Wild Honeysuckle

I adore this fragrance. I wore it in college while I was dating my husband, and he mentioned how much he liked it. I also wore it down the aisle to wed him on a June morning, and even though it's a humble price point, it was perfect for me and for the occasion! Recently hunted down a bottle on ebay for my ten year anniversary. I hadn't smelled it in years and assumed I'd have outgrown it, but was pleasantly surprised. It's not exactly like a straight whiff of real honeysuckle, but it is definitely reminiscent. It's also surprisingly complex. I can't even pick out the notes but I get a little coconut (gardenia?) and honey under a gazillion white and yellow flowers. It's light and bright, just a tad tart, and super romantic. I agree that it works year-round, even in winter, there is a velvetiness that just works (if you are the type who wants to wear floral scents in the winter, like me). I feel it is long-lasting, but I am pretty sensitive to fragrances. If you are a white floral fan, it's definitely worth a try.

Why are you discontinued, why?! Le sigh. I'm not big on florals normally, but I love this. It definitely smells like flowers, but in a light, sweet way, without the cloying pollen-like aspect that usually bugs me. It has a natural honey-sweetness, like nectar, and it actually has a surprising warmth to it, it must be a hint of musk or vanilla or something. Whatever that is, it just melts into my skin and smells sweet, like a garden in summer, it is AMAZING. It's specifically the EDT that does this too, the lotions are a little more green/fresh, with a little bit of that sneezy pollen quality. It's also probably worth noting, Wild Honeysuckle is my guy's favorite too, and he can be SUPER picky. Everything's always "too perfumey," but he loves this one because reminds him of the honeysuckle flowers outside his house when he was little. I don't know what the real ones smell like, but it's gotta be pretty spot on to have gotten that reaction.

I'm still seething over the fact that Bath & Body Works discontinued this wonderful fragrance. I can't even get the body lotion or body mist anymore, and it's awful! It's not the most accurate honeysuckle fragrance-- it's more like a sweet and juicy honeysuckle if that makes sense. Regardless, it's gorgeous, and it's still one of my all-time favorite florals. It's also hands down one of my most complimented fragrances. It's very pretty, feminine, comforting, etc. I've worn it with blue jeans, I've worn it for special occasions, etc. If I could buy this regularly again, it would probably be a signature scent for me. I still have a bottle of the full size eau de toilette. I have been rationing it for a few years now, and I've taken all of the measures to make sure it doesn't go bad. lol.

Uplifting and feminine. This was my signature scent for almost 10 years. First I picked up the fragrance mist, as it reminded me of real honeysuckle blooming in June in my last home in the humid Mid-Atlantic. To replace it, I got the EDT, which has good lasting power on me with one spritz. I was surprised to see on a box somewhere that there were notes of cassia, honeydew, jasmine, and something else. I really find that the combination is a near-perfect representation of honeysuckle alone. It's definitely appropriate for a younger woman to smell fruity-floral without smelling cheap, but as I get older I may ask for others' opinions on whether I can keep wearing it. I certainly hope to...every time I open the bottle I think, mmm I could smell this all day!

Recently blind bought an older bottle of the EDT (circa 2007). I wasn't sure if I would like it based on the mixed reviews, so I took a gamble. At first sniff, I'm happy to say I was completely delighted! Wild Honeysuckle is a fresh, beautiful, ever-so-slightly sweet floral. I don't get any of the fruity notes at all, but I'm perfectly fine with that. For a frag that I was so doubtful of, I'm surprised that I find it so... intoxicating! It reminds me of being a teenager on a sultry summer night on the California coast, with the sweet scent of flowers hanging in the air. I think it will be a perfect warm weather frag, and I have a feeling this will become my go-to this summer!

I seriously love this fragrance. I actually found it by accident. I went into B&BW to get some lavender pillow spray and they had their semi annual sale going on. I found the EDT of Wild Honeysuckle. A few days prior me and my mother were on a walk around our neighborhood and kept passing by these gorgeous smelling flowers. My mother thought they were honeysuckles and I guess she’s right because this fragrance replicates that perfectly. I love wearing this because it gives the same feeling of walking by wild flowers on a sunny day. Oddly the word that comes to mind to describe the vibe of this fragrance is optimistic. Why can’t B&BW do more like this?

