Exalté by Funmi Monet

Exalte by Funmi Monet is a fruity floral fragrance created by Tiktoks luxury fragrance auntie Funmi Monet. Knowing I don't like rose fragrances 97% of the time (Out of my 70+ bottles I have 2 rose fragrances) I really only purchased this to be supportive of a black woman in the fragrance space. If I liked it, great! If I hated it, well time to decant or gift to someone else. Much to my surprise though, I loved it! I don't get any of the lemon or pink pepper in the opening, instead I get straight Turkish Rose with that Jasmine beautifully blended in. The first night I wore it I sprayed it on and proceeded to go on a double date with my husband and some friends. First stop was a pizza Parlor, before I even SAT DOWN the moment I got up the stairs my friend (another fraghead) asked - "Is that your new perfume? The rose is beautiful." OK well damn. We ate and headed to the arcade next door. 30 minutes later same friend says "Which white flower is in that? Jasmine? It's nicely mixed in." Well ok DAMN again. Exalte is a girl who announces herself, noted. The projection is strong but the sillage isn't great, you won't be leaving a large scent trail. The longevity though? On my clothes that rose smell stayed 12+ hours. On my skin by that mark it had faded into this beautiful vanilla Sandalwood scent that hugged very closely. It was a blind buy for me and if you love more feminine leaning soft rose (not fresh bouquet of roses rose) scents it may be safe for you. Otherwise, I'd be cautious. Over all, I think might actually get a back up bottle of this knowing it's limited. 🙈

this one is going to be one of my most worn for spring and summer. I agree that it’s a soft vanilla rose amber scent. I don't gravitate to a rose scent but this rose is really nice, soft and creamy almost. This scent goes a touch creamy in the dry down. Something in here gives a clean vibe which I think might be one of the florals. Smells like a lemon topped with sweet vanilla cream and garnished with lush rose petals. She’s feminine. I think you would have to enjoy lemon in fragrances for this one to work. this is signature scent worthy. it’s wearable anytime and anywhere and for that versatility alone it's worth it. I can see myself layering with this as well. It's not a beast sillage on me but it does last all day. I get a ton of compliments on this. I do think it smells similar to roses vanille so if you have that you’ll probably really like this one but you don’t necessarily need it bc they’re similar. Think roses vanille + delina except instead of tartness you get the lemon in this.

This is one of the best rose-vanilla perfumes out there. Seriously. It’s a more elevated Rose Gourmand and Roses Vanille IMO. Not synthetic at all like the other two. The amber, citrus, and white florals just add an air of luxury, class, and sexiness to the fragrance. It’s got great longevity and projects beautifully as well. The first time I wore this around my boyfriend, he kept telling me how good I smelled and he usually doesn’t react like that to a lot of my perfumes. Funmi Monet really snapped with this fragrance and if you get a chance to smell it, please do. I promise you will not be disappointed. Sure it may not be groundbreaking, but it’s been done in such a high-quality way that outshines many other rose-vanilla scents. This is up there with Lancôme’s Parfait de Roses, which is another rose-vanilla-amber combo that I just adore. I’m so happy to have gotten my hands on a full bottle and I will cherish it for the rest of my days.

This is SOOOO good. I’m mad that I waited so long to get it. Is it somewhat similar to Rose Vanille, yes but only in the opening. It’s the most beautiful syrupy rose. I love Rose Jam from Lush. This is like Rose Jam went to Harvard, became a top tier criminal defense attorney, and is living her best life!!!!! She’s a boss at work but has a softer side to her when needed. It is so well blended too. I liked Roses Vanille but not enough to buy a bottle because there was something screechy about it. THIS on the other hand is magnificent. On top of all of that, the packaging is beautiful. I got the 30ml version and I love the deep green velvet caring case that came with it. Because of the longevity I don’t think I need to carry it around for top ups but I do like keeping it in my bag for whenever I want to use it.

