You're the One

There are no words to describe how much I love this perfume! I literally put more on multiple times a day because I love it so much. I just want to smell it all the time. I would shower in this stuff if I could lol. What’s very weird is that when I first smelled it I thought I hated it, it smelled like an old lady to me. I put it on anyway just to see what the dry down was like and I’m not kidding within like two hours I was like “what is this lovely smell”! it grew on me to the point where now I’m addicted to it. Pretty crazy honestly. I’ve never gone from hating something to loving it so quickly! And it doesn’t give me a headache at all, ever. I never thought I would find a perfume that I love as much as TM’s Angel, let alone a scent like this that is so totally different from it. Perhaps the biggest surprise was that it was from Bath and Bodyworks, of all places. This does not smell like it comes from a lower end shop; it smells like a high-end perfume that you would find at department store like Nordstrom. The only other BBW scent I got this addicted to has been Into The Night (which is also excellent and smells high end) but I think You’re The One is the one for me right now.

I've tested the body spray in store and can definitely smell the strawberry and rose. You get whiffs of the sweet and juicy yet artificial strawberries, rose that is prevalent enough to be detected but not to the extent of overpowering the other notes, and woodiness from the birch. It is overall one of the best scents at BBW that would probably layer really well! The overall vibes the spray gave — a seemingly delicate girl with thorns and some tricks up her sleeve. Anyway, I got the body lotion. It smells and projects slightly different from the spray. Instead, the birch is the star of the show. The delicious strawberry and rose notes are still there but the birch is much louder. It smells a tad bit more mature compared to its body spray counterpart. Would add an interesting layer to gourmand and floral fragrances. A few things that I can confirm for sure: 1)It is a head-turner. You will get compliments and/or have people ask for the name of this scent. 2)It is not too juvenile nor mature, but I can see both groups liking this scent.

Update: this has become my #1 scent from BBW; I love it. It's absolutely intoxicating and layers so well with many, many perfumes. This one never really appealed to me in the past, but BBW was having a sale on their mists so I ordered this along with a few others I will review as I form my opinions on them. (Other faves of mine from the brand: In the Stars, Almond Blossom, Dahlia, and Fireside Flurries). I chose this to wear for Valentine's Day - the bottle to me *screams* Valentine's Day and love, and of course rose HAS to be in your perfume on V day at least in my opinion. And this is it--a fruity-fresh rose! I do really like it, holds its own and lasts a heck of a lot longer than most of their mists. That said, it's still a body mist so you'll want to spray it generously on your body and then on your clothing to maximize it. I'm curious about layering this with other scents. It would be pretty with any other strawberry perfume (Burberry Her comes to mind).

This is the best scent that Bath and body Works has ever released. Honestly, I'm a body spray and body lotion junkie... I have more bottles of lotion and bottles of sprays then I can use. But I go through bottles of this like it's nothing. And that's how you know I really like something, cause I never really use up anything. This, and sensual amber. But THIS... this smells so good... I absolutely love it. Far from juvenile, and it actually has throw and staying power. This is my favorite thing to put on after I get out of the shower... Lotion myself up and spray myself with the spray. It leaves me smelling absolutely divine. The strawberry and this is very subtle, and it lends a youthful hint to the rose, but it doesn't make the scent itself fruity. It's still very much a rose forward floral. I think the birch is what keeps it from being too sweet. This scent is amazing. I don't think I'll ever stop wearing it.

I received this as a gift for Christmas from a friend (body spray, body wash, and lotion) and was shocked when it smelled familiar... had to think about it before realizing it smells almost IDENTICAL to Tocca Gia perfume. Seriously, this would be an almost exact dupe. Rose, sweet, soapy. I LOVE the Gia perfume, and was thrilled to have something that smells so similar. If I’m being honest, this smells just as good, is much more affordable, and.... it lasts incredibly long. I sprayed this on me, wore a jacket, and will continue to smell the fragrance on my jacket for days. That is amazing! Especially for a body spray to have that much power. I hope this is a staple in BBW, but I will be grabbing a lotion and spray before the season ends just in case. Buy this if you like: -Tocca Gia -Rose Jam from LUSH -Rose scents in general

