My place or yours Gina

oh Gina, you had me at hello! this gorgeous juice is equal parts patchouli and vanilla/tonka bean with top notes of raspberries and pink pepper. its sultry, spicy, sophisticated and smells like a million bucks. lord knows i love a good bargain and these stunning little gold bottles are around $35 each making it easy for just about anyone to smell like they spent a fortune on their perfume. i have no idea who the nose is behind benefits scents but if they were here right now i'd high-five them. both Gina and Noelle are like nothing i have ever smelt before and if the others are anything like them, i'll be adding several more "names" to my collection.

LoooOOOooove! This is subdued sexy-- fruity spice but creamy. The packaging will pull you in but the scent will keep you coming back for more-- I have easily been through four bottles. Once I told one member of my family what I was wearing then an aunt went and bought some--- then a cousin-- then my grandmother. That's just too many people I have to experience wearing my then signature scent ( I know.. how bratty of me!) . I have since moved onto Hanae Mori but I do look back once in a while and smell my old bottles and sometimes squeeze out a spritz or two!

This is one of my favorites. I hate straight patchouli oil but am learning that I love it in perfume. I hardly detect any straight fruitiness which to me is a good thing. I also find the longevity to be better than other reviewers. Put it on at 5:00 tonight, still smelling it nicely at 9:30. I do find some sweetness but it's not overpowering and nicely balanced by the pepper and wood. I am complimented almost everytime I wear this, especially by men. One even had me write it down so he could buy it for his girlfriend. What more could you ask for?

Sweet but Spicy! It's a luscious sweet like a like something you'd want to eat and a warm-peppery spice, cozy and inviting. Kind of seductive even. I love it. Thought the scent doesn't last long and nor does the bottle. The bottle is pretty small. But I am in love with this scent and would certainly buy it again & would love to explore all of the Crescent Row scents. Should my college gal, starving artists funds ever permit ... hah!

I absoloutly love this! Between the three this is my definate favorite. Its so smokey but sweet at the same time, it has a spiciness that I just adore and as you can see its also a bonus that we share the same name! Its definately somthing that would attract peoples attention, its a very, very unique smell and nothing like anything I've ever worn before!

This is a lovely soft patchouli fragrance balanced out by sublte florals and fruits. There is sweetness and smoothness that makes this very wearable. Although its not listed, I detect a hint of pineapple. This is my favorite of the Benefit line that I've tried.

This one is from the kind of scents I prefer to wear ) Berry-fruity, a little peppery and floral. Seductive, but not overpowering, not too sharp and not too soft. Not too sour. It is my favorite from this series of six scents

a very sweet scent and floral scent and even better that benefit has perfumes that fit every kind of person just right e.g. rita,bella,sophia,gina and much more!!!

I absolutely love this perfume....I bought it a couple of years ago (2009 or 2008)and the bottle is still half full. Smells so good.

A sweet smelling gourmand perfume. It smells like vanilla, praline, chocolates with fragrant flowers. A glamorous scent.

I got this as part of the limited edition Crescent Row holiday set, which was a blind buy when Benefit had a buy one get one promo after the holidays were over. I love the sweetness of this one, with a hint of dark and spicy. Angel didn't really come to mind, but after reading some reviews, I now think they do have a little bit of similarity, though I still would not compare the two (I still prefer Angel by far). The patchouli and tonka particularly catch my fancy, as I seem to be partial to those notes. I think of this as suitable for a romantic occasion, and better for cooler weather. Since I live in a hot and humid country, I consider it better for evening, though I still do use it during the daytime, but never during the summer or a normal really hot day, as I feel it would be too suffocatingly sweet for such heat. For this reason, I consider this fragrance a bit special as I couldn't wear it everyday. I am wearing it today though, as it isn't too hot and may even rain later on.

