Tropidelic Eau de Parfum

Interesting scent, very unique to me and it smelled like an odd combo at first, but I needed time to understand its character, so it's not a crowd pleaser and that's good. It is different than what I'm used to by BBW in a good way. Starts off very sweet like purple or pink in my mind (like passion flower) with a beautiful green vibe (that's the tropical part for me). It features this gorgeous bubblegum floral scent in the opening -must be the passion flower mixed with the ylang ylang, then it becomes more perfumey as it turns very solar like orange blossom (but it's the ylang ylang actually, not salty like orange blossom), slightly powdery, balsamic and "yellow" (just like ylang ylang), like timid sun rays in a cool, misty rainforest. So the opening is impressive, it had me and my mom go "WOW". It is along the lines of Meet Me In Miami's opening: a sweet bubblegum-like scent like tuberose in Meet me in Miami, but an equally intoxicating floral note here too. I don't know if that's the passion flower combined with the ylang ylang giving the impression of night flower, magnolia or osmanthus - these prickly bushes with the white flowers that smell so intoxicating and strong during spring time esp in NC and SC) or some other hidden note, but definitely a flower, so ethereal and addicting. This is why a review on BBW mentioned a gardenia scent (gardenia is much heavier tho). This floral combo really is the essence of this perfume and makes the perfume less tropical imo. Here the passion flower makes the scent much sweeter and juicier than Meet me In Miami. I consider the two to be cousins. Passion flower is incredible wherever I find it (VS Passion Flowers is a good example of that). The rainforest note here is refreshing similar to the palm trees note of Meet Me in Miami as I said in my BBW review, but they're essentially two different scents in the same league, including the Fresh Jungle Rain mist, but Tropidelic is NOT a dupe for Fresh Jungle Rain which is mainly green not floral and kinda coconuty at first and very very watery so its green element is not in harmony at the drydown, like Blackberry & Basil's weird green scent (that's for Fresh Jungle Rain). Meet me in Miami has more in common with Fresh Jungle Rain, but all three have a green element. In both scents, Tropidelic and Meet Me In Miami, there is strong floral essence (the bubblegum-white floral vibe I mentioned). Meet Me in Miami has become my favorite scent for that matter and it is flawless on my skin. Tropidelic just became my 2nd favorite in this league, I can spray it all day on me lol. I must add the SunKissed mist being in the Tropidelic league as it also contains this solar floral element found in Tropidelic, only here it's more green without the sun tan lotion vibe of Sunkissed (a fav of mine). The drydown of Tropidelic is powdery on me, kinda woody and even reminiscent of church incense at times, while the ylang ylang smells kinda like the orange blossom note in SunKissed as I said. There is also this weird green dusty camphor type of smell, possibly the ylang ylang with the "rain" notes, that I detect at the projection the minute the ylang ylang develops and at first it let me down, but then ylang ylang blends with the rest and the drydown is intoxicating like the sun is smiling at you or something, just beautiful. I smell the same camphor-like dusty scent in two other BBW floral body washes and lotions, it's subtle, not something that will bother most people. I find it in the Sunkissed body wash (not the mist) and in the At the Beach lotion and body wash, hard to explain it, maybe it accompanies scents with a solar "sun-drenched" note of orange blossom or ylang ylang. I had to sell my Sunkissed body wash for that matter even tho the Sunkissed mist is a favorite of mine and lacks the camphor smell. At the Beach has "SunKissed musk" and frangipani blossoms, so something's going on with these solar notes and blossom flowers in some BBW scents that don't mix well with my chemistry, maybe they are too intense at first and give a slight camphor aftertaste. My mom didn't get any camphor smell so it's just me, no worries lol. At first I thought that Tropidelic's notes may not be in harmony, but the more I wear it I get used to this solar flower note which is part of its peculiar mature character and once the "dusty" "camphor" smell fades, I can enjoy this solar scent surrounded by the freshness of the rainforest. It is sophisticated imo and has become my mom's signature, but it's not "old smelling" or sharp, it is youthful. It really reminds us of our village by the sea in southern Greece. The evening breeze is drenched in the white "nightflower" and the osmanthus. The opening is addicting due to the bubblegum-like passion flower and I wish it remained strong throughout, but I don't complain anymore because the ylang ylang smells gorgeous too. The lasting power of Tropidelic isn't the best in the mist, but it's better in the perfume. The lotion has more of the camphor dusty green scent rather than the bubblegum-like passion flower, so I gave it to my mom and she was ecstatic haha. Whenever she visits me I test a bunch of BBW scents on her and she chooses the best one. She was also impressed with Meet me in Miami, but Tropidelic stole her heart.

For some reason this smells like one in a million that they came out with in 2019 but if it was turned a bit tropical so if you were a fan of one in a million then you will like this, which was a white floral fragrance that I love but the nozzle of mine broke :( and the scent was truly one in a million like the name, also call me crazy but this reminds me a bit of fracas by robert piguet theire not dupes at all but they have similarities just tropidelic smells tropical overall this is not your typical boring regular fruity fragrance it's sooo much more than that it's slightly fresh to. So basically this is a white floral tuberose like fragrance but with a tropical twist

Tropidelic: Intensely beautiful. I have shapeshifted into a female tiger in heat. I am queen of the rainforest and and I prowl among tufts of tiger lily flowers where I shapeshift back into an elegant woman adorned in a gown of tiger and leopard skins and a crown of peacock feathers. That is how this fragrance makes me feel. I bought a body cream, shampoo, and conditioner blindly when BBW had $5.95 sale and regret not purchasing the entire line.