this is a divine rose-strawberry scent (i have the body mist and the body lotion). the strawberry is not the bubblegum/artificial type, and the rose is dewy, not powdery or dusty. it's youthful -not childish!- and light, yet grounded and sophisticated at the same time. i find that BBW knows how to work with a strawberry note, they always nail the perfect juicy sweet strawberry without a plastic-y aroma. You're the One is definitely a cold weather fragrance, in the summer it loses the DNA and smells more like a banana instead! another thing is that it projects as long as its wear time (4-6 hours) and has great sillage, it fills up a small room. i can not smell it on my skin, if i bring my nose up to my arm there is nothing. but i can smell it in the scent bubble that it creates.

Update: I love this. It’s beautiful. Probably my most fav bbw scent ever. Beautiful. I kept hearing youtubers rave about this one so I went to test it out today in the store. Yes, I found it very pretty, in a Bombshell sort of way. But they literally did not have one body spray or perfume for sale in the store for this. Even if it ends up being pretty light on me, I would still like to have it to wear as a bed scent. Sometimes if I wear heavy perfume to bed, it gives me a headache, so something a little lighter might be a better idea anyway. The thing that I really liked about it was that it smelled so bright to me.

I am so much in love in this fragrance and I have a BBW store very close to my place ,so I go like every week just to check out what's new,and keep asking for this perfume,as it was discontinued so quickly .The scent is fresh rosy -birchy yamy...One day one of the shop assistants offered me to call me if they receive any,so I gave her my tel number...And she called me,I went to the store and my bottle was secretly kept especially for me.Very nice surprise.Also BBW gave me a coupon for free full size body item,so I grabbed the pairing shower gel.Lucky me.I am good for now,I am happy!Thank you,BBW!

This is probably the only floral dominant perfumes that I've found myself LOVING. This is such a sweet, juicy rose scent I'm so sad because this was gifted to me by my mom for my birthday and it's really hard for me to find a floral perfume that I like, let alone love and this is no longer available at the B&BW in my city :/, however if you are able to get your hands on this, you should absolutely BUY IT. This is a perfect Fall/Winter/Spring scent, since it is so strong I would avoid wearing it during the hot summer months because I can see it being too cloying.

Just picked this one up, it took me a trip around the store to decide if I should purchase and I'm glad I did!! I have the mist and body cream. A very wearable rose fragrance! I'm often drawn to rose perfumes but find them hard to wear because they usually smell so mature. The hint of strawberry makes this one just youthful enough to keep me from imagining Grandma on Sunday, while still feeling like a 28 year old woman, not a teenager. I've been reapplying all day because it smells that good! Just the right amount of sweet and sexy to wear day or night.

I love this perfume, it was my signature scent through most of high school. I bought this in a mall with friends after smelling countless perfume at bath and body works. The reason I picked this over all the others is because to me it doesn't smell chemically or synthetic like most other B&B scents. Personally it smells more like rose than strawberry, i love that but if your expecting a super fruity scent this isn't it. Its both a day and night scent. Lasts the day, especially on clothes. This is a great cheap floral daily scent.

Omg this BBW scent is one of the BEST imo along with fairtytale, in the starts and dream bright!! So So beautiful and very versital. I can wear this in ANY season, its never cloying or obtrusive. Just a light beautiful jammy strawberry and birch forward scent. Not immature, I can see a wide variety of ages wearing this scent. Just plain lovely. The longevity is meh, so I suggest using the body cream along with this mist/parfum, and even the body wash if you will.

Come on! This is one of the best fragrance from BBW and the lasting power is insane . It lasted so long time on my skin and clothes . I only have the fragrance mist and its all enough. If you like fruitty, shampoo-ie , floral , fresh scent, which is long lasting , then try this. This is giving me the VIBES of “my burberry”collection, as well as Issey Miyake “Rose en Rose” plus it smells like lancome Idole. Not for everyone, but definitely for me 🙃😃

BBW Newest edition, Awe what a jewel, this smells so good. I purchased the body spray, and body cream a couple of weeks ago, and have been mesmerized by this scent. The perfume smells like something that should be in a high end department store. I wonder how long this beauty will be around before it's taken off BBW shelves. It truly upsets me that every time I get attached to one off their fragrances they decide to retire it.

