Benetton Hot

I can't attest to the state of Benneton's Hot these days. I have a mini that's at least a decade old which I've been hanging on to for a long time, along with a mini of Cold. They're cute as hell, for one -- the tap-shaped caps are adorable in miniature -- and Hot is so incredible and feels classy beyond its price tag (whatever that was for such a teeny tiny bottle so long ago). Once the alcohol dies down, Hot has a smooth, creamy apricot opening with a bit of a woody bite from that rosewood note. The apricot persists for hours and for me really makes Hot what it is, rounding out a base of gentle vanilla, sandalwood, and musk. I don't get much jasmine from the experience -- probably due to the age of the sample, which either was formulated differently or has aged in a certain way. Overall, it's warming while straddling several common types of warm perfumes -- woody, vanilla, spicy -- without falling solidly into any of them. Not super strong -- perhaps also due to age -- but lasts a good six hours on me. Though you might assume from the name that Hot is a cold weather fragrance, it's honestly quite versatile -- I have fond memories of wearing it on rainy late-spring-early-summer kind of days, when it rises beguilingly from the skin into the humid air. As it is, seeing how people review newer editions of this perfume, I'll be savoring my ancient little sample for all it's worth!

This IS an excellent dupe for Allure. Allure has been my signature scent since it came out in the nineties (I was in highschool then). Its price is pretty high and I thought already a few good times that I could probably buy a car with what I spent on it in all these years... After reading about Benetton Hot I just had to try it. It is indeed a softer version of Allure. I spray it all over myself at home and then add one spray of Allure just before going out. Hot doesn't have such a good sillage (I would say it's half an arm). The longevity is the same when compared to Allure EDT. Some people say that Hot is more citrusy but I actually get the opposite effect: I can't smell the sharp lemon note which bothers me a bit in Allure. Hot is a bit creamier. It might also be less deep, but this just makes it nice for experimenting with layering (and, given the price of Chanel, with Allure I feel much less eager to experiment). Today I layered Hot with some Fragonard's vanilla and it was really yummy. I will happily buy a new car and use less Allure and more Benetton Hot. :)

this smells so warm, so nice, so innocent that you just wanna cuddle yourself and fall into sleep with peace of mind... it exactly made me feel like it when I first sprayed it on my neck. and my friend shared the same opinion with me, we both sprayed it on our pillows excessively in the dorm room:) now that it's becoming cold, i need to have it again nowadays but the problem is, it has a very poor longevity and sillage that you would only be able to smell yourself to feel better. so, expect nothing more than that. and it may become too powdery for your taste when dried down if you dont like powdery scents that much, but i personally do like it, it feels fresh and clean. just give it a try only to treat yourself. oh, and about the bottle, I find it really cute and it spritzs plentifully and the mist is thinner, i dunno but it is in a different way than other perfumes or body mists. this is another thing that makes you feel good. so, apart from longevity, i think i love everything about this one.

Who would have thought that such an ugly bottle would house such a wonderful fragrance. I received HOT today, and on first spray, I am in love. Time will tell the longevity of this perfume, and I will re-visit this review to update that. Hot is a very floral, powdery, feminine gorgeous scent. The first notes I pick up are vanilla, oakmoss and sandalwood.....I am into floral orientals, and this really fits the bill as a daytime scent for me. I think this is a safe buy for work. This was a blind buy for me, but at £9 for 100ml .....you can't go wrong, because it really is a beautiful floral perfume. Some people say its very similar to Allure, I cant say that because I have never owned Allure. EDITED TO ADD: Well I timed the longevity, and I got around 9 hours from this perfume, with the last 2 hours being close to the skin, but I smelled it pretty much for 8 solid hours..... I am well pleased with this perfume... Sillage is pretty much arms length.......

update: I FINALLY BUY THIS PERFUME!!! OMG THIS REALLY SMELLS LIKE HEAVEN. got no more words to say just heaven. this suits mature and younger people well! although this is unisex i think this is more in the feminine side and i looooove it. absolutely smells expensive. i actually never thought that un-expensive perfume could smell this elegant. this opens with soft sweet floral (white and the rose maybe) but it changes very fastly into vanilla like soft floral with fresh citrus and balsamic... the balsamic and sandalwood really do great job!!! omg im gonna cry this is beyond my expectation. for people who dont really like floral scent, dont worry this is unlike the strong floral scent like lancome (sorry if i compare it to the more expensive perfume) or other floral ones but this is just soft and elegant and calming omg i could type until one full screen lol. definitely heaven smell. <333333

