Oud Paradisio

Something about this fragrance called out to me. I had to buy it immediately upon release. I had to have it shipped from a boutique in france because no one was selling it in the US yet except BDK themselves and I have a boutique in France that I like to buy from. I'm so glad I bought this despite being a blind buy. This fragrance is AMAZING especially on the dry down. The pineapple is subtle to me at opening and I get a lot of Incense and Oud. But let that puppy sit for about 15 minutes and you start getting a dusty rose that eventually starts to sweeten from the ice cream and cocoa. I still get a mixture of the ice cream, incense and rose 8 hours later with the perfect amount of sweetness to make the fragrance alluring and has me wanting to smell myself throughout the day. This is in no way similar to Oud Maracuja outer than the oud lol. 9/10 fragrance for me. Longevity lingers on me into the next day and sillage is also great with only 2 sprays. This is a forever bottle for me. Jordi worked magic with this fragrance

Oud Paradisio from BDK Parfums by Perfumer Jordi Fernández is the most exciting to my nose of the newly released Collection Studio. The pineapple ice cream accord is a unique hook that is attention grabbing and amplified by the use of bergamot and incense in the opening. The mid reveals a light floral rose heart that is slightly sweet and airy. The Thai oud in the base of the fragrance adds depth while supporting the sweet and floral heart of the fragrance. The choice of Thai oud really demonstrates Jordi Fernández's mastery of oud since the facets of Thai oud in particular are truly synergistic to the blend of materials in this fragrance. Another masterpiece from Fernández.

I had the pleasure of testing this yesterday and I was so happy that it didn’t turn into another oud maracuja thing. The first 15 seconds scared me, because I undoubtedly got that almost band-aid like leather+ an overripe fruitiness that oud maracuja has, but oud paradisio changed quickly and for the better. The pineapple ice cream note is smoothhhhh. It’s very creamy and sugary. It has a very light but addictive lactonic quality that smells so edible. The Oud in here is a touch earthy and chocolately and compliments the rose and the pineapple ice cream well. I will purchase this when/if it hits discounters... because $420 is outrageous

I’m digging this release. Echoing the sentiments below, Oud Paradisio is definitely reminiscent of Oud Maracuja, which is no surprise given that it’s the same perfumer. That said, Paradisio feels noticeably smoother, sweeter, and less nuclear (though it is still very strong). The rose is also more prominent here, which gives the composition a prettier, more rounded feel. Honestly, this feels like what Jordi may have wanted Oud Maracuja to be... still bold and fruity, but with a more playful, fun, and wearable vibe. My sample will definitely be turning into a full bottle soon.

This is first and foremost a rose fragrance. The creamy sparkling pineapple opening is addictive. Rose takes over after a hour. “Oud” is just woods. Silver Ceremony is the real oud fragrance in the line. Performance is very good. It’s surprisingly not cloying in the heat and quite versatile.

Really like this one. IMO it's even suitable for not too hot summer days. The best part for me is the beautiful cacao note on skin next morning after wearing it. For me it doesn't smell like Oud Maricuja. Oud note is less sharp. Looks alike Oud Maricuja, but definitely not the same.

I personally think that this is a more refined and rounded Oud Maracuja. I think people who struggle with the strangth of OM will enjoy this one more. Also, more wearable then OM for summer evenings. I was wearing it in Nice on a hot day and it lasted all day. I like.

Tried this today at my local niche shop Perfumology in Philly. This totally reminds me of Jordi’s Lattafa Musamam Black Intense layered with Hibiscus Mahajád. I love it. Full bottle worthy for sure!! 10/10

I really like this one, but I am a sucker for rose/oud/saffron. This one for me feels lighter and fruitier with the pineapple. For the oud fragrances this one is very wearable.

What is this reminds of section. This does not smell like oud maracuja or hibiscus at all. Wtf

Okay, this one surprised me. I expected another oud-maracuja clone the second the pineapple hit — that same overripe fruit-leather thing Jordi does — but Paradisio pulls back before it goes there. First few minutes are almost dessert-like, pineapple ice cream with a smoky edge from the incense and saffron, and it's smoother than I thought it'd be, less nuclear. Give it twenty minutes and the rose trio takes over, dark and a little metallic, and that's when it actually starts smelling expensive. Dry-down is cocoa and Thai oud, more earthy-chocolate than sweet, which I wasn't expecting from a fruit-forward opening. Longevity's solid, projection is moderate — this isn't a room-clearer, it sits closer to skin after the first hour. Only gripe: the rose honestly does more of the heavy lifting here than the oud does, so if you're buying this expecting a full oud-forward scent you might be a little let down. Beautiful, sensual, daring. If you like Oud Maracuja and rose perfumes in general, this might be a love for you. I prefer this one to OM as this is more layered, sweeter and smoother. It’s not punchy as that one as well, although still punchy enough. Slight Hibiscus Mahabad vibes as well, so slightly though. This is completely unisex maybe a tad more feminine than masculine if you believe in that stuff.

I picked up some samples from ZGO to test the new collection. While I agree this shares DNA with Oud Maracuja, I find Oud Paradisio to be much more wearable, interesting, and refined. It offers impressive, long-lasting performance on the skin and is a fantastic release overall. That said, it’s not a full-bottle purchase for me personally, as I generally prefer more subdued fragrances.

Initially fruity oud reminiscent of Oud maracuja, but it transforms into vanilla ice cream, more interesting than Oud maracuja, you can really feel the quality of the ingredients, more natural and more wearable, however it remains closer to the skin.

Why am I getting a bit of Impadia's offensiveness from this? It is slightly unusual, I get none of the top notes stated in here. Barely any oud but something in there is sharp. I get the oud maracuja comparison but I have to dig my nose in my skin to get that - maybe I am noseblind to it. Emmm, it is strange as this perfume does not evoke any emotion, reaction, nothing in me. I feel indifference towards it, no perfume ever made me feel that. Probably will not buy a full bottle at this stage, gorgeous bottle color tho as the juice is not that color. I'll test the sample till it's gone, maybe its just my mood being 'meh'.

My partner: "I smell pineapple everywhere I go in the house, is this you?!" I had litterally only put on 1 spray. Sillage is phenomenal; however, as I am not super into pineapple as a scent, this is not my jam. I get the idea though: pineapple ice cream on a hot tropical evening/night, with some leather involved (it's not as a note but it def smells leathery to me on my skin). It's really attention-catching. The drydown (after several hours) is your loyal cozy and enticing oud, who comes like an easy friendly hug after all the fruity-spicy-floral drama.

A fruity, rose-forward oud fragrance with extremely strong performance. After the first hour, though, it starts to lean more toward the feminine side in my opinion . That said, it’s much easier to wear than Oud Maracuja.

Smells like a mix of Oud Maracuja and hibiscus Mahajad. Nice but no where near as good as either of those individual scents. Redundant for me.

Я это аромат распробовала в помещении, на улице, в тепле и холоде. Все пыталась привыкнуть к нему, понять изюминку. Но никак! Этот аромат совсем не для женщин. Не могу представить женщину в этом аромате. Бергамот, ананас и уд вместе это неприятно.