Everything about this perfume is luxurious. When I first spray it I get a soft spiciness from the pink pepper and a bit of citrusy fresh lemon. Then I start to get the orange blossom, jasmine and the rose that’s done perfectly. I wouldn’t consider myself a huge rose fan but I love the rose in this. It’s a sweet jammy rose. So even if you don’t care for rose I still think there’s a good chance you’ll like this perfume. In the base I get the sweet creamy vanilla and sandalwood. It’s intoxicating... I feel so sexy when I wear this! The sillage is really good and so is longevity. I get 12+ hours of wear. This is definitely in my top 3 longest lasting perfumes I own. Funmi really outdid herself with this one!

This Perfume is AMAZING! I’ve had it for awhile now but I’ve only worn it Once and Sprayed it Twice when it first arrived. Today I was Curious; I was about to order Beyoncé’s EDP so I decided to look at Videos. One Reviewer stated it smells similar to Exalté and Fenty. Since I have both I decided to try it and my oh my! I Sprayed Exalté and was almost angry that I did because I fell in LOVE and I only have the 30ML! This doesn’t smell like Delina to Me. It’s a Beautiful Spicy Rose! Stunning actually. I almost have no words for it. Mixed with Fenty EDP I can’t stop smelling Myself! If You can get a 100ML of this even a 30ML get it!!!

I’ve been sitting with this perfume for almost a month and felt ready to write. This scent is one that I look forward to wearing and feel indulgent every time I spray. On first spray it is the most beautiful creamy powdered lemon with a sprinkle of rose and then as it dries down on my skin more rose blooms while woody vanilla creeps from the base notes. As a final dry down I smell the Amber and rose is still there. It stays with me all day. I’ll catch myself going “who smells so good?” And ITS ME! 😍 Everyday, all day, all times of the year scent. Definitely a signature in my collection. One of the most unique scents I own.

I'm a big fan of Funmi, I love her TikTok and Instagram and I find that we have similar taste in fragrance. This was a blind buy but I had a strong feeling I'd love it because I knew it would be incredibly and luxurious. It didn't disappoint, it's a gorgeous spicy, lush rose that dries down with a creamy vanilla and sandalwood base. While it is spicy and decadent, it's not too heavy and it can be worn year-round. I can especially see myself using it a lot in the upcoming spring and summer months when I'm looking for something more floral. It's absolutely signature scent worthy, it's unique but very wearble.

Full Disclosure: I am an influencer as well & I’m truly skeptical of fragrances released by other influencers because they’re normally attached to a brand. EXALTE’ was ❤️ at first sniff! I was immediately engaged. Superbly blended I absolutely love spraying it all over. This is not your average 🌹... the Turkish Rose is pronounced with a bit of fluffy lightness modernizing the composition EXALTE’. Not quite a gourmand, but I definitely think it’s delicacy. Performance - Projection, Sillage & Longevity is super impressive as well. I’m strongly considering buying a back up bottle!

This fragrance is so beautiful, funmi sent me and quote a few others free samples if you dm’d her when it first came out(now you can purchase samples). Which I thought was amazing because that never happens. Delina is my favorite fragrance and I love this more than Delina, it’s a beautiful, signature scent worthy, feminine, luxurious scent. I love fragrance and I was a fan of funmi on TikTok & always loved her recommendations so I knew she was going to make something beautiful. I’m planning on buying a back up bottle because it really is that beautiful.

The best rose perfume. I am not a huge fan or rose but I love this. It a light fresh rose with just enough sweetness from the vanilla and orange blossom. It’s classy and elegant. If this wasn’t a limited edition fragrance this would be my signature scent. But since I won’t be able to buy another bottle I use this for special occasions. Love at first sniff and I always get compliments when wearing this. Yes it’s similar to Mancera roses vanille but Exaltè is much better and more refined. The quality is worth the price.

