Notes on bottle: soft vanilla, velvet sugar, Chantilly cream Sweet, vanilla, lactonic, powdery, balsamic, luminous, feminine, sensual, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, delicious, tempting, addictive, inviting, cozy, comforting A super cozy and comforting slightly buttery vanilla. I read another review that described the butter scent as “the smell of browning butter” which I really do agree with. So overall, This has a kind of vanilla yellow cake-like scent to it with the browning butter, fluffy Chantilly cream, and balsamic undertones. It does have somewhat of a sugar cookie scent to it. This is one of the B&BW fragrances that I had missed out on whenever they launched it, so when it returned this year for the SAS I was there the first day to grab it. I also picked up Blush Cardigan, Neapolitan Ice Cream, Open Sky, Warm Musk, Inner Angel, Black Amethyst (for nostalgias sake), and more Cashmere Glow, Coastal Dreams, Meet Me in Miami, and Cotton Candy Clouds. They really had some amazing fragrances this summer, and for the SAS sale. Wrapped in Vanilla is my favorite from the throwbacks for the SAS along with Cashmere Glow. It’s such a delightfully cozy and sweet vanilla that wears beautifully alone, as well as pairs perfectly with other vanillas, especially the body care. I do get some similarities to Fresh Cream, Secret Crush, and Bare Vanilla, but they’re nothing close to a dupe. To me this feels very feminine, and suitable for women of any age. I think it works best during the colder weather of fall and winter. This feels most fitting for casual occasions as well as for work/school. The body care works for any occasion, especially paired with another vanilla perfume. I already particularly enjoy it with Kayali Vanilla 28. Sweet, vanilla, lactonic, powdery, balsamic, feminine, sensual, flirty, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, alluring, tempting, addictive, inviting, cozy, comforting It’s definitely very vanilla forward, and almost vanilla extract like (the OG VS Vanilla Lace is very vanilla extract like, and one of the best fragrances ever). It also has a delicate creamy lactonic scent from the Chantilly cream, and I do get something woody (maybe sandalwood?) which helps to round it out some. Overall, I think it smells like warm sugar cookies. I’m surprised that I’m not more impressed with this one. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely a lovely vanilla, and I do enjoy it a lot. I guess I’ve just heard so much about it over the past couple years that I expected something more? Something different? I’m not entirely sure. I was super impressed with Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds, Fireside Flurries, Bonfire Bash, and Cotton Candy Clouds which were all ones that I either sought out second hand, or in the case of Cotton Candy Clouds, purchased during its return. So, I know it’s not just something being over hyped in my mind. To me, Wrapped in Vanilla smells almost like vanilla cookies, and I wasn’t really expecting that. Like I said, I definitely really enjoy it, and am very happy to have finally gotten it, but it’s not something that would be worth hunting down after running out of it. I do think it’s absolutely still worth grabbing, especially during the SAS! It’s a wonderful addition to my collection, and I’m super happy to have it in the mist and body lotion! You’ll most likely enjoy it if you’re a fan of vanillas and/or gourmands. It’s easy to like, and definitely an easy reach. It does remind me somewhat of LoveShackFancy Secret Crush (a major love for me!), but Secret Crush is obviously more complex, and less cookie-like. They’re going to pair beautifully together, especially Secret Crush with the Wrapped in Vanilla lotion. To me this definitely feels feminine, and suitable for women of all ages. It does have a slightly youthful vibe to it, but the body care will work wonderfully with most vanillas, and it will layer nicely with them, especially if you want to add a sweet gourmand vanilla. It’s super cozy and comforting, so it’s really perfect for the fall and winter. fragrance notes: soft vanilla, velvet sugar and chantilly crème My all time favorite scent! I so wish they had a perfume of this. This is to die for! Luscious creamy whipped cream scent.. perfect if you want to smell like a walking bakery 🧁 If I could have one body mist for the rest of my life to wear everyday, it’d be this. I do not think this is overhyped at all IMO. It deserves more hype if anything.. 😅 it is so edible and gourmand and the layering combinations are ENDLESS! As this opens up.. I smell vanilla confetti sparkle DNA. Then I get hit with a blast of that buttered popcorn scent from joy sugared snickerdoodle. As it dries down more, I’m left with a very very sweet sugary fragrance. It’s literally a sugar note, on top of a sugar note, on top of a sugary sugar note, and then vanilla. I don’t pick up on much “pure” vanilla honestly, more like straight up whipped cream. It smells like pixie sticks candy if they had a birthday cake flavor. It also smells like fruit loops with cupcake frosting. Honestly I feel like the title is very misleading, as well as the notes. It is very unique smelling, and I must agree that I get that jammy fruity scent too although no fruits are listed in scent notes.. if you layer pink chiffon and vanilla confetti sparkle together you’d come up with something similar to wrapped in vanilla. But wrapped in vanilla still has more bakery to it than VCS. Also, I had my husband smell this without telling him the name or scent notes. He said it smells like brown sugar and vanilla. edit: this is raspberry jam donut without the raspberry :) projection: 6/10 longevity: 7/10 fragrance: 10/10 true to notes: 9/10 packaging: 8/10

