Villa Néroli

I came here to write the exact same thing A.Bandini says below. It opens super generic (which was why I didn't buy it on the spot), but throughout the day I kept smelling this comforting, beautiful, and romantic scent. I finally realized it came from my wrist where I tried this. I couldn't convince myself for the price it asks for, but after looking for and testing other neroli scents, none came close to this for me. I tried Nerolia Vetiver by Guerlain, the dry down is just not as good as Villa Neroli. While all Neroli forward perfume tend to smell the same, Villa Neroli has a distinguished dry down so give it some time to develop. The dry down is unique and to die for.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Petit grain and neroli are two of my absolute favorite notes in perfumery and they are both found in this. I love this so much! It is as if I was standing in Neroli heaven. It doesn’t project excessively but I am in a nice bubble and it makes me happy! Very floral and to be more precise white flowers overload. I’d say if you aren’t a big fan of white flowers (neroli, orange blossom etc, stay away)... Eventually, I’ll get a full bottle of this one. It’s expensive but hey, personally, I believe it is worth each penny 😬😬😬 Definitely not safe blind buy. I am super grateful I got to sample it first. Full bottle here I come, at some point!

This perfume is definitely worth the price. It starts quite citrusy as the notes show, then the white florals of neroli and orange blossom make it sweet and airy, finally it concludes with a vanillic woody scent with the vetiver and cashmeran duo. When I first tried it I thought it only lasted 2 or so hours, but the more I use it the longer it lasts. Nose blindness is real. I think this is a summer fragrance, but it's even better on cooler summer days. Today, I realized it's at its best on a rainy summer day, where it alternates between rain and sun every hour.

The evolution is what leaves you mesmerized. Good start with delicious natural notes, however the initial citrus presence could be misleading. The first time I tried it, in Rome, it was a spray of a tester. I didn't care, good but nothing special. After 20 min/1 hr everything changed. The sweet scent of neroli, romantic, soft, pandering, is poetic and the citrus disappears to make room for the white flowers. Now for spring and summer I can't wear anything else. It's a motorbike ride one night in April/May between Eze and Menton.

It's nice! Neroli and amber are quite strong here, which creates a very nostalgic, rich floral memory, reminiscent of Nana's potpourri on the bathroom counter. Orange blossom and a sprinkle of vanilla add freshness and comfort. The dry down feels like being wrapped in a huge fluffy comforter on a sunny, crisp late summer morning and watching the shadows move across the ceiling. I wouldn't consider this the most unique or profound neroli, but god I love it so much anyways.

A beautiful creamy neroli. I've been on a hunt for a neroli dominant perfume that doesn't smell like laundry detergent and isn't drowned in marshmallows. This one so far is the best neroli fragrance I've tried. It is very prominently a white floral, while being warm and cozy. I'm always worried about vanilla dominating the white florals - it does not dominate in this one, it remains a supporting character. Full bottle worthy.

Lovely neroli and ambroxan and vanilla combo that’s really all I get and in the dry down a hint of cashmere which gives a woody sandlewood element maybe that’s a hint of the moss as well. Dry down think another 13 with a neroli. Its great and I can see this would pair nicely with a vanilla to amp up the vanilla or a cocao even to mimic a chocolate almond with orange blossom/neroli. But keep it summer appropriate.

Wow this one is amazing and so different from your typical eau de cologne. It’s very photorealistic and creamy. The lady’s love it and gotten multiple compliments and people asking me what I’m wearing. It leans very unisex and projects and last like crazy even after a shower. Such a clean white shirt jean scent. Confident and clean is what it evokes when I wear this masterpiece

My favourite summer neroli. Maybe one of my favourite fragrances ever. It is so natural, Feminine, Well blended. I need a little sweetness en warmth in the summer and Villa Neroli gives that. It is not just a fresh neroli, it has this warm base. The vanilla in here is so nice... I think I could wear it all year round, if only to keep the summer memories alive. WELL done BDK!

Feels like a fresh towel that it’s given to you in a luxury resort at the moment you arrive. Absolutely beautiful blend of citrus and flowery notes, neroli is the protagonist in this fragrance. You can’t go wrong wearing this on any summer day. Projection is decent but longevity is perfect, wasn’t expecting this from a very fresh scent

Screw the longevity and the projection, this is an amazing scent that is very clean and floral. As a dude, I pull this off quite nice but I can see it being too feminine for some. Recomend a smell before the buy though

I tried it. It was super nice, I fell in love with the clean, soft, sensual, comforting smell. It lasts 6 hrs on my skin. It's beautiful and it feels very me. However, for 170 euros? I'm simply not convinced.