I got a sample of this and immediately became obsessed. With a large collection, I was surprised that I found what I considered to be my new signature scent. I can't say enough about it. I think they could have named it 'juicy flowers" and been right on target. It's not a rose frag, it's not a fruity frag, it's not a woody frag and yet it is all of those and more. The first thought of mine was immediately, "this is signature scent worthy" and now I have two bottles... it is that good.

Honestly this is just fantastic. I bought a small sample on Mercari of maybe 5 ml, and then purchased TWO 30 ml (annoyingly the largest size they have) during their Holiday sale. While I waited for it to ship to California from France I literally went into withdrawal and was CRAVING the scent. I don't see how you could regret this if you like rose or just...smelling like a luxurious sexy bitch LOL. To me it gives roses and honey, although there's no honey accord.

Exalté by Funmi Monet and Bella Aura is easily one of my most used fragrances. This fragrance is within the same vain of Mancera’s Roses Vanille which is essentially a sweet vanilla and rose scent. This one differs with a bit more complexity, an upscaled dna, and a bit of spice with the pink pepper. This is an easy grab and go scent, incredibly versatile, and just so pretty. Love this one. It cost a pretty penny, and that is the only reason that I say it isn't a safe blind buy. Otherwise, I say go for it. The Turkish rose and creaminess of it all is love at first sniff. Kind of reminds me of Delina Exclusif and MFK's Gentle Fluidity Gold. The rose is a little more jammy though. I want to get a backup bottle so bad because it is limited, but until then, I'll be loving on this one.

This is Delina without the tartness-which for me is a plus because that’s what turned me off from Delina. When I initially got this fragrance, I smelled similarities between it and Roses Vanille, but now that I’ve worn it more it’s a much lighter, creamier rose than Roses Vanille. This is definitely an attention getting fragrance and has become one of my favorites already!

A new favorite scent of mine. I don’t own anything that smells like it which is nice because I have a pretty large collection. It’s a warm rose with considerable vanilla that makes it edible to me. The lemon gives it good zest. I don’t get the roses vanille comparisons but if you like that you’ll like this if you want a warmer vibe. It’s all there. 😍

This fragrance exudes wealth and taste for me. It made me hunt down other Turkish rose fragrances and was the first bottle to make me consider having a backup for. I normally thought that was a ridiculous concept but I always liked fragrances. This was one of the first ones I fell in love with.

This is creamysweet and incredibly well blended. I pick up mostly on the vanilla, amber, rose, and jasmine – with a hint of lemon and pink pepper. I don’t have anything like this in my collection, and I’m so glad to own it. It’s become my signature date night scent. 🥰

This does not smell like roses vanille by mancera. Roses vanille smells like pee to me very acidic. This is a beautiful rose fragrance. The rose, vanilla, lemon, pink pepper, and amber blend together beautifully for a unique smell. I wish it wasn’t discontinued.

This fragrance is blended to perfection!!! It’s so good. It’s a sweet rose, but not too sweet and the vanilla and sandalwood give it a very smooth and creamy dry down! I’ve gotten NON STOP compliments wearing this!!! My new signature scent!

Love love loveee this 😍 hands down the best rose perfume I’ve ever tried. It smells like a rich, classy and sophisticated woman, absolutely stunning! The longevity is amazing as well, it at least lasted 7 to 8 hours on me

Very nice fragrance. I get a lot of peppery vanilla out it and it last all day on my skin. Before you blind buy try Oakcha Sorcery. It smells very similar to it.

This fragrance smells rich, sensual and alluring. Signature scent worthy for sure.

