Viva Vanilla

i Cannot in good faith agree that this smells bad this is like. one of the few bath and body works vanilla smells that ISNT gross or weird or custardy-tangy or plasticky or some other variant of "offensive to the nose" for me..... i feel really bad for everyone whos getting all these pungent gross experiences with it since personally this smell is like. so intoxicating. it doesnt have some weird high pitched accent that cuts through the smell in some awful way like a ton of others do, it doesnt feel fruity to me (but if plum doesnt smell stupidly fruity and tangy then boy i need plum perfumes) but instead is this very intense WARM and sugary smell. and i do mean sugary! like if you took a bag of id say a mix of white granulated and brown sugar and left it in 110f degree weather somewhere like nicely humid and then opened it up and baked it all or just heated it in a pot. sorry if that sounds gross in anyway but its NOT a humid smell i think i dont get anything aquatic or musky but it just is warm in the "clingy balmy humidty" way and it really charms me.....☀️ i also described this as being a deep smell. sorry for not knowing like fragrance terminology and lingo really well so id rather not use words i dont fully understand BUT. the smell is profound and i had said i want to like dive into it you know... it is a very warm inviting and like darkly sweet scent. and not dark as in it has something airy or ominous about it no no but dark as in like a dimmed room and its a very brown golden black smell its very intimate. i like it! too soon to say but i think this leaves a smell trail behind me a little bit since i was told that this spray could be smelled from upstairs in my house AFTER having been downstairs for a bit? and i just sniffed my pajamas that i spritzed with this last night and its faintly barely there. its much softer and delicately and not cloyingly sweet but still definitely sweet. no weird fruityness or floralness that i dont love with vanilla its just soft and a little warm still. def more a nighttime smell if not just fall/winter but maybe u could layer other stuff over it in spring and summer so as to keep using it! possibly something on the more soft/powdery side first though before doing anything drastic like putting a straight green floral over it. i think even fruity stuff can be paired with this but youd have to make sure you give it a suitable middleman. very excited to make myself smell nauseatingly sweet and disgustingly so by using this on myself rather than the other body sprays ive been using over this headache inducing vanilla cashmere eos lotion that dries down much more tolerably. i definitely like viva vanillas drydown more than that lotions but i think that THIS is gonna be so nice to smell together on myself :-) plus my favorite perfume over it ^_^ i shouldve bought more but there was literally only one of these in the store yesterday lol. i think the person i love the most in the world smells like this smell and it would explain why i cant find anything negative to say genuinely. i really love this smell and feel so comforted and charmed by it. its really nice and it sucks that it smells so bad for others. i hope it can start smelling better for them soon and i hope i can always buy more :')

Okay, I need to scream this from the rooftops- Viva Vanilla is FANTASTIC. Like, holy shit, where has this scent been all my life?! It is so sexy, so warm, so rich... I’m genuinely obsessed. This isn’t your basic soft bakery vanilla- this is deep, bold, confident vanilla. Like a walk-into-the-room-and-turn-heads kind of vanilla. It’s sweet, yes, but there’s this sultry depth to it that just lingers. It almost has this amber-y or musky edge underneath that gives it that seductive, nighttime vibe, and I’m here for every second of it. You spray it once and you’re like, “Ohhh. Yeah. That’s it.” And the longevity?? INSANE. This baby lasts all day and then some. I still catch whiffs of it hours later and it just keeps getting better as it settles into your skin. Honestly, it smells expensive. Like niche-perfume-level sexy but with that Bath & Body Works price tag. I’ve gotten compliments left and right wearing this. It's warm, cozy, and intimate while still being bold and powerful. It’s giving main character energy. I could wear it every day and never get tired of it. RUN to get it.

i almost skipped out on this one because the reviews for it seemed pretty polarizing, but i absolutely love it! people were comparing it to ballet nights, which was fine, but i didn't enjoy how dominant the plum in that was so seeing plum in viva vanilla kind of put me off. however, i recently got to smell it in-store and immediately wanted it, no hesitation. the plum is there but it's very indistinct and just kind of contributes to the depth of the fragrance, rather than smelling like a plum fragrance. this is a deep, very smoky and peppery vanilla so it's perfect if you want a non-gourmand vanilla. it's not quite as much of a powerhouse as some of the others from the everyday luxuries collection, but it still lasts well on me and especially on my clothes.

A comfy, everyday-suitable body mist, I quite enjoy spraying it it especially during after school or when I want to feel cozy after a shower. During the first usage of this body mist, it vaguely reminded me of Eilish No. 1. However, compared to the Billie perfume, this is more towards a woody note. I don't really mind the alcohol smell during initial application, but when you let it sit for a while that's when you really feel the sophisticated gourmand smell of this body mist, even when some may not prefer it. I think is is one of the best body mists that I've bought in BBW so far, and right now the bottle's almost over, probably 20% of juice is still left. But nevertheless, it's a comfortable and pleasant scent to wear most of the time.

The first one that I bought had the strength of an EDT perfume which I love and the second one I bought several weeks later was watered down with a huge blast of alcohol! I hope this is not a bait and switch tactic Bath and Body Works is using to entice people to buy new releases and then later diluting the quality because I will not be buying this again if that's the case. Unfortunately, with this being an online exclusive and no longer available in stores, you don't know the quality until you get it in the mail. Either way, it's a quality control issue that BBW needs to correct in order product consistency.