My gosh this is intoxicating!!! It is soapy, soapy floral heaven!!! Ahhhh, I can't get enough!!!! It's a winter time fragrance though if you want to smell the magic in this. It is similar to two if my faves meshed together, white diamonds soapy opening with under current of Kim K. Body green mandarin opening. This hits the spot! I once owned the body spray and I used it in winter time and I loved it! So years later I decided to buy the discontinued perfume and 😮 it's banging beautiful! But I don't remember my body spray smelling like this, although it was just as amazing... This is soap and I love it!

I am not a floral person in the least, but I must say this is the best honeysuckle scent ever. Bursting, bright, ripe, fresh and alluring.It is so natural smelling and not synthetic at all. Nor is it overly sweet. I wore this for a whole summer once and everywhere I went people told me I smelled good. Even bees followed me everywhere! (the only con) Plus, this has a sentimental value for me, as my mother told me it smelled like her first perfume ever,when she was a young girl. She looked so nostalgic as she smelled my wrist..her eyes glistening. I have decided to buy her a bottle for Christmas.

had this perfume briefly when i was younger. gorgeous, youthful scent, very sweet and naive! sad it's discontinued. it was great in the way that childhood desserts are great, probably not the best, in taste and in substance, but they always have that special place for you, and you long to return to them when you knew them as the best things in the world, before all those other expectations and disappointments came. wish i used this scent more. it was so light and fun.

Omg. I’ve been wanting a honeysuckle perfume for FOREVER!! I finally got this one off of a resale website hoping that it would smell like the description on the back—“Sweet wild honeysuckle dance in spring rain. Soft. Airy. Alluring.” And it does! Spring is my fav freaking season and this hits jackpot. It smells just like a beautiful dewy spring day and you walk past a vine of honeysuckles! I’m so happy, this is absolutely my signature scent now!🌷🌻☀️🌧️

This smells just like wild honeysuckles you smell while driving on the highways in south Jersey. One of my favorite smells of great memories of springs and summers. It's rather hard to find now and the Butterfly Gardens they say is the same thing smells like phlox and not honeysuckle. It can be strong and overwhelming sometimes. I honestly can't believe there's all these other notes in it. It just smells like honeysuckle to me.

Smells like Tommy Girl mixed with the original Vera Wang for women. Lily looms large. Fresh, sweetly floral, and VERY 90's. Would be the perfect scent to signal the approach of a ghostly apparition wearing a white lace top, one of those tiered floor-length skirts, and a black velvet choker. I'm also reminded of a simpler and less vulger original Juicy Couture, and a more floral-forward Jovan White Musk.

Like all BandBWorks fragrances, it smells exactly like what it says it is: Honeysuckle! It's a very nice floral scent, but I wouldn't want to walk around all day smelling exactly like a honeysuckle bush...it would appeal to me much more if I could pick up on some of the other notes, but I can't. However, I definitely recommend this fragrance in the soap or candle version or as a pretty hand lotion.

I get no other note other than the Honeysuckle, and that is just fine and dandy with me! I adore Honeysuckle, and this is the only Honeysuckle based fragrance that doesn't get buried by other notes on my skin. BTW- you can buy it online (the body mist,lotions,& bath gel) @ Bath & Bodyworks for a limited time under their retired fragrances line.

I looooooooooooooooove this perfume!! This was my signature scent on senior high!! Fresh and flowery--but not too flowery. Surprisingly lasts long on me. I didn't get bored of this perfume like I usually did on other perfumes. But sadly this perfume got taken by the security guard on the airport and I didnt get the chance to buy it again :((

I could bite nails in half that they discontinued my all time favorite fragrance!!! This was absolutely the best honeysuckle fragrance I've ever smelled in my life. I had the lotions, body washes, body mists, perfume...ALL OF IT. I was obsessed with this for years! BRING IT BACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!

I like this one for a summer/spring evening fragrance or a spray or two for daytime. I smell loads of honeysuckle and jasmine, and the scent sticks around on my arm even after a shower. Good staying power. I get some compliments on it, but the other night, a waitress went nuts to find out what it was.

this was the first “nice” perfume I got as a kid, and I still have my original bottle :’) it’s so nostalgic and reminds me of spring, family get togethers, and youthful naivety. I’m truly so sad that they discontinued this scent, but I’ll cherish my original bottle for as long as I have it

Absolutely sucks this scent is discontinued. I've had the original body spray from the early 2010s and just ran out. I bought the perfume version on ebay for twice the price. SO worth it. I wear florals all year long, but definitely a summer wear. I turn heads with this scent.

