Tiki Bay Island Margarita

I ADORE this candle scent. I was so crushed that this was discontinued as body care and I never got any, but I just purchased 3! Great for a spring/summer fresh scent!

I like how this is fruity yet still fresh and not too sweet! I was worried it would have that same sourness as Waikiki Beach Coconut, but this is surprisingly smooth. I think it’s because I expected a lemon or lime note, since it’s a margarita scent, but thank goodness the citrus note is orange and therefore has a slight sweetness. I almost skipped this but it was released for the SAS and I figured “why not” cause it was dirt cheap and it never hurts to have great summer scents. Glad I bought it! The mango note really pulls it together and this can be layered with so many mango and orange forward scents for summer. Can’t wait to try layering combos for summer with this!

Ehhh...I love mandarin orange and mango, but I dislike how B&BW rendered the notes in this one. In fact, I don't appreciate that there's no tequila or lime here, and the salt is undetectable. I ordered some products quickly during SAS hoping for a tangy/limey fragrance (like true margaritas 🍹), and admittedly I didn't check Fragrantica first. I should've, because I wasn't looking forward to a predominantly sweet orange. But, sometimes I love sweet orange. This though...doesn't contain enough 'relief' notes. The mandarin is very sugary. The mango is also verging on cloying, and there's not enough tartness to offset any of it. It really didn't smell at all like real margaritas (my favorite mixed drink), and it bothered me. It's not unbearable, but it's not great. I had a candle, some soap and a body lotion in this, and I ended up giving them all away. I didn't necessarily hate the scent, but it was so incongruous to the title and theme, that I figured it was all better off with people who would enjoy it more. Bummer. They can't all be winners I guess! 🙃

I have the BBW Island Margarita candle, and the fragrance notes are: "Sweet Mandarin, Island Mango, Sea Salt with Essential Oils" - no whiskey listed; so I was surprised to see whiskey listed as a note here for the mist, because it's definitely not in the mist. To me, this has the same mango/mandarin base and a touch of salt that the candle does - but then adds a bit more not found in the candle: - a bit of green banana leaf - a splash of coconut water - just a hint of tequila & lime It's refreshing, tropical, and so delicious - so if you love the candle, enjoy the additional notes like these, and loved any of the older tropical Escada summer releases... you might like this!

This smells delicious! It is tropical fruity sweet, but the bourbon adds some depth and it just smells JUICY and cool, like drinking a fruity cocktail in the evening breeze. I'm picky with tropical scents because they can sometimes smell like air fresheners, but this one is just wonderful! A nice different sort of tropical scent. I like the ombre bottle design, too.
