Winter Candy Apple

I'm laughing at all the negative reviews! To each their own I suppose. No, I would not say that B&BW sells "fine fragrance," but I am, admitedly, an addict of their products. I've been a B&BW customer for 15 or more years, so I've tried a lot of their concotions, and I buy quite a lot of their body wash and skin creams. As far as the seasonal line Winter Candy Apple is part of, this one is by far my favorite. I love apple scents anyway and to me this smells just like the candy apples I ate as a kid, growing up on the Jersey shore, in early childhood. I mean, it smells JUST like those shiny, red, sweet treats and I love how it makes me reminisce about happy times. I don't wear it as a perfume, choosing instead for the hand and body washes and the skin cream and lotion. I find wearing it that way it is never overpowering and I get lots of compliments on it.

Winter Candy Apple may not be elegant, but she's December to me. After reading the notes I can seemingly pin-point the orange and the rose, though I detect no trace of cinnamon. This fragrance is teeny-bopper sweet and comes with a blast of a shampoo-fruity-freshness (Herbal Essences, specifically), and it invigorated me through four years of candle sales and 1:00am floorsets at Bath & Body Works in my early 20's. It's a festive daytime scent to wear while you decorate your tree and go window shopping for your mom and scrape the frost off your windshield in the late morning after asking one of your friends to hold your sugary latte. It's the sleigh bells in Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and the glitter that somehow got in your hair even though you haven't touched ANYTHING in this Pier 1 Imports

I just purchased the Ultra Shea Body Cream in Winter Candy Apple today. After showering, I applied it all over and in the two hours since, I haven't been able to stop sniffing my arms. Within the last six months, I have reacquainted myself with B&BW, so I'm new to the reissued holiday scents. Winter Candy Apple is sweet, but not bubblegum smelling. As a rose lover, I can really smell the petal scent of that flower. A cinnamon essence settles on the skin when dry. This fragrance is very pleasant, not obnoxious, and comforting. It feels and smells like a festive product. I will be using it into the winter and will probably return to the store to buy the fine fragrance mist.

Apples, Shampoo & Cinnamon... I find the mist different than the lotion here. For the mist I get apple, apple shampoo/herbal-essence, cinnamon-maple, and the lotion leans more to apple shampoo. There's something cooling here. It's a nice, refreshing apple scent, with a little bit of sweetness & spice in the heart that comes out more over time. I think this would work in winter, but the strong shampoo vibe makes it possible to work in summer as well although I haven't tried it then. If you like apples, shampoo & cinnamon, you would likely enjoy this. Love it. Enjoy!

Here's a twist to an oldie....Winter Candy Apple by itself is good. BUT WCA plus Vanilla Bean Noel is superb!!! Try it. A salesperson told me this in Bath and Body back when it came out. I thought, well, that's a pretty good sales technique! But lo and behold -- it worked! It is just the right amount of sweet, apple, spice, etc. Next time you're in the store -- spray the WCA first and then spray the VBN into the air and sweep your hand through the mist. YES there is a RIGHT way to get the perfect combination! :) Happy sniffing!

I absolutely adore this scent, it's one of the few winter scents that I really really like from bath and body works. I think most people who left a review hit the nail on the head when describing this fragrance. It's juicy red apple with a bit of candy, a soft rose petal, beautiful cinnamon incense and a woodsy bite! It's sweet and very alluring, but not cloyingly sweet like vanilla bean noel. I really hope that they continue to bring this out over the holidays because it really is a gem of a fragrance.

love this scent. i only ever wear around christmas time/ december, so festive. i bought a new bottle recently and i noticed a change in the scent compared to my older bottle. not sure if this is due to it being left sitting for years and the scent has matured. the new bottle smells much more of alcohol initially, and the silage isn't as powerful as my 2019 version. smells less candy than before but still a very nice scent, looking forward to seeing how the smell grows by next christmas.

sampled this out in stores today, i like it. it’s a juicy apple and the bottle design is very cute :) but i personally find it really similar to apple champagne and honey, so if anything i’ll probably pick it up at a sale EDIT: after a couple days of usage i can say i really do love this! it’s fruity and floral, kind of similar to japanese cherry blossom, but it’s also warm with a hint of cinnamon, i always get compliments with this scent :) and it lasts a long time too!!

