Pas Сe Soir

This is a review about how I was expecting not to like it at all and why was I wrong. The description and the notes sounded boring and not at all what I normally like - white floral with some fruity notes - meh don't like jasmine and orange blossom-dominated fragrances at all, and in my experience even a likeable juicy fruity opening won't save it for me if I get that jasmine blast in 5mins. The base doesn't seem to have any of my fav notes such as musk, vanilla, sandalwood, tonka bean, either. Also, patchuli can be too heavy or animalic for me. Lastly, I sampled gris charnel and wasn't impressed. But this is such a classic from the brand, and one youtube niche fragrance reviewer whom I keep in high regard has been so flattering to this perfume that I had to try. So, I was wrong. This is absolutely lovely, put a smile on my face from first moment and I cant stop sniffing myself hours later, loving every moment of it. I see some reviews saying that it's generic and boring - ok, it may be for some, but don't confuse it with "bad quality" and "unpleasant" and "not worth the money". It is still high quality niche and a huge hit for a reason. Here are the reasons in my view: Juicy playful sweet opening, but never cloying and not girly. Very delicate and well blended florals - not the type that gives you headaches and make you think about walking past blooming trees and sneezing. Such a warm smooth but at the same time green and almost juicy base... Just overall a very, very good composition. It is not quirky or daring or challenging or overtly sexy, but sooo deeply feminine and elegant and attractive. Maybe won't be a signature fragrance for many, but will certainly be a crowd pleaser. Something tells me this is the kind men will love smelling on you. I'll test that assumption later.

when I first smelled this, I did perceive its dna to have something in it that smelled 'designer', like something that could've been a recurrent blend used in a line of scents and their flankers. but two things I noticed were that non-fragrance hobbyists don't really pick up on this, and that the more I smell it the less that aspect of it mattered to me. the standout notes and excellent blending on this fragrance make it very compelling-- quince has an almost tropical/ floral headiness to it that I find very enticing. when I would buy fresh quince in the fall to make into preserves, I would constantly hold the fruit up to my nose to keep catching whiffs of its complex bouquet. you know when you'd bring a pomelo home and it'd scent the whole kitchen? or when someone else was peeling an orange in class? pas ce soir is such a soothing yet bright scent that makes you want to linger around it, almost sad that it will fade. I can't believe I fell so hard for this scent, but it's so beautiful and refreshingly addictive. it has a juicy, just shy of tart edge relaxing on top of the nectary sweetness that is unique enough to stand out, but remains so friendly and endearing that it desperately makes me want to be perceived that way by others, to have them feel the way I feel about it too. I would be so happy to sit next to someone wearing this, and I often put it on at home just so it can hang out with me. for what it's worth, my boyfriend (who loves fruity-type scents on women) loves this fragrance and picked it to be my valentine's day date perfume. I think it really is such a crowd pleaser-- not impossible to understand, all the while having something more special and slightly rare for those who are looking for it.

Omg....I'm IN LOVE with Pas Ce Soir! This is a fragrance that 100% HAS to be "macerated" but actually its oxidization (recieve, spray 2-6 times, then tuck it away in a cool, dark safe space). On my skin after oxidization, I get a juicy sweet Quince, mixed with a soft sweet airy jasmine note & the Amberwood adding warmth to the fragrance, and the cashmere simply adding depth & smoothing everything out. It's simply a juicy, semi warm, airy, comforting summer scent. I don't really have anything like this, nor have I smelt anything super simliar. It dont seem that unique....until your really try to compare. So imho it is semi unique, yet not ground breaking, it's beautiful, perfect for warm to hot weather and it actually does better in hot weather imo. Only thing I wish was different is the projection, b/c it last FOREVER. Even on my skin it last like 5.5-6hrs. So longevity is great! Just feel like the projection is light. But regardless, if your looking for a mature twist to a summer fruity scent...THIS is your girl, something not two offensive, for summer and super versatile, also this is your girl! I rate this an 8.5/10. Def will aquire her for my collection or possibly the elixir, but I still need to test that one. PS: The dry down & after like 5hrs, when it's a skin a scent, it smells a lot sweeter...more like A sweet Amber with a little bit of granulated sugar, and just a VERY light hint of an unspecified fruit in the background, but this is really putting my nose into my arm.