My favorite neroli fragrance, and my current overall favorite! Perfect for summer, with the green neroli smell, with a cleanness added with the orange blossom and a sweet dry down! Unbelievably underrated!!

Smells very very similar to Killian love don’t be shy, just not as sweet. The longevity is amazing, I sprayed it on myself 6 hours ago and still leaving a scent trail.

Beautiful fresh florals for summertime.

Out of the three summer time scents, the ones contained in those beautiful bright blue bottles from the Azur Collection this is the better one. Still not worth the price for being such a light, subtle kind of scent... It smells like neroli indeed. A nice, balanced neroli with petit grain, not smelling soapy or cheap. Neroli is the forefront plus some other slightly green white flowers, maybe orange blossom, lots of petit grain, some cashmeran and vanilla. I would say that it leans more feminine since it’s so white floral forward. I would buy Villa Neroli for summer time wear if I would not have so many of this kind already in my collection and most of them come cheaper. But only for half of price or something close to that! I really like this blue bottles... You’re better off with the new launch from Guerlain’s Harvest collection, Nerolia Vetiver if you’re into an expensive neroli scent. That’s one is better smelling, way sweeter than Villa Neroli and cheaper!

I'm wearing this today after initially dismissing it as too feminine a few months ago, when I first sprayed it on paper. I sprayed it again on paper a few days ago and was surprised by how green and citrusy it was. Usually there is something about Neroli-Orange blossom combinations that really puts me off - like a childhood memory I can't quite recall, but here thanks to green accents I'm actually really enjoying it and I think for a white floral it's actually super unisex and wearable for a man (yes I know scents don't have genders). A lot are commenting that the sillage is lacking, but after wearing a few hours I think it's doing pretty nicely, and I feel like I'm wearing the perfume, rather than the perfume is wearing me. Not sure if I'll get a full bottle yet, but it's definitely growing on me.

I mainly smell neroli and orange blossom in this, but I get a lot of vanilla, ambroxan and cashmeran in the dry down later on. I like this fragrance, but I wish that the vanilla, ambroxan and cashmeran were used with a slightly lighter hand. The cashmeran and ambroxan gives Villa Neroli a slightly too synthetic smell and the vanilla eclipses the orange blossom and neroli slightly towards the end. The sillage is about moderate on me and its longevity is pretty good, clocking in at about 8 hours on my skin. I'd call it a spring/summer fragrance that you could throw on during the day and I feel like this fragrance leans slightly feminine. All in all, I'd give Villa Neroli by BDK a 7.5/10. It's certainly nice, but not quite nice enough for me to whip out my credit card though.

Beautiful blend of neroli and orange blossom. The rest are supporting characters on my skin, but there’s this sweet base that gives it more body than a regular freshie. It’s a serene stay at a luxury hotel, sitting poolside under the sun. This is the brightness I expect when I see mimosa as a note in other perfumes. It’s so perfectly fresh and very photorealistic to me. I really can imagine sniffing fresh flowers with this one. Full sized this one and I love it, it’s just a perfectly fresh and sweet blend of neroli and orange blossom. The base is so creamy and sweet I wonder if there’s vanilla in there. I think because of that strong base, it’s suitable for colder weather as well. Careful not to overspray or it will turn syrupy.

Interesting. I’m a hard sell with neroli and orange blossom. They generally smell either like soap, overly masculine or like sickly sweet concoctions. This one opens for me with a very natural green petitgrain note over rather honeyed orange blossoms and neroli that softens and the green mossy notes and patchouli in the base push up and shine through. It’s far more natural smelling than I expected and very enjoyable. I’m not convinced mid winter (even a mild one) is the ideal time wear this but I’m very pleased with its direction as I tend to avoid this scent profile. The nicest of this genre I’ve found and I’ll explore my sample more as it heats up. I’ll edit post that.

Very decent execution of neroli and slight amber theme. It smells real nice within the theme but such as the case with Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino, it's up to people to spill that much money for this common theme. Still more value for money than Neroli Portofino imo since this is quite long lasting and warm amber drydown is comforting. Slightly feminine-leaning unisex. Worth trying if you'd like a quality warm neroli scent. The closest to this is Boucheron's Neroli d'Ispahan.