I smelled this one when my friend bought it for my other classmate.. i tried it in my wrist with only one or two sprays and it last for about 3 hours. When i first spray it i get the initial blast of citrus and wood.. after that the sweet vanilla cream comes but still mild and calm (which makes it really elegant) and the drydown scent is the vanilla (the vanilla and the wood lasts so long) and also the wood and balsam with a lil hint of citrus. This smells sweet but in a cold way imo.. but it will make you feel sexy and hot.. omg i hope you wont be confused by my review lol But in a nutshell im gonna say that this is one of the best perfume i've ever smelled (also the price is also cheap but the scent smells like it is an expensive perfume!) :D

Lo adquirí hoy, así que debe ser el reformulado. Cuando lo atomize dije wow esto no huele a nada, y sí es así, un olor lejano como a talco de los años 70. Peeeero a la hora boommm explota, nunca me había pasado algo así con un perfume , entonces aparece su increíble similitud con Allure, al punto que todo mi cuarto seis horas después huele al perfume. Lamentablemente me da alergia, al igual que el Allure. Esa nota picante, agria es mas fuerte en este. Allure es más amaderado, más sofisticado pero igual se le siente ese picor, pero creo que es justamente esa nota la que me da alergia, llevo dos antialérgicos después de la atomización. Debo venderlo, tristemente.Pero para los amantes de Allure Chanel es una alternativa económica para diario.

Great value for the money! Not a super citrusy opening (even though it says so in the notes) and I'm good with that. I'll get my citrus hit from other fragrances I have. I feel like this is primarily an iris, musk, and sandalwood creation, for I get a lovely soapy note. Reminds me a bit of how Nivea cream smells, but with tons more va-va-voom. This smells even better on my skin with time. Unisex - would smell as great on a guy as on a girl. It's so refreshing to find a fragrance of this quality for such a low price point! An underrated hidden gem. EDIT: I finally tried Chanel Allure Eau de Parfum today and wow Benetton Hot is REALLY similar. A GREAT dupe if you're on a budget, and oh btw Hot actually came on the market before Allure!

Okay so i have put this perfume on today, and let me tell you- it is one of those scents that need no time to settle, the smell right out of the bottle is yummy from the get-go. I detect similar scents from top to base in this fragrance - orange, vanilla, amber and musk. It is a very warm and inviting scent, it is one that i think is great for cozy nights in on the sofa watching movies with your man and drinking hot chocolate. For me this is a winter, evening scent. Although this time i have a mild headache from the scent, not sure why (because i have owned this scent before and had no problems) but i wanted to warn others incase they are prone to perfume headaches, definately one that you should try before you buy.

I blind bought this when I was a teen. Back then to my young nose this was overwhelming at first, but eventually grew on me. I bought a bottle off Fragrance net for $14 or something recently. Hello old friend! Just like I remember, but maybe a little weaker. It’s a spicy orange, vanilla, sandalwood, amber hug. I adore it. Signature worthy. When I was a teen I thought the name Hot fit it, but now 25+ years later, I think cozy, chai spice or warm hug is a better description. I have other perfumes that belong in the same family I would say, L by Lolita L., Curve Crush, Cuir de Nuit, and Betsy Johnson. To me they’re all gourmand. I had a friend who wore Allure, makes sense that I like that too. Hot is an affordable gem!

Bought a bottle in a fit of nostalgia. If I remember correctly this was one of my first perfumes as a young teenager :) And lucky me - I got the version in the original packaging. This really is very close to Allure EDT and wears like a légère version of it. Allure EDT upon closer inspection is more dense and intense, Hot is not. It's airy and hard to overspray. Longevity is short to moderate but it's noticeable. With the price you can easily take a decant with you and fresh up throughout the day. Same goes if you do own Allure (or Dior's Joy for that matter) and want something to take with you that doesn't break the bank. Benetton really has same great gems, now if only they would bring back Tribu and Colors!