She's a classy lady. I was gifted this on my birthday by my husband and I simply adore it. It is very feminine and sophisticated. It smells very unique and I can't compare it to any other fragrance I have smelled before. This is probably due to the quince chutney in the heart notes. The opening is sweet and zesty due to the ginger, mandarin and pear with a bit of a twist coming from the black pepper. It has a very uplifting effect. It then settles into the jammy quince note blended with the orange blossom and jasmine. Lovely sweet, a little bit tart and very feminine. It is not sickeningly sweet or headache educing. The patchouli in the base is very soft and well blended and the cashmeran and amber wood gives it a more mature feel. When I say mature I mean that it is a classy, fruity, floral scent and not juvenile in any way. It is not similar to your typical fruity, floral desiger fragrances. The longevity is fantastic. On clothes it lasts until the next wash. I prefer to wear it on warm and sunny days, but I'm sure you can pull it off in colder weather too. The BDK bottles are all beautiful in their quality and simplicity. I love the art deco vibe. It screams luxury. The cap is heavy and fits perfectly. If you are curious and have time you can read a bit about where the design of the cap originates - it is a lovely homage to Paris. P.S. I sometimes layer it with Initio's Musk Therapy. It is a beautiful combination.

I have a lot of samples and for some reason this is the one I can't get out of my head. I love white florals and generally think I own plenty, but not owning a FB of this feels like a genuine loss. It's exquisite to me, fresh and natural with a unique gently spiced fruitiness balanced beautifully with florals and woodiness. That quince, so warm and alluring and lightly peppered, I find it comforting and sophisticated and slightly mysterious and whenever I smell this I cannot stop inhaling it greedily. It's just so beautiful! I don't mind the low sillage as it's a scent I'm happy to keep in my private bubble, the problem is the performance. It's gone so quickly that I just can't justify the price. But it does leave cleanly, no notes stay behind. It's like there is no drydown stage at all. And oddly enough, the patchouli here is polite on my skin which usually amplifies patchouli beyond tolerance. I also adore Bouquet de Hongrie from BDK but it has the same poor performance. I remember seeing reasonably priced hair scent versions on the BDK website but they are no longer there. I will try the Extrait as it seems to last a bit longer but I am already sad that it is not exactly THIS. I would wear this scent as an implant under my skin if I could, it smells so good to me. I'm sorry for the people who don't smell what I smell, I hope something else smells this beautiful to you.

I am absolutely in love with this beautiful perfume! Pas ce Soir is one of my most favourite spring, summer fragrances from my entire collection and my favourite from BDK Parfums. I have to give credit to Demi Rawling for discovering this scent and to Pas ce Soir because this is the fragrance that made me realise that I love quince! The quince-ginger-pepper combo with the soft, creamy, woody dry down is what it sets this perfume apart from most other fruity perfumes on the market. In the opening you get a syrupy sweet quince and mandarin orange, a bit of black pepper and a splash of spicy ginger. The floral heart notes: Moroccan jasmine and orange blossoms blend so nicely and smoothly with creamy cashmeran and warm amberwood. As everyone knows by now, Pas ce Soir is such a sweet, fruity, white floral, citrusy, slightly spicy, slightly woody scent. I find it very feminine and flirty and, dare I say, signature worthy! I wish it would last longer for the price. It performs moderately on me. But this is a definite repurchase when I run out. It’s captivating and addictive and I can’t see myself without Pas ce Soir in my collection. As smell, I still prefer it over the Pas ce Soir Extrait. But the Extrait performs better.

