Twisted Peppermint

Pretty, festive Minty, sweet, fresh, fun, cheerful, playful, wintery, balsamic, cool, creamy, bright, frosty, yummy, nostalgic Such a fun and sweet fragrance! It’s absolutely perfect for the festive holiday season, but also nice for winter! The name Twisted Peppermint is perfectly accurate considering its overall sweet candy cane scent! I do notice a soft, pretty, and creamy vanilla scent as well as just a whisper of fresh balsam too! The notes all combine together to create the perfect festive and wintertime treat! I love to pair this with vanilla fragrances. I especially love B&BW Vanilla Bean Noel, which creates a lovely sweet and creamy peppermint vanilla frosting scent. VS Bare Vanilla Frosted is another perfect scent to pair the lotion with. I also really love using the Twisted Peppermint body lotion with the original Billie Eilish. It pairs well with the vanilla, and it brings out the soft mint scent that I’ve always picked up in the Billie Eilish fragrance for some reason. It’s a surprisingly nice combination. Twisted Peppermint unfortunately isn’t something that I reach for too often. At least for me it feels best suited for the holiday season, so I don’t consider it to be very versatile. I do occasionally also wear it during the wintertime in general (usually as a lotion with a vanilla fragrance) because it gives such a pretty, frosty, and minty scent that works well with the cold weather. It’s also interesting to get that cooling/tingling sensation whenever I apply the lotion. I do get great performance with Twisted Peppermint, especially when I use the body care products along with the mist. I get really good longevity with it, it lasts the majority of the day on me before becoming just a skin scent. The projection is really nice too, it radiates out a few feet from me. As an extra note - I think this scent has a kind of calming effect which is really nice, especially since I struggle with severe anxiety. Maybe I should consider using this as an aromatherapy treatment sometimes.

The opening is more refreshingly minty, and the dry down is a more minty vanilla buttercream sprinkled with sugar dusted balsam. Overall, it’s a lovely candy cane scent! The only thing that I have in my collection that this is even remotely similar to is VS Bare Vanilla Frosted, which is a super pretty minty vanilla that I love wear in the winter. I do love pairing the Twisted Peppermint body care with Bare Vanilla Frosted. Finally!!! I have been waiting forever for this to be put in the database. It's soooo good! It's really one of the few BBW scents I actually like. I really hate mint, like HATE IT pretty much in anything (except toothpaste), but this scent is awesome. It reminds me of those fluffy butter mints that look like little pillows. It's sweet and creamy and vanilla-y and a tad powdery. The best mint scent ever. It does not smell herbal like actual mint (the plant). It smells like an artificially flavored mint and vanilla candy, and I can't get enough when the weather gets cold. I have this in a body spray (I don't think it comes in EDP or EDT) and I have to spray a million times because it doesn't last, but it's pretty inexpensive so whatever. EDIT: Well well 2020, thanks for everything lol.... so at least I have discovered the Twisted Peppermint hand sanitizer! OMG it smells amazing and the scent lasts even longer than the body spray. I need like 5 gallons of this stuff. It's that good. I also bought the shower gel and it did not disappoint. Bonus- the shower gel does NOT make me feel cold! (You know how minty soaps make you feel cold??? I hate that!) So I can use this in the dead of winter. It is snowing out and I'm freezing but I'm still loving this shower gel. Just layered it with the body spray. Yum! Wish they had an EDP of this.

This stupid little body spray makes me so darn happy. I've been without for about 10 years (I'm sure I could use a forwarding service but I can't justify paying all those fees just for a body spray!) but Next UK now carries B&BW!!! Trekked all the way into the city even whilst knowing foot traffic would be sky-high due to Christmas shoppers, juuuust to buy a bottle of this lol. It's not even anything revolutionary but I just LOVE IT. Twisted Peppermint is vanilla and mint, but laced with a sugary sweetness that stops it from feeling "cold", herbaceous or aromatic. It's actually quite gourmand. VERY much like eating a peppermint candy. 10/10 ETA: unfortunately the other reviews are correct, the longevity is abysmal. About 30-60 minutes on skin, a couple of hours on clothes. It won't stop me from buying again bc I adore the scent but... yeah. It's bad.

If you think that someone wanting to smell like a candy cane during the Holidays is too "on the nose," then I'm totally guilty of being too on the nose. lol. I don't know what else to say except that this smells like a delicious candy cane. If that interests you, then you'll love this. I certainly love it. It's actually a strong fragrance too-- every time I have worn it out in public, someone always says something to the effect of "someone smells like candy!" The incorporation of the mint is SO refreshing, too. It definitely gives you a bit of a chill after you apply it. Last year for Christmas, I had covid, and this was the only fragrance that I could smell, and it even helped to open up my sinuses a little bit. It's seriously a great fragrance for when you're under the weather, too.

You will smell like a pine box filled with peppermints, and I really love that. On me, this comes across as sweet and fresh while lasting practically forever on my skin and hair. I have clothes in a drawer that I spray over a month ago and there's still a faintly peppermint scent. For a body spray, I'm impressed. I also got the 2018 version that had "vanilla buttercream icing" listed as one of the component scents, so that one was especially candylike to me. The 2019 version has a lot more pine tree in it, but it's still a good smell. Oddly, I've worn this to work a few times and my boss still thinks it smells like cotton-candy. Just be warned: You will smell like pine trees and peppermints until the next time you shower and do laundry.

