Sensual Amber

MAN ON MAN....SENSUAL AMBER is the freakin' SHIZNIT and is my Fall/Winter shiznit!!! I stay in love with Summer and heat is my bff! Often times, I find myself feeling deeply saddened and irritated by the colder temperatures BUT... ONE of the few things that I look forward to as I reach for my Winter coat is the constant and consistent, never-ending ALLURE, WONDERMENT, SEXY-SOPHISTICATION, and SWEET WARMTH of this GLORIOUS fragrance!!!! I have used it for years and it never fails! It is a luscious, creamy, sweet, warm, cozy, and oh-so-pleasant scent that EVERYONE around me seems to enjoy! I have never received less than 10 compliments wearing this stuff!! I love the notes in this EDT. The most prominent notes are the amber, vanilla, and praline!! I know there are other notes up in this but I can't really detect those for real....and that is ALRIGHT...it smells deliciously-good and sexy!! It is perfect for cold weather although I have been known to whip this out on a summer night too! Definitely worth your dollars as it smells GREAT and expensive but it is totally affordable compared to "real" perfumes. In fact, I would say that this perfume is just as good if not better than the expensive stuff because it IS affordable AND smells good AND has good lasting power/sillage. BAM! Way to GET IT BBW!! It is just pure comfort and sensuality in a bottle. And yes...they keep re-packaging the EDT (cause that design on the bottle looks young and a little too kiddy-like for my taste) but I find that the smell lingers on and on after hours! I own the shower gel, the intense body butter (which is a miracle in and of itself), and the EDT perfume. SWEET, CREAMY, and SENSUAL pleasure...this scent is worth EVERY penny! Ladies - - give it a try and I promise you will NOT be disappointed :)

I received Sensual Amber as a gift many years ago and I didn't like it, not at all. In fact I could not understand why anyone would want to smell like that, like a sweet smelling floor wax. Well, years has passed and so has my hate for this fragrance! It is still very sweet but where I used to smell nothing but a loud JAMborie of berries there is a sensual warmth to the amber/vanilla notes that I never noticed before and find to be quite nice. I really like wearing the lotion as it has a warm,creamy, but clean scent on my skin if that makes any sense. When I squeeze the bottle and breathe in the scent, I can pick up an orangey note, which I truly like. I agree that it is a fragrance that you can use to layer with other fragrances. I have paired it with Estee Lauder's Azuree. Since Azuree can be a real beast, if you can get half a spray on after you've sprayed on Sensual Amber, the amber and the vanilla notes take on a darker, smokey, mysterious interest.... Yes, I've learned I truly like Sensual Amber with all of its' warm buttery sweetness, and I've seen where it has been compared to Flowerbomb, which I like as well and there are great similarities between the two. I'm happy to have given Sensual Amber another try!

by far my favorite bbw fragrance and i love many! the notes of amber, orange, and creamy sandalwood (emphasis on the creamy) are really prominent in this fragrance, and combine in such a lovely way. i find this scent to be very gentle, sweet, and feminine, while still maintaining a mysterious sensuality. it's such a captivating fragrance. the only issues with this fragrance (i have the body mist of it) are the abysmal longevity and projection--it's pretty bad even for a BBW mist which is saying a lot. i wish so badly i could smell this on myself for longer than 10 minutes and that it would project at least a little bit, but it fails both metrics unfortunately. also, i've seen this compared to flowerbomb a lot. while they are similar enough that i pair them them together for layering, i find that flowerbomb is less creamy and lacks the orange note of this. i actually much prefer this fragrance to flowerbomb and this is my favorite scent right now (knowing me, this will likely change within the next month or so lol). if anybody knows of a perfume similar to this one, please please let me know! i'm in love with this.

