Sea Island Shore

I've always loved the fragrance cotton blossom from Bath and Body Works, but when it was discontinued and replaced with sea island cotton, I was all about it. All they did was rename it to 'sea Island shore' to be more politically correct. That aside, this body spray is a staple in my fragrance collection in general. I've been wearing it for over 15 years because it smells so clean, fresh, yummy, and soft. This is great for any occasion too, you can never go wrong with a fresh and clean scent like this.

I used to hate this scent back in the day but now that I am getting older and my scent profile is changing, I love this now! It smells like you just got out of the shower from being at the beach all day, put on fresh clean sheets, opened the bedroom window, jumped into bed and let the salty midnight wind blow in. It's so clean and powdery i love it! I will definitely be wearing this alot this summer ☀️

Super well blended. Never go wrong with this on any occasion. This is exactly beach perfume I was seeking for, not that coco-ish or crispy cold something like other beach perfume. Very inoffensive skin scent. Currently using this everyday.

Perfect white tee crisp airy scent. Also great as a linen spray. Love this and would purchase again. If you have sinus issues do not overspray.

Smells like clean laundry and rain. At least to me. I live in colorado and nowhere near the beach. I love it.

I absolutely HATE that B&BW discontinued this one!

I've had the original Cotton Blossom spray for years now, which for whatever reason was never inducted into the database here. I still love that one more than this, but Sea Island Cotton is a pretty close sister fragrance and will do if you're trying to replace CB. This is not an exact repackage, I'm literally smelling them both, and there's a subtle difference. Either that, or it *is* a repackage and it's reformulated to be softer than CB was. Either way, CB is the elder, stronger sister, and this is younger and more socially polite sis. There was some lotion in this scent in my dentist's guest restroom, and I think it's so perfectly fitting for an environment like that! This is perfectly inoffensive, clean and universally pleasant. It's unisex, and smells like clean laundry. I disagree with the "powdery" tag for this one, I don't perceive it that way at all, although the white musk fits. It certainly is an obvious white musk. There's a slight saltiness in the background, but overall this is just laundry musk and a cotton blossom (how is that offensive? It's literally just a flower/plant) scent...exactly what you'd expect. Original Cotton Blossom is/was stronger and more linear, which I actually like, but many people would probably prefer this. It's white sheets in a brisk spring breeze 😄🧺🍃

It is a very clean scent that I enjoy! It smells fresh with a hint of sunscreen. The best way to describe it is the smell right before you just into the pool for the first time for the Summer. Your bathing suit is freshly washed, and you are putting sunscreen on next to the pool. It's a very nice scent that would work very well in situations where you can't wear scents that are too strong. I will say, there is an underlying hint of citrus (At least to me, even though it's not in the notes), which isn't a deal breaker for me, but not my favorite thing to smell. Solid 7/10 from me!

Use it if you have a no perfume code at work. It just smells like you laundered your shirt with a quality detergent. Use it to the gym as a change from your citrus fragrance. Use it to the beach as an alternative to your monoi scents. Spray it on your sheets before you sleep. On your curtains on a hot day, and on your towels when you’re having guests. Refreshing.

This smells too soapy when I tested it on my tester paper. I think the remaining 10ml decant I have of this will be turned into a bathroom fragrance instead. Still hoping to buy a B&BW that I would be able to confidently buy a bottle of

Smells clean in a soft way . The cotton flower is the prominent note it’s a Little bit musky . I use it before bed . I need the lotion version as well

Very lovely for a short trip to the gym or grocery!! Perfect for when I wanna smell clean (hence. wearing it to the gym LOLOL)

One of the worst suffocating scents for me , it was a very irresponisible blind buy that I regret. My nose can't smell any floral or marine notes. Suffocating intolerable powdery cheap.

Please note that the newest re-release (from BBW's end of year/2022 semi annual sale) is NOT the same as previous versions of this fragrance. It's missing some of the scent notes and also disappears a lot more quickly than before. I am a longtime fan of this scent, specifically in the fragrance mist - and I'm sad that the re-release isn't the same. If you care about longevity and integrity of the scent notes, you're better off finding an older version of this on a resale platform. I love this. It smells like the sister of Cotton Blossom (you are dearly missed). I loved that one. I just got my full bottle today in the mail and the excitement to open it was worth it. The nostalgia it brought back is priceless. The smell of fresh laundry and clean aquatic notes. I hope I find more sellers of Sea Island Shore, so I can stock up. I just hate that B&BW also discontinued this one. Stop taking away my favourite scents.

Smells exactly like a dryer sheet! I can imagine this being wonderful to freshen up on a hot day. It’s a bit too powdery for me, so I’m returning it. Although this is loved by many, It’s also just not the type of fresh scent I’m looking for. I prefer beautiful day to feel fresh and clean! personal score: 4.5/10 🌊

Was expecting fresh and aquatic based on the reviews here. I got a heavy powdery musk and didn’t like it. The dry down was a little lighter and more floral, but not worth that heavy powdery opening.