This bottle feels like the answer to how to create a near-perfect neroli fragrance. The ratio of vanilla, the neroli–orange blossom balance, the citrus accompaniment; everything feels whole, seamless, and never overbearing. With most fragrances in this category, there was always something that left me unsatisfied at some point. For neroli lovers, the name is appropriate! 100% unisex, for all the family members. Very fresh and clean, perfect for spring and summer. Same vibe of Tomboy Neroli by Parle moi de parfums, Flamenco Neroli by Orchestre Parfums, Neroli Oranger by Matière Première, Irresistible Neroli by Nino Amaddeo... Versatile, easy to wear, easy to love. Linear, office compatible. Original? Not really but this perfume has a good quality of ingredients.

Very similar to Neroli Portofino in a sense. Same vibe, similar smell, more creamy and without the musk. Unisex. Very clean and comforting, far from being a unique scent but it's still very pleasant and executed well

This feels like a bicycle ride through citrus groves. Every so often, incense from a temple is carried on the breeze. I really like this one. It’s light-hearted but with enough depth to not be insipid.

Citrus-fresh start, then flowery honey sweetness. Suitable as an everyday fragrance. Longevity and sillage unfortunately leave a lot to be desired.

Really lovely citrus and neroli, if a bit sunscreeny. Reminds me of 28° by Ormaie.

Nice citrusy neroli scent for summer, unisex, 5-6 hours of longevity but generic and unoriginal, nothing interesting going on in here, just meh. I'll enjoy my sample, not gonna buy a bottle. I'd prefer FM's Carnal Flower as a unisex summer fragrance instead of this one, much more original, worths the price.

This has a nice interesting opening but it becomes boring pretty quickly—within an hour. Try this one if you really love neroli but otherwise you can skip. I have tried a few from BDK without success EXCEPT Rouge Smoking is a straight up MASTERPIECE. Rich and velvety and unique.

I have a feeling that I’ve smelled this before, very universal woody floral thing that’s too feminine to be masculine and too masculine to be feminine. It lacks a “spark”, it’s not sexy, very boring :(

Gorgeous powdery neroli opening but after an 1-2 hrs the ambroxan dials way up, at least on my skin, and can feel overwhelming/ trigger a headache. Pass.

Powdery neroli and citrus peel in the opening the vanilla begins to settle in the dry down creating a powdery sunscreen type scent 7.8/10

A flowery synthetic vanilla scent with a very short lived neroli top note

Wore this twice. The first time it was nice and I liked it. The second time which only a few days later was a significantly hotter day (90s) and I was outdoors the whole time. The second time as soon as I sprayed it it was giving a strong note reminiscent of urine. Animal or human I can’t even say, but it was there. This was one spray from a tester. I’ve never had a fragrance turn on me like that. Full disclosure, I had D&G Light Blue Forever on as a base fragrance when I left the house. I used the tester maybe 2-3 hours later? Both have the Neroli/citrus notes so I thought it would be fine. I grabbed the VN sample as I was running out the door as a touch up “refresher” frag and I Idk if it was the weather or the heat but I’ll never take that risk with this one again. Thank God it was only a sample. After the first time I wore it I was thinking I wanted a bottle. 🙅🏼♀️ Not a safe blind buy. Unless you want to smell like a urinal with a bouquet of flowers in it. Yum. 🤢

That’s the 4th perfume from BDK that “smells like X perfume from X famous brand”. It’s TF’s Neroli Portofino but a bit cheaper in price, but still pricey for what you get. Not my type of scent anyways, I thought it would be a fresher, original and a unique neroli. ____ Sillage & Longevity : 4/10 Originality : 0/10 Quality & Value : 1/10 1.5/10

I love neroli, orange blossom, citruses, and the scent of this was so nice yesterday in the shop and on the blotter. A bit like orange hard candy, but more sophisticated. Nothing terribly inventive, just really, really nice. Anyway, today I tried it on my skin and within half an hour or so it was pretty much gone.

I get jasmin together with neroli and incense which make me think of Buddhist funeral and that smell of fragrances they use during the cermonies. It's not bad scent but I just can't shake of the hint of decay that get also. Washed it off after 30 minutes.

After trying on skin and forgetting completely how it smelled aside from thinking I liked it, I bought this. Citrus Riviera I remember liking better, but it didn’t have the longevity this did on me. The comparisons to Tom Ford Neroli Portofino are completely unfounded. In fact, I don’t even pick up much neroli. This smells much more like tuberose or some similar white floral. It drove me crazy before I finally figured out what this smells like that I can’t believe no one has mentioned: Armani Prive Vert Malachite. I sprayed each on opposite wrists, and they are remarkably similar. Vert Malachite is a bit sharper and performs far better, however. Vert Malachite is the father, and Villa Neroli is the more timid son. This is a little more versatile. Speaking of gender, this is unisex, leaning slightly feminine. I think it’s better in mild to warm weather. The bottle is overall high quality with an amazing sprayer and cap. The label is a bit cheap. For the $111.50 I got mine from Maxaroma, it’s about worth that, but I wouldn’t spend any more. I was tempted even to return it, as I think there are several other fragrances I own that I often prefer over this. I don’t think it’s very blind-buy safe personally. I don’t think the reviews did the best job describing it. Update: I like it better now.