This is seriously one of my faves, i have just bought a bottle after being under the assumption that it was dis-continued (not sure if it actually has been but i managed to buy some online) I will update when i recieve it and remember the exact scents that i pull from it. Edit: Aah i remember now it was the shower gel that disappeared from the shelves, and IMO the shower gel was soooooooo good! I used to stay in the shower for ages because i loved the smell of it so much. I wonder why keep the EDT going but not the accompanying shower gel???

Just got this in the mail yesterday. I blind bought this because of the reviews and a recent youtube video that I watched. I was craving a good floral everyday fragrance and I am not at all disappointed. Absolutely beautiful floral and slightly sweet to my nose. Gorgeous and pleasant. As soon as I received it and sprayed it I wanted to purchase a backup bottle. I can smell it on my skin for at least 3 hours. It’s elegant and very pretty, and a solid all around wear - to the store or to brunch or a first date. 10/10

If you put the juice in a more luxurious and prettier flacon, i believe people will pay more respect to this bargain perfume. It smells similar with Un Jardien A Paris by Jean Couture and Chanel Allure, but Hot Benetton is less citrusy. Delicate sweet creamy floral. I’m not sure if the new formulation has oakmoss in it, i barely smell it. If you love Allure but need a cheapie daily frag to save your bucks, this would work! For the price, longevity and projection are great. Couldn’t expect more.

What a nice perfume!I m in love with Allure for years,I had it 3 times,and want to have it again but turn too "spicy" for my budget...I read the reviews here and I bought it blindly-thank God I was lucky and fits nice to my skin! The opening and the general feeling is equal to Allure but has not the longevity and the sensual ending of Allure,but is a really serious replacement of it.A nice creation and a decent dupe that makes your day happy and cheerful.Happy I have it.

This is a fabulously underrated gem. HOT is the only fragrance I wore in high school that I can still wear now. It's dirt cheap but don't be fooled, this does not smell cheap at all. Warm, sexy, oriental fragrance. And it lasts forever. 8+ hours. Similar to Michael Kors Sexy Amber. Can't remember exactly what Allure smells like so I'll get back to you all for that comparison. It was marketed as unisex but I would not recommend this for men.

Bought this because of Sarah Mayes recommendation. Has never smelled Allure. However, when I spray Hot it smells very familiar. After a while it came to me that it smells very similar to Beyonce Rise perfume. The dry down is where the magic is at though! This smells so nice and delicious on me and last for over 5 hours on my skin and longer on clothes. Doesn't smell cheap at all. Got it for about $10 and it's cheaper on ebay.

It takes me back to the early 2000, i was working in the hotel. Lots of compliment from my friends when i wear this perfume at that time. My General Manager said i wish all my staff smells like you!🥰. And one night there was a French guest just arrived at the front desk and he said is it you smell sooo good!🧐😍. So yeah Benetton Hot is a part of my beautiful memories! Smell soooo good!❤️

I've just got this and sprayed it on my arm and it makes me feel... happy? Maybe it's because it reminds me of the happy times when I was sniffing Allure in Douglas one year ago with my best friend lol. I think they are very similar but I've never had Allure since it's way too expensive for me, at least for now, so not 100% sure... Either way, I love it! Very woody.

This is beautiful to be worn in the right season like fall or winter. It has a holiday vibe to it. It’s woodsy but feminine with cozy sweetness probably due to the apricot. It’s held together by some spicy warmth. It’s an affordable dupe for allure. If you detest rosewood and non hyper fruity scents this won’t be for you.

Just got my bottle today and I LOVE IT . . . hope that my hubby does!! I cannot believe how much Allure and Hot smell alike !! I put Allure on one arm and Hot on the other and I could not really tell the difference. For the price who would spend the extra for Allure unless you are just into the NAME.

This is my first perfume review. I bought this perfume because of the reviews on this website and I am not disappointed. This smells like Chanel Allure but for a fraction of the price. If you love Chanel Allure, this is worth the buy. A great buy and I am so pleased I purchased this blind buy.

its nice, warm and feminine. Not very flowery but feminine. Its powdery to my nose, but powdery in a good way. I can smell bergamot and vanilla, and a hint of rose or lily. Love it. And i also love the bottle. Its like, unique on the outside but sexy in the inside. Its a perfect daily scent.

