Juniper Java

This one took me a bit. Generally fougeres aren’t my thing. But this one surprised me over time. At first sniff, it smelled like my bubble bath from when I was a kid. But I sprayed it on it changed a lot over a few minutes. From bubble bath to barber shop. It’s class in a bottle. When I think of a cool guy in Miami, just walking out of the barber shop this is what he smells like. It’s fresh in a soapy, earthy way. It’s definitely one of those 25+ fragrances. It’s classy, mature and fresh. Now the bonus here is if you end up owning both, you can layer them. It’s worth it. Layered you get that cool guy in Miami, but he’s just come back from the beach with a fruity drink and he’s about to get a straight razor shave. It’s the perfect combination.

If you want photorealistic juniper, this is as real as it gets. Juniper bomb makes me feel like I'm in the forest. Other dominant note are tea and oakmoss. Citrus is short lived. Very strong and feels like excellent quality and high concentration. Beast mode natural fragrance. This makes me feel like a lumberjack wearing this fragrance. I need to be in the mood to wear this. Very strong, spray with caution. Not wearable for most and not something you want to wear in public. You'll smell like you're covered in pine sap. Scent 6/10 Performance 9/10

Gnarly, pungent greenery. Overstated vetiver based fragrance.

I got a sample from Scent Split because juniper is one of my very favorite notes. This fragrance is so, so, so, so bad. As whatevewhocares aptly described ... gnarly and pungent. I grew up surrounded by juniper seed cone bearing trees. This does not smell anything like juniper berries/cones.

Absolutely hate Juniper so this one is a very hard pass for me.

This is definitely a barbershop style fragrance but what sticks out to me the most is the citrus note. It's a bitter kind of citrus that I pick up the entire life of the fragrance which is impressive for a citrus note. I also get juniper notes and some sandalwood in the background. This lasts all day and projects really well. If you like citrus and/or barbershop style fragrances you should get your nose on this one.
