Born To Rebel

It opens really powdery - almost like iris - and dies down to a salty, sunscreeny vanilla on me. Unfortunately, I only get a few hours out of this, but they are a delicious few hours. My body seems to eat fragrance, so longevity may not be an issue for others.

This has a metallic sweetness to that reminds me of something from my childhood that I can't quite pinpoint, it is incredibly pleasant and one I can see myself enjoying to wear during warmer days.

Out of the 5 samples I have from the company this one is maybe the most unique. It opens with powder and citrus, a combination I can’t say I’ve smelled in perfume before. There is something about this that reminds me SLIGHTLY of secretions magnifique by Etat libre d’orange but it’s nowhere near as off putting as that fragrance. I think it’s just how unusual it is. The powder is the biggest player in this fragrance for sure but the lemon and bergamot are there and seem more prominent the longer you sniff. I think the other thing that makes it harder me to wear is the mid note of Lilly of the valley, mostly when I have come across this note in the past, it tends to lean in a more mature way and I think this fragrance does lean a little that way too. There’s something though that is keeping this fragrance from just being a mature powder bomb and I can’t put my finger on it. It could be the almond blossom (a note I’m not familiar with) or maybe the orris root. Although this one is not for me I think powder lovers and people who want to seek out the more unusual fragrances would want to give this one a try.

Opens with a strong note of diaper cream (perhaps influencing the choice of name in BORN to Rebel?). Luckily this dries down within an hour or so, becoming more creamy, vanilla, almond-y. When I first tried this the opening felt almost masculine to me – it's sharp, somewhat bracing. Not unpleasant, just unexpected. Overall I enjoyed my sample but will not be purchasing a full bottle.

This is just lovely! Sweet, clean, fresh easy to wear laundry musk type of scent. Enjoyable citrus opening with a powdery bergamot with flows into the spring bouquet heart and a very clean fresh Musk underneath. It makes me think of a sweeter, more floral CK One which I mean as a compliment. A great just out of the shower daytime scent to reach for.