The one season I went on hiatus from B&BW this beauty came and went.. since 2022 I have longed to smell her—I have heard so many good things! Talk about the one that got away..so naturally when I saw her come back for SAS I knew this would be the chance to redeem myself<3 You guys were NOT lying and WIV was absolutely worth the hype! Good things DO come to those who wait <3<3 I have seen reviews that compare this to Merry Cookie and Christmas Cookies. In my opinion they are not the same. In both MC & CC there is a distinct cookie note that pulls scratchy to my nose. WIV is much smoother and has a perfume vibe—not strictly edible. Mind you, I am a vanilla connoisseur and have a very sensitive nose that can detect even the slightest variations among vanillas. It’s creamy, smooth, sensual, cozy.. simply delectable. I am so glad I bought a backup while they’re still available. I am SO satisfied— welcome home WIV!

Although it's a vanilla gourmand and there are many other mists that are similar or in the same category, I can't think of anything exactly like this. On my skin, it's just pure creamy white frosting. It's not a "cake" sweetness, but really just a sugary, glazed, frosting/icing smell. There isn't anything "perfumy" about this, but I personally find it to be the best vanilla I've tried from BBW. Of course, it isn't going to be long-lasting but layering it with the lotion will give you a good run. As much as I love it and it's one of my favorites, it isn't worth the bazillions of dollars that they're going for from 3rd party sellers. I love the new Iced Lemon Pound Cake that's currently out right now just as much as this. I absolutely hope it comes back though!

i got this like most others because it was being hyped as B&BW’s best vanilla scent and as a vanilla fanatic i had to try it. and i'm here to say that yeah it’s a winner!! i absolutely agree with the comments that say that this kind of smells like christmas cookies/cheirosa 71 just more sugary but that’s why i love it🤤 those scents for me were all buttery cookie dough and no sweetness so to me wrapped in vanilla is the perfect variation of this scent profile. it’s pretty strong and fairly long lasting for just a mist&lotion and i would say for a good 4-5 hours i can still smell this in the air. also this pairs amazingly well with almost any gourmand fragrance, i just wouldn’t spray too much because it can overpower some scents pretty easily.

I have one bottle of "Wrapped In Vanilla"! An ex co worker gave me hers! Cause she didn't use it! I didn't know how MUCH I'd love it! It layers SO well! I've layered it wit "Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar"! On a whim! Ma mama told me I smelled sweet! One day ma cousin was doin ma hair! She told me I smelled like caramel! I've also layered "Wrapped In Vanilla"! Wit "Bare Vanilla"! Ma step mama asked if I had donuts and danishes! I said, "No, it's ma perfume!" I'm OBSESSED wit "Wrapped In Vanilla"! "BBW" doin us DIRTY! By not releasin it again! They should get rid of "Warm Vanilla Sugar"! Replace it "Wrapped In Vanilla" instead!🤷🏽♀️🤭💓

A sweet, edible gourmand vanilla! There is this graham cracker essence in this fragrance that gives off a dry-sugary texture. I get a slight hint of a fruity undertone in the opening but goes away in the dry down. There is also a bit of a lactonic note coming from the chantilly cream--Im so glad it does not come off as sour or rancid on my skin but settles into a more of a "toasted marshmallow" on my skin. I love this body mist and wish there was a perfume version! The longevity is not the greatest though.

I didn't use this for months because it smelled so much like buttery graham crackers to me so in my closet it remained, until last night. I sprayed it before going to bed and Hallelujah! I finally smelled the delicious cream that people are talking about. I'm wearing it to work now, layered with WVS, and I do declare, I smell totally scrumptious, I am obsessed. It might not project so greatly but I can smell it well and good on myself and that's what matters to me.

i am so happy i finally got this. this is so good! this is a creamy, sweet whipped cream vanilla. it starts out creamy with a little cookie, almost like cookies and cream. warms down into a creamy whipped cream and a little tiny fruity tone. its so yummy, and it smells like how body fantasies cupcake swirl should have smelt like. (it smells really similar to that without ANY spice) i really love this!! perfect for fall and winter