I liked this on paper. On skin the base with patchouli, resins, vanilla, vetiver, oakmoss, and cashmeran is slightly too thick and bitter in the opening. Do you know what that opening reminds me of? Quattro Pizzi by Xerjoff. The base lightens up in the drydown with the sweetness of the rose mid notes emerging with the vanillic orange blossom. The orange blossom in this smells authentic and high quality with a "hay-like" accord, so I don't get any tuberose like reviewers below. I will keep testing this to see if I can wear in warm Summer weather, as it may be better for cooler months due to the thick base.

I get the romantic side of this fragrance. Very carefree fragrance, and smooth as well. Nothing to much to say here. You can find this on discount. Those who have missed Killian Sweet Redemption might like this one but it’s not a muster or sweet as that one. Also I think this compares to Xerjoff Kobe a little bit, which I think BDK is better in regards to price. There are many scents out there for a neroli forward you just have to find the one for you. This one for me is a winner, although I think I might need to try Kobe once more to be truly confident in my answer.

Bdk really has its' own DNA that i really love. I heard it is cashmeran that they use. IMO their citrusy line is not tipical summery, rather all year round and cozy citruses. Villa Nerolli is very pleasant and creamy scent, somehow i wouldn't even classify it as a citrusy scent. It is sweet neroli, leaning a bit to the feminine side comparing to Citrus Riviera that is leaning masculine. Sel d'argent is kind of tropical, also cozy, salty unisex scent, but also leaning slightly to the feminine side. BDK is slowly climbing to the top of my favorite brands list.

I've never neen a big fan of fresh scent, but if there's only one fragrance that i could buy, and wear for the rest of my life, it would definitely be this! Sprayed this during lunch time at a perfume store before an event that I'm working at during the time, the scent lingers for hours, and hours. You know how most clean scent only lasts 2-4 hours? This one lasted till the end of my shift, and mid way, the scent actually got stronger. Fell in love with neroli because of this perfume, and the longevity convinced me to actually got a bottle for myself!

I've tried numerous neroli fragrances, and this one is by far the best. It's sweet, calm, and sunny, making it perfect for breakfast or brunch at your favorite café, a day in the sun, or a sunset walk by the sea. It smells like vacation, an expensive one. The vanilla wonderfully complements the green and white tones, while hints of vetiver, patchouli, and rose are perfectly balanced. Definitely full bottle worthy.

Villa Neroli has quickly become of my top 5 favorite spring & summer daytime scents. I tried all 3 in the Azur collection and Villa Neroli was the stand-out on my skin. It’s a perfect combination of citrus and vanilla with, on my skin, the floral sitting very, very quietly in the background. The longevity is an anomaly IMO for a citrus fragrance as other reviewers have noted, where I am getting 5-6 hours.

Fresh, yet a dense slightly sunscreeny neroli... towards dry down there is a heavy vanillay ambroxan like scent combained with that beautiful neroli. Smells so luxurious. Like a vacation in a way. It’s very vanillic clean/musky at the dry down. Love. smells like you’ve been at a hot beach all day at the same time , but no yellow florals or coconut in this to do that.

I'm one of those people that pick up that corn tortilla scent in certain fragrances. I'm not sure what note it is exactly, but I do smell it in this. That doesn't me I don't like it, this is a lovely fragrance. The dry down is very very good. That tortilla smell fades and what is left is an addicting aroma. Very nice fragrance!

Candied orange, neroli, tuberose, caramel and a (albeit heavy) beautiful amber accord, similar to something like Casamorati 1888 with its clove, cinnamon and balsam accord. Surprisingly deep and complex! An (initially) fresher fall/winter scent, could also work in spring.

A subdued citrus comes through in the top notes. I like this because there is no hint of citrus cleaning products, a common thing that turns me away from citrus fragrances. The vanilla rounds the fragrance, giving a depth and warmth. Very pleasant for warm summer days.

It is a beautifully blended neroli centric fragrance with a warm enveloping bourbon vanilla finish. Totally reminds me of TF Neroli Portofino and Eight and Bob Memories of Mustique. A great and refreshingly unique third alternative to those two.
