Vanilla Buttercream

A VERY buttery & creamy everyday scent. The vanilla helps sweeten the overall aroma, the buttercream is it's heart, and the powdered sugar helps the fragrance blend with the chemistry of your skin oil, likely due to the Alcohol Denat. The scent lasts on me for 3 days when spraying it on all my pulse points (bear in mind I spend most of my time indoors), without layering. Moderate sillage, 2-3 feet at most. I've never experienced snow, but if I did, this is the scent I'd want after a long day of snow shoveling. Alluring, buttery, and comforting. This is such a good vanilla buttercream. It is sweet, vanilla heaven. A gourmand dream. I absolutely love this one. It is buttery and rich with sugary frosting. It isn't sickeningly sweet (just know sickeningly sweet to me does not exist- I am a sickeningly sweet fiend. You cannot give me a fragrance that is too sweet or at least, I haven't found one yet.) The longevity is decent for a FFM, and the sillage is average as well. I wish they had this in a full size. Right now, I just have two mini ones. This is a great heading to bed fragrance as well. It's very comforting. You can fall asleep to frosting and wake up and apply something new with no issues. This was a great blind buy.

not sure why this is in the database as a floral, this is a true, bath and body works gourmand. it has that thick sweetness that something like pumpkin pecan waffles has. on first sniff, i thought this felt like a lighter, less spicy version of it. as for the "pink starburst" quality, i didn't smell that before reading the review but i can't un-smell it now lmao but i do agree that in the opening there is an almost fruity note to this fragrance that isn't listed, but it settles to a warm, very sweet vanilla scent. it actually projects pretty decently and has moderate longevity, but i go nose-blind to this so quickly when i'm actually wearing it.

when i first spray this, it’s reminiscent of raspberry jam donut with the powdered sugar note giving it a warm bakery feel, but not as intense (rjd made me sneeze a lot). drying down it starts to feel more cakey- at first it felt more dry, now it’s gaining some depth with buttery vanilla underneath sweet whipped frosting. i really like this! basically a sugary, buttery, whipped vanilla frosting that sparkles with cake batter. now that it’s sat a while, it smells mostly like cake batter to me! 🧁

i really like this and i think it would be great for layering. the reviews on the B&BW website were all bad and after smelling it i can see what they meant, it doesn’t smell at first like what you’d imagine but if you like gourmand it will definitely grow on you. i wish it existed as a perfume oil though! it lasts longer than other mists by bath and body works

I heard this was a complete dupe of Christmas Cookies, a scent I had been curious about but it didn't come back this year. So, I went ahead and bought this instead. I'm pleased with my purchase; it smells similar to gingerbread cookies to me- rather than a birthday cake. I just wish it wasn't exclusively travel-sized.

I’m in love. I wish they have a bigger size of the spray or a more concentrated version. It doesn’t last very long, at best maybe an hour or so, but while it’s working the sillage is decent. I love to wear this with Jousset accident a la vanille. It amps up the vanilla even more. I’ll have to stock up.

A phenomenal vanilla for layering! On its own I’m not a big fan of the smell, it has a very synthetic vanilla fragrance to it. But layering this with fragrances with a dominant vanilla note is really good! It can really enhance that vanilla smell!

Soft, sweet, warm, and comforting. Smells slightly of graham crackers. There is also a powdery musk that reminds me of my cat’s fur. So glad I found this in store after searching for years :)

Caramel butter pop corn 😍😍😍

i bought one of those little half bottles of this like..... a year ago and have been working my way through it ever since. it's nice at first (almost way too sweet, but who's shocked?) and i've gotten compliments on it, but the dry down is downright HORRID. it smells like cheese and is just terrible. it's grown on me over time and the scent isn't too noticeable when layered, but . gosh.......

I have plenty of other such vanilla gourmand scents, and this is by far one of the worst. it is weak, a blast of alcohol, really quite gross and doesn't really perform. SDJ 71 etc get this gourmand thing sooooo right I dont know how BBW always stumbles when it comes to this stuff. I mean come on shouldn't have bought this. gross

Honestly was excited when reading the notes online and bought it, when it arrived i sprayed a few sprays and thought it smelled good then like a few seconds after it dries up it starts like old musty butter popcorn. Very disappointed

i guess it smells alright, like sweet birthday cake! however the dried down smell is AWFUL

ew ew ew EW. i have a little lotion i got as a freebie for my birthday and this smell is absolutely AWFUL. i've used it like twice and never again 😭😭. it smells like what its supposed to smell like when you open the bottle and when you put it on for the first couple seconds. but once it stays on your skin for a bit, it starts smelling like burnt popcorn and i absolutely could not stand it. its an extremely nausiating scent and regardless if you like gourmand scents (i also do to an extent), this is DEFINETLY not one of the good gourmands.

This is the most disappointing purchase I’ve ever made, I thought it was going to be a nice vanilla buttercream cream very sweet and delicious but no all I smell is butter just buttery and greasy! I’m glad this is a mini not a full size.

This is fragrance is terrible; it smells like warm smoke layered heavily over a hint of powdered buttercream. Ugh.

I got this body mist as a birthday gift from a friend, and it truly lives up to its name! I’ve always loved fragrances and products that have a birthday or cake theme, and this one smells exactly like a vanilla birthday cake with lots of sugary frosting. The scent is sweet, warm, and festive, like a hug wrapped in vanilla and sprinkles. For a body mist, it lasts surprisingly well (though don’t expect perfume-level longevity). It’s amazing on its own, but also perfect for layering with other sweet fragrances or perfumes to amplify that cozy gourmand vibe. If you’re looking for an affordable, strong, and happy gourmand scent this is it. Absolutely worth it.

i actuallly quite like the spray, but the lotion is disgusting.i bought it as a gift for someone because i liked the spray and now im not even sure if i should gift it. the lotion for me as an intense chemical, plastic, rotten butter scent. they need to really rework it
