Mia's Blend

So I bought this from someone, so I hadn't read where it's a dupe for myrrh and tonka. I sprayed myself and immediately realized I knew this scent, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. I looked it up n saw the notes, still not catching in. It wasn't until I read the comments that I understood y I recognized it, I LOVE myrrh and tonka, it's one of my favorite winter scents. I have a bottle of m&t, but it's getting low. So I'm glad to have this. And I was able to compare them side by side. I. Usually impressed with layered and Alexandria fragrances. They usually smell great, very close to the og. They have great performance too. Long lasting and good projection. This one's no exception. It's beautiful, and incredibly close to the original. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys m&t. It's unisex, but still has an ambery sweetness to it. Absolute classic.

Had a sample of this in the be layered discovery kit n 2020 and absolutely hated it! Lol months later-- more like a year later, I'm head over heels with the scent. It totally reminds me of Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka Intense and I'm going to invest in a F/B. The frag is comforting, kind of smokey (in a sexy, Insense way) the warmth of the tonka and herbaceousness of the Myrrh is very sexy! Performs well in cold weather! I encourage to try before u buy!

One of my favourite winter scents. Like being wrapped up in a blanket drinking bourbon hunkered down in a cabin in the forest somewhere. Personally like it better than JM Myrhh and Tonka, better value too

This is almost exactly the same as Myrrh & Tonka by Jo Malone. Both are incredibly beautiful. Incense, powder and a smidge of lavender. Pure heaven!!!

This one really grew on me. I had it for a few months before deciding to really give it a chance and its actually really nice. Its very comforting somehow. Especially in the cooler months. Which is the only time I reach for it. Maybe the lavender and vanilla? But theres a lot of incense as well. So in my opinion you have to be ok with incense to enjoy this perfume. Otherwise youre more than likely not going to care for it. If you like the lavender and vanilla pairings of Mon Guerlain or Libre Intense and dont mind incense then this could be something you really like. I still wouldnt say its a love for me. Just a strong like. But it is unique to my collection. I cant think of a single perfume thats very similar to it. Also the longevity and sillage are great. I never have to overspray to continue smelling it on myself. And i normally have a lot of issues with that. So overall really impressed with performance. Its one i reach for when i want a perfume that I know ill actually be able to enjoy, rather than one ill spray and not be able to smell 15 minutes later. (Its amazing how often that happens. )

I've heard good things about Mia's Blend, especially from reviewers I really respect, so I was expecting good things from this perfume. And I'm not disappointed, it smells very nice. I smell the tonka bean most. It's sweet, a little creamy, a little powdery, and a really nice enveloping perfume. It's different from mainstream perfumes, but I also wouldn't call it unique. I feel like I have smelled this before in the drydown of other perfumes, maybe men's perfumes? Such as Midnight in Paris, etc. It's probably the sweet tonka/vanilla combo, even the powdery almond or slightly fresh lavender that makes me feel like I've smelled it before. When it dries down, it really smells like rootbeer on my skin, more so than Hypnotic Poison, which has other facets. I like it, it smells really nice, but after wearing it for a week, I feel a bit bored by it? I don't know how to explain - like it's lovely, it smells so nice, but it really is kind of like the drydown of a different perfume, missing some other notes and complexity. Testing from a 5 mL sample from the Be Layered Sample Set.

This is one of my favorite Be Layered fragrances - nothing groundbreaking, but it is super warm and cozy, and great for cool days or just before bed. I agree with reviewer artisy in that it smells a bit like rootbeer, but I credit the sharper, "lemony" note to Be Layered blending. All the fragrances have a slightly chemical smell when first applied, but it fades as the day goes on. Even if it didn't, I'd still prefer this over Jo Malone's Myrrh and Tonka, since the longevity is worlds better than the original.

I gravitate toward this occasionally. It was one of my first be layered frags. I find that their perfumes require being cured and this has only gotten better over time. Not to sound redundant as this has already been said...it’s nothing out of this world. Just a pleasant, incensey myrrh with vanilla. It’s in the same ballpark as Boyfriend from Kate Walsh, but sweeter.. Be layered fragrances seem to have longevity, but not as much projection as I would like...

The notes listed for this shock me, because I get almost none of them. On me, this goes straight from bug spray, to citronella candles. It at least starts to mellow out a bit in the dry down, when it warms up just enough for a bit of the jasmine to peek through, but this still ranks as a disappointment for me as by the point I even remotely start to like this, it's a skin scent. I'm loving many of my other testers from this company but Mia's Blend is a no for me. ETA: I finally see where everyone is coming from with the Hypnotic Poison comparisons, as the vanilla finally showed up, very very faintly, a couple of hours in. This has zero lasting power on my skin.

In a nutshell, this scent smells like flat root beer soured with lemon. It's just as confusing as that sounds. I thought for sure based on the notes and description this would be a winner for me but it just doesn't work at all. I will definitely wear this a few more times before ruling it out completely, but I am SO glad I went with a travel spray first. The myrrh wears very resinous and lemony.

Smells like nothing until you start to smell basic body spray from your teens. Not my fave unfortunately!

I love so many be layered perfumes. But when I tried this one for some reason I only got one smell. “Off deep woods mosquito repellent”. I hate saying that. But on my skin it would be cheaper if I liked the smell to go to Walmart and buy off. Lol..... however I do love many of their perfumes.

This was a really disappointing buy for me. From the notes and reviews, I was expecting this cozy and warm vibe. However, I can't get anything other than medical anti-septic wipes. That might be coming from Myrrh. I've seen a lot of comparisons to Hypnotic Poison and I personally think they're on opposite ends. HP is very warm. Mia's Blend is definitely an acquired taste.

When I ordered this, I didn’t realize it was a clone of Myrrh & Tonka. Dare I say, I like this just as well as M&T. This is not as smooth around the edges but it is brighter and sweeter. I had a sample of this and ordered a bottle when it was on sale, that’s how much I like it. I have to stop myself reaching for this, I could wear it everyday.

This, to me snells like a blend between Dior’s Hypnotic Poison and Guerlain’s Tonka Imperial. I just got it, and this is my first wear, so I may check in later if anything changes.