On me, after a few minutes this smells just like Bond No 9 Chinatown...not the entire journey of Chinatown, of course, but the drydown...and I have no idea why but it just does. Unfortunately, a few minutes is about all that this fragrance lasts. Even at only $35 I'm returning this because in my opinion I refuse to buy a perfume from Bloomingdales that lasts an hour. This is a pleasant fragrance, nothing spectacular but definitely pleasant and not too offensive although it is relatively distinct for the type of fragrance it is. If you don't mind this not lasting too long and want something that will be a good scent to keep in your purse in case you need a touch-up, then this isn't bad but, in my opinion, it's nothing more than that.

A really nice earthy sweetness. It initially spritzes as bergamot and berry, but almost immediately dries down to a warm swirl of tonka and very nicely done patchouli. Sometimes patchouli comes off as smooth and sweet, and here, it does that. I can sense a little pepper spicing up the edges. This is a nice choice for a sweet, earthy, slightly spicy fragrance. It has very good lasting power, but I find it mostly to be a skin scent. Spritzed this on when I was purchasing my bottle of Hooked on Carmella. I eventually covered this one with Carmella and they mix very nicely! I think I'll try it again soon...

Very fruity floral scent with sweet gourmand quality. I also get this peppery note in the mix and it is nice. I am not exactly sure but it has this tarty fruity smell of Versace Versus (newly relaunch) and the peppery fruity kick of Gucci Guilty as far as the begining of it. Few hours later, this Gina turns into light sweet and warm oriental. I don't think I get anything woodsy but the peppery note is still detectable at base. My Place or Yours Gina is the coziest one of all these row house perfumes. If you love the peppery fruity scent, then this is for you, but be cautious it is still quite sweet.

This is a beautiful, sweet, patchouli perfume. It doesn't take me to Gina's place, but it definitely takes me to my happy place. It's very cuddly and, surprisingly, pink. It reminds me of a lighter, airy, softer projecting version of La Vie Est Belle. There's no syrupy aspect to it, even though it's heavy with Tonka Bean, and there's really no punch of patchouli. The raspberry isn't jammy at all which is a huge plus for me. The notes seem to balance each other out very well. Longevity is moderate, projection is moderate-to-soft. Me likes a lot.

Powerful stuff! At first I was afraid that it would be too strong to me, but when some alcohol evaporated, fragrance heart turned out to be totally great! Warm, creamy, sexy, alluring, 100% feminine, boudoir and absolutely pleasant! Gina is sophisticated, likes red lipstick, high-heeled shoes and a bit naughty men:) and lives to full... If this is your description, you may like it. Update: I've tested it again and have found out that base notes are lovely! However, middle notes seem to be too intense floral for me.

Goodness this is lovely. It was a toss up for me between this and So Hooked On Carmella. I eventually chose Carmella (which I LOVE) but I still can't get this fragrance out of my head. When pay day comes around I'll get this too and chop and change. However, the lady on the Benefit counter told me each perfume on the line has 'mixing ingredients' meaning you can layer the perfumes and get a good result. To be continued!!

I get almost none of the notes listed accept a VERY SWEEEEEET patchouli, but I love this. On me at least this totally reads as fresh pineapple! And the longevity of this is really astounding, as it lasts all day on me. Also, when sprayed in hair or on clothes, it will stay until its washed, so Im not sure why it is rated to be a much weaker fragrance. Definitely my little gem.

i don't like Angel by Mugler but I love A*men which smells fantastic on my husband. When I smelled Gina I thought I found something similar to A*men but not being Angel. Unfortunately the tester was one thing and the actual EDT another thing, I vaporize like half liter on me and...nothing!!! No silage, no longevity! Too bad for such a great smell!

Mocny, słodki, wyrazisty. Pachnie jak perfumy Beyonce ;) Za słdki na rano, za lekki na wieczór. Więc chyba dobry w środku dnia, na jakis spacer, nic zobowiązującego. Inny od pozostałych. Można kochać lub nienawidzić. Ja raczej lubię :)

berry bomb:) when i tried it first i felt very childish style fruity,after five minutes,joined tonka and lily,absolutely sexy.maybe not unique or too classy but this one is pure joyful and fun.sillage is good and price is reasonable.