My first time testing at the store this was an immediate NO. Next time, I thought well that is interesting but no. Third time, I was looking for a travel spray of something and so picked this one up out of a lack of other options. Took it on a three day trip and fell in love. Try this one a few times, it might grow on you. I have now been back to get the full size mist + the body lotion. Love it so much!

This is really juicy in fall weather. I was trying to force it all spring and summer but it just wasn’t hitting the spot right. Until today... it’s September and now this is baby is in all her glory, the magic of this fragrance is alive! Mmmm I can’t get enough! Rosy strawberry without smelling cheap or plasticky. It’s so succulent! 🌹 🍓 ❤️ very very sexy tart and sweet. It’s like the perfect juicy kiss 💋

I find YTO to be a good dupe ingredient for PDM Delina. They have a similar drydown, but YTO is more fruity and Delina is more rose at the beginning. On its own, it's a very pretty, refreshing and flirty fragrance. I love smelling of roses and this is a perfect everyday fragrance for me. It lasts about 4-5 hours which I like because this is a scent that can make me nose blind.

This is one of the best bath and body work's has come out with. The rose, strawberry and birch go so great together just enough of each in it this is also our opinion as everybody's body chemistry is different. May smell great on some and not so good on other's. I love this fragrance and so does my husband which is a plus and if he want's to wear it that is fine with me.

I recently picked up the body mist. I'm sooo regret not purchasing the body cream during their sales. Right now, I have this layered with Pink Sugar, since both have the strawberry note. The combination is a very gentle and sweet smell. Lovely fruity/floral! ETA: I see that the product line is on sale at BBW. Lemme go order the body cream!!!

whenever i wear this fragrance mist you're the one, it smells like palmolive pink soap in the philippines in a good way, this is a rose with a hint of strawberry and birch in the background to give it some depth.. beautiful beautiful 👏👏when i'm done with my first bottle.. will surely repurchase this whenever i miss this kind of scent.. 🥰🙏

My boyfriends mother got me the set of this stuff last Christmas (could it be a sign!?!?!?!? lol) I really like the body wash/scrub. It smells fruity, but not too much to the point where it burns your nostrils. It's perfectly sweet and not overpowering. It doesn't last very long though, which is my only complaint.

Does anyone else get a note of sliced Wonder bread starting to ferment in the plastic bread bag? Just me? 😆 I love this fragrance. It's long lasting and can easily be oversprayed so a little goes a long way. I have the edt and mist and shower gel and they smell identical to me. I layer it with Gingham Love.

I love this perfume! This is a berry, floral, woodsy scent. I get many compliments on this. This is long lasting with a moderate sillage. It would work best in the spring, or summer but you can wear it year round. It smells similar to Angel Nova by Mugler if you want a more affordable option.

This reminds me of al rehab sabaya. Also has the dry down of 5th Ave vibes. It's gorgeous 😍 I'm so thankful for this site and everyone's reviews that lead me to these new and amazing fragrances that I otherwise would not have known about or even thought to try. I'm in perfume heaven!

I love this scent. I get the rose but it's not the powdery, old kind of rose. This is a rich, mature, seductive rose accompanied by the woody, citrusy birch. This one smells spicy and perfumy at the same time. Plus the strawberry to make it sweet and feminine. Ultimate favorite ❤

I just smelled it in the store and my instant connection is to want it more. I like how it is just three notes and no confusion. you buy it if you like those notes and you don’t buy it if you don’t. For me I would say “you are the one”. Simple an extra Girly

Such an enjoyable rose fragrance. I smelled this on a co-worker and went and got it. It smells like you should be wearing a strapless ballgown. Clean, slight fruit, and beautiful clean rose. No one would ever guess this is a B7B and not an actual Frag.

