First Kiss

For those wondering, this is an interpretation of Delina by Parfums de Marly. First kiss is smooth, creamy, and a very close match with a little less tartness and a sweeter powder. The bottle in my opinion is lovlier than PdM's line...which reminds me of opaque Bath and Body Works lotion bottles from the early 2000's. I'd rather display my layered perfumes on my dresser. I now own a travel spray of Delina (PdM), Lady Diana (Alexandria Fragrances) and First Kiss (Be Layered) so I could see how well they performed. Original Delina: Plush, bright, citrus notes with rhubarb in the opening, blush roses, vanilla powder, and incense. Lady Diana: More intense opening but not as bright. 95% similar. Slightly better sillage than First Kiss. First Kiss: No citrus detected, more powder in the opening, sweeter overall, more distinct lychee, wears less intense than Lady Diana but same intensity as Delina. 90% similar. Edit: It was confirmed that First Kiss and Lady Diana are identical, so what I experienced must be due to one being a little older and more settled. That settles that! These are all my personal opinion, but I hope it helps you!

This is very, very much a dupe of Delina (please see my review of it). This however opens with a sharper, more pungent rhubarb and slightly more chemical scent in the first 5 minutes. It dries down considerably though, and becomes even sweeter than Delina. The gourmand notes seem more amplified, but Delina has a *slight* edge in quality. FK is a tad bit more unrefined. To anyone not literally basking in it personally (bystanders), I think they'd be indistinguishable. You'd only really notice the discrepancy if you huffed the fragrance, which I have. After hours of wear I still get wafts of it when I move around, and it's addictive. I know perfume is terrible for hair, but I can't help but spray it into my hairline and the back of my neck, it's absolutely perfect for that and trails around like a beautiful beast. The longevity is spectacular!

Youtuber Simply Chic Life reviewed this as a duplicate for Delina made by Parfums de Marly. Everybody raves about Delina so I thought I'd try the dup, since it's supposed to be so close and much more affordable. I love the dup! Never having smelled Delina, I don't know what it smells like and I'm not sure that I care. First Kiss smells so good and lasts so long, is the original really necessary? It smells like the Delina bottle looks, soft, pink and beautiful. It's good for day, evening, romance, everything and I do love it. It makes me also look at other Be Layered fragrances as the quality is so high. This is a wonderful, soft and feminine parfum, do not hesitate to blind buy. It's quite unique too. I normally like the deeper, darker scents and I love this one because it is so soft and something I can add to my collection.

I recently received my first order of Be Layered. It consisted of 55ml First Kiss and 10ml F@ck Me. I have never smelled Delina but I do own Paco Rabanne Olympea so was surprised that First Kiss smelled A LOT like Olympea whereas F@ck Me does not. I thought F@ck Me was supposed to smell like Olympea. I wrote the company and they mentioned that the formulas need a week or two to macerate but it's been a week and I still smell what I did when I first opened both bottles. It's unfortunate because I really do like the way F@ck Me smells and it is very different from my other scents. I am fairly certain that my order was not completed correctly but am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with their order.

To me, this is a really good dupe considering the price. Like 95 % dupe. The DNA of Delina is present. To me, the main differences are found in the opening : there is in First Kiss a citrusy note (like citronella as someone said) that I do no smell in Delina. Fortunately, It does not last too long. Regarding the other difference, compared side by side, Delina smells more refined and sophisticated to me. The lasting power is great with FK (but it lasts longer on clothes though). Honestly it is a good dupe for this price. The only donwside is that weird citronella note in the opening but it disappears after several minutes).
