Silver Ceremony

Anyone saying this smells like Tygar or Vibrato is lying and hasn't gotten their nose on this. Is smell absolutely nothing like those fragrances. You can just ignore them. It's not that DNA scent profile at all. Typical users spamming as usual on this site. It's a gorgeous scent. The oud you get hit with upon initial spray is a sexy non animalic oud. I don't have anything like this in my collection. It doesn't perform as well as the other two in the collection, but this and Paradisio are the only two worth your time imo. Get a sample ASAP!

Really like this one a lot. Interesting reading some of the comments and then looking at the associations. It is like niche Boss Bottled Beyond. Nothing Vibrato or Tygar here, folks. I sense a more refined version of Mancera Intense Cedrat Boise minus the sourness. It seems like a niche version of a niche fragrance to me. And I love me some Intense Cedrat Boise, but this is much more refined. And I agree with @zetsumetsu there is a slight metallic twinge here, too, that actually adds to its appeal for me....

Second time wearing this and I'm struggling to see the comparison with vibrato/tygar. Some notes might be similar but they do not remind me of each other. Still getting to know the scent but the opening is a rindy, lemon citrus and also leather right up front, so a bright citrus & dark leather / labdanum simultaneously. As it dries down the woods become more prominent but the citrus lasts a surprisingly long time throughout the duration of the fragrance

This is a beautiful summer fragrance, it reminds me a little bit of Victoria Beckham portofino 97 but way smoother less scratchiness. For the longevity and sillage I can’t say much about it for the moment, I just tried it couple of hours ago.

Great fragrance. It has a beautiful citrus opening and then the dry down and a warm Oud. It last all day in skin and week on clothes.

Opens bright and citrusy like Tygar and Vibrato but with a subtler ginger, dries down to a woody base that highlights oud.

This is mix of tygar and afternoon swim with amazing performance.

Silver Ceremony from BDK Parfums by Perfumer Jordi Fernández is a rich citrus oud fragrance. The initial opening is very bright citrus with the oud present from the start. The mid brings about a dryer woody facet with the citrus oud accord carrying through for an extended length of time due to the high concentration of perfume oils. This has Jordi's signature all over it from the citrus notes to the citrus oud accord and patchouli. On my skin the drydown becomes rather earthy which I would attribute to the cypriol and patchouli combination. I can see how some people are reminded of Vibrato/Tygar...I can even sense The Hedonist/Hedonist Extrait with Silver Ceremony since they are also Perfumed by Fernández. This is another long lasting citrus fragrance to check out if that's your type of stank.

The citrus is a little too sharp/synthetic and it ventures into cleaning product territory. The oud is there, folks, so be warned. It's actually pretty balanced and nice but definitely noticeable. At first I was like I know I've smelled something similar to this before and I finally found it--Eros Energy. Their citrus notes, which dominate, are similar. But they both have some nice stuff going on under the surface. They're not the same but they have a similar enough vibe that I wouldn't own both and would probably default to the cheaper option. Does NOT smell like the Vibrato/Tygar DNA.

While this fragrance features citrus /oud/ ginger/patchouli notes that might lead you to expect a profile similar to Bvlgari’s Tygar or Sospiro’s Vibrato, I strongly disagree with those comparisons. Tygar and Vibrato are polished, vibrant, and well-executed scents with a signature zesty opening. Silver Ceremony, by contrast, lacks any of that initial sparkle. The opening is a muted, flat lemon that quickly transitions into dry woods coated in a muddy, musty accord. To my nose, the composition feels unfinished I am genuinely confused by the direction they took with this release.

If I am completely honest with you this is kind of a boring new release that, while smelling nice, just nothing spectacular about it. I will say it has potential to rival the likes of Tygar and Vibrato it's not as interesting to my nose as they are. I do completely agree with @mindzy that the profile on paper is almost misleading, there is an initial burst of of ginger that is very reminiscent of the two but after that this opens up and dries into a more orange forward, wood and musk smell which is admittedly very nice to smell.

Silver Ceremony is for oud lovers who want something fresh, not for citrus lovers who want something dark. It is a bit funky and animalic in the dry down.

Gorgeous. Unisex. Fresh with a hint of darkness and spices. Ginger is very prominent alongside the citrusy notes.