Omg...I had this in high school or maybe junior high. That was at least 15 to twenty years ago. It was one of my first perfumes. As I recall, it smelled like cinnamon and spicy, HOT...I loved it. I should hunt some down.

A few sprays of this warm fragrance and I'm transported straight back to the safety and innocence of 1997 (I was only ten) beautiful! It's one of only a few perfumes I always replace when empty, what more can I say.

I found this perfume has similarity with Chanel Allure, like other members said. And the price so affordable. The scent itself is warm, oriental with vanilla base and mix very well with my body chemistry. I love it.

I bought this perfume after reading so many positive comments on this site and i am so glad i purchased this frag. its such a fine and sophisticated fragrance without a big price tag.Totally adorable.

I have this and Chanel Allure edp. Honestly, I can't differentiate between the two!

My go-to day scent for winter.

At first sniff I was initially put off by the strong notes of citrus and wood, and was worried I might smell like an old gentleman. However, after a few spritzes over a few days, it started growing on me. Although I live in a hot, humid and tropical climate, I work long hours in a cold, air-conditioned office. This was perfect, although I can imagine this perfume best suited for cool autumn or winter days. Hence its name "hot"- it is spicy smelling, made me think of curling up in a warm blanket next to a comfy, cozy crackling fire. The initial woodiness (and a little cinammon!) and tangy citrus (think lemons and oranges) dies down after about an hour or so of wear, and develops into a softer, less sharp, almost powdery sort of mild citrus vanilla. I can't place my nose on the notes because I am still an amateur when it comes to perfumes, and to me I feel this is a little more complex than some of the other perfumes I have worn, which are all quite simple and straightforward. I would highly encourage people to give this perfume a chance. At first sniff you might be put off, but like all good things, it deserves to be given time to grow on you and who knows, you may find that you have grown to like it more than your typical uncomplicated scent! In terms of sillage, I have a few people at arm's length comment pleasant things on the perfume, but I do not believe it wafts about or carries further than that. After about 4 to 6 hours, I believe it will not be smelt by anyone else other than myself. It retains pleasantly on the skin even after a long 10 hours, and clothings also retain it very gently. Although it is amber in colour, I have not found it to stain any of my white blouses which I wear to work on a regular basis. Although it is a "hot" and somewhat spicy perfume, and I wear it whilst in a cold environment, I have also worn this out in my tropical climate, and although it is not too cloying despite its more complex and heavy scent, I would still say it is better suited for dry and cold climates. As an addition, I found the design of the bottle very amusing. It has a bottle cap like a water-tap, and you have to twist it to "unlock" it! Very fascinating and maybe to support the idea of "hot" and "cold" perfumes like hot and cold water. I must say though, thankfully the perfume itself it far from watered down and has a beautiful scent. I am thankful I had an opportunity to try this wonderful perfume.

It was a long time I wished to find benetton hot,I was very curious about it But it was nowhere to be found,others from this line were available for cheap prices but wherever I seeked,they told me hot has been discontinued a long time ago Yesterday I saw a bottle of it in a old,small shop.it was an old bottle with broken cap but I couldn't let it go so I bought it and also a bottle of cold,each bottle for less than 10$!so no worry even if I hated them Hot opens with strong blast of alcohol,I suspect that it was stored in bad condition and it's on the verge of turning,after two minutes alcohol fades and I can smell something very familiar.I never tried chanel allure so it can't be than one but I can feel something very 90s and something very chanel-ish here.I can smell apricot and citruses in the opening which are sweet and dry,not fresh and juicy and actually I don't like this stage.after couple of minutes very soft powdery florals kick in and make it pleasant and less oldish 90s sweet fruity,but it's main actors are woody notes and vanilla with a hint of clean musk.woods are subtle and warm and ground other notes.rosewood is the most dominant one on my skin.as time passes it becomes warmer and more lovely so despite first five-ten minutes,I like it's drydown.there's no chanel vibe or old vibe in it's drydown.it's simple and beautiful.a soft and warm scent which feels very clean,cozy and enveloping,not too sweet,too fruity or too vanilla-e.although it feels very clean it doesn't have detergent like aroma at all.it's something clean and at the same time natural It's not something I can't live without still I'm very happy to have it and with that bargain price it's Unbeatable.I can't compare it to allure but I'd like to try allure now and I think it can be one of rare chanel fragrances that I can like very much.can't tell about Longevity and sillage yet.I find it wearable year round and it can be a very good everyday perfume.it sounds versatile and safe to wear at office It's a pity that it's very difficult to find these days it deserves to be well known and popular since it's very cheap but not cheap smelling at all I also like it's bottle.very cute and unique and it looks funny when it stands near cold's water By the way it's not a unisex scent in my book.it's definitely feminine ❤❤❤