I love this scent! Layer it with Jolly ☺ Gingerbread Village and you got a candy 🍬 winter wonderland! It makes me think of the fair in the summer too, so I say that it's good for both cold ❄ and warm weather because apple 🍏 scents combined with spicy ones usually does the trick. Other than that, it's my favorite Christmas 🤶 scent every year when it comes around in stores and online. I'll definitely make the scent last longer the more it ages overtime.

I'm a sucker for gourmand fragrances. This one is my all time favorite. I'm thrilled that B&BW continues to offer it. I have all the products in this scent. It's definitely my go to fall/winter fragrance but I grab it to wear on summer days too. You really get the apple notes upon spraying it on. That stays the entire time you wear it, but when it drys down, you get the wonderful blend of orange, maple, and rose mixed with the apple. I love it!

This scent has always been one of my favorites. It's such a bright, comforting apple scent. It has such a freshness to it that every time I wear it, I feel like I'm fresh out of the shower. Pretty sure that BBW knows this since they have made this scent in shampoo, conditioner, dry shampoo, body wash, lotion, mist, etc. It's such a cozy Christmas staple and pairs very well with Lattafa's Bade'e Al Oud Sublime.

Admittedly I might have a soft spot for this one because it reminds me of my sister, who used to wear it a lot :) She gave me one of her bottles and I use it often when the weather is cold; it's a perfect fruity scent for the winter seasons. Definitely makes me think of Christmas, and I really love the woody notes underneath the apple. (Also, this layered with Demeter's bonfire? SUCH a perfect holiday combo.)

the name does not lie, this sure does smell exactly like a candy apple! i don't pick up on many of the florals listed here, just a fresh, crisp apple coated in that sweet, red cherry shell. i think i would love it if the longevity and sillage was better- i don't know if maybe i'm just going noseblind to it, but i feel like i can barely smell it on myself shortly after applying, even if i put it on my clothes.

This is one I usually wear layered with the lotion. I get compliments on this one when I wear it which is usually in the summer months. Even though it's seasonal as a Christmas scent, it's soft, light, sugared candy apple that works well in the summer. Think of the nice sweet smells at the fair and that is what it reminds me of. I've repurchased several times and have back ups.

I picked up several bottles of this during the semi annual sale last year. It’s gorgeous enough to wear year round & one of the best scents B&BW s ever produced...Cinnamon candied apples with musky rose ... when I pair it with its matching body crème the fragrance really does last all day....simple & delicious like a simmer pot of goodness warming hearth & home....🏠🌹🍎🍏🌹🌿🍬✨🍭

I’ve always loved this perfume. I’ve only ever owned one bottle for myself, I don’t really wear it cause this is my mom’s signature scent and it just reminds me of her. But nonetheless, it’s an amazing scent. Very sweet, candy apple smelling. It has a sweet freshness to it. It always reminds me of Christmas time. The scent does last a long time and is potent.

I can pick up the candy apple,orange zest,musk & a hint of cinnamon....its a cozy scent that smells like fresh apples,sugar & musk! Its a really nice scent and the orange zest is like a pick me up!!! This scent has decent staying power especially when used with the matching bodywash and body lotion/cream.

The truth is that you don't need to use it only for winter. The sweet of this mist is unique so no one will know that it is special for winter. I love that it's sweet but a similar sweet like the winter air. And the smell of fruits reminds you of a kitchen full of sweets for winter.

one of my faves. I get compliments everytime I wear it. I prefer to wear it in spring and summertime, to me it smells like a candy apple. people that have asked me about it thought it was my shampoo/laudry detergent. probably cause of the apple note. very refreshing and sweet.