This one is a favorite of mine that I hope to always have in my collection as it began my love for fragrances. I believe this was my first real loud fume. I have the EDT that I picked up at least 15 years ago. If I remember right, I did not like it at first, but it grew on me so I bought it. I agree with others, that some may find this offensive or headache inducing so use with a light hand. I don’t think this one is suitable for everyday wear unless maybe you’re Sophia Vergara! I think this perfume exudes confidence and sex appeal, probably someone who is a real firecracker! I just wear it occasionally or for special occasions especially in the fall or winter as I feel it isn’t completely me and can be a bit overpowering! I have always gotten a berry hint, layers well with raspberry scents or lotions. In fact BBW released a berry amber scent a few years after this, which delighted me since that was my combo, but I can’t recall name. I don’t get floral just the Amber bomb, sandlewood, and musk, but it is beautifu! Also, the original formula lasts a long time. This scent is a real head turner!

I had this a while ago, gave it to a friend, missed it, and repurchased it. Yes, I have other ambers, yes, it's not super unique, but I don't care anymore. I'm settling into my stride, and I realize I could live in stuff like this daily! My lifestyle calls for lighter fragrance and body sprays lately and something like this is perfect because it's indeed "sensual", but not overly sexy. It remains pleasantly noticeable at close range, but it doesn't project like crazy. This is similar to Flowerbomb, I agree, but I think it's way better. It contains a neo-resin warmth, and it's easier on the vanilla. It doesn't come off nearly as gourmond, although there are some yummy fruity undertones here that don't evaporate in the top 5 minutes. It smells of berries and peach. From the note list you might think it would become overly sweet on skin, but I find that it's not the case here, there's enough indistinct florals and other nuances to offset everything. It's very well balanced. Mmmm...snuggly! 😊🧣🌨

I love amber fragrances. Although this is not my #1, it definitely can hold a candle to other amber fragrances on the market for its price point. Sensual Amber is a smooth light boozy amber lasting a good four hours. Sillage is surprisingly good. This fragrance is a sexy, sensual scent that's cozy and warm. I get a good mixture of amber, vanilla, praline, patchouli and musk well-mixed together to create a delicious EdT. I've ventured into Bath and Body Works recently to sample their fragrances. It's been many years since I've walked into one of their stores and I've been pleasantly surprised by the array of fragrances. I found their fragrances hit or miss but as another reviewer has said, sampling to your heart's content is encouraged. Layer a fragrance, wear it for a few hours and decide if it's right for you. That's the beauty of this store. They let you try their products. It's a positive way to sample perfume. I like that. No hassles.

I have what has to be a 15-year-old bottle of the EDT stashed away, I stumbled upon it accidentally the other day and it still smells incredible. This was my scent all through high school, even my second favorites Japanese Cherry Blossom and Moonlight Path couldn't compare. I swear this was a formative experience and is responsible for what I love in perfumes today: sandalwood, amber, patchouli, benzoin, musk, and I loved that dark, mysterious bottle. I had no business wearing this at 14 in English class but you couldn't have stopped me. There is no orange or florals that I can detect, I don't know if that is due to reformulation or age. Just sweet, rich amber, no sugar, plum, or berry. I'm curious what the mist smells like, but the EDT doesn't smell anything like Flowerbomb. It's a shame I never want to revisit that time in my life because this is such a beautiful scent.

I got the EDT back in 2010 because MUA (what a throwback) promise it was a man-killer. I then proceeded to not wear it for over a decade, and damn was I missing out. This opens fruity, then dries down to a fantastic sweet amber vanilla. This is not the vanilla of Ford Tobacco Vanille; where that is thick and syrupy on the edge of cloying, this is creamy and lush. Fragrantica suggests a strong powdery accord, but fortunately it doesn’t wear that way on me. This is by far the sweetest and most femme scent I own, and it’s making me rethink my general aversion to the category. More that I’ve rediscovered this, I’m looking forward to wearing it throughout this winter and next fall. It’s also a cozy bedtime scent: last night I sprayed it in my chest before bed , and it’s still lingering. I’m also excited to layer it with some of my more masc scents to see what happens.

