Strawberry Pound Cake

Strawberry Pound Cake is a bizarre fragrance to me in the best of ways. I’m NOT a gourmand lover. I love true vanillas, like Viva Vanilla. But anything dessert or too gourmand usually is just really gross to me. And even if I like it, usually it just feels to sweet to wear for more than five minutes. But THIS.. Strawberry Pound Cake.. I had avoided it for so long. Always seeing it, thinking I’d try it, and then not getting it. Recently I had finally decided “I’ll just try a PocketBac” during a huge PocketBac sale. And I immediately LOVED the fragrance. To me on first spray it’s super true to a sweet straeheeey pound cake. You can smell that pound cake smell, the fresh strawberries, the cream. But there’s something else under it too, a more elegant, elevated vanilla. Upon dry down you get that, the strawberry fading back a bit. I often can smell this fragrance 12 hours later. I’ll pull a clothing item out of the hamper after a day or two and still smell it. It lasts a while in my opinion, and I enjoy have after a while it’s just this sort of Seeeeee more balanced scent where weirdly enough the strawberry, pound cake, and cream sort of come back a bit. Hard to explain lol. But I was SHOCKED when I smelled it and not just because I liked it, but because I LOVED it.

The vanilla isn’t rich like real vanilla beans but more like the boxed vanilla cake mix aroma you’d get while baking funfetti cupcakes. 🍬 Overall Impression: This fragrance reminds me of Pink Sugar by Aquolina, but without the licorice note. It’s not a groundbreaking scent, but it’s a delightfully sugary, comforting mist that’s perfect for casual moments. Light application is key—too much could be overwhelming because this fragrance has longevity. ✨ Final Verdict: A sweet, simple, and comforting fragrance that smells like a layered vanilla cake with strawberry filling and vanilla frosting. If you love gourmand, ultra-girly scents, this is an easy, affordable indulgence 💕

This scent is an absolute sugar rush in fragrance form. It’s extremely sweet— borderline decadent— with heavy notes of vanilla pound cake and artificial strawberry that transport you straight to a bakery. Usually, I gravitate toward softer scents like Strawberry Snowflakes, but there’s something uniquely addicting about this one. It’s unapologetically sweet, and sometimes you just want to smell like dessert! Honestly though, it's just a different breed of sweetness— rich, indulgent, and very bold. It’s definitely not for everyone and not something I’d recommend buying blindly. If you’re not a fan of heavy, sugary scents, this one could be overwhelming. Personally, I don’t mind sweet fruity fragrances, and I appreciate how fun and playful this one feels. However, the intensity can make it a little much for everyday use. That said, one thing I love is how it doesn’t veer into headache-inducing territory like flowery scents often do for me. It’s a great pick-me-up for those days when you’re craving a scent that feels indulgent and comforting. Just be prepared for a lot of sweetness— it’s truly dessert in a bottle.

My girl ! She is polarising in the best way . . you either love her or hate her. Strawberry Pound Cake is SICKLY sweet, delicious strawberry goodness - there are no musks, or really anything which could distract from any sweetness here. I definitely understand what people mean when they say that it's reminiscent of a childhood toy, like a scented Strawberry Shortcake plush . . but honestly, I love the hint of nostalgia which comes with this scent. It could feel dated but if you have the style, personality, and love for gourmands required to rock it. . it can be super current. I had the body lotion as well, which was maybe even a somewhat deeper scent. . less plasticine and a little more 'bakery.' I wish both the lotion and the mist were a little more poignant on my skin . . I found the SPC product I own which has the most longevity is actually the hand sanitiser. All in all, I love SPC though I can understand how it may be overpowering for some. . if you're set in your ways of loving saccharine sweetness, I'm sure SPC will be a success for you ♡

I voted "more female" but c'mon I slapped some on my husband and he smelled delicious. Strawberry confections being limited to women is so silly. It smells very "I bought angel food dessert shell at the grocery store and put sliced strawberries, strawberry gel, and Reddi Whip together with it." This is not a bad thing to me. Is it a little synthetic/reminiscent of not-so-expensive, nostalgic desserts? Yes. But sometimes you want that. It's not a SERIOUS scent, it's fun, and your smell should match your vibe, y'know? I didn't want it as the body spray, because I don't want this to be my personal signature scent. But in hand cream form it's perfect for me. It's so nostalgia-driven. Yep, spring and summer desserts, right in concentrated form.

I literally physically drool over this. I spray this once, and I crave strawberry shortcakes for the rest of the week. I'm getting the candle for my room. I was at the mall when I smelled this incredible scent. Following it, I was led to B&BW, and frantically ran around trying to find it. I cannot explain the nostalgia that came over me; strawberry shortcake dolls, strawberry cake at the strawberry picking farms, strawberry nesquik, making strawberry jam, sneaking cupcakes before a birthday party, etc. Is this cloyingly sweet and very synthetic? Yes. But is this intoxicating, WILL have people follow you around, goes straight to the pleasure centres of the brain, and is the most amazing gourmand B&BW scent ever made? Also yes.