Here's a scent I really like from BBW. It's fruity, sweet and warm. I used to spray it all over everything when I was in high school, even carrying the hand sanitizer version of it on my backpack. It reminds me of a soap from my childhood, but I can't put my finger on it.

I should just buy the candle version of this because I love the scent but it doesn't suit me, like, as a person lmfao NOT!!!! N O T for people who don't like sweet scents. This is the sweetest body spray I've ever smelled. They weren't lying, that apple can candy.

Perfect little cold weather/scent!! I only smell roses,apples and cinnamon from this oldie but goodie fragrance.....I tend to wear B&BW fragrances when I'm staying home and don't want to wear my good stuff. Longevity and sillage are light/moderate with this one.

I got the lotion today and now I understand why so many people love this. I get: apples, soap, fall leaves and some florals. It can be pretty artificial/plastic-smelling for some. But thankfully I’m in love so I’ll be wearing this all year round!!

Discovered Winter Candy Apple in the 9th grade, when my mom had gotten the hand soap version and forgot about it for a few months. I found it and instantly fell in love with this scent! I always stock up on the lotion at the after Christmas sale!

One of my absolute favorites from B&BW! It’s sweet and fresh all at the same time. I personally think you can wear this year around. Whenever I want a happy scent I reach for my WCA & layer both the lotion & body mist. Happiness in a bottle! :)

Pretty straightforward candy apple+cinnamon scent, great to wear around the holidays! I feel like it’s also a bit stronger than most b&bw scents.🍎🍬 if you haven’t smelled this classic yet I highly recommend.

Got this one yesterday and I'm in love!!! Smells like a apple shampoo but in a good way its a all year round scent that Is just so addictive makes me wanna eat apples haha.

I have loved wearing this fragrance in the winter time close to Christmas and throughout the winter. It just gives me a nice cozy feeling!

My fav bbw mist of all time! So sweet, fruity and fresh, it smells like apples with a hint of cinnamon. doesn't give me a headache. 10/10

Bright, sweet, and inoffensive. If you like fruity scents, that is. It's generally pleasant and smells like a sweet apple spiced by a bit of cinnamon. The body spray version of this scent leans towards the cinnamon quite heavily if you tend to douse yourself in BBW sprays like I do. It provides an indistinct edge and spice that almost makes you forget it's a candy apple scent. But the fruit is still entirely dominant in this spray, don't get that twisted. As other comments pointed out, however, if you truly want the clean apple smell, I would go for the lotion or cream instead. The spray seems to be the only product that leans a bit more into the cinnamon note.

This is a rare occasion where a recent formulation works better with my chemistry than older ones. WCA starts with a ripe red apple 🍎 with fresh oranges. The heart becomes more spicy sweet when the cinnamon and maple show up. Now it feels like autumn and winter festivities. There is a clean white musk in the background felt from top to base. Now it is the moss in the base that does seem to tango well with the apples and cinnamon on my skin. However it seems to be more dilute in the modern formulation as I remember that the older formula had me feeling queasy. I like that this mist has some complexity to it although the performance is on the weaker side.

got my hands on this scent in the form of the diamond shimmer mist just today! i dont normally wear sweet scents like this, but im a sucker for the diamond shimmer mists they have, and the scents pretty popular so i thought "fuck it why not lmao". sprayed it on me and thought the smell was very fresh and sweet smelling. dont get much fruit notes from the dry down, still stays very sweet, fresh, and cinnamon like. overall, for being a kind of scent i dont tend to wear, i actually like it a lot! it is definetly a little synthetic smelling, but i think the smell is nice regardless. also im now practically covered in body glitter now so thats a plus 😭😭

I have had this years ago, its been a Christmas scent of BBW, those that they labeled as "seasonal". I find this scent very likeable, cozy and very christmas-sy, haha, if there is such a word. The candied apple scent is very present, its like apples drenched is vanilla cream kind of scent. I truly love this! The cinnamon is also very present and the combination of both is beautiful. Just wish they had this in perfume version that's available all year-round. Over all, I would rate this as a 4 out of 5.