Wonderful true honeysuckle smell. Like the real thing. Light honeysuckle floral. a true note with nothing mixed in, I love it, Draws compliments. reminds me a little of classic Tommy girl ( minus the mint) similar to the old pink BBW classic Honeysuckle.

Yup. Honeysuckle. The sort I grew up with. Bright and spring-like and pretty. Does it smell expensive? No. Does it smell natural? Not really. Is it pretty: yes. And fun, and easy to wear. As the snow pelts down outside this is very welcome.

(I am reviewing the lotion.) I love this scent...the honeysuckle is in full bloom, and this flower isn't shy. Every time I put the lotion on, people would walk by and ask what perfume I was wearing.

This is a strong dupe of vw flower princess. U can actually smell this one whereas flower princess is far too faint

I love layering this with victorias secret bare vanilla or wicked

I own this one in the mist form and it's so beautiful. It's sweet, floral and very fresh. I don't detect any fruity-ness, but what I do get is a burst of aquatic-ness. Maybe it's the weather here (sunny and cool) or maybe it's my skin, but I smell distinct water notes, and that's the reason I love it so much. At first spritz it smelled extremely alcohol-like and pungent, but maybe that's because it's in the mist form. However, about 10 seconds later it's this gorgeous crisp, sweet and watery fragrance. For a body mist the longevity is quite decent - about 4 hours on warm skin. The only thing I wish were better was sillage. In the mist it is non-existent. It sticks to the skin, so unless I bury my nose into the wrist I simply cannot smell it. But when I do, it always, always leaves me feeling soooo good :). Even on the drydown, which is slightly sweet and powdery. All in all a gorgeous scent, alas the sillage though!

It's a sweet, honeyed floral with crisp edges, I think it's fairly decent. My daughter has it and I enjoy it on her. That being said, this isn't a childish fragrance at all (this kid surprises me sometimes with her choices 😊). This smells as if you hung a linen shirt over a honeysuckle shrub, while your fingers were sticky with melon juice, in the sunshine, with some honey as well. There's also some other white floral-ness in it wafting around. It manages to smell sweet, cooling, clean, and uplifting. It doesn't have a very expensive smell about it, and you can discern that it isn't high quality, but it doesn't smell cheap or tacky either. Longevity is poor, but it projects well for a little while. It's a good versatile fragrance, it feels like happiness, and it's an easy-reach. The color and asthetic of the bottle is perfect, and the look aligns precisely with the fragrance. 🌱🍯🍈

I really like this sent I'm glad they remade it. It was originaly called Honeysuckle and its part of the classic line. Anywhoo it reminds me of a cleaner fresher version of Jennifer Lopez's Glow. I usually layer the two perfumes to balance out the weird scent that is in Glow (see my review for Glow for more info). Wild honeysuckle sent is very floral and not to sweet. It doesn't smell exactly like smelling a flower in your garden but similar. update: startin june 13th 2012 is the semi annual sale!!!!!!!! and they r bringin bk recently discontinued sents!!!!!!! Like honeysuckle, butterfly flower, rainkissed leaves, enchanted orchid; cucumber melon, dancing waters and mandarin mango. But the bad thing is that one of the reps said that they r not gettin the body spay. But online i have seen the body spray for rainkissed leaves in a body spray!!! so who knws :>

I just recently acquired a mini EDT of this perfume from i'm guessing 2007? I used to not really care much for this scent, and I still now can see why I felt that way (but this review is positive I promise) This fragrance has a lot of jasmine in it, and I think jasmine is something that you either hate or love. Possibly you could tolerate it, but that doesn't mean you're a fan right? Well, bath and body works did something sexy here. They made this fragrance smell very floral and slightly indolic with the jasmine and honey. It's quite intoxicating, and perfect for all weather conditions in my opinion. Will jasmine and honeysuckle ever be my most loved floral combo? Probably not. Do I feel this scent is sexy and alluring? Yes!