I love this. Its spicey. I don't get pineapple as the review above me states. I love all three in this trio. This one is the most 'naughty' of the three.

My Place or Yours Gina is a lovely surprise from the Cresent Row, it starts with woody sweetness with a hint of somewhat old time charm as in those you can see from those 50s, 60s movies. Somehow it reminiscents Tous In Heaven Her, but much smooth, much woodier and much less synthetic sugary. A little bit patchouli is already present here, as a nice hint in the background. Somehow weird enough, I can see an Angel copycat here, which has failed so much, and it has totally become a different perfume on its own. It’s like Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox, even though Megan somewhat looks like Angelina, but she lacks a lot of things that Angelina has, but still, Megan Fox is nice, young, pretty and sexy on her own. The perfume is quite linear to me, and towards the seemingly dry down, it’s just more blended, and less edgy. Not a bad perfume at all, but somehow, I feel there’s a lack of something here, but again, it’s a perfume from Benefit, and more aiming at the younger generation who might just get into the world of body sprays, or those who are young at heart, and loves pretty bottles, so My Place or Yours Gina is nice and pretty enough.

As we look at pyramid this scent should be nice, warm and gourmand (patchouli + sweet fruit) but in overall perception it's just opposite - cold, strange and unpleasant. That's really suprised me because I'm always attached to patchouli+sweetness formula. Not this time. Gina is like snotty cold girl who has big ego and haughty self-esteem - but nobody really cares :) Sorry for that impressions but I don't see nothing special about this, furthermore its composition is rather annoying, cloudy (can give headache) and really strange, as the ingredients weren't in well balanced proportion or some of theme gone bad (?). Gina is nothing as Angel (!), no no! Generally I can't see anything special about Benefit fragrances, that one had to be the best from the range (that what I thought & bought it) but really isn't. It's a shame 'cos bottles - as at Benefit's general - is so pretty and funny.

raspberry and vanilla; like the La Petite Robe Noir's of the world but without the depth and darkness, not as good; a typical modern crap fragrance that appeals to the masses

I bought this but ending up returning it. Smells first fresh and a bit spicy. But after a while it turns mold. Not plessant at all

As one could suggest with the provocative name, My place or yours Gina is supposed to be the most seductive of the series. I wouldn't call it a femme fatal, however I do find it very intriguing and in some ways, sensual. My place or yours Gina tends to be all about the fruits. When I first smelt this I immediately thought dark, juicy black currant, tangerine and a touch of spice. The fruity notes are not lively or refreshing, they are somewhat dark and brooding. More like a fruity scent for night-time wear. Vanilla and patchouli smooths out the scent nicely, adding a somewhat earthy, sweet component to the already rich and tart-like fruits. If we must refer to this fragrance as being sexy, it's sexy in a conservative sense. Not nearly as wild as some may expect. I actually define all of the fragrances in this series as being slightly old-fashioned, like something one would wear way back in the 40's and 50's. Although My place of yours Gina has been intended for a more mature crowd, I do believe that young girls will lap this fragrance up. Dark fruity scents seem to be all the rage these days.

This fragrance is delicious immediately; the pink pepper sparkles on top. The fruitiness is heavy duty and I would not describe this scent as 'woody'; probably a fruity gourmand. The disappointment shows up during the dry down. The fragrance never opens up to expose layers; it simply remains a fruit bomb held together with Tonka bean and tame, almost transparent patchouli. The disappointment continues with poor lasting power; reapplication is needed almost every half hour. At $35 for 30 mL, Gina is not a bargain. Another issue is a lack of complexity. The pink patchouli effect is very nice and can be found in many scents, for example, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, and Givenchy Play Intense, but both of the aforementioned scents have other layers of fragrance complimenting and balancing the fruit attack. In summary, Gina is enjoyable, but not worth the money.