This review is for the body cream. I can definitely smell the candy apple and cinnamon. I can smell a little bit of the rose and a tiny bit of the Orange that I think is mixed well with the cinnamon. I'm going to use this most in the fall, as it reminds me more of Halloween than Christmas. I do also find this scent really similar to the original pink bottle herbal essence shampoo as other have said in their review. It's quite strong for a body cream and lasts a good amount of time on my skin.

When I saw cinnamon in the notes for this, I avoided it like the plague since I hate apple-cinnamon scents. But upon smelling it in the store, I was pleasantly surprised. To me this just smells like apple and nothing else, but a stronger, sweeter apple than BBW’s Country Apple (which I find a little too shampoo-like). Though it’s marketed as a winter scent, it would work well all year round. Overall, very pleasant, versatile, and inoffensive.

I like this! I wore this the other day while working around the house. It was a blind buy a week or so ago, when B&BW was having a wonderful sale! I was pleasantly surprised by the glorious scent--so much more than plain 'ol apples. This is very musky--which I like. My nose picks up the various flowers, cinnamon, and the maple. It lasts pretty good for a body spray and projects wonderfully. I think this is a safe blind-buy.

This smells almost identical to the Kay Ali Eden Juicy Apple but for a fraction of the price, so i'd highly recommend this as a dupe. It has the same sweet candy apple scent, and it lasts pretty long compared to other BBW body mists. I'd definitely reach for this for a sweet and cozy apple vibe for the holidays, but it's definitely more of an artificial sweet maple apple scent instead of a refreshing juicy apple.

This seems to smell completely different on me that it does on the other reviewers. All I get in the initial spray is orris root and moss. Very earthy. No sweetness to it at all until several hours into the drydown, when I finally get some faint soapy apple, rose, and neroli notes. I still like it. The scent is quite lovely and it lasts a very long time on me, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

I got a bottle of the Winter Candy Apple fine fragrance mist last Christmas. I feel like I use it quite a bit, yet the bottle is almost full! Although I do smell a bit of spiciness in this perfume, it is fresh enough to use year-round, and even to the gym. The longevity, for a fragrance mist as opposed to an EDP, is surprisingly good. Maybe that's why I've hardly used any.

This is SOOO good! I think it is quite underrated since it's an "apple" scent. I think usually apple scents are assumed to be crisp or springy (like a green apple kind of smell). This is not that. I think the reviewer below me nailed it on the head when she said it reminds her of a holiday incense! I love incense kind of smells, so this may be why I'm so drawn to it.

Smells too sweet even for my liking. It will definitely make you nauseous if you spray too much or give someone a headache if they're chemical intolerant. The only thing I like about this perfume is that it's long lasting and the scent becomes tolerable and more inoffensive. I wouldn't spray it near my neck as this is too strong. It is red candy apple no doubt.

I was pleasantly surprised by this scent, as it was a blind buy. It is very fruity and floral, not in a shampoo way as you'd expect, but a little air-freshener-esque. This scent is fresh, slightly sweet, zesty, and a teeny bit spicy. Though it is a holiday scent, it could really be worn in spring or autumn, as it is not characterisingly Christmas-themed.

Soft, crisp, cosy and SEASONALL! I've had it for a few years and we always come back to each other during Christmas time but other than that, it sits untouched throughout the year. It fulfils its purpose of being a very niche, very seasonal, very distinctive mist for those 24 days in the year.

I have loved this for years and buy this every year at Christmas time. I buy the candle too. It smells like sweet candy apple and for some reason mint to my nose although it isnt listed that is what it smells like to me. Its strong, long lasting and reminds me of past Christmases.

As natluvly said, this is very much like VS Endless Love with just the slightest touch of spice. It's a shame it's a limited edition holiday fragrance because it could easily be worn all year. Good lasting power for a body spray, lasts all day on clothes.

I tested this in the store, and it did smell delicious however I did not buy this. I think the apples smell way too sweet for me to wear this, but its defiantly one of the yummiest smells they have around the holidays besides Vanilla Bean Noel.