When I first sniffed it, I thought: ehm, no. While my mom was going crazy about how she loved it and wanted to buy it. Then at my second try today, actually, I was pleasantly surprised! There is still a bit too much citrus for me(a problem my skin creates with many perfumes), but there is also something comforting and familiar. Reminds me somehow a bit of elizabeth ardens 5th avenue, which I adore. A pity that the staying power isn't so great... ps: special thanks to sky76sky for letting me try this one!

I have a Japanese honeysuckle bush in front of my house and kept telling my husband "they need to make a perfume that smells like that." So my search began. This was the 1st scent I tried. It's got a synthetic note that smells a little cheap but overall it is a pretty honeysuckle-like scent. After wearing it several times, I have found that it is too sweet for me and is much stronger than the honeysuckle I'm looking for. I I would say this frag is not top quality but casually wearable.

I just repurchased (on ebay) an old bottle of original formula, after years of being out. It is one of the most complimented perfumes I've ever worn. It is not at all my style (as it is a floral and I gravitate to spice and amber scents), but it must just mesh with my chemistry in a good way, because it does smell good on me, and strangers agree. It smells exactly as I remember it, and I am glad to have it back in my wardrobe.

(Review of the mist version, not in database) - A mature honeysuckle, soapy with some sweetness. Agree with raw umber, this is a mature Juicy Couture. Perfect pick-me-up office fragrance. Inoffensive and clean. Was gifted a bottle, will treasure it. 6.5/10

I have the spray and I really like it. But I feel it is too strong a floral for spring/summer. I recommend it for fall/winter instead.

Honestly I find this wayyy too light. Smells a bit like grass.

Body spray review. This is a lovely "single note" fragrance. I know it has a lot of other things listed in the notes, but I can't smell them. Then again I also have the body spray. Maybe the perfume is different. I use about 6 sprays and it lasts about 4 hours. About average for a body spray. I like this one for the spring and summer.

It’s a very nice scent, if a little soapy smelling to me. Normally I hate honeysuckle, but this one is nice. I should add that this review is for the fragrance mist and not the EDT. Real floral smelling. Not sweet fake or anything like that. B&BW did a great job on this one.

I bought this a few years ago because I had just started dating my fellow and he mentioned honeysuckle as the only floral smell he could stand. He loved this! Still does. I don't care for it too much. I never had a very refined nose for perfumes, so it didn't occur to me that this was anything but a one note fragrance. I figured I just wasn't a fan of honeysuckle. Now, smelling it again with more insight, I realize that the thing I dislike about it is that it ISN'T just honeysuckle. The rose and the freesia REALLY over power this for me...I'm reminded of bathroom spray.

i got the body mist, just so y'all know. this smells like sweet Sampaguita with a bit of honey, kinda makes sense because sampaguita IS a jasmine flower, which is one of the notes in this. i don't really want to smell like the flowers being sold outside churches (where i'm from). my sister likes it, though. she says it smells sweet

To me, it is just way toooo sweet smelling! I liked it when I was younger, but I gave away all my Wild Honeysuckle stuff because I did not like it anymore.

I don't like it at all.. I've got a headache right after I sprayed it.. The scent is also too 'old lady' like for me.. Meh!!

Wild Honeysuckle I first smelled in its lotion form many years ago (I was a teen). I thought it was amazing. I just purchased the EDT looking for a true honeysuckle scent. While this is simple and fresh, it is not a natural-smelling honeysuckle at all. It is more like a very light, sparkling jasmine, on a base of clean laundry. Not overtly synthetic, but borderline. It very roughly resembles honeysuckle; it is clear that it is an attempt at imitation with other notes. Real honeysuckle is much sweeter and has a pungent/earthy/indolic base. If you're getting a hint of indole from this perfume, I have no idea how you're getting it. This is clean, clean, clean. We have huge, tall honeysuckle bushes at the end of the street, and I savor their scent every year, which wafts an incredible distance. Just prior to receiving this, I had already found a lotion to layer it with. I'm afraid the lotion smells much better than Wild Honeysuckle. The lotion is called Lorna Lu Honeysuckle Shea Butter Lotion and I found it at Marshall's. It is quite an amazing and true honeysuckle. The retail price of that lotion was near $30 dollars, but I bought it for under $5. Unfortunately, that company does not make that scent in spray form. Bath and Body Works Wild Honeysuckle may not be a true or natural honeysuckle, but is is easy to wear and pleasant enough. The longevity and sillage are not great unless you drench yourself in it. It performs more like a body mist. It is very light and fleeting. I will be using this more in warm weather, especially spring. Recommended, if bought for a good price, and if you accept it for what it is. Honeysuckle is not the easiest note to replicate successfully, and at this price I can't complain.

