Bebe Luxe

I hope the pea note is noticeable, I'm really looking forward to testing this. Pea notes seem scarce in the perfume world, and especially at the price point for Bebe. Update: No Pea note so far... maybe if it macerates a little bit? I'll update again after a few weeks. (Also, I was expecting an iridescent white bottle based on the pictures I could find. It's just pink liquid.) Another update: somehow this reminds me of LouLou Blue. I really like it even though I still don't get "green peas" at all 😭

I am so so pleasantly surprised with this perfume! It’s so reminiscent of the Early and Mid 2000s (when I was a teen; I know, I’m showing my age lol!) but I’m usually very wary of mango notes and this one was done so well! The rose de mai and mango go together in such beautiful harmony. The pea is mildly noticeable in with the perfect amount to add to this fragrances scent. I really recommend this if you’re looking for a nice, y2k-like, easy every day wear.

I blind bought this for the perfume bottle! I figured even if it smelled bad it'd make for lovely room decor and I was right. For anyone wondering the bottle does not stand up, it's designed to lay flat. That being said, the scent itself is an interesting one. I feel like I can smell honey but it's not in the note breakdown, so maybe that's just how it works with my skin. It's unique and I cannot pinpoint any other perfumes that smell like this. It's very sweet, smells a little bit soapy and fresh. I usually hate soapy perfumes so it's not so soapy as to make me dislike it. It's very feminine. I don't get tropical AT ALL. I also don't feel like I will be reaching for this often but am interested to try layering this with other scents to see if I can make something wonderful. In all, not a bad purchase at all - I'm satisfied with it. Edit: Upon further research Rose de Mai apparently has a scent profile of pale honey! After having it settle on my skin for a while the green scent profile is also really coming through. It's pleasant but becomes very powdery.

What a fun blind buy! Found it on clearance for almost nothing. As the other reviewers said, I am also not getting the pea note. However I am getting a licorice note that is not listed. Has this been reformulated? This is a 2024 batch code. Somehow its overall impression is Aqualina Pink Sugar but a very light EDT version and not nearly as sweet. The cedar is barely perceptible, no pencil shavings here. Sweet but not tiktok gourmand sweet. More like y2k body spray sweet - if you wore jeans with a sparkly "going out top" know what I mean. It's a soft casual optimistic little cheapie for spring/summer. Lasts only a few hours but that is to be expected. Like ice cream on a hot day, its a sweet refreshing treat but definitely not something for a signature or serious occasions. Will likely not repurchase but its firmly in the "grab it if you see it in the clearance section" category.

god bless my mom for having this perfume a while ago. We both like this kind of smells, feminine but not overly sweet or floral-focused, smells like expensive, freshly cut wood