Sensual Amber and I go way back, like over a decade ago. I remember wearing this back in high school and feeling like it was definitely a scent with a little substance but still sweet and alluring. Wearing this scent now I still appreciate its sweet and sultry nuances but there is a quality to it that i'm just now realizing is somewhat metallic! I do not like the smell of metal in general in fact, I really dislike it. I just feel that maybe it's the cool berry, fruity, patchouli intertwining with the warm amber and vanilla that causes that metallic note. I really enjoy this scent and I feel that the metallic and fresh quality of this perfume is somewhat unique. I know people compare this to Flower Bomb and I definitely agree, they do smell very similar. But I will always prefer this to Flower Bomb and any other scent in this category.

An old BBW favorite! I bought some of this because they were having their "buy 3 get 3 free" special. I've noticed that a lot of people are comparing it to Flowerbomb. Hmm....well, I do see some similarity with the opening composition, but I think that's where it ends. I have Flowerbomb, and Sensual Amber is a much more earthy, warm fragrance than the latter. Don't get me wrong, I love Flowerbomb; it's very heavenly, but it's much lighter than Sensual Amber. I'm really glad BBW has never tried to discontinue this scent; it's very sexy. It's probably best for fall/winter, but I think it's good for summer nights as well. I use the shower gel and the lotion and I get wonderful lasting power. If you like earthy, warm scents with sex appeal, give this one a try!

I agree, the best BBW scents always get discontinued, it's frustrating. :( I'm still waiting for them to make Vanilla Bean Noel into a holiday perfume haha, one can wish... Anyhow, Sensual Amber is my most comforting scent for Fall and Winter. I spritz this on during rainy days and at night for bed. So soothing, warm and sweet. There's nothing like getting a soft whiff of this under the covers on a cold Winter's night snuggled next to your honey. This is the scent you wear wrapped in a sweater watching a movie by the fire or curled up with a good book and a cup of Earl Grey! This is totally unisex as well, on the right person this is divine. Simply good. 5/5 for most cozy fragrance. Not too woodsy or dark, but not sick sweet either.

I have this in the body mist and I love it. It's sweet, fruity and warm and cozy goodness. I love wearing it when the temperature outside is 60 or below. It reminds me of Jessica Simpson Fancy, Juicy Couture Gold more than Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb. Bbw Sensual amber last just as long as the ones I mentioned and it's a mist. I usually blind buy bbw mist when they have their sales and usually don't repurchase a scent. Well, this scent and the In the stars one( totally different from one another) are the only ones in years that I have repurchased for myself. I picked 2 of in the stars up this last time but unfortunately I missed out on the Sensual amber. I do have 1 backup. But yeah, love it. It's addictive lol

This is such a wonderful fragrance. Very warm and comforting, but exotic and sexy. Quite complex. It's strong at first, but the dry down is soft and very vanilla based. The first few seconds after you spray it, it really smells like Swedish Fish candies to me... as strange as that sounds. Perhaps that's the plum and berry notes I'm smelling there? That dissipates right away though, and you're left with warm, but slightly bright vanilla-amber that lasts all day. I love that this is an amber scent that isn't sharp or too musky. It's very feminine and pretty. This is definitely a fragrance for the fall and winter, because I think this would get to be suffocating in hotter weather.

One of the BEST BBW scents in my humble opinion!!!! Perfect for fall and winter and summer nights too!!! I am wearing it right now! Sexy, warm, slightly spicy, alluring, feminine......I ALWAYS receive compliments on this from men and women. People always seem shocked when I say that it's Bath and Body. That's right folks ....what is the take home? If a scent is good, it is good period - - no matter what AND that goes for celebrity scents too :) I have the body butter and the EDT and it lasts for 6 hours or so. I get the amber, vanilla, and praline the most! Decadently sexy!!!! I will always have this in my collection. A Must HAVE for the grown, sexy, and confident woman!!!!!