Probably the best pure Vanilla smell ever! It’s a very simple smell and doesn’t last more than an hour on the skin, but it’s so worth it just because of the smell! I found layering it with perfumes that have a sweet vanilla base is the way to go. The best combos I have found are Born In Roma and Very Good Girl

I don’t get any butter, captain crunch, or popcorn from this. It is a sweet spicy vanilla that reminds me of a fall candle. There is an almond or praline aspect that makes it very warm and cozy. Overall smells like a warm cake with spices, and a hint of buttercream frosting maybe

The BEST vanilla B&BW has come out with in a long time and then they discontinued it so quick & haven't brought it back since :( I honestly am over B&BW lately & this doesnt help smh. I'm savoring the one body spray I have & using it sparingly until they decide to bring it back.

They are bringing this back for SAS (June 15th) and I will be ready to purchase at least 8 sets because I have spent some money purchasing this from Mercari and Poshmark since it was discontinued!!! I have two original bottles left that I can now freely use!

bought it for a higher price than i would’ve wanted😅😅 super buttery vanilla, though! incredibly warm and sweet gourmand — very much like buttercream frosting on a cupcake. great for layering and hopefully bbw brings this back so it’s more accessible!

This is such a rich, buttery vanilla with an undertone of fruitiness. I almost get buttercream frosting. This is a gourmand but not too sugary, surprisingly. It's got a lot of warmth and coziness to it.

Yummy vanilla custard. This to me is a true gourmand. Buttery-creamy-sugary goodness. The body cream is also amazing. Both layered together will put you in danger of getting devoured by pastry lovers.

A warm Buttery vanilla. Not much to it and that's why I love it. I wear this often as a bed time scent or when I'm not in the mood to smell like something complex. It's just warm and cozy. Love it.

Straight up vanilla frosting, super sweet & cozy. Smells almost identical to Treaclemoon's 'Vanilla Moment' shower gel 🩷🧁 Unfortunately it doesn't project much! :(

I LOVE THIS SCENT, WISH I BROUGHT IT AGAIN!

Finally snagged a couple bottles at the sale for $5 after hearing so many positive comments, and it is nice. I would describe this as a true gourmand vanilla in that it starts rather "yellow-cakey," and finishes with more of a sweet, slightly creamy vanilla frosting note. On me, it opens with a whiff of that slightly boozy, almost cherry-tobacco pipe smoke type of vanilla, and that fades within the first 20 minutes. It then turns into a true vanilla frosting scent without getting cloying. This profile does make it a little difficult to layer with some of my greener, floral, and fresher scents, but I could see this layering well with other vanillas & gourmands, ambers, and woodsy perfumes. I have found it to layer beautifully with my sadly discontinued People of the Labyrinths Luctor et Emergo. There's something about the opening that made me think of that fragrance immediately. To my delight, they work great together and I actually enjoy wearing it at this time if year. Otherwise, I'd classify this as more of a cool weather vanilla.

This definitely grew on me. I had no idea what I was expecting for this. Upon spraying, I get all types of things like fruity marshmallow, graham cracker, and vanilla. But on my skin, it's more of a vanilla/salted caramel type of fragrance (which I don't at all mind). I was expecting more of that vanilla to project, though. I think it's a really nice fragrance. I understand the frustration because the bottle does imply that it's the type of vanilla that you'd want to be wrapped in. BBW should have been created a pure vanilla scent. It's stronger than WVS and VBN in my opinion. It lasts for a while on clothes, but doesn't too much on the skin. I also think that this scent is HIGHLY dependent on body chemistry. So I would suggest, if you can, to go smell it on yourself in the store. BTW, this pairs nicely with the Vanilla Cashmere EOS lotion!

Definitely not 100% vanilla. It's buttery with a bit of fruitiness or something, like a jam of something. Very sugary. I definitely like it but idk why I almost never use it. I've had it for an entire year now and it's never my first option. Sometimes I find it to be a bit too sweet. And the times that I do reach for it, I find the projection so disappointing that I just then forget about it for months until we meet again for some reason. I think it works better for layering instead. Scent 7/10 Longevity 4/10 Projection 3/10 Edit after now 2 years: I've finally decluttered it. My opinion hasn't changed a bit, it's just not that special lol. So since this is so hyped for some people, then lets them have it. Not to mention Victoria's Secret did a dupe of this already called Vanilla & Dreamy Pop Jelly

This fragrance is all about sweet vanilla, cream, and a hint of cake batter...very straightforward. It smells like vanilla frosting and has no complexity. For the first 30 minutes, it’s warm and comforting, but then it turns into a powdery, synthetic scent reminiscent of “Bath & Body Works.” Longevity is weak: it lasts only 3 to 4 hours and is barely noticeable unless someone gets close. Projection drops off within 20 minutes, so reapplication is necessary. If you prefer a simple, sweet vanilla scent and aren't concerned about performance, this scent works for you. Just don’t expect compliments or long-lasting wear; it’s more akin to a cozy vanilla body spray.