This is very curious, with a metallic sheen that gives off a chilled haze. It's VERY diffusive, and the sillage is mind-blowing! Having said that, the scent is familiar, albeit done really masterfully, probably the smoothest of the fragrances in this genre as far as I've smelled those. I'd say it's a second cousin of Vibrato from the ginger side of the family, but they took on completely different lifestyles and drifted apart early on :) Another interesting thing is that the ginger dries down to something sour-ish, which aligns well with the citrus in the drydown vs. the fresh/sparkly citrus up top. The oud tricks my brain toward Oud Cadenza, but the coolness and the sour citrus base make that illusion kinda short-lived. So, if you wear Oud Cadenza in fall/winter evenings, this goes on great in spring/summer evenings! I'd still would not grab this to go into a scorching hot summer day! Once again, the transitions are VERY SMOOTH and ENJOYABLE, so it's the new "blue" kid on the block!

I was looking forward to sampling this one the most out of the three new extraits, the note breakdown looks great but unfortunately on my skin it was disappointing. It opens with a blast of lemon and ginger but instead of a nice fruity citrus it just comes off as synthetic lemon juice and quite sour, it could use more orange/grapefruit to help sweeten it up just a little. There is a nice oud in the background but it can't overcome the flat & sour lemon/ginger opening. The oud is very nice, slightly medicinal but not overly funky nor barnyard smelling. Two hours in the dry down is much better than the opening, the oud & labdanum combine to form a nice woody and slightly animalic leathery feel. This one sits closer to the skin but does have a light/moderate projection. Not worth sitting thru the harsh opening though to justify a full bottle purchase. Definitely sample before purchasing this one.

Pretty citrus and oud combo. Unisex, but leans a bit masculine to me. Smells rather expensive, and oud is light and not skanky. Far in the dry down I detect some metallic or some fresh printed paper like notes.

In the air it’s pretty much tygar extrait but up close it gets very oudy. Not really my cup of tea.

In simple description: this is Tygar with more oud in drydown.

What a complete disappointment! Anyone saying this smells like Tygar, Vibrato, The Hedonist etc, and anyone voting it as a summer scent is just guessing from notes. Silver Ceremony is faintly similar to Tygar Extrait, with the animalic ambergris replaced by a safer (and less animalic) fake oud accord and leathery labdanum, and the juicy grapefruit replaced by a very flat and fleeting lemony top. What's left for the rest of the scent journey is basically a ginger bomb with cedar and westernized oud. If you sweat while wearing this on a hot day, you are going to smell like you had Indian takeout last night and spilled lemon juice on your body this morning. Will retest in the fall, but for now this is just like you skipped showering and oversprayed L'Immensite a few hours ago. Too heavy on the ginger, the citrus is too boring and just lurks in the background. Doesn't smell cheap, but it carries an overall feel of a middle eastern clone that was rushed to market. It probably lasts more than 8 hours, but in a tiresome manner. If you try this out and like it, at least check out Tygar Extrait and Town & Country before getting a bottle.

Not a safe blind buy. I took the risk and regret it. I purchased the 100 ml thinking that if Gris Charnel Extrait was incredible, BDK’s new stuff would be too. I was wrong. The opening is a screechy, fake citrus, and the dry‐down is just... odd. It doesn’t smell like anything in particular, just a weird, flat nothing. It’s not a beast by any means, but it does hang around as a skin scent. Fragrance is subjective, of course - but seriously, smell this in person before you spend the money.

Nothing of Vibrato or Tygar. It has marine and maybe metallic notes.

Much as Decimo by Gritti presents itself as a most intriguing, smokier interpretation of the Aventus archetype, this fragrance strikes me as little more than a flat, faintly smoked union of the Vibrato and Tygar accord. It is exceedingly modest, almost painfully elementary, and I have oft observed that many younger houses approach this particular olfactory theme in precisely such a fashion, constrained as they are by limited means and the inability to procure finer raw materials. Yet what astonishes me beyond measure is that Jordi Fernández should have set his hand to something so remarkably ordinary. Such simplicity sits ill with a perfumer of his standing. The bottle itself, together with its colour and chosen appellation, is nothing short of splendid—indeed, it promises a composition of uncommon distinction. Alas, the fragrance contained therein does not justify the expense, the elegance of its presentation, nor, I dare venture, even the dignity of its name. One cannot help but inquire: what, pray, was the guiding intention behind this creation? I confess myself entirely at a loss. It is a fragrance of singular plainness, possessing but the faintest trace of smoky character, and bearing all the hallmarks of an endeavour executed with lamentably little inspiration or ambition. Given the noble title bestowed upon it, I had anticipated a touch of enchantment—some novel flourish, some unexpected refinement. Instead, I found myself sorely disappointed. Nevertheless, I remain eager to sample the remaining two compositions in the collection, for it may yet be that one of them shall prove a true bull's-eye and redeem the promise that this offering so conspicuously failed to fulfil.