I'm not impressed by Crescent Row Trilogy and Benefit in general. I had to try them all anyway :-) The packaging is so cute and different! LeeLee smells just like fruit juice and tangerine to me. Meh. Sofia... OMG, terrible on my skin! It smells like fresh sliced tomato for salad and I can't stand tomato in any form! There is no tomato listed, I know :-/ Gina is the best one! It smells like something new and old at the same time. It's peppery, oriental spicy and still bright and frilly! Not very long lasting but quite nice. I had a sample vial and used it till the last drop, but I don't think it's worthy a bottle.

I remember the day I met Gina for the first time. She was in the Shopper's Drug Mart on 7th Avenue in Calgary, sitting on a bottom shelf almost unnoticeable...The Cosmetics Woman asked me if I needed any help, which I usually don't...but that day I said yes ~ I was looking to try something new and a little risqué...She led me right to Gina. I love the scent, I love the packaging. All of the Benefit Line is wonderful.

Right away I recognized patchouli but it was mixed with sweetness (must be the raspberry) and tonka bean (which, to my unprofessional nose, smells like vanilla). Usually patchouli is too earthy for me but mixing it with raspberry and tonka bean was enough to make it work nicely on me. One spray on me: Sillage: 6 inches Longevity: about three hours then not a trace (even with nose to wrist) Rating: 4/5

opening reminds me of Angel and Queen, harsh patchouli burst. when these two have excellent lasting power, Gina fades away quite quickly. nice, but nothing more. edit: wore it today at work. at 10am it was all gone. lasting power close to zero. couldn't imagine a heavy patchouli scent could vanish that quickly! disappointed me :( I think Gina and myself are not meant to be mates.

My absolute favorite of the three. It smells like a gorgeous smokey, sweet pineapple. There's also an aroma of pine, I don't know sort of clean and cool smelling. Very attractive on, and the bottle looks like a piece of art. The dry-down is sort of a musky vanilla. Sofia would be my 2nd choice, and lee lee not really in the running.

A clean, floral fragrance with a warm hospitality all the way through. More of a melting pot of notes rather than a cleverly layered collage. However, the clean, astringency of pepper hovers barely distinguishable overhead, saving this apartment from becoming too pedestrian. Classic, prosaic, comforting. One for your place, not his.

I quite like the smell of this, its warm and remind me of cinzano (not sure why) but its gone within minutes, completely gone and I have checked with others so its not just my nose. Is it my skin chemistry? laugh with me lee lee is the same. Noelle and sasha project well on me and last 4-5 hrs, so its not the whole line either?

I bought this blind as Gina is my name , but i think i,m only one on here that,s not thinking how nice lovely and sexy it is- instead it,s quite plain and i aggree with review that says underwhelming and generic :( mind you i like powerful sent,s like opium so maybe its mee :)

This one's an original. On me the pink pepper stands out stronger than the other notes. I love it, just wish it lasted longer than a few hours. The box is lovely and is decorative on its own and the martini shaker design bottle is creative and sophisticated.

I smelled this at Macy's the same day I bought Queen by Queen Latifah, and they both smell THE SAME. It's dark and sweet, just like Queen and reminds me of Angel. I couldn't believe it. It was like I had sprayed Queen on the card

Such a seductive perfume. I wore it last night and my boyfriend couldn't stop kissing me! Definately one for romantic occassions but more the younger generation e.g 28 and under! Love this perfume, although lee lee is good too

Smells "purple", almost plummy and rich. A good dose of peppery notes and patchouli are super present to me, and a nice background freshness from the citrus and lily. Wearable and enjoyable :)

Gina, to me, is a clean, powdery patchouli & lily scent. I detect some fruity notes, but the raspberry is not overwhelming. Gina is strong and long lasting.

My second least favourite of the collection (after the oud one). Too much pathouli mixed with sweetness which reminds me of extremely popular Flowerbomb.

Nice it's mix of Angel with I love New York Her but not as strong. A lighter version of the two.