This scent is possibly the most overhyped that BBW ever came out with. I have one question...where is the Vanilla? I was expecting it to be this wonderful vanilla cakey/frosting type of scent. But it’s not, it’s just Pink Chiffon with a slight bakery note, I have 10 bottles I blind bought the lotion and 2 shower gels and I’m extremely disappointed. Although I like the scent Im not over the moon obsessed with it like I wanted to be it doesn’t even last that long when it’s paired with the lotion, I like the lotion, the cream however smells like nothing to me. I’ll stick with Christmas Cookies. I’ll sti wear this sometimes but it was a huge let down for me.

For the people who say it smells like Captain Crunch or buttery, I can understand where that's coming from, but for me, this smells exactly like sugar cookies. This is what I wished the native sugar cookie body wash smelled like. It almost has a yellow cake-y type of sugar cookie vibe to it. Not Captain Crunch in a synthetic way and not butter popcorn in a salty way, but what I imagine yellow 5 would smell like 1:1 it smells like the process of browning your butter. But not quite brown butterLike when you're making cookies and you're at the step where you have to mix the sugar and butter together. That's what this smells like.

I absolutely love this vanilla! I loved the original WVS but over the years it has become a watered down poor quality ingredient mess. This vanilla is creamy and lasts on my skin for a couple of hours before I need to reapply. I can’t complain considering this is only a body mist. I also use this to layer with other fragrances. It layers nicely with Daisy and Alien.

I've had this for a while and decided to wear it today, since the weather is nice and chilly. On me, this is a different kind of vanilla. It is vanilla mixed with whipped cream and something sweet and tart, kinda like Sweet Tarts or Smarties. I'm digging it. Normally, I'm not a vanilla girl but I do like this one.

This is a true gourmand. You will smell like vanilla ice cream and sugar cookies. I love a beautiful sweet scent but I don’t like smelling like food. If dessert is your thing then it’s a go.

Love this scent but I wish it lasted longer. It smells like pink chiffon with an added bakery note to me.But the longevity is terrible. I think I’ll get the Dirty Soul soap co parfum version

Begins with a strong blueberry note for the first couple minutes, then it disappears & turns into a whipped cream/icing scent. Very gourmand and sweet. Lasted about 3 hrs with layering

It is pretty and smells like buttercream frosting. It is nothing spectacular but, I don’t have anything else that smells like this. A cozy nighttime scent more for the fall or winter.

This one is a lot more buttery and nuttier than i remember (lol). I wouldn’t say it’s anything super unique, but I do like it. Very similar along the lines of merry cookie or sdj 71.

Didn't detect fruity notes. WIV smells like the drydown scent of most of BBW gourmand mists. Great for layering.

A perfectly lovely little vanilla scent. Can't go wrong with the classics.

I’ll be honest, this isn’t what I’d call a safe blind buy. For some reason, I pick up a distinct popcorn note in it. It’s definitely warm and cozy, but on me it reminds me of sitting by the fireplace watching a movie, eating buttery popcorn, and sipping on a latte. If that sounds appealing, you might love it, but I’d recommend sampling it before committing to a full bottle.

Smells like a very sweet caramel vanilla.

I like fresh fragrances and also vanilla ones. My favourites are Bonfire Bash, Beach Nights, Vanilla Confetti Sparkle, and Fireside Flurries. I got a bottle of this because it was being hyped up a lot. I was wrong to do that. This doesn't go well with my body chemistry at all. It smells like sour milk or a strong smelling Greek yoghurt. It also smells like a cloud of vinegar when you first spray it because the projection is so strong. I tried giving it a chance and let it rest for months, but it still smelt like cat pee to my nose even after that long. I don't understand why this was so hyped up. Bonfire Bash at least has a really sweet, sophisticated, and cool-toned type of vanilla, so it isn't overpowering. It's also quite difficult to take off, but at least that means this is concentrated. Fragrance : 1/10 True to Notes : 3/10 Packaging : 9/10 Longevity : 7/10 Sillage : 8/10

This had a lot of hype around it, and I'm a huge gourmand/vanilla lover - but it was unfortunately a synthetic vanilla, with unpleasant dry down notes for me. There was a metallic, almost play doh-like feel to it that was very noticeable - similar to what has also happened to me for years in dry down with BBW's 1) Warm Vanilla Sugar and 2) Cashmere. You may not notice these notes, and end up loving it! But I noticed them during every type of testing (air, tester strip, and my own skin) - so it ultimately wasn't my cup of tea.