It smells like the Strawberry Short Cake doll. Soooo comforting for me. I’m 51yo but I don’t care lol For me scents are supposed to give me experiences and that’s what it this does to me. One of my favorites actually and I wish it would have a perfume like this 😍 (update in end of October 2025 and there is a perfume like this now: Lattafa gourmand line named Berry on Top. Very cute bottle 🥰) My perfume collection couldn’t be more eclectic. Like I said, I like to fell things when I smell myself and all my scents (the ones I truly love) take me on a journey. That’s the beauty of fragrances ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lactonic Strawberry Gourmand... This is a playful but luscious strawberry gourmand. Reminds me of Strawberry Cheesecake Bodycology & to a lesser extent Strawberry Ice Cream Demeter. It has the strawberry pink-ness and sweet lactonics. The strawberry is mixed into the gourmand creamy vanilla, rather than sitting on top. For the gourmand part, I get a creamy sweet lactonic vanilla rather than a baked goods accord with wheat. If you like lactonic scents and strawberry scents, you should definitely check this one out. An absolutely delicious scent as you first spray it. Full on intense strawbwerry cake. Exactly as described. Strawberry, vanilla cake and whipped cream, just wonderful. This goes away so quickly though. It goes from an amazing cake smell to something that smells sort of like strawberry and artificial on the skin. I got it because everyone said it smells exactly like the Strawberry Shortcake perfume going around on tiktok right now. I would love this perfume if the scent stayed exactly how it smells when you first spray it.

I hate how diluted and somewhat "weird" the formula has become!! It's a shame they are ruining such a fun and girly scent to their terrible reformulations. Anyways, this still has the same artificial strawberry syrup opening with a cake-like base in the drydown and for the price point I can't even get mad. Even though it smells a bit odd (like spoilt dairy). I'm glad it's not discontinued. PS: BBW really needs to bring back the whole bakery shop collection (make them stronger)!🍨🍰🧁🍦🩷

This smells like specifically like strawberry gogurt, which is not a crime, but it is an observation.I Love it. For a while, my mother was able to tell I had gone down to get breakfast 30 minutes beforehand because of the scent trail this leaves—particularly when sprayed in hair after being oiled with a couple pumps of kenra silkening gloss. I do not wake up everyday wanting to be a strawberry poundcake girl considering how intensely sweet it is, but sometimes, it calls.

This is extremely fruity and gourmand-y. That's why I love it so much! It's good for layering with some softer vanilla scents to tone down the extreme strawberry scent, but I also don't see the harm in wearing it on its own as long as you go easy on the spritzes. Maybe I'm biased though, because I'm a strawberry lover through and through. Definitely don't gift it to people who can't stand fruity smells, because this fragrance is the very epitome of "fruit bomb".

I love this fragrance and keep backups of it. Yes, it's big, sweet, synthetic strawberry and i love every minute of it. I don't even consider myself a gourmand person, yet this one is just addictive and happy. This is one of the cutest fragrances I've tried out in a while. The opening is a juicy, tart strawberry, rounded out by whipped cream soon after. Strawberry Poundcake goes from being so sweet and feminine to a warm, fruity scent radiating at arm length after a couple hours. I would buy this in a travel size for when I'm feeling like leaning into my femininity for brunch or shopping. Instant mood booster. For the girly girls.

Overly hated, one I got on the hate train for a bit but one that I now love. Initial spray gives someone ate some strawberries and then threw them up but if you wait a few minutes it smells like the sweetest gourmand strawberry cake, as it should. Something to note is that it doesn’t smell like the body wash from the same line, the body wash smells more like strawberry yogurt, lactonic. Also holds up really well on clothes.

I followed the intoxicating scent of this unbeknownst to me until I found the culprit: a grocery worker! I walked up to her in the bread aisle and I asked what delicious perfume she was wearing and she sheepishly replied the B&BW strawberry pound cake lotion and body spray! It filled the air with the most realistic Strawberry 🍓 nesquik 🥛 scent all around! I need this in my life as that was my favorite milk as a kid!

at first i really really didn’t like this scent and i was quite upset because ive heard that so many people love it but i was so disappointed, it quite artificial and synthetic. i smelled it again after it sat in my room for a few months and i am kind of starting to like it! its definitely quite different to other strawberry scents ive smelled but i have really came around to it and its grew on me quite a bit

This is one of my faves 😍 It used to be super strong back in the day and smelt a bit too cloying. But the reformulated version has been toned down and honestly it smells sooo delicious! It smells like sweet vanilla cupcakes with delicious pink strawberry frosting on top. It is a very photorealistic scent which I really appreciate. The longevity however isn’t that great but it lasts a decent 1-2 hrs.

I have the DUA version which smells delightful to me but it's still not something I would ever wear stand alone. I layer it with Miss Dior Cherie to bring out the strawberry note and tone down the patchouli. I love a good chypre but patchouli can really dominate a fragrance if not done in moderation. The two combined are lovely and I often get compliments when I wear the two together.

Delicious!!! As someone who was looking for a silly little strawberry cupcake scent, this is just what I wanted. Yes, it's artificial and juvenile - but it works and it's just carefree enough. Smells just like it promises - juicy, sugary strawberry, vanilla cake and creamy frosting. Longevity is ok at ~4h on skin and clothes with moderate sillage. Careful on overspraying, though.
