Palo Santo Sage

I'm a huge fan of this fragrance and think it's a sleeper. It's not nearly as talked about as i think it should be and, honestly, I like that for myself 😄 Similar to You Doux, Palo Santo Sage (PSS) starts off as a clean dry wood skin scent, but the scents part ways within 1 - 2 hours of the drydown. Where You Doux begins to sweeten and then goes full amber in the final drydown, Palo Santo Sage stays true to its opening. And while I understand the Santal 33 comparison, I find PSS less punchy. I appreciate that subtlety without being boring. The addition of the eucalyptus note is a differentiator that sets it apart from similar fragrances. It uplifts upon first spray, then settles on the drydown. PSS wears beautifully on its own and as a layering fragrance, particularly with woody vanillas. It's funny. I originally didn't like this fragrance but tucked it away to revisit. I tried it again the weather was cooler and it smelled so beautiful. This is one of my favorite wears now.

A very fresh, woody, herbal, calming scent. Despite being a cheap perfume you can buy at Target, this doesn't smell cheap at all. It smells like you went to an expensive spa. There is some complexity to it. This perfume reminds me of Maison Louis Marie's Bois de Balincourt or Le Labo's Santal 33. It's in the same family of scents, but it smells better than these two, in my humble opinion. While Santal 33 has a leathery undertone, this perfume has a very fresh, minty, herbal undertone. It would be an excellent scent for a man, but women can wear it too. I would describe it as unisex, leaning ever so slightly masculine. The difference between the perfume and the body spray is that the perfume performs like an eau de toilette, while the body spray is more ephemeral and might require multiple sprays during the day. Also, the body spray has a subtle soapy note and slightly fresher palo santo smell. Smell: 10 out of 10 Longevity: 5 out of 10 Unisex leaning slightly masculine

This is my absolute favorite Being Frenshe fragrance. I did not expect to like it but grabbed a bottle of the body lotion because it was randomly 60% off & I love the brand. This scent is just delicious. When flipping the top to smell it at first, I was afraid it was too woody or masculine & planned on layering it. But, once it mixes with your skin: OMG. It transitions from a heavy sandalwood/woody scent to a clean, creamy, delectable skin musk and the smell lingers. I get so so many compliments when wearing it. One of my coworkers said, "I purposely walk by your desk just to smell this." Lol. She immediately put the Palo Santo Sage on her list to buy. This scent can NEVER be discontinued. You hear that, Ashley Tisdale? It can't! I see the perfume spray is out of stock & has been for weeks. Bring it back, please!

A blind buy that became my obsession! i purchased the roll on oil and found myself smelling my wrist ALL day. So OBVIOUSLY i bought the perfume, the mist, and the whole entire body line. I originally wanted this for the eucalyptus note, but when i smell it on myself, i get very deep woody notes with some juicy citrus on the drydown which is rare to find! The ylang ylang and sage ties it all together making it super classy and clean, yet mysterious and alluring, which is all i’ve ever wanted in a perfume! my only gripe is that my sister says it smells like cracked pepper on me which i don’t get at all, but i’m still wearing it lol.

What a great find! I got the roll on body stick at target first and sprayed the perfume in the store and by the end of my trip I had to buy this scent. Seriously a hidden gem, very pleasant and subtle while still packing a punch. Great deal and super unique. This scent reminds me of green tea and a gust of wind in the winter woods. It is very fresh opening with the eucalyptus and sage but the dry down really allows that palo santo and ylang ylang notes to shine. Perfect blend of fresh green accords, palo santo, and light florals. Would layer great with a santal 33 esque perfume.

This smells expensive. Clean, smoky, sage-y, goodness. Like you shop at pricey natural grocery stores that nobody has ever heard of. There is something a little starchy about it too, but in a nice way, like the smell of rice. I don't get the comparisons to Santal 33 personally, aside from the fact that they are both unisex and woody. This one is much more spa-like and aromatic to me, with some sweetness on the dry down. The longevity is not great in terms of it having any sillage after a couple of hours, but again, it smells EXPENSIVE and is super cheap, so I'll let that slide.

This stuff is awesome. It's somewhere between dried eucalyptus, green cardamom, and santal 33. Incredibly relaxing on its own, but also layers with others well, as do all Target fragrances. Smells expensive but smooth, like a spa experience. Definitely unisex, being marketed to women, naturally it will skew more female in the votes, but guys this is not to be slept on if you like chill relaxing scents. Vapeur Blanc by Zara is similar to this but more woodsy. I layer this with Ombre Leather.

A very lukewarm like for me but for the money it is good ! To sum up this smell is simple as it's a very outdoorsy,woodsy smell that smells very similar to a lot of the outdoorsy beard oils out nowadays. I asked a friend to smell this and she said it doesn't smell bad but it does remind her of a pine tree and reminds her of a lumberjack. As weird as that sounds I totally understand and agree with that !!! For that reason I think this is extremely a mature, masculine scent. Not exactly my favorite and not up to par with woody scents like Tam Dao or even Sandalwood from Every Man Jack but it's still not bad either. Performance on the roll on is AMAZING!! It projects very boldly for 2 hours and lasts on my skin for over 12 hours. I was very impressed with the longevity and projection of this. I also only dabbed lightly on 3 pulse points. (1 pulse point would be effective even) Overall rating - 6.5 out of 10 ! Decent woody,outdoorsy smell that has great performance. Unfortunately scent wise it's only above average

This perfume is eucalyptus and sage forward at first spray; the palo santo and ylang ylang come through more after the first couple of hours until that's pretty much all that's left. It lasted I'm reviewing based off of a single spritz of sample so maybe if i sprayed more it would perform differently but, while the longevity is decent, the sillage is basically nonexistent. Good for spraying on your wrists before bed or any other situation where someone's nose is basically pressed against where it was sprayed.

Very pleasant, and for the price I find it hard to complain. It reminds me a little of Book by Commodity. Actually I think I like this a little more then Book. The opening is very fresh, a little bit of a medicinal mouth wash vibe, but it all settles down into such a lovely woody and herbal scent. I'd be happy to walk in to a wellness spa that smelled like this and did spray a bit of it on my bedsheets.

very nice, love this kind of smell i need it in a body wash. very calming. good daily scent, pretty appropriate for all situations. doesn't last very long or project very much, but great value for the price + for a body spray

I love most santal fragrances but this one was too much for me. It was the eucalyptus. It overwhelmed the whole scent. I might wear it again because I see a lot of reviews which love it. Maybe I will try and layer it with santal body products. I hate writing-off a perfume after one wearing. I will give it another try.

i think the woody notes in this are what made it smell like straight pickle juice to me. if you're sensitive to pickle vibes like i am, it probably isn't for you.

the eucalyptus note here is really fresh and interesting! unfortunately, it completely disappears upon drydown and all that’s left is hamster cage bedding.

The notes in this are just gorgeous. I am in immediate love with this line because of how GOOD this smells. Eucalyptus as a note is hugely nostalgic to me (growing up in Australia)! Ugh I love this.

I smelled this last week and had to go buy it today. I don’t know to explain it but it’s like a extra salty margarita it’s just very good to me.

Definitely smells like Santal 33 (by Le Labo) as well as Declassified Subtil 33 (by Odos Beauty).
