Whiskey Reserve

I have the original Whiskey Reserve before the reformulation/redesign, and while its fairly generic it never fails to get compliments on me. Rich boozy woods, good performance for a B&BW fragrance, perfect for fall and winter. Though $40 is alot for something so basic, id still recommend picking it up on sale.

This is an amazing masculine powdery scent. Wish it could project better and wish it lasted longer. About 2 to 3 hours of performance then it fades to skin scent. Clean manly smell. I love this stuff. I bought them when they got discontinued. Im sitting on 5 bottles

After they discontinue this scent I made it very clear Bath and Body works is not getting a SINGLE dime from me again. I am mad they threw this gem and they threw an amazing asset and spokesman that I could be for them if they kept this.

smell good but I cannot smell the whiskey clearly like the wood note. but it is cheap and very reasonable recommend who wants a wood note :-)

One of my all time favorites. Unobjectionable and tame. Not very unique but it's B&BW, so I didn't expect that anyway.

manly apple woody scents... smells almost like hugo boss

i have the reformulation, i think it’s great. i definitely see it on someone older, but i also think a younger person could pull it off with the right outfit/occasion. one very important note though is that this thing is a bomb!!!!!! i put on 2-3 sprays, was at an outdoor function and was absolutely smashing other people in the face with the fragrance. please spray lightly unless you’re clubbing or something because holy

Actually a really good release from bath and body works. (I know it was reformulated and I have the original so this is more of a OG review) Lasts all day 8+ hours with around 5-6 sprays and projects like a monster. It just smells super musky and masculine and would work great as a night out or date night frag. Definitely would recommend picking up for those cooler months. 8.75/10 Pretty good for the money

My "Father's Day 2024" gift from my wife and son. I've wanted another apple fragrance and they got the right one! I love the way this smells, it's fruity but still super manly. Looking forward to wearing this on tomorrow layered with a nice creamy vanilla. 🤠👍🏾 EDIT: After wearing...this dried down exactly to "Invictus Aqua"...which I already have 2 different versions of.

I walked into bath and bodywork’s the other day, it seems they reformulated it a long time ago :( I have the og though, for the price it’s a really good “night out” fragrance. Original smells like a caramel apple dunked in whiskey, in the middle of the woods. New one smells like the words “generic fragrance” Only buy if you can find the og. 8/10

Mass appealing Invictus Aqua clone, lasts decently long for its price of $45 retail. I don't know where they got the whiskey note from because that's just pure nonsense, it's nonexistent. Its name and presentation do not match its scent, definitely a sweet blue mall fragrance, do not be fooled. Overall, not a bad cheaper alternative to IA.

Opens with the smell of Crown Royal Regal Apple for about 30 minutes before transforming into an Invictus-y scent. Dries down into a fresh woody scent. Pretty good. The newer batches (newer packaging) seem to smell better than the older batches (old packaging). The older batches lack the apple note. Overall 7/10.

Travel size is worth the money. Not the full bottle. Too many better options at rack shops. Does not have any of the blues or citrus notes of anything anyone is saying it smells like. It’s literally, stay with me, apple woods with a little sweet booziness. No citrus, no ambergris, no legend or invictus.

Don’t know about the older versions of this but the reformulation is a very much a “blue” cologne. Versatile across all seasons but very fresh and uplifting. Lots of apple and woods. Certainly not the most amazing scent but as I’m trying to cut down my collection and get through the bottle, it’s surprisingly gotten me some compliments. I wish it lasted longer and maybe leaned into the more powdery musky notes but still not bad. 6.5/10 for me.

Starts with an apple immersed in Whiskey but then after 15 mins turns very woody. Just an ok scent. Performance is average just like BBW lineup.

I really liked this in the store, it smelled like my boyfriend’s sweatshirt. But after the tart apple in the opening fades it turns green and vegetable. I do not pick up the whiskey or oak. I also get something aldehydic and sour in this. Performance is good for what you are purchasing. I really like the apple note but it doesn’t stay long. I think Coffee and Whiskey, Vanilla Noir, and Mahogany Teak Wood, are all better options from the brand if you want an affordable masculine scent . Final Rating 3/10. This review is for the reformulated version in the white bottle.

At the store they showed this to me and i tried but i didnt like it smellls like absolute shit to me Then i checked the fragrantica page boom i had listed as i want it some how Its like a very ugly and dirty alcoholic old woman for me

Awful generic drugstore cheap synthetic drivel. I probably wouldn't be able to tell it apart from Bourbon by the same B&BW if I didn't I retire that bottle to the donation box a long time ago.

I’ve been testing this next to every Invictus Aqua smell alike I have. This is that. If you wanted to argue fragrance is all marketing (it’s not) this is what you would point to. It’s a shame really. Edit: I was waiting for the down votes. I blindly tested five other people between Legend Spirit and this. Literally no one knew it was a different fragrance. Maybe I’ll put that one in the smells like to protect it from the cult of Aqua worshipers.

Was very intrigued by the name Whiskey Reserve, but it smells like they took Bourbon, Noir and Teakwood and mashed them together. Not impressed. Which is sad, a few of their newer scents are pretty darn good.

All I smell is a sort of generic men's cologne. I was really hoping for the listed notes. It's okay, nothing special, nothing different. You'll smell nice.

This is gross. I just get musky aldehydes. I can’t detect any of the apple, whiskey or oak. It’s like a bad axe flavor.