This may be my favourite perfume ever! I think the best way to describe it is I often go jogging down my street early in the morning when everything is fresh and dewy and there's been a little rain overnight and the street is lined with flowers, a lot of jasmine around and because of this perfume I think there must be honeysuckle around too because when I'm out there the scent in the air, with all these things combined, smells just like this perfume! But there's more, I remember the first time I wore this I had been at work for a few hours and I started to smell something really nice, it smelt like someone was making a chocolate cake somewhere or a hot chocolate drink, it was driving me crazy because I couldn't figure out where this smell was coming from, I was about to ask someone, which I'm glad I didn't because I would have sounded pretty silly, because all of a sudden I realised it was me! That I was getting wafts of the perfume from my wrists so after a few hours it dried down to this really delicious chocolate scent, that's the best way I know how to describe it, like someone was baking a chocolate cake, I wouldn't normally buy a chocolate scented perfume but this was just so warm and comforting and delicious, it's such a shame it's been discontinued.

At initial whiff I knew this was something I would find myself wearing. I've never smelled a honeysuckle before but I just want to say that this is a very beautiful floral scent. Not sweet, but cold and fresh. Reminds me of white flowers. This is a very clean, cold smell and it reminds me of small flowers after a medium rain in a green field with small water droplets on their petals. Reminds me of a green meadow and tiny tiny flowers everywhere just after a rain and you're walking through and the air is crisp and cold. Not something I would wear on a warm day, in my opinion, as it has the tendency to get heady (in my opinion anyway, as I am very picky with scents and can easily get dizzy with strong green scents that remind me of cheap Bench body sprays). I would only wear this when I know it is going to be cold outside or in an air-conditioned environment. I also get compliments with these, from men and women alike. Overall a very likeable scent, I don't think many would object to this.

It's been about 3 years since I last used up my last bottle of this, but I still remember it liked I spritzed it on this morning. The first few spritzes were always slightly intolerable to me. Smelled so alcoholy and an onslaught of floral smell. Yes, SMELL, not scent. If I forgot to stop after the first couple spritzes, I would immediately start to sneeze. But after about 20 minutes, I remember the smell would finally calm down and turned into this amazing loveable scent of honeysuckle. I feel so wistful just thinking about the loveliness of it... I miss it. If I could find a parfum that was just as sweet as Bath and Body Works but without all the alcohol in it, I'd buy it immediately. ;[

This scent smells AMAZING layered with Coty Vanilla Musc. I swear it smells very similar to Givenchy Organza Indecence (one of my favorite scents ever!)I just discovered this the other morning because I spritzed some vanilla musc on myself and I realized, too late, that I wasn't in the "mood" for so much musc; so I spritzed some of the bbw honeysuckle on as well and I was over-joyed to find that the smell was delicious! and it really reminded me of Givenchy Indecence. Not as deep and complex as Indecence of course, but very similar. It also smells yummy by itself as well :)

Heady, thick, musky, and sweet.. a sublimely realistic honeysuckle fragrance. It is as close to the real thing as I've ever encountered in perfume. I am so excited about this one!! The scent of honeysuckle is a wonderfully nostalgic experience for me as I used to love finding bushes of them as a child.. it has always been a favorite flower of mine and I've been on the hunt for a good replication of the scent, one that evokes all those feelings and memories I associate with it.. and now I have found it!

I only tried & owned several body mists of this& countless others BBW'S, i really love this..however the Honeysuckle note by itself from my local organic oils& lotion shop...honeysuckle by itself is too soapy for me yet okay....but this Wild Honeysuckle is a sweet floral i really like,whatever the blend this is barley fresh...yet more of a sweet floral♧to me,well done B&BW'S!¡! Good mix of notes...for a bodymist...however wish i could try the edp°°°

One of the prettiest honeysuckle scents out there. It looks like such a complicated fragrance on paper, but I get no fruits, no other flowers--just pure, sweet honeysuckle from this one. Linear and single-note, but if you want honeysuckle, you can't really do better than this one. This is a great scent for young women and for warmer weather.