I have this in the lotion form. I like the scent, though not a favorite. On me this stuff is very strong and lasts a long time which is wild for a $4 (on SAS) body lotion. It is also very moisturizing as all my BBW lotions are.

I own the fragrance mist (You’re the one). This is a beautiful strawberry and creamy scent. I love this because it lasts long too, even with just using the body cream from this collection.

Blind buy and I'm glad I did I'm on a rose collecting streak at the moment, I will be purchasing the whole collection in this scent. Nothing is yet to beat my beloved in the stars tho ✨️

The rose really hits the spot in the body mist/perfume. I only have the body mist so the perfume may be slightly different. Overall, it’s a very pretty body mist/perfume!

If you like Mon Paris but find it too strong then this is a good alternative. It isn’t the same fragrance but it is very similar.

had this as a shower gel and would audibly moan when i sniffed it. good stuff, not as amazing in the lotion form, though.

EDP vs. BODY SPRAY: I did a side-by-side comparison of the perfume and the body spray. I noticed no difference in the scent, and the projection was the same. The perfume lasted only about 30 minutes longer than the body spray. Not worth the price difference. Review: I don't like the concept of "old lady scents." The only time I think a scent smells old lady is when I smell a perfume, and the wearer of said perfume happens to be older. Occasionally, I smell something that feels semi-juvenile, but applying an age bracket to perfume is dumb, so I try to avoid it. Despite my views, I'm surprised the ridiculous "old lady" label is being stuck to this fragrance. I mean, out of all the perfumes out there to title "old lady," people are picking this one? To me, it's a reasonably modern rose, and it just smells classy and timeless. It's one of those scents that I started off feeling just okay about and later found myself craving to smell throughout the day. This is what I wanted Miss Dior and her various flankers to smell like. One of the best releases from B&BW in recent years.

YTO is very, very...pretty. I can see why this has become a sort of gateway between body sprays and full on perfumes, because it is a notch above the morass of offerings B&BW releases. And, for a body mist, it has fantastic performance, and I think the EDP is easily on par with most fragrances on the designer market. It's frutier than the "drop of strawberry nectar" denotes, it's a jammy strawberry as it opens, and the berry persists even as it settles. I see people complain about this being too rosey occasionally, which I find surprising, because this is the sort of easy Millennial/Gen Z rose that really takes the heavy potpourri rose tones out and leaves sweetened pinkness behind. I find this exceptionally easy to appreciate, and I can't imagine anyone aside from the most rose-avoident people disliking this. It's just easy! I mean, yes...it's marketed a little glamorously compared with other fragrances from B&BW, but even B&BW's more perfumey things are still relatively tame. (Cross posted to both entries) 🌹 🌞

I have the body spray, not the perfume. This is lovely. It reminds me of Vampire from Body Fantasies which I was obsessed with in high school. It also smells a bit like Paris Hilton Rose Rush at first. Something gives me a green apple vibe. Then it dries down to a sweet and slightly spicy rose. The dry down smells a lot like Vampire and also Dolce and Gabanna The Only One 2(which smells similar to Vampire.) It's one of those fresh and clean in a sweet almost gourmand way. This is a quality I love in a fragrance because I need my perfumes to be sweet, and it can be difficult to find something that is sweet enough for me but also fresh at the same time. Edit: Eventually the dry down became too much. The opening is beautiful and fruity, slightly warm spicy rose and strawberry. But the beautiful opening doesn't last and it just turned into amber and patchouli on me. I ended up giving away my lotion and body sprays to some family members cause I just couldn't do the drydown anymore.

I can't quite decide if this is my kind of fragrance or not. I do love the smell of rose, but rose fragrances can be quite fickle. What i can say for certain is that You're The One is surprisingly sophisticated, deceptively so even. It *smells* like something fancy, something you'd expect from a costly bottle at Sephora and not a $17 body mist at a soap and hand cream store. The strawberry doesn't drown out the rose, in fact it enhances it, highlights it, and the birch notes add a bit of depth. It doesn't come off as too cloying or sweet, and I'd even call this scent a 'mature' rose but not too 'mature'. My question is, is this for me? Because I can say with confidence that it is good, and I might recommend it to a lot of people.

