of this witch I find very magical , This is : fresh Sexy , seductive like it draws u in that kind of seductive Light airy and makes u feel fresh and very awake Very very great I hope who ever is looking at this or have made it this far Please give this a try and wait and see it transform

03/28/2020 - This is listed as a shared scent between men and women. In my opinion, this is extremely feminine: definite floral and powder notes. It’s perfect for those who love clean, fresh, watery frags. Doesn’t last long at all - 3 hours max, and unless someone is right next to you, they won’t smell it. Perfect for work. Which is what I need it for - but the reapplying annoys me. To me it’s a quintessential springy-summery-beachy scent, if you have low expectations for longevity and sillage.

I blind bought this because for a long time I was craving for a oceanic smell and all the reviews were good so I thought this would be the right product for me, oh boy, I was wrong. In the first spray, I actually liked it but it became too intense and stifling with time. For me, it is too sugary and salty at the same time and I couldn't find that aquatic smell I was searching for. It felt like a cheap product even though in my country it is expensive. Doesn't worth its price, in my opinion.

This was my everyday summer scent:) it smells like clean laundry on me, with a touch of musk mixed with the water blossom. Super fresh and clean, and doesn’t render basic after wearing it for a bit. Lasts maybe 2-3 hours so I always carry it with me to freshen up. Overall, I really like this scent and will continue to buy backups off of Mercari as it’s discontinued now :/

Usually freshie scents to me all start to smell the same, especially from BBW. But this one is unique, I love it. I have the body spray and body cream, which using both together makes it very strong smelling and doesn't fade fast. Very aquatic, beachy, salty, musky, and clean linen smell as well. Very well done fresh fragrance.

I am a guy and I have the eau de parfum version. I first smelled the candle version of this and loved it. The edp smells exactly like the candle. For me, Saltwater Breeze has the same vibes as D&G Light Blue. Only lasts up to 4 to 6 hours on my skin at best and projection is moderate.

Imagine Clean Warm Cotton and D&G Light Blue had a lovechild. This would be it. This is really, really laundry detergent clean and I love it. Even the body spray lasts longer than most of their other ones. They also have a wallflower and candle if you prefer the scent in your home.

It doesn’t smell like D&G to me because I get a lot of violet in the notes. It’s more aquatic floral to me than fruity. This comes out every summer at BBW and to me it smells like an expensive perfume.

I don’t know ...didn’t like it at first sniff , will see if I grow to like it...otherwise returning the body spray ASAP