I’m surprised how much I love this bath and body works perfume. I’m debating getting a full bottle! Usually I’ll like it but they always can be a bit too sweet or juvenile, but this stuff is good! I have to say, if b&bw comes out with more stuff like this, I’ll be a loyal customer. Very very beautiful tropical floral fragrance, and not the typical tropical florals you find in most summery fragrances.

This smells almost exactly like Flowerbomb Tiger Lily, so if you liked that, then you'll love this! It's way cheaper too! It smells like a warm flower in the jungle/rainforest to me, but not a mature floral at all. Not the best performance, but for the price, it's a great perfume!

This scent hasn't been done before and is rather woody if you ask me but still keeps that tropical vibe somehow, it's definitely a mature scent and won't be able to be pulled off easily. Lucky for me I got so many compliments and I'm in love with it a stocked up on the EDP.

This was an insta love for me and normally I don't buy perfume from bath and body but today I did. Didn't even think twice so sexy and juicy ♡

That’s the eau de toilette version of Coco Paradise... it’s fresh & brighter no saltiness , but the same vibes... which I like to even more

JPG Divine knock off but better

This smells very similar to the original J’adore Dior eau de parfum, to the point where I recommend layering this body lotion with j’adore for impact if you already own a bottle. You probably don’t need both of these in EDP. Lots of ozonic aquatic middle notes under a heavy hit of white floral (like gardenia, tuberose, jasmine and ylang ylang) on the top. The dry down mellows into something kind of freshie which diverges from the muskiness of j’adore. This will be a great warm weather scent for me, it sort of manages to be classic and appealing with enough unpredictability that it doesn’t skew into old lady territory.

Is anyone getting a cedar base to this? I really like the passionfruit opening but the base note is lingering like a cedar-santal on my skin and I'm not so sure about it. Lasting way longer than other BBW scents and I'm referring to the body spray, not even the perfume. Maybe not a blind buy!

Good projection and good lasting power, but it really smells like a fruity floral version of Coco Paradise. There is no coconut note, but even my friend asked me if I was wearing Meet Me in Miami or Coco Paradise

Based on the description, I was expecting to really enjoy this so I decided to blind buy the body spray/fragrance mist in the recent sale. I love the way this opens--tropical white florals and ylang-ylang. Sadly, as it develops I get a lot of synthetic woods and musk, along with fig. This becomes very woody and develops into something very similar to Santal 33 (a fragrance I'm not a fan of). I loved the opening but didn't like what this evolved into, so it's a pass for me, although I probably wouldn't mind it on someone else. As far as performance, this lasts a long time on clothing.

It’s the passionflower, it’s overpowering for me, and nothing like the coco paradise. Looking at other fragrances with that note, I realize this is just not in my scent profile of likes.

This review is for the fine fragrance mist version of this scent. I’m not typically a floral gal so I’m going to describe the vibe rather than the notes I smell. This smells like you’re walking through a tropical garden right after it has rained. It’s warm, dewy, humid and surprisingly refreshing. The air is warm and humid and has that after rain smell mixed with the flowers but the cold wet leaves of the plants brush up against your skin as you’re walking through them. It’s definitely giving tropical because of the ylang ylang but it’s still super fresh. This scent is truly unique because as a hater or florals it’s rare for me to be this impressed. Longevity of the mist is decent, about 2-3 hours after which it becomes barely noticeable. I imagine the perfume is stronger but I only own the mist as of now. Overall it’s not your typical vacation scent. It’s different and beautiful!

Based on what B&BW scents with the word "tropical" in the name usually smell like I was sure this was going to be the usual coconut-heavy fruity scent, but I sniffed it in store today and was surprised that it was an almost unisex earthy floral that reminded me of the rainy side of Oahu. I liked it upon first sniff but after a few seconds it started to take on a sweat-like quality that ruined it for me. I will say it isn't like anything I have ever smelled from B&BW before. I don't think I could pull it off but more power to you if you can!

I did not expect to like this since tropical scents aren't my thing, and I hated Coco Paradise. But something about Tropidelic keeps me coming back. I think it's the passion flower. Passionflower and passion fruit notes are so distinct and can be off-putting to me sometimes. But other times I really enjoy the creamy tropical fruit quality of those notes. (Encanto Charms has a similar creamy passionfruit quality). Tropidelic isn't my favorite scent and I don't see myself needing backups, but I'll enjoy this mini mist for now.

My goodness this is divine. I truly adore this and wish B&BW didn’t cycle through scents like underwear so this could’ve stuck around longer. This is picturesque of an island getaway poolside at a bar with the bar hand chopping up coconut to put in margaritas. I get tart green bananas as well. The green banana adds a starch element to the overall vibe, making this quite a unique experience. Very well done for what it is and I will keep eyes peeled in case B&BW brings this back occasionally.

a fresh fruity breeze and kinda herbal tea vibes ... I like it a lot actually, I blind bought the body mist first, just getting curious of the name Tropidelic... It is a very suitable name for the scent btw. Then ı encountered a discount of buy 2 for 1 and I also have the perfume now :))) Perfume is a bit more intense and fresher than the body mist. I think Tropidelic is a beautiful scent, it has a style and it isi unique. Thank you for this creation BBW!