I have received interest in my fragrance when wearing the lotion and body mist for You're the One. I ordered on a lark after hearing it was much like Lancome's Idole. I have the Idole body lotion and it's so strong, it lasts all day as a scent - without the perfume. So, I was blown away with how close the BBW's lotion was to the Idole lotion. A touch lighter (less peppery) with an added nice strawberry note -- but otherwise very close. The body mist is a beautiful rose scent and it's easy to spray your clothes as well as over the body lotion. BBW's has done a great job in my opinion, creating a warm rose scent good for work or any close quarters. And made it affordable for many.

I’m not a huge rose fan, but I actually enjoy this! I smelled it the first time and thought it was interesting but not for me. However, I kept going back to it and it totally grew on me! It is quite rose forward but also very sweet from the strawberry nectar. It’s not a candy strawberry that’s recognizable, but you can tell there is a sweet fruitiness to accompany the powdery rose. I don’t get much birch but it’s not nonexistent. Definitely a more mature scent compared to most Bath and Body Works scents. I would highly recommend smelling it in person and giving a week test- I don’t think it’s a good blind buy unless you love rose.

Got the EDP version of this and I must say it definitely is one of BBW’s more mature scents! It’s fruity, yet sweet at the same time, with a tinge of sophistication. I can imagine that this would be cloying for some people though, so best to smell it first before purchasing. I must say the strawberry note really comes through with this scent. I’m aware that some reviewers have mentioned a rose note, however I don’t really catch it at all while using this. I live in a humid and hot country all year round so I will probably not be repurchasing this, as I feel this scent would be the most ideal in an autumn or fall setting.

For the mist: YtO starts with a crisp, fruity, airy and youthful rose (at this stage I sensed green apple more than strawberry). In the heart it sweetens like a rose in full bloom with a juicy strawberry (but is not syrupy or jammy on my skin). As the dry down approaches, the fruity rose gives room to a grounding woodsy accord and occasionally I sense a smooth suede note as well (?the birch). The performance is very good for a FF mist. Not a dupe for Lan. Idole but very good for layering with it or any rosy perfumes. But YtO is great on its own right and I’ll definitely use it alone. Well done BBW.

I have it in a form of a shimmer body mist, which actually gives a very pretty sparkle that does not look cheap. Perfect for the summer. However, because of shimmer, you can not just keep reapplying it to your body over and over to refresh the smell. The fragrance is sort of vintage, or at least something from the 90s. This is also sort of mature, so I would not recommend it to teenagers. The longevity is a couple of hours which is good for a BBW body mist, cause the rest of them I have last 1 hour max. In general I like it, but I don’t love it so probably I will not repurchase.

toes the line between mature yet youthful & jammy rose? can’t wear it on it’s own bc of this reason but it blossoms BEAUTIFULLY in the heat i'm still shocked to this day abt that. i think layering this w/ Chance eau Tendre EDP was a great choice to help pull out the rose & lend Chance more lasting power. it also adds a lil more complexity to Si Passione. i’m glad it’s occupying such a funky little spot in my wardrobe. scored this during the semi annual sale ages ago so it rlly was a steal & u dnt need much to create w/e vibe ur going for so the 8oz goes such a long way.

I first smelled this on a friend. On her it smelled super expensive and when I found out it was BBW I ran to get it. When I got it though I never wore it so it started sitting in my perfume drawer. I figured I should try wearing it since it’s getting cold out, and I love it! It’s initial spray is rose and juicy strawberry. Once it dries down I get more of a woody note. This also works as a perfume even though it’s a body mist because it’s so strong and it lasts for a really long time. It’s a great floral for winter time.

I'm loving this spicy, fruit-jammy (yet airy?!) rose. I have the mist, and it's not cloying or heavy. I love how this has the rose/strawberry (insert other berry here) combo of so many high end perfumes but without the dank patchouli to ruin it. This develops so good on skin. I've never called a B&BW fragrance sexy, but damnit this is! Can still pick up on this the next morning and that's just the mist. This one is a winner. Update: Husband commented he likes this "spicy rose". Yay!