No matter how much I sniff around higher end perfumes I keep coming back to sensual amber. The top notes (particularly bergamot) lend it a crisp refreshing tea scent and the amber praline adds a cozy comforting element. I have a hard time wearing scents that are too fresh and airy or extremely warm. This is a perfect balance for me. It is perfectly blended and smells different on clothes, neck, arms, changing weather so my nose has yet to tire of it. I prefer it in cooler weather when the base notes stay restrained but if you are a gourmand fan it smells kind of like ice cream toppings in the heat: caramel syrup, candied praline pecans, a little vanilla. Delicious!

Sensual Amber is warm, sweet, cozy and snuggly. It has some depth without being dark, just golden and truly sensual. It has a delicious, creamy vanilla/ amber combo that is so decadent almost gourmand. The performance is moderate. The longevity is about four hours for the mist and six for the EDT (spraying with a heavy hand), but it stays mostly a skin scent. It is great for layering. It rounds and smoothes out any rough edges in the perfume you layer it with. I don’t get much resemblance to Flower Bomb as the patchouly here is very soft- if sensible at all, also there is no tea or osmanthus top notes. However on its own Sensual Amber is a gorgeous scent.

This one is still nice! Yay! I've been retesting all the amber perfumes in my collection after becoming one of the people who hate modern superambers. I am pleased and relieved to able to report I still like this! This is an old favorite, the first new amber perfume I liked after having Opium, Cinnabar, and Youth Dew in my student days, and I recently received another bottle as a gift. So I'm so glad I still love it! I can smell the floral notes but I mostly smell the sharpness of the base notes. This was a new fragrance when I started liking it but now it's starting to go vintage and take on some of the qualities of my old favorite vintages.

For me, this is the perfect vanilla scent. I tried B&BW's warm vanilla sugar and it was way too sweet. I also tried their cashmere glow and it lacked the sweetness I was looking for in a warm vanilla fragrance. This sits just in the middle of the two, but with way more body and without being so linear. Much more sophisticated too. If I were to describe the three in such a way that they were people, warm vanilla sugar would be a sweet teeny bopper, cashmere glow would be a simple, pretty lady, but without much personality, and this, would be a naturally, effortlessly, sensuous woman. Love this! :)

I love this scent! This is a warm, amber, berry scent with a bit of florals. This perfume would be best for the fall, or winter. It's long lasting with a moderate sillage. I get many compliments on this perfume. It smells like Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb if you want a more affordable option with berries added to it. My only problem is the atomizer. I bought it from Amazon and after about 2 years of using it the bottle started to leak from the top when I would spray it. I haven't had this problem with any of my other perfumes before, so the manufacturing of the bottle probably isn't the best.

I have the first edition of this one and I had the current one before. I think they are different. The classic one as shown in the picture with brown simple bottle and box is way more interesting and longer lasting than the present one sold in BBW shops.I gave away the current edition bottle because it had 0 lasting power on me, opened with an obvious similarity with Flowerboomb and then, just died, I could not smell anything in aprox 1 hour... I like it, a lot.(1 edition).Of course, there is no amber trace in it:) I don't find the similarity to Flowerbomb. It is a floral fruity for me.

An enjoyable, candy-sweet amber. It isn’t singular, but it is, to me at least, highly pleasant. I’m a big fan of both amber and vanilla bomb gourmands, and this brings the two together nicely. It's just as nice as many of the sugar bomb designer fragrances that are popular right now, but the woody-metallic amber accord adds a tiny bite that I appreciate. I get some definite citrus in the top, a vanillic, woody sort of amber and loads of vanilla through most of the fragrance’s longevity, and a vanilla with musk at the end. I really like it. The EDT I have has decent longevity, as well.