The first time I smelled this fragrance, I was smitten. While it shares similarities with many sweet date-night scents on the market, it has an X factor that makes it uniquely addictive and special. I usually dislike fragrances that lean too sweet. Still, this one strikes the perfect balance—its sweetness is like a signature cocktail of fruity notes, white florals, and warm creamy amber, evoking the feeling of an evening in a high-end Mediterranean resort. It's cozy and seductively good, a scent that makes you want to dine at an elegant restaurant or cuddle with a loved one. Far from being boring, it’s complex, layered with many notes that unfold beautifully over time. The longevity is outstanding—I could still smell it on my shirt after two days, with the scent evolving into something sweet and subtly alluring. During my recent vacation, I brought about ten bottles of fragrance, yet I found myself reaching for this one two nights in a row. It’s simply perfect for a night out on the town. The intoxicating scent earned me several compliments—from my driver to my friends to the strangers at the bar where I was hanging out. I love it so much that I’ve officially placed it in my top five favorite scents.

I absolutely love this fragrance and it was my first high end purchase. I went to Harvey Nicks to check out and buy another fragrance and as I walked through the door I was (nicely) accosted by a sales lady who handed me a card with a spritz of this on she has also kindly written the name of it on there as well. This card haunted me, I couldn’t stop sniffing it and it sat beside my bed taunting me with its gorgeous smelling presence. I kept going back to it and honestly the card held the scent for days. So much so that I was back in HN a couple of weeks later where I dropped full retail price for a bottle. A couple of weeks later they released an extrait version and I wondered if I should have held out but having now tried both I keep coming back to this and finding a happy place every time I smell it. Sometimes I will go weeks without reaching for it but everytime I do I am reminded about how gorgeous I find this. I find this wearable year round and this frangrance makes me feel amazing when I wear it. I clearly have a preference for perfumes with an orange blossom note and this one hasn’t disappointed me ❤️❤️❤️

I kind of get the hype. Is it something familar and a mainstreamish? Yes and no. I mean it did remind me a bit of Olympea Blossom surprisingly, but... I find that BDK often does that thing when they create something already familiar, but improve it: much better composition and smells more expensive, possibly due to the better quality source materials they use, which I believe shows a lot in their fragrances. For example Tabac Rose - sweet gourmand rose is kind of overdone, but their version of it is a masterpiece. I mainly get a syrupy sweet quince and not so much ginger or orange. I am also getting a lot of black pepper, (not the kind that would make you sneeze, it is intense yet polite). This black pepper note prevents the scent from smelling juvenile and adds this 'something': it is exactly like its name - promisingly sweet, yet with an edge, like a flirtatious lady who is very coquettish and flirty, yet says 'not tonight'. This could be worn in spring, summer and autumn, I am not keen on fruity perfumes during very cold weather. I believe you can wear it during the day and also for a date night.

I absolutely adore this perfume and it's my signature scent for sure. The sillage and longevity can change day to day which is a bit unusual, but I still adore it anyway. I don't know whether it's because I live in a predominantly cold country and it doesn't project when it's colder out.... I originally wore the sample out and about in the summer and someone got off the train next to me (after I had worn it all day) and said I smelt incredible which probably means I should pop it away for autumn/winter. It was in my basket for ages and my bf bought it for Valentine's Day, so I was extremely excited. For me, I love fragrances with fruity notes but it has to have warmth to it, which is why the black pepper and the ginger is incredible in this. Ginger is usually too overpowering on me for some reason (Valentino Voce Viva has a ginger note where on me, it overpowers everything else that I may as well have rubbed ginger on my wrists) but this one is just perfect. It's a 9/10 with a point deducted just because some days it doesn't last at all.

I do not understand the hate this one gets, this is such an agreeable easy reach. The opening is sweet, fruity and feminine - then the final dry down is a sweetened-woody-musk. The amberwood actually reminds me of a clean and smooth oud. I do not get much patchouli at all. The performance is nuclear as well, I actually find the EDP to perform better than the extrait. The extrait is slightly misguided as it looses the fruity-sweet flair, and the ambroxan steals the show of an otherwise perfectly blended EDP. Still a fan of both - BUT if you're in between the two I would recommend going with the EDP. That being said - cashmerean notes are fairly unpredictable with one's skin chemistry. The only way I can see Pas ce Soir going left is if cashmere/musks do not work with your skin chemistry. Very safe blind buy if they do!

