Sunset Glow

This is a really lovely end of summer, beginning of fall fragrance from BBW. It feels like a reiteration on Cactus Blossom, but slightly more gourmand. I'm not usually a fan of gourmand scents, but this one really works for me due to the floral notes from the moon flower. Some people mention this being a cherry-coconut or cherry-vanilla scent. I feel like that's a bit of an oversimplification. It's coconut/moon flower forward, and there is a hint of cherryness, but it's more of an effervescent light cherry (which makes sense as the notes include 'cherry seltzer'). If I didn't know it was in there I wouldn't be able to put my finger on it immediately. Also, like Cactus Blossom, the vanilla really gives it some warmth and body. Sunset Glow is a very appropriate name, this scent gives me major 'sunset beach bonfire' vibes. All in all, maybe not the most sophisticated of BBW's offerings but a definite crowd pleaser.

I just got this recently from another seller cause the outlets in my place seemed to run out of sunset glow full size body mist. I tested this two weeks ago at an outlet (travel size tester and travel size only was sold in the outlet) and to my surprise, I immediately fall in love with the smell. It smells very unique, not very sweet, not so coconut-ish, not even super cherry drenched or vanilla smothered. It's somewhat in the middle of everything it listed. Very sensual body mist. Not harsh on the nose nor it smells like cough syrup or cloying that i makes you feel nauseated. I realized that this particular body mist lasted better on my skin. Not sure if it was the formulation or the combination of scents in it that makes it slightly better than any BBW body mists I owned. I hope they didn't discontinue this. I really love the smell of it. Perfect for all year round sunny Malaysian weather.

I've recently let this rest a while after transit, and finally I can smell its truest scent ( because when it arrived the alcohol is super strong ). the opening smells like cherries that slightly reminded me of dr pepper mixed with coconut, but along with it, there is this smell of caramel that surrounded it too. the caramel in this one isn't definitely warm for me or the cozy kind of caramel, it's a sweet, edible one. so I must say that I smell like a snack with this perfume. the drydown is heavenly ! I must say - although it smells like lactonic caramel. sad to say that this doesn't last long on my skin because it became faint for just about 30 minutes. although when sprayed on clothes it lasts def longer. I'll be careful on overspraying though, the caramel might become sickly sweet. I might make this as one of my everyday scents, I'd love to smell like caramel. ♡

I totally hated this scent at first, gave it a second try but her fate was to be abandoned in my desk as a random body mist. I didn’t like how it smelled slightly cheesy (but that was before) NOOWWW I love it !! This is one of bbw’s fragrance mist that doesn’t lean towards “misty” smell but more of a perfume. It’s a delectable dark caramel scent !! It has a toasty creamy smell with noticeable cherry notes that makes it subtly sexy. Body mists tend to perform really weak like one spray can ghost you in a few minutes but this one performed way too well, it’s too good to be true. 😭 projection-wise? Sure, it’s not a beast, but longevity ATE !! I planned to do my laundry the day after and this perfume was still lingering on the shirt I used. Somehow, this reminds me of Ariana Grande’s classic perfume, her debut fragrance, Ari. Idk maybe it’s just me?

Such a beauty...I shy'd away for far too long. Cherry & cherry blossom notes usually get way too amplified on my skin. But this notes sings beautifully in the background of the sweetly, creamy, warm floral that it is on me. Florals tend bloom beautifully on my skin & this one is no exception. Moonflower notes don't always come through for me, but wow does this one ever. I don't really get a seltzer note in this one. It's really more warm, creamy kiss of sweetness (not at all candy sweet) with a nutty quality to the coconut note & that succulent hint of cherry wafting back & forth in the back. All of this supports the moonflower so amazingly well. I love layering this with some other faves for fun new combos. One of my absolute go to combos with Sunset Glow is VS Bombshell Intense, simply amazing together!!!
