Strawberry Pound Cake

Unpopular opinion: I really like this. Yes, this body spray is tooth achingly sweet and has a very artificial strawberry note. She is not sophisticated or complex. She lacks versatility and is not easy to wear. Strawberry Poundcake smells like an aggressive and angry Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcake. But she is fun. And the performance is excellent for a body spray. I could smell this radiating from my dirty clothes hamper the next day. As this gets older it becomes creamery and more vanilla forward. But I think it really shines when it’s layered with other scents. Layer it with Yum Bouijee Marshmallow and it improves the longevity of this Kayali perfume. Try it with Bianco Latte to smell like a dairy queen strawberry sundae. And try it with BBW Fall in Bloom, the contrast between the sweet and heavy gourmand and the airy floral notes are refreshing and surprisingly wearable. Strawberry Poundcake is not something I would reach for everyday, but this is a solid 7/10.

I didn’t have this exact one — I had the 2022 version, but it seems like they keep changing the bottle design for some reason? I don’t think the formula has changed, though. It’s very feminine and youthful. It’s sweet and sort of creamy, like whipped cream, with just a tiny hint of something like vanilla (?). Lastly, it smells quite artificial. Artificial “strawberry” to some extent, but not really in the way you would imagine. It’s not like an artificial strawberry candy scent, as a lot of other strawberry mists or perfumes tend to smell. Many people dislike that it smells artificial, as it can be overbearing and make them feel nauseous after a while. You could easily get tired of the scent. But personally, I actually enjoy that it smells artificial! It’s one of the reasons I like this mist 😊💞

Why does Strawberry Poundcake have 3 profiles on here when none of the new Everyday Luxuries since Infinite Radiance still aren’t up? I mean, I’m a huge Strawberry Poundcake fan, myself—probably my most worn B&BW scent— but come ON! Edit: Anyway, I realize that *this* version is the one I have and I love it. Very sweet strawberry gourmand cake scent.. I’m glad they finally added the newer scents to the database.

i love this scent =). it is bright and artificial and candy-sweet. it sticks around on clothes a LOT longer than on skin. skin is maybe 2-3 hours. i can still smell the base notes on my shirts a day later. it's not photorealistic or intended to be anything except a super-ultra-gourmand-canned-whipped-cream-strawberry-candy smell, and personally, i adore that!!

Sweet strawberry, doughy. This was one of the very first scents I bought for myself and used alllllll the time. It is a VERY sweet scent. It dries down to have a peculiar sunscreen note but I'm honestly fine with it. My nostalgia is definitely clouding my judgement though.

Smells far too artificial for me, but a lot of people like that soooo 🤷