I don't typically try out influencer products because they have the opposite effect on me and make me think it'll be worse just because their names are on it. However, I got to try this one out after seeing a close friend like it so much whose opinion I trust and I think it's actually a really pretty and sweet citrusy-rose perfume. It starts off a lot fresher than I expected because of that lemon note which I really enjoy and the heart notes are mostly orange blossom, vanilla, and rose but honestly the florals in this stay pretty subdued and creamy in my opinion. As it wears, it eventually becomes more of an ambery vanilla scent which is when I start to not really care for it since I'm not a fan of gourmands. The scent projects a fair bit and has great sillage and longevity. If you're someone who loves Oud Satin Mood or Delina Exclusif or Love Don't Be Shy then you will most likely love this one, just to give you an idea of that sweet floral gourmand fragrance category that this falls under.

Edit: I managed to purchase Exalte and at first I was a little disappointed because it reminded me if another fragrance I had. I think it’s the rose that makes it similar. After a few days I have been exploring this a little more and yea Exalté is bomb 💣 AF Exalte is more stronger, the rose is more prominent, sweet and creamier, it’s very giving, it is so very gorgeous, it is divine and very unique and I cannot compare this to any other fragrance in my collection. I love this scent so much I have ordered a back up today in total I have 3 bottles. And I will definitely be ordering more. I really hope Funmi Monet keeps Exalté going as it is the best creamiest rose 🌹 I have ever smelt just so Divine !!!!! Since my last review I have made a huge dent on my 30ml travel bottle so I decided to buy back ups I now have four back up bottles and counting 😍💖 it is one of my signature scent, full bottle worthy but unfortunately the 100mls were limited edition and won’t be back Funmi Monet and the exalte team told me themselves which I am truley gutted about😩🥺so for now I will continue to buy my backup bottles and collect as much as I can because the travel size 30ml is only limited edition Funmi told me once it’s gone it’s gone 😫 so get you some exalte😊😊😊

Beautiful perfume, Intially feels like there's alot fighting to come through. As if it's over complicated, but the dry down is a beautiful Turkish rose. I love the scent its a very complex perfume, smells different through wearing it. Yet to receive any compliments on it from others, but I know I smell good when wearing it. Maybe it's quite intimidating for some, makes you feel confident and ready to take anything on. A great power move fragrance. Reminds me of Jean Paul gautier la classique had a baby with ysl libre.

Rose fragrances never sit well with me especially as a star in the scent but this one is different. I LOVE the citruisy opening with the pink pepper, and the sandalwood/vanilla/ambery/musky dry down which makes this rose soft and palatable. I enjoy this a lot and am glad I got the 30 ml. It won't be a signature scent but will be nice for helping me step outside of my vanilla box and learn to enjoy more rose forward florals!

Lovely all seasons citrus-rose and amber. This does smell similar to Ajwad, but maybe a bit smoother? I’ll have to compare side by side, but I really like Ajwad so it makes sense I like this.

Great Day! I just received this fragrance and wanted so bad to LOVE it, but I don't. First it smells like something I've smelled many times before. Second, I thought by the notes, it would be yummy and creamy, however for me and the way it meshes with my body chemistry I don't get any of that. On the initial spray, I do get the lemon and subtle hits of pink pepper and it truly does morph into something totally different on the dry down with vanilla, amber and sandalwood. I don't get the rose though! For me, whenever I get a new fragrance I do my nightly routine and I sleep in it because I want to smell it and wake up to it. For me, this just doesn't do it for me. I was influenced by Funmi on this one, but she has introduced me to many other fragrances that I absolutely love. In my opinion a fragrance has to be worn in order to know if it works for you, so I'm not mad I tried it and now I know! I don't do many blind buys, but this was one and it was more of supporting a woman with her own fragrance, which is a dream of mine. I'll probably layer this with another fragrance and use it that way. Love & Light to All!

