Orris Florentina

... err.. I struggled a bit with this one. The orange and bergamot opening was promising, but it ended up on me in very 'powdery old lady' territory. In all fairness, my review is completely honest (always!) but I will temper this with a 'you maybe shouldn't just take my word for it' here: I know they are not well known here, but the Beauty Pie frags are much loved on their site, and this one is a firm fan favourite - I suspect it may be a skin chemistry thing. They do a mini travel bottle for £9.00 or several of their core scents, and if the profile appeals it is worth giving it a try.

When I first smelt this it reminded me of gucci flora edp (the original discontinued one) this differs though as its way more buttery (due to the orris?) I prefer the dry down on this. It's not a *love* for me, but I don't hate it. I definitely prefer it to gucci Flora! The blood orange and bergamot top notes give a slight mandarin orangey vibe that lasts longer than just a top note. If you like a slightly orangey floral you'll probably like it. On It's favour I can still smell it on my hand 3 1/2 hours later Wenden though I've washed my hands!!