I have the travel size of this and really like it but I couldn’t justify a full bottle. It’s a beautiful patchouli floral which is lightened with some juicy orange and ginger. I agree that it has similarities to Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar but that has a cloying honey peach element to it, whereas this is more of a floral candy dry down. It doesn’t last as long as it should on me and I’m getting through the travel size way faster than I would like. I maybe get a couple of hours of discernible Pas Ce Soir and then just vague sweet muddle. I’d be intrigued to sample the extrait but...this is already expensive for the price. Why should I have to pay even more for a scent which lasts?

With my curiosity peeked by the hype, I got a decant to give this a try, and also because of the hype, expected to be fully bored by it. Instead, I was moved to tears by it. Never have I had such a strong emotional reaction to a fragrance, but this immediately made me think of my mother. Not that it smells like my mother, but it FEELS like my mother: it is so incredibly comforting in an uplifting, cheery, playful, and energetic kind of way, and it's also straightforward and no-nonsense. It's a scent that is there for you, reliably comforting and pleasant, like a good mom.

I think it can be used for any occasion, a fruity floral scent. On my skin, quince, jasmine, and orange blossom are prominent. I think it's completely unisex but a little more feminine, however, anyone can use it. A very it-girl scent. unisex but leans feminine, I think you can go from day to night by spraying this in the morning and then the extrait at night. ps. I kinda get the bad breath note some of the negative reviews say this has, however, only when sniffing close from the spray nozzle, you should judge a perfume by how it performs on skin, not on the bottle.

Never have I been so fast to order a full bottle after trying a scent! I was love at first sniff. Surprisingly, because I am more of a unisex gal than a girly sweetness kind of woman. This is definitely sweet but it has a punch of energy that is addictive and a slight tint of scruffiness behind that makes you wanna know more. It is youthful and flirty at the same time as it has a confident maturity to it. It is not the bottle I reach for the most in the collection, yet in 2,5 years wearing it (or even just sniffing it) has never stopped being totally uplifting!

I'm wearing this today and wow. It's just 10am and i've already gotten several compliments that I smell amazing. I work in the medical field so I have to be careful about being too overbearing with my fragrance but so far everyone has loved this one. I wish I could find a dupe for it but so far i haven't had much luck. I read that some thought it reminded them of Jimmy choo jimmy choo edp and I have that as well. It is similar but it has a little something more, like a bright something in there that jimmy choo doesn't have. I love both though.

This is so pretty. Definitely sweet (more syrupy than honeyed), definitely fruity (tart, delicious, and juicy), but I also find this extremely classy. I wore this when shopping for my wedding ring and also on my wedding day (cold winter day) and I loved how it made me feel: regal and ultra-feminine while still being youthful and flirty. I think it’s the ginger/mandarin/quince, i.e., the absence of red fruits/berries, that makes this more sophisticated than many mainstream designer fragrances to me. Shines in cooler weather. 5/5 love it.

Glad to have added this one to my collection. Juicy and slightly sweet fruits in the top, and though the note isn't listed, I get a little white peach on top of the pear and quince. Has this slightly indolic jasmine quality to it that allows it to power through some of the cooler days of spring and autumn. Amazing lasting power on my skin--don't even get me started on my clothes. At this point in time, I prefer this to the extrait version and find it to be lighter, more uplifting, and a great dumb reach for most of the year.

Fruity opening and tart but sweet, I also pick up on the patchouli right away. It’s strong. It reminds me of Juicy Couture Gold but a gazillion times better. The opening is so similar Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia intense, the one in the dark pink bottle. Once the opening is done, the mid is sweet from the florals and I don’t detect the quince anymore unless it’s covered in powdered sugar. The dry down lingers for a few hours, probably due to the patchouli. It smells like floral powdered sugar on my wrist 😍

Sweet, sparkly, and fruity with a warm earthy patchouli base. I kept trying to place the scent all day, and it finally clicked... It reminds me so much of Jimmy Choo EDP. That same juicy, playful sweetness blended with a patchouli floral depth that gives it sophistication. It feels elegant yet approachable , like a grown up version of a flirty fruity perfume. Long lasting with great sillage, it leaves a soft, luminous trail that lingers beautifully.