Picked up Silver Ceremony on a bit of a whim when BDK dropped their new Absolu de Parfum line. Wasn't sure what to expect — "absolu" concentration can go either way, sometimes it just makes everything heavier than it needs to be. This one doesn't do that. It opens cold. Like genuinely cold — there's an aldehyde-and-grapefruit thing happening that reads almost metallic, kind of like the smell of air-conditioned air mixed with something expensive. It's distinctive without being weird. Within 20-30 minutes cedar and iris settle in and that's kind of where it lives for a while. Clean, slightly powdery but not old-school powdery. More like dry and refined. Dry-down is calm. Vetiver and amberwood underneath, nothing dramatic. After a few hours this sits close to skin and if you're expecting beast mode longevity you won't find it here — it's more of a personal scent, intimate rather than projecting. I actually don't mind that for something this polished. One thing — if you're comparing this to Stellar Silk or Oud Paradisio from the same line, Silver Ceremony is easily the most wearable year-round but also the least "wow" out of the three on first spray. Grows on you though. Worth trying if you're into understated French niche — the kind of fragrance that doesn't announce itself but people still notice. BDK Silver Ceremony review-wise, I'd put it at a solid 4/4.5 out of 5. Me puse en lista de espera desde ya ... hate una compra a ciegas por y para tener apenas salga que será el 18 de Mayo , me encanta la pirámide olfattiva de Stellar Silk , adoro como está compuesta y ya por eso sé que me gustará y por eso está compra a ciegas. Y obviamente el Oud Paradiso sí que será una sorpresa y me asusta , pero con BDK nunca nada puede salir mal . Creo y hablo por mi , nadie me paga , me compro mis perfumes sola y esto es completamente honesto y mi punto de vista . Para mí BDK es una de las mejores casas de perfumes junto con a Maison Crivelli , no se equivoca nunca . Crean joyas olfativas y para muestra un botón con IMPADIA , voy por mi tercer pote y bolsillo permitiendo jamás saldrá de mi colección . Ahora bien de ese trío el que menos llama ni atención y solo pediré una muestra de él es Silver Ceremony , ya veremos cuando pueda comprarlos aquí en EE.UU , y pueda pedir la muestra de este último ... capaz y sea el que más me guste y el que me sorprenda en positivo . Pero los otros dos se y estoy segura que me van a gustar y que los voy a amar . Its impressively well blended, the top zesty notes are in total harmony with the woody base , it comes off fresh and solid at same time , perfect for summer evening dates .. im not sure if it unisex but im a woman and definitely considering it. Lets compare to "remind me of" list - BDK is much more woody than Tygar , tygar has more ginger and more versatile for all seasons - BDK is less zingy and more rounded than Immagination , immagination is more of uplifting day time scent whereas BDK is more summer evening due to its dark base

To me this smells like a Maison Crivelli take on the tygar/vibrato/ingenious DNA, beautiful ginger, bergamot and grapefruit with a subtle oud in the base, of first sniff I’m just getting a smoother tygar with a subtle oud, Will come back to this later and give an in depth review

This is similar to STH Sea My Love. However, Silver opens with a brighter citrus note before transitioning into a marine, salty, metallic dry-down with a subtle touch of leather, much like Sea My Love.

This is a citrusblast with a drydown of LV Sur la Route! It's neither silver nor a ceremony. A cocktail that ends up in the grass, with a hint of Peru balsam/oud!

Why are there so many Vibrato/Tygar comparisons. This smells more like Acqua Di Gio and comes off quite metallic on my skin. Very eh release tbh

Panda dora - forever love / Afternoon Swim type of profile. Not bad, but redundant I feel if you own either of the two.

This has a very painful calone smell with the whole tygar grapefruit thing going on. Honestly very disappointed