Wheww. A "Yummy" Breezy Breath of Fresh Air this is. Upon first spray I get a creamy bowl of Mint Chip Ice Cream and Peppermint Patties. When it dries down on my skin I get a hint of sugary cotton candy. It has a cool, tingling effect just like after eating a peppermint swirl or sucking on a candy cane, my skin feels as if it can breathe better seriously. This is gourmand “yummy" bowl of Mint Chip Ice Cream with York peppermint patties and a double chocolate chip cookie with choppedcandy canes. This scent can be worn all year round. Being a "Gourmand Girl" I'm in Love but that love doesn't last long it fades just as soon as I fall.. Like most good things it don't last long.

Twisted peppermint is as described, a well-done replication of peppermint candy canes in the winter holidays. Adding mint was a nice addition with it's chilling effect when using the lotion & cream versions of it, though I never really liked the balsam notes in it, thank goodness that note is not usually very apparent on the skin. There's nothing you can go wrong with by using this, per say really. It's non-offensive, not a overtly complicated scent & for casual or every day usage, I think it's really nice. It doesn't overstay it's welcome nor does it fade fast either, I find both the lotion & the spray last at least for a couple hours which is rare with B&BW.

I'm just obsessed!! There's something about Bath and Body Works' mint-centred fragrances (talking very much also about Eucalyptus Spearmint) that are just so addictive, it makes me regret that I live in the UK. I've got the body cream and mist for this scent, and when both used simultaneously I find it not only lasts but seems to chill me out. Twisted Peppermint is sweet and minty, just as it should be - and I can for sure pick up on the sugar/vanilla gourmand notes as well. Something to wear both around the house and outside on colder days. Based on what I've smelled so far it's definitely my favourite from BBW, and I'll have to go and buy extras!

ChypreAnn, I second your impression of Doublemint gum, powdery foil/paper and all. Twisted Peppermint surpasses any Demeter scent I have ever sampled claiming to be this or that, with its near-perfect approximation of a flat stick of spearmint chewing gum. There is a slightly bitter powdery paper element in addition to the sweet minty gum itself. If you want a mint gum perfume, look no further. I prefer it layered with Vanilla Bean Noel. A fun and cute novelty scent which is quirky but not too weird to be wearable. The travel size is one third the price of a Demeter scent, and the longevity is better. Recommended.

I've owned this for awhile but rarely use it strictly because the sillage sucks. But I kept smelling a co-worker that smelled like heaven. Like spun sugar and vanilla, cotton candy and brown sugar. It almost smelled as if she had been eating fruit with sweet marshmallowy fruit dip. Finally asked her what it was and she said twisted peppermint. I had to dust off my bottle and start using again. This stuff is so good. I have the hand cream and it seems to have a stronger mint smell, it smells like those pastel colored mints they serve at weddings, minty and buttery.

i'm very deeply obsessed with this scent - i currently own the hand soap variety but cannot wait to also get the body spray. i think perhaps a little misrepresented in its marketing; if you're looking for a super fresh mint, this is certainly not that, the vanilla is very forward along with the mint, making for a much sweeter experience, like peppermint candies. you'll hear no complaints from me though, as i think the vanilla mint pairing is a criminally underrated one, and i cant wait to smell exactly like this through my entire winter.

his fragrance is a delightful minty gourmand. A creamy, sweet, chocolatey mist similar to that of an Andes mint. If you're not a fan of strong minty fragrances, this perfume may not be your cup of tea. I find this to be a very therapeutic fragrance, without the overpowering peppermint scent associated with essential oils. Instead, it delivers a refreshing, cooling sensation on the skin. Unfortunately, its staying power is rather disappointing, as I've noticed it only stays on my skin for about 1-2 hours at most.

Who doesn't remember this holiday classic? It's sweet, minty, and musky. I love it straight from the bottle, an unabashed 'twisted' peppermint. I think the twisted part of this fragrance is not patchouli, but cannabis! I get a hint of fresh cannabis underneath the fresh and sweet notes. It turns way too sickly sweet on my skin, but I love it on anyone who wears it. The candle, room spray, plug in refills and hand sanitizer are the products I buy in this fragrance.

This has been my main/go-to perfume as of recently! I really love peppermint (and just mint in general) and this did not disappoint me! It’s also pretty nostalgic, it reminds me of Christmas when I was little. The only thing I do need to mention is that the mint smell kinda starts to fade into a sugar or cranberry-ish smell when I smell it for longer than like 2 seconds which is super odd but I don’t really mind it. It’s still good!

This is a B&BW classic! Peppermint, but with vanilla buttercream and a little balsam touch. It smells sweet and not too "essential-oil-y" (special enough to warrant this over something else) but not like a dessert. It lifts my spirits when I have a cold (which I currently do) and I imagine it will be refreshing in the hot summer too--the mist and lotion are both cooling, to respond to the previous reviewer who mentioned "burning."

One of my very favorites from BBW. This peppermint delight is one that has not been altered too much over the years. I purchased this in the body wash. It is lovely,a real eye opener,and very cooling to the skin. The scent itself doesn't last long but is still very enjoyable. I get the peppermint and sugar with small doses of balsam and musk. This scent is always a winner in my opinion even if it doesn't last long.

Wow I love this! Its truly like a peppermint chocolate patty! It starts of with a total peppermint blast! Spicy, cooling and super sweet! The mid notes come in with a true candy/sugar blast. Its tangy, sweet and minty! After the dry down it mellows out to a more subtle creamier mint which is definitely that vanilla at play. Overall its a fun, safe and sugary fragrance! If you love mint you'll absolutely adore it!

The initial blast of peppermint upon first spraying this is a bit suffocating to me but the minty coolness reminds me of Christmas candies which is not a bad thing. The coolness quickly fades and as it settles unto my skin, the icy mint softens into a cotton candy scent with a touch of vanilla. With Christmas just around the corner, I will be reaching for this sweet delight often. I just wish it lasted longer.