1)This bottle is gimmicky, a ridiculous eyesore, a horrible remnant of the 90’s that begs you to dismiss the fragrance as dated, silly and shallow. 2) Hot is a lovely fragrance with timeless character that does indeed strongly remind me of Allure. 3) The person who put this fragrance into this bottle should be fired. I tried Allure yesterday, and put Hot on today. Sniffing the sprayer nozzles, and spritzing Hot onto a clean tissue, really emphasizes how much Hot is similar to Allure. However, on my skin Hot starts out with a bit more lemon—like sweetly tart lemon bars. After 20 minutes, though, Hot has the warm, slightly peachy, musky sandalwood quality; lived in, subtle but strong. I risk making it sound yucky, but Hot has an almost sweaty-saliva note, like the smell of slightly unwashed (but not dirty or nasty) skin—just the pleasant, comforting, warm smell of closeness. With Allure, a hard sniff would bring orange blossom to my nose; that isn’t here with Hot. I don’t get much floral here at all. Instead, a hard sniff brings the woodiness, and a bit of citrus, back to the foreground. I really love a strong sandalwood, and was very hopeful after seeing how prominently the sandalwood was rated by my fellow Fragranticans. However, I don’t find the sandalwood to be prominent at all. It’s playing a nice, mellow supporting role, but don’t buy this for the sandalwood. I do think that the amber here is a forerunner of the amber in fragrances like Ferragamo’s Incanto, or VS Amber Romance; Hot is a warm, sweet golden amber that is very understated. Sillage is very low on me (warmish spring day, dryish skin), even after multiple sprays. It seems to be fading after 2 hours, but I really think that is more related to some anosmia. Allure had more strength (although was still very subtle) and more persistence. All other things being equal, I think I’d choose Allure—but since price is always a factor, I highly recommend Hot as an attractive substitute at a more reasonable price point.

Wow! I am absolutely floored at how much this smells like Chanel Allure!! I guess it was to be expected though, before purchasing this fragrance, I compared fragrance notes and read reviews. The notes are EXTREMELY similar, if you look up the notes of Chanel Allure Edp, the notes are nearly identical, only different amounts in different areas (top note is a heart note, mandarin is instead a tangerine, etc). So, based on all of this I blind bought the largest bottle of eBay because our only Benetton store is in West Edmonton Mall and there was NO WAY I was venturing that cesspool for a bottle perfume...maybe for the last bottle of the REAL Allure or a beloved Killan fragrance I would brave the madness but not for Hot. I received it in the post this morning and I eagerly ripped open the envelope, offered my wrist to the adorable red spigot, sprayed and savoured a sniff...omg, this is IDENTICAL to Allure Edp, it is a cousin to Allure Edt but an identical twin to Allure Edp. Identical in the twin like sense that only someone who knows the two VERY well can tell them apart. This is perfect, for those who cannot afford Chanel this is a sweet (literally and figuratively) and rich smelling alternative. For those of us who cannot live without our Chanel, Benetton Hot is a nice girl to carry around in our purse or car, perfect for freshening up ourselves or our rooms when we used our beloved Allured hours before and need a "Chanel" pick me up. Benetton Hot is also perfect for those if us who only have a teeny bottle of Allure, one we reserve for little places in our wrist, behind our ears, a warm spot on our chest. Benetton Hot allows us to spritz our locks, mist the air and walk through...Benetton Hot is an absolute gem, for a very little price.