Oh do I adore this body mist. You may need to spray quite a bit, or reapply throughout the day, to make it last for a moderate time. Its very vanilla-y but also super amber two scents which I love quite a bit! I’ve found myself repurchasing because I just couldnt get enough, everyone always assumes its some expensive perfume when I wear it but its really an affordable b&b spray haha MUCH BETTER THAN VANILLA 28 (I hate it) which I find people comparing, this is really an actual amber smell rather than being overpowered by patchouli. I loved this in winter cant wait to bring it back here and there for fall

my review is for the perfume travel spray not the body mist. i really like this! i like vanilla vice but i cant stand the snif bottles and think $65 for a 1oz from a brand that markets themselves as affordable is silly. this opens exactly like mod vanilla but then goes in the route that vanilla vice takes. starts fruity and sweet and then turns into a warm smokey vanilla. i think its super cozy and the lasting power was great! if you are a fan of by the fireplace or vanilla skin this will appeal to you. if they release a larger size for the perfume i would definitely pick it up

I didn't like this one at first. I thought the smell sat weird on my skin but after wearing it a few times I actually grew to love it. I think it's a very beautiful vanilla scent. It's very ambery and feels mature. I've had it for a short amount of time and I'm already halfway through the bottle!For a bath and bodyworks spray this is amazing. It lasts pretty long especially if you layer with lotion. I typically layer with the eos vanilla. Give it a chance, you might like it! Def try to get it on sale!

gotta say that this is a pretty damn good vanilla body spray. i find that warm vanilla sugar falls sorta flat in the depth department and that this brings some umf for a vanilla. it's suuuuper warm and ambery but very gourmand. weirdly enough the longevity of this is SUPER impressive for a BBW body mist. I can smell this on me for hours afterwards, and it dries down and sits as a nice warm vanilla. Idk, maybe it's just my body chemistry but i love getting whiffs of this throughout the day.

Waffles with Ice-Cream & Maple Syrup... My initial impression was vanilla + amberwood. But when it started to dry down the vanilla became a lot more creamy, and the amberwood receded. Also a maple syrup-y sweetness comes out, giving me a waffles with ice-cream and maple syrup that eventually transforms into brown sugar. This would layer well with vanilla gourmandes, vanille ouds and other woods. It does lean a bit to warm weather, but could likely be worn year round. Love it. Enjoy!

the initial spray is just straight alcohol, but that’s nothing new. but once it has fully dried down, this is one of the best vanillas i’ve ever smelled. i’m more into the gourmand vanillas but this is definitely the exception. the amber addes depth and the plum adds sweetness. i will say the dry down on me sort of smells like cotton?? i would consider this more of a sophisticated vanilla but smells pretty sweet on me, also layering this with other sweet scents makes it 10x better!

Already one of my all time favorite scents, I love wearing it for any occasion but it’s especially lovely after a long everything shower, putting on comfy pajamas, and getting in bed. Absolutely a dupe for Snif’s Vanilla Vice, they smell identical to my nose, the longevity and projection are both there. It’s simultaneously very cozy and very sexy, it’s unlike any other vanilla I’ve tried. Not at all like Eilish no. 1 or Kayali 28 to me.

Kinda shocked by all the negative reviews below. Plum is a death note for me, but I barely smell it in here. I really have to put my nose up to my skin to get anything fruity from this, but it's there in the background. To me, this is a very warm and ambery vanilla and I love it! It reminds me a lot of cheirosa 40, except the plum in that goes rancid on my skin. I really like this and I wish they'd do a full range of body care in it.

This is a lovely vanilla I would use everyday. The dry down is like a creamy vanilla ice cream and from the bottle it smells like an amber sweet whipped vanilla. Love this mist but the most horrible part of it is the longevity and it doesn’t even last unless I don’t move. On my body though it smells awesome and is creamy but fades within like 5 minutes. I am interested in trying the edp version of this scent though!!! <3

This is a shockingly good perfume. Out of all the vanilla scents, I find a lot of the B&B perfumes really similar, but by far the best is Viva. There is a slight almost spice from the amber which really ascends the vanilla, which in my opinion is an overabundant fragrance. Until I find one better, this is probably the best vanilla centred perfume, and it just helps that it is so affordable.

Smells like a good body mist for autumn and winter. Smells a bit like alcohol in the first minute or two but after it’s dry down it smells SO GOOD! I feel like there’s a bit of musk to it, definitely isn’t a sweet vanilla body mist. I don’t know how it compares to other vanilla perfumes that people are saying it’s trying to dupe. But I swear, just buy this!

Maybe it's my bottle, but the plum in this is so strong for me. It opens with a lot of plum and noticeable vanilla, and then the vanilla becomes more prominent on the dry down until the plum is about gone. I pick up only a little amber or woodiness once the plum has worn off. A really pleasant scent all around, but much fruitier than I expected.

A delicious dark ambery vanilla that I layer with Billie Eilish #1, Vanilla Vice and Vanilla Woods. It is a BBW body spray so I can't expect much out of it, performance wise. I do keep it near me at my desk for a quick pick me up. It is one of the few from BBW that I keep a few bottles in stock, especially at $5 each.

Absolute wowzer of a body mist! Smells like an old, vintage vanilla perfume. Sweet yet spicy and powdery. A little sweeter than Ciara, the two are definitely comparable. There is a strong licorice note which is such an underrated scent. Overall I give this one a 10 out of 10!

Viva Vanilla is a great pick if you’re looking for a dupe of Eilish! It’s warm, sweet, and comes impressively close to the original. I love using it for layering—it adds the perfect touch of cozy vanilla to any fragrance combo. Definitely a great addition to any collection!