Why are all the best fragrances discontinued? As soon as I fall in love with a BBW scent, they take it off the market. I loved Sensual Amber for those days that I just wanted a cozy, comforting scent. It had a heavy, sweet amber/vanilla base that was wearable year round. There was almost a gourmand type of feel to it with the plum and vanilla combination. The longevity and quality of the scent were great! I'm sure there are a few bottles floating around online that I should probably purchase.

At first I didn't know that this one was being compared to flowerbomb.when I first sprayed it I said wow this smells like flowerbomb!so, I bought the edt and the body splash and used it for 2 days in a row and decided to check this site what's in it and I was curious what this perfume and which perfumes are similar to this one.I was glad it wasn't just me that I think it smells like flowerbomb. Today, I bought another 3 bottles of edt and 2 body splash!!lol yep! That's how much I love it!!

soooooo good! there hasn't been 1 time that i've worn this and not gotten at LEAST 5 compliments on how "beautiful", "good", or "great" i smell =) the first time i wore this my daughter wrapped herself around my arm kissing it and said i "smell like amazingness"! how can i not love a perfume that gets those kind of rave reviews lolz! there's no shame in my game that this is a bath and bodyworks fragrance 'cuz amazingness is amazing, right? <3

My bf's fav from the BBW line...he says it's sexy so I only wear it on special dates just for him! I do love it also...makes me feels like an Indian princess! I layer with the shower gel and body lotion to get the best longevity! I also love and own Yves Rocher Voile D'ambre. IMO the YR amber perfume is much sweeter, while the BBW is more astringent and spicy! I like them both...tough to choose!

Just finished the last few drops of my bottle. This has got to be my favorite amber scent. Ambery, woody, sweet and spicy.This is a perfect grown woman sweet smell. Why did they have to go and discontinue it? Oh well, the hunt is on for another bottle... Edit: April 25th 2017 Just got gifted another bottle as an early birthday present! Ahhhh the universe had heard my cries...lol.

This has the feel of a soft, comforting hug. It’s beautiful, not too sweet, there’s warmth and depth from the fruits, vanilla and musk. This would be perfect for a date night or cozy movie in. I am so in love with this fragrance...it’s quickly becoming my favorite. Edit: This is beautiful layered with Teriaq by Lattafa; also, check out Daring by VS if you love this fragrance

I have the body mist. It is similar to Flowerbomb, but not an exact dupe. Sensual Amber is a bit warmer and deeper due to the amber in it. I wouldn't wear it in the spring, which you could do with Flowerbomb. They are like cousins or sisters and if you like one you will likely enjoy the other. I hope they bring the mist back in stores in Canada so I can get a refill

I love this scent. I blew thru the body spray and need to get the actual perfume. It is warm and has a very sexy appeal yet is not too heavy. I hate super heavy scents but this one is just right. I'd wear this one year round because I love it so much but it seems more of a winter scent perhaps. To me this is Bath and Body Works best scent.

One day in a giant lecture hall, I sat beside a girl who was wearing the most beautiful and fascinating scent I'd ever encountered. I'm usually very shy about these things, but at the end of class, I had to ask her what she was wearing. I went out and bought Sensual Amber the next day and have been wearing it every day for the past year.

This is one of my favorites! The smell reminds me of a cozy walk through an autumn leave crested forest path in the middle of fall, snuggled in a warm sweater. I love scents that are comforting and remind me of nice things and this is the perfect example of one. I just wish the scent lasted longer though. I keep having to reapply it!

I noticed online that BBW seemed to have brought this scent back for a little while..I gotta pick up a bottle of the fragrance mist because IMO its better than the edt version!! Its lighter, a little more floral and wearable especially for summer. The edt is much darker and heavier, not so good for summer wear.

Wowza. If flowerbomb is the fruitichouli version, sensual amber is the ambery version of flowerbomb, hanae mori's hanae is the strawberry toffee version, la vie est belle is the Parisian version and vince camuto by vince camuto is the leathery rum version. I love them all but this is one of my favourites.

