Vanilla Suede

I adore this. Let me start off by saying I hate laundry/linen type scents but I absolutely love this one. It's so cozy and clean smelling. You can definitely smell the linen but its not headache inducing or screechy the brushed seude gives it that coziness and warmth in the background. It also layers really well with other fragrances. The dry down is the best part the linen scent fades a bit and you get more of the brushed suede and the tinest hint of vanilla which turns into a cozy, warm, skin scent wrapped in your favorite sweater 😍 If you're looking for a true clean girl scent this is it, and for a body spray this lasts for a long time! I bought 4 sets at the SAS sale I can never get tired of this scent!

At first, this gave off a very grape/cough medicine smell to me. After letting it sit for a while, the smell of linen came through, and it turned into such a clean laundry scent. I have come to adore this fragrance and spray my sheets with it before bed every night.

Such a clean scent! This is what you wear when you want to smell like fresh linens and cotton. It’s so soft and clean! There’s really no vanilla here but it smelled really good layered with some woody vanilla perfumes I have.

Absolutely gorgeous, sexy, soft laundry. Perfect for the girls (and guys!! This scent is super unisex!) who love to smell like soft vanilla without the overwhelming gourmand effect.

First of all... The name of this fragrance is extremely misleading. It does not smell like vanilla or suede. However, It has a beautiful and cozy clean scent that I absolutely love. This is very much a clean linen fresh out of the shower fragrance. On the dry down (and I mean the extreme dry down) after an hour or so, it becomes an ever so slightly sweet skin scent. I Highly recommend this fragrance If you like warm and cozy clean scents.... But definitely don't buy it if you You're expecting vanilla or suede

I blind bought this spray and lotion during one of their big sales. I thought, based on the name, that it would have a little bit of a vanilla scent. It doesn't but that's ok. Luckily, I've been drawn to BBW more non-gourmand, non-sweet offerings and this is one. It's a great scent to use right out of the shower to continue the clean and fresh scent I'm in the mood for. Don't buy this b/c of the vanilla note or you will be very disappointed. I think this one even runs along the lines of a unisex scent.

I actually really like this scent, very nice work scent. It smells like a suede dryer sheet, with just a hint of vanilla. I love pairing this with Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. Its relatively strong too (for a laundry scent). It's a little cozier than the average laundry scents as well.

I have the room spray of this and I love it. It's very strong upon the first spray but you get a really nice clear whiff of fresh laundry afterward.

Laundry detergent, which I expected, as I had already smelled the actual laundry detergent/scent booster, single-wick candle and room spray in-store prior to ordering this online-exclusive body care form of the fragrance [edit 05/24/2025: This should be in stores soon!]. As others have said, there really isn't any vanilla in this; if B&BW didn't already use the names "Sun-drenched Linen" and "Laundry Day" for other scents, they could have used it for this one. I have to, at this point, vent about whoever added every vanilla scent they know about to the "This fragrance reminds me of..." section above. Why would you do that? I mean, tell me you've never smelled this scent without telling me. This smells NOTHING like Vanilla Romance, Warm Vanilla Sugar, Wicked Vanilla Woods, Vanilla Skin, Mod Vanilla...I mean, those scents don't even smell like each other! Leave suggesting similar fragrances to people who have actually worn a fragrance and have reasonable comparisons to make. To those who rush to a new fragrance's page and start suggesting tons of scents as being similar (without having ever even smelled it!) simply based on a couple of common scent notes, *please* stop doing that! That is so bizarre. I literally can't fathom what would inspire a person to do that. The "reminds me of" feature becomes useless and serves no benefit when it gets filled up with so many false comparisons. It misleads people who are curious about trying a scent; if someone blind-buys this thinking it's going to be similar to Vanilla 28, they're going to be very disappointed. So, what have you achieved? Like, is that your goal? If so, please find healthier hobbies. To finish off my actual review, this scent is SUPER STRONG and long-lasting, and it makes you smell like straight-up freshly washed laundry. The body cream is so beast mode that topping it with the mist can be overkill! I know I will only very infrequently actually be in the mood for this as a personal fragrance, but I still impulse bought it because I like the room spray so much, lol. In reality, this will probably best function as a linen spray for me, unless, on some rare occasion, I want to smell like a basket of laundry straight from the dryer.

super misleading name lmao, no vanilla or suede, it honestly just smells like clean laundry. which is great if you want to smell like clean laundry! but if you wanted vanilla or suede, you will not find it here. (coming from white barn, which primarily makes room/candle/laundry scents, this makes sense)

This smells like the White Diamond Perfume Powder that I have. Very clean and airy. Very long lasting. If White Diamond created a fabric softener, this is what it would smell like. I love this, I am fighting the urge to buy 10. Lol

Disappointed This smells like a linen fragrance, vanilla shouldn’t even be in the name. It smells more like linen and suede, with a clean laundry scent that leans a little masculine. If I had smelled this in store first, I never would have bought it. I don’t find it appealing at all. It also gives me a terrible headache. I honestly cannot stand it. I ended up using the body mist as room spray and the body wash as hand soap just to get rid of it. 2/10 Sillage 3/10 Longevity 3/10

Bought this last year at SAS and fell in love with it all over again this year. I agree with the other reviews- the name is misleading. But this is a literal laundry scent. It smells like fabric softener and dryer sheets and I really like it. I do kind of wish it was giving more vanilla laundry.. but it’s different from most of my body mists and perfume and it layers nicely with so many different scent profiles. This is also a beast of a fragrance mist. I can smell it on my blankets for days after wearing this. It clings to clothes and lasts hours on my skin. (I do layer it with the matching cream though) I wasn’t really into this when I first got it because it wasn’t what I was expecting, but I’ve definitely grown to love and appreciate it. I also agree with the review that made a comment about the reminds me of section. I feel like so many people misuse it by adding fragrances that they THINK something is going to smell like. I don’t agree with doing that. I think it should only be used once you smell something and have enough knowledge to compare it to other fragrances. this is now a discontinued scent that people may have fallen in love with and might be looking for something comparable to fill the void in their collection and just adding random things based off of pure assumption only adds confusion.

This smells like a repackage of their 24 Karat home fragrance scent from 2018, and it reminds me of some kind of old school soap...Camay maybe? Definitely smells like laundry something. Not the standard Tide/detergent, but like a luxury laundry powder. The vanilla is virtually nonexistent

I absolutely am obsessed with this scent I spray it on my clothes in my hair on my body and ALWAYS get compliments! It’s my new favorite scent!

The name Vanilla Suede is super misleading. I get no vanilla out of this. Only the linen note. It smells like a fresh cotton scent.

So sad this was discontinued. It smells almost identical to Lattafa Pure Musk and dryer sheets.

The epitome of clean fabric. It has a clean laundry smell. A healthy sweetness to it.

There are “your skin but better” scents. This is a your laundry but better scent.

Smells like fresh laundry. I don’t smell vanilla. Very cotton scented.