I want to like this but I'm afraid I just don't. To me it smells exactly like Body Fantasies Cupcake Swirl. It smells like a cinnamon cake or something. I want it to be a creamy vanilla like VS Bare Vanilla but I'm just not getting anything where I would say "Yes. THIS is vanilla." I'll try layering but I'm very disappointed. I have the Body Fantasies spray and to me they are exact duplicates and the BF spray was only $3.

I have the body cream. I expected to love this scent but I don’t. It’s way too sweet, cloyingly sweet, and it has a weird phantom dried fruit and nut undertone as though it’s a vanilla and fruit oatmeal with way too much sugar added. Not for me!

Unfortunately, this is overhyped. I wanted to like it. I usually love vanilla scents. It started off fine but there was something in the mid-notes that smelled like sour milk/rancid butter; nauseating.

On first sniff I got domed with a metric ton of captain crunch but I could see how this might read as yellow cake to some people

This was an instant 🤩 from the moment bath and body works released this mist and the whole range. something about the name "wrapped in vanilla" seemed so alluring. I imagined it would be something sweet, creamy, soft like wrapped in the most luxurious gourmand vanilla scent. Everyone was going gaga over it so i had to try it myself. Well...lets spill some honest tea here 💅 Wrapped in vanilla has the notes of soft vanilla, velvety sugar and chantilly cream. For anyone who is interested chantilly cream is like whipped cream with lots of sugar added into it :) Scent description: Ok from the first blast after the alcohol goes away i get a blast of cinnamon which isn't a note listed in scent notes but there is a prominent amount of cinnamon added here. it smells like a fruit cake with lots of raisins in it. The sweetness can also be described like a fruit flavoured cereal that we eat. I do detect some buttery note that is in there but that's very faint like you have to really rub your nose to smell if it's actually there. So the fruit cake-like smell establishes itself and stays for quite some time. After about an hour and half you get the wafts of something creamy, mildly fluffy, moderate vanilla frosting kind of smell. the sweetness is very faint, not cake-like. To my experience the dry down is fruit cake topped with creamy, sweet whipped vanilla icing scent which smells nice. It's not overpowering nor potent. Now if i come to the projection i will say its moderate, longevity is moderate on my skin, i am giving review of the mist only without the matching lotion and shower gel. It might perform a lot more if it is layered with matching products i don't know. The smell does last on my skin for 6+ hours without reapplying it from time to time. So is it worth the hype that the youtubers are saying hell nooo! Is it worth buying it at full price hell nooo! Does it live up to its beautiful name hell nooo! If you are looking for a true creamy vanilla scent this is very much a disappointment. It's an okish mature vanilla scent, but you need to layer it with something more potent cause the scent is veryyyy faint on the nose like it's there but barely surviving 😒

I blind-bought this expecting it to be a lighter take on Lattafa Éclaire, but it turned out to be quite different. The opening projects a delicate tart berry scent from afar, while up close I get a buttery popcorn accord that reminds me a lot of Merry Cookie. Initially, I wasn't particularly impressed, but the dry down changed my mind. Once it melts into the skin, it becomes a soft, skin-like vanilla that lingers beautifully. Overall, it may not be groundbreaking, but I think it's a lovely fragrance that's well worth owning

A very sweet but fluffy vanilla gourmand, edible and sugary. If you don't like sweet scents, of course I would steer away. This is a nice one to have on hand for layering and sweetening up other fragrances, or if you just want to...wrap yourself in vanilla? I've been on and off with vanilla lately but today I have this paired with another of their winter 22 releases, Dream Bright, which is a perfumey berry scent. Together they kind of give a fruit loops scent, but in a really delicious way!

Overhyped. I had to let it sit for literal months for it to marinate and get decent lasting power. something about it just smells like grainy butter and cheap vanilla. I get nothing creamy about this. For some reason, this goes well with Victor and Rolf's Flowerbomb. But I never want to reach for this scent

One of the nicest vanilla scents Bath & Body Works came out with over the last few years. It's so good that it sold out at the 2022 SAS. Wrapped in Vanilla shares a vibe with Cheriosa 71 but the strength is alot lighter than the Sol de Janeiro brand. The body lotion and fine fragrance mist smell great!

Like many others, I get a bit of a jamminess in addition to the creamy, bakery, cakey vanilla. This smells extremely similar to Raspberry Jam Donut and Blueberry Sugar Pancakes, but it's as through Wrapped In Vanilla is the base of those scents before the addition of their respective fruit accords.