I originally smelt this a few years ago as a sample after buying something at B&BW. I immediately fell in love with this scent and have been wearing the body spray ever since. I have never tried the EDT and I regret that since this scent is no longer in stores only online and no longer make the EDT...

I just rediscovered this again after going through my stash and i fell in love again. It reminded me why I bought this. It is citrus sweet, but not the sour kind. It is not sugary sweet. It has depth for a body mist and does not last long, but i don't mind respraying. I can't stop smelling.

If you like True Religion Love Hope Denim but cannot get your hands on it, get seunsual amber by bath and body works and layer it with Victoria's secret Coconut Passion. when these two are layered together it makes the sensual amber smell a little more sweeter like how love hope denim does!

It is a nice scent but not remarkable in my opinion. Yes it has almost the same smell as Flowerbomb, but staying power and sillage are quite low on me, I have both versions of it. I am tired of all these flourished reviews, this is way, way overrated. Would not rebuy, nice but that's all.

This has NOT been discontinued as someone below stated! It is still being sold by B&BW, EDT and all. That being said: Soooooo yummy! The scent is so nice, and throughout the day it gets better and better. Don't hesitate to buy this if you like being a man magnet. This stuff turns heads!

Oh this stuff is seriously pretty. Light, feminine and sexy. I really can't imagine anyone disliking it - it's inoffensive, but not at all boring! Later update: Light on the trigger with this one! It's magic if you just use a single spray or two or you'll make yourself sick on it.

I love this fragrance, primarily because it is an extremely affordable version of Flowerbomb. It matches perfectly. I have the body spray, shower gel, and lotion of Sensual Amber and I use them so often it has become almost like a signature.. But I could never be that faithful ;)

This is perfect scent for the winter. I love the sweet smell and so do the people around me. But the EDT staying power is not that great, on me at least. I dont know why I need to reapply like 4 hours after I put it on. It is a sexy sensual scent especially for what it's worth.

Edit: so I just picked up a vintage bottle of this so I can finally give her the review she deserves. The reformulation smells like alcohol and oranges. I am so homesick to smell this again it's driving me crazy. Super excited for her to arrive. Will update soon. 🖤

After using the shower gel of this for years...I finally aquired a vintage edt of this. Yup...it gives me a V&R Flowerbomb "vibe". But FB is smoother and fruitier...and sweeter. Sensual Amber is a nice classic scent...a love for me...glad to own a bottle..finally.

Amber, vanilla, sandalwood, all mingling to provide the warmest of sweet scents. What's not to love? Amber is, of course, the most prominent. I smell no flowers, nothing sharp or fresh. This is a great cold weather scent, full of sweetness and comfort.

This is wonderful scent. A few years back I remember buying getting the lotion, cream and shower gel along with Twilight Woods for the buy three get three for free. The at the two SAS again I got lotion in winter and then in June I got the shower gel.

I really like this one. Only have the body mist though and it doesn't last long on me. If I want to smell it longer I just spray my clothes. On my skin I mix it with Far Away Dreams and it's just a creamy dreamy sweet treat for the senses.

Why would a company quit making the BEST scent they ever had? You’re drunk B&BW. Sensual Amber is so damn delicious and cozy. Vanilla, amber and praline are comforting and warm...musk and sandalwood give this scent texture: soft and fuzzy!

Yummy, sweet, sophisticated, powdery goodness! Dries down into a delicious vanilla with moderate sillage. A Flowerbomb knockoff at its finest. Definitely recommend purchasing if you want a quality fragrance at an affordable price.

Oh how I love this cozy, but sexy and spicy scent. Amber is one of my favorite notes and this is the one that began that love affair. Definitely one of BBW's best. I get all the notes listed blended nicely minus the flowers.

This is such a warm sensual fragrance just like the name would suggest. I also detect some smokiness in the scent as well even though it's not listed in the notes. It's definitely unisex and can be shared :)
