Salty

This review is for the body mist. So salty!! After getting You Soie, I really went down the salty rabbit hole and had been eyeing this one for a while. I thought it would be similar in vibes because... salt. Boy was I wrong (which was good). ---Vibes--- You Soie is breathing in hot, salty, summer air in the tropics amongst white florals. But this? Frenshe's Salty is breathing in cold, salty, coastal air in early spring or autumn. It gets a bit Irish Spring bar soap after sometime, which makes for unisex appeal. I appreciate that its not a redundant fragrance in my collection in that aspect, and the price allows for some layering experimentation in this economy (2026, amirite?). ---Layering--- I've had some cheaper blind buys from Burlington that I have been wanting to declutter because they all smell too dated for my taste. Think DKNY Be Delicious, Paris Hilton, Donna Karan Cashmere Mist. Layering with Salty was like.. adding seasoning. It added depth to all these fragrances and I'm genuinely excited to bust them out again. I also bought Lattafa Eclaire a while back but haven't reached for it as much since the burning tire smell always seemed like its in the background. Layering with Salty canceled out the tire smell somehow and now my skin smells like straight sugar crystals? What is this magic?? ---Closing Thoughts--- Can't speak for lasting power yet but sillage seems decent. This is on initial hour of spray but I keep getting whiffs of myself and its sooo good. 10/10 ABSOLUTE BANGER. UPDATE: Projection is great in terms of not having to lean in to sniff myself in order to smell it. Performance is impressive for a body mist. I can still smell it on my skin and clothes after sleeping in it.

This stuff is addicting and does simply pleasant sooo well ! Also I picked this up not knowing it was for women. This opens up very bright,crisp,fresh and ever so salty. It remains pretty linear but as it dries down you do get more sandalwood but the saltiness does stay in the beckground. This is very balanced between fresh,salty and woody. Salty really reminds me of a sea scented dryer sheet ! Which in certain situations is perfect. Best purposes for this is casual use such as work,school,church, after shower or just lounging around the house. Also goes well with sun screen so can be worn to the beach as well. Performance on this is very surprising as I expected this to only last 2-3 hours but it lasts on me 8-12 hours and projects noticeably without ever becoming too much. Overall rating -8.5 out of 10 ! Such a nice,relaxing smell that is cheap AND lasts but it's nothing spectacular

i love this one. it does smell somewhat similar to glossier you, but it is primarily a sandalwood fragrance with salt and musk - it’s its own thing. i don’t personally smell the akigalawood at all, or maybe it’s extremely light. the frenshe line isn’t particularly long-lasting, the ones i have i get a good 4-5 hours out of. but the scents are nice and inoffensive; easy reaches and affordable. i really enjoy them for what they are. i paired this one with if you musk from bbw since there’s some votes stating they’re similar. one of my friends who knows i’m big into fragrance said, “you don’t smell like a particular perfume today, but you smell really nice,” and i think that captures the essence of this well. TLDR; nice, inoffensive musk, poor to moderate longevity, fair value for money, good for casual fragrance wearers, easy reach for any time wear

I'm always confused when scents are labelled "salt" because salt doesn't smell by itself, yet the scents are my favorite every single time. My local target overpriced her, as I got home and realized it would have been much cheaper pretty much anywhere online. It smells a little bit like overhead-board-cleaner (I wonder if they still use those in schools?) but in a nice, nostalgic way. Makes me think of a fresh box of wooden pencils mixed with hotel shampoo. Clean, synthetic, and mixes well with pretty much anything because the base is so neutral. I use this after a shower with Bananal Woody Blackberry hair perfume and I finally have the "girly" smell without the Lipsmacker quality that a lot of the more feminine scents tend to have for me.

one of my signature scents!! soooooo addicting to me. i have the body spray and the EDP, and i get a lot of compliments wearing this! the body spray actually performs prettyyyyyy well, it’s impressive. this layers perfectly with Glossier You Doux (Glossier You OG is also really good). my most affordable EDP and one of my all time favorites, you can’t really go wrong with this if you like woody/salty/musky fragrances

so yummy. salty but not in a pungent, sour way. more like that taste you get on your skin after swimming in the ocean, almost sunbleached. it's very cottony and woody. super good for layering too, i find that it enhances almost every perfume i wear. ugh, i'm in love. i can't stop wearing it. summery, windy, soft. so, so yummy. it's seriously amazing!!!!!!!

Dipping my toes into marine scents and this is such a nice light ocean scent. Much more unisex than the label implies, but my first impression is ocean water followed by driftwood and skin. I recommend getting the oils for these over the body sprays or EDP as the projection is better. You cant really beat this quality for only $16

I LOVE this scent profile. This is very well blended and smells more much expensive than it is. I want my home to smell like this 24/7. Like others said, glossier you but beach salty woody. (It’s not salty like you fleur). I hope this stays in stock and doesn’t get discontinued like all my other favorite scents.

Salty goes really (REALLY) well with the EOS Fresh & Cozy lotion/body wash. Both are skin musk scents that have a clean fresh/linen note. I'm usually more of an iris/violet musk Glossier You girl year-round, but the fresh note is really nice... especially in warmer weather.

An awesome salty kind of mineral woody smoothness. The muskiness in the base is clean. unisex, slightly feminine almost floral sour. I would pay good money for a masculine version of this.

such a unique scent to me –– musky, fresh, salty, woody. it transports me to my happy place: an overcast, rocky beach in northern california. makes me feel safe and grounded. love!

This is like if Glossier You had a slight scent of salty ocean water added to it! The oil roll on of this exact scent is surprisingly very long lasting!

It's as if Glossier You removed the pink pepper (yay!) then took a refreshing dip in the ocean. Salty is fresh, airy and musky! Very much unisex.

Fresh, clean, second skin scent. Layers super well. If you’re looking for a hot weather scent without citrus this is a great choice.

i like it well enough, especially the opening scent, which does feel like an ocean wave somehow. this makes the perfume oil rollerball really nice to just smell in the bottle, as the more marine opening fades pretty quickly on skin. the scent that's left behind is like a slightly watery second skin with the faint earthiness of an herb shop/essential oil aisle at the healthfood store. it wasn't detectable enough for me to want to buy one but it could be a good choice for someone looking for a clean, minimalist perfume that leans a little earthy. smells kind of like opening a window in like a log cabin and getting a waft of ocean air in the breeze, with the experience being unfortunately just as fleeting. such is life i guess? in nature, beautiful smells come just as quickly as they go. it did leave me with some sort of disappointment.

The vibe: This smells like the perspective of a man running across the beach to the ocean, who is also his mother. It's wind swept, woody, but also surprisingly clean and comforting, very familiar and mildly sharp. I like to spray it on my pillow before I sleep. It can evoke memories of a teen coastal clothing store, where beautiful rich kids buy clothing for their summer vacations to Malibu. They buy this perfume alongside their preppy plaid school skirts to remember their coastal summer. I associate this as a late summer/early fall scent for that reason. Despite the maternal softness, I still would consider this a perfectly unisex spray due to the sharpness which balances everything off quite nicely.

Very woody and salty! I reach for this during days when there's a looming threat of the sky's release -- it almost makes me feel like a big, salty tear drop coming from the ducts of the clouds; think Spring showers. I love to layer this with Naked Dance by Oddity for depth and to soften it a bit, making me smell clean and powdery, but almost sweaty with wet clay on my skin. Freshly showered. My only ding would be that it can sometimes get a little synthetic-y or even surprisingly screechy. I use the roll on, and if I place it in too many key points, it gives me a gnarly headache that is almost unrelenting due to the inescapably strong scent. Luckily, I do smell myself for a long time with this.