Let me preface by saying that we all have different preferences where fragrance profiles are concerned. This is not my preferred fragrance profile. On my first spray I immediately concluded that this is exactly like Lattafa's Ajwad. I later realized it dries down differently. To my nose, the opening features the same combination of notes, however this did not have that irritating, sneeze inducing component - so fragrance-wise, same notes. This does smell more luxurious but it override your opinion if you do not find this profile appealing even in the least. Longevity was there, quality was there, I will wear it knowing it will not make me smell awful. I simply expected a more unique and alluring fragrance. On that note, always remember, influencers have one job - to influence. This may take many forms and I find most of the top fragrance influencers entertaining, but I always remember that my personal opinions and experiences are likely to not mirror theirs, and encourage others to do the same.

I was able to pick up the 30ml during the winter release. This is lovely! I will always support BIPOC content creators, but I'm glad I did not purchase a full bottle, as the opening is similar to something in my collection already (Liquid Imaginaries Fleur De Sable). This perhaps has a heavier, more syrupy rose. The white florals magnify the viscid quality of this fragrance on my skin. That's not a bad thing, though. I think the blast of citrus notes in the top cut that sweetness quite well, with a comparable subtlety to the lemon note in Byredo Bal D'Afrique. The dry-down is a very wearable soft and musky vanilla. The performance is average, but it wears better in a warmer climate for me. It's unique enough to be a signature vacation scent. 6/10, as I still prefer the spicy-sandy-ethereal quality of Fleur De Sable, and that performs slightly better. The 30ml price point also feels a bit overpriced, but I imagine the production and partnership drove the price up for this release.

This is identical to Magic by Al-Jazeera perfumes launched in 2016. I’ve been contemplating on purchasing this perfume for a really long time. The only reason I didn’t purchase sooner is because I saw the comparison to Ajwad also a close dupe of Magic as well. Recently I was comparing the notes and I thought to myself, there has to be a differentiating note.... but I am completely disappointed. I’ve been wearing Magic since I visited the UAE, and it’s a signature scent for me. This is one of the scents that turned heads when I returned to my hotel in Dubai and walked to my room. It makes sense that it’s very much adored and loved by many, it’s beautiful and unique. However, I’m sticking with the OG.

This is a very syrupy rose, I wouldn't say it is complex but definitely a fragrance for those trying to attract the male gaze. To me it's like if Gold Couture and Miss Dior had a rose scented baby. Layers really well with oud fragrances though - and those are great to give it more depth! Also has pretty crazy longevity, so spray sparingly. I have the original full size bottle and it has always had an issue with leaking, sadly it now seems the perfume has gone rancid and only 1/4 has been used. I'm excited to see Funmi's new brand and hope it has more reliable packaging(:

I keep reading comparisons to Roses Vanille. I get it BUT I think this has more of a dry rose similiar to Zara Love Explosion or the first Blast of Rose Gourmand. It comes off a little screechy to me at the opening but it dries down beautifully. Not a love yet, but a cute little LIKE.

To me it’s a mix between MFK Gentle Fluidity and PdM Delina. It’s a nice smelling perfume and definitely lasts, however it’s not entirely worth the hype. I don’t think it’s that groundbreaking or special.

Let down does not even begin to describe how I feel about this fragrance. It smells like any other cheap synthetic mancera or montale rose scent. I'm totally blasted by THAT montale brand sickening amber smell. I can hardly smell anything else. I've heard so many genuine great reviews of this that I am suspecting that this montale DNA is something that I specifically am SUPER sensitive to. So if you like that DNA you may love this. But if you don't... please don't even sample this.

Just purchased and decluttered this scent. Smells nothing like Mancera Roses Vanille, but does resemble Unique'e Luxury SoScentific. There was something in that fragrance I couldn’t get along with either..... I would say maybe try before you buy and don’t just purchase off the strength of loving the creator. I love to support Black creators in any space, but this just doesn’t work for me so it’s essentially a waste of my money. 😔

This is why you shouldn’t listen to the internet. Most people online are hyping it up for attention/approval. This smells like the $30 Oakcha perfume “Sorcery” rebottled and marked up. I prefer Sorcery actually. This DNA is so redundant, don’t waste your money on something that’s been done a million times.