On the basis of your reviews, I now have HOT, and I LOVE it !!! It's EXACTLY like Chanel Allure edp, and at a MUCH cheaper price ! What a wonderful find ! I get a kick out of the funny bottle. Now I'll have to find COLD, too, so I'll have a matched set ! LOL ! HOT is deliciously smooth citrus with a good dose of soft apricot in the blend. The florals are mixed in perfectly ! Not too fruity, not too citrusy, not too floral, and the base notes, especially the fragrant Brazilian Rosewood, balance together beautifully. Smells lightly spicy, refreshingly oriental. HOT doesn't smell cheap at all. It's bright, fun to wear, very pleasant, and long lasting on skin, on clothing, and in your hair. Great for any time of year when you want to feel fresh and warm. The bottles of HOT and COLD are unique. They open with a light click twist, then press to spray. If you don't care for the funny "toy" design of the bottles, you could hide them in a cabinet. Each time you use these frags, you can smile , knowing you have unexpectedly high quality fragrances skillfully hidden inside such humorous bottles. Thanks again to all reviewers ! Charlie Reds little baby sister. 🔥 I just got this today and I can't believe it was less than 8.00 for a 3.4 ounce full new bottle in its box. I used to work at a department store I've smelled real expensive scents and this smells like old money. The initial blast smells bad , like glue but that quickly fades. I see it's compared to ALLURE but I don't think I smelled it but if I ever do I'll update this review. .....It's a GORGEOUS light warm ambery powder. A clean and refined scent. A tad fruity but the oakmoss tames the fruitness. It's also powdery. It's a unisex scent definitely. The dry down is very much iris so delicate. Wow. Impressive but must reapply every 4 hours. Dry down is a soft vanilla. I love bathroom sink bottle I don't know why it gets so much hate I think it's fun. It's not a love but it's definitely a like very much there is nothing offensive about it. Will I buy it again? Probably so i dig it ! .... but I'm sure this bottle will last a very long time in my dark dry closet. If you're reading this happy 2021 🎉

JUST received this fragrance in the mail 30 minutes ago. This fragrance is very nice! I wouldn't say that its incredible, but it DEFINITELY is incredible for the price! There are VERY few fragrances that you can buy for $11 that smell this much of quality! The one thing that I do notice is that it smells nicer when it first comes out of the bottle onto your skin. Its nice and warm, and amber-ish/woody when it comes out of the bottle. As I've been wearing it for about 30 minutes now, I'm noticing that its turning sweeter, and it smelled nicer when it was warmer... fresh out of the bottle. It still smells very nice and clean and I would still recommend it to anyone who doesn't have $75 to spend on a bottle of perfume. Overall rating : 8/10 You can get this extremely cheap on amazon btw! It's worth a try everyone!

This is a soft, warm and sexy perfume. Unlike Benetton Cold which is more of a unisex kind of scent (quite nice, though!) it's definitely a very feminine perfume. On my skin, the apricot, vanilla and amber combine to create a lovely warm, subtly sexy, close to the skin scent which has great staying power. Unfortunately, the bottle's not exactly elegant looking and looks like something a teenager might have on their dressing table so it's not one you'd necessarily want to have out for everyone to see (having said that, mine is out though so maybe I just don't give a damn what anyone thinks!!). However, the perfume inside is what counts and this is a very likeable and very reasonably priced perfume and could easily be worn by women of any age group. I definitely recommend this and it gets a thumbs up from me!

Bought this based on reviews and WOW!!! I’ve always liked Chanel Allure but never took the leap to buy it bc of the price tag- this comes pretty darn close! The opening isn’t quite as vibrant and is missing the Chanel je ne sais quois but I don’t mind a bit- this is signature scent worthy- I can see myself wearing this every day and night fir any occasion- seems to sit on the skin which makes it office safe- I can imagine anyone being offended by this fragrance- I got a 3.3 btl off of amazon for less than 10$- it’s the new bottle which is an upgrade from the funky one pictured- if you love feminine powdery vanillas blended with hints of fruit and florals this is to be tested out!!!! You cannot beat the value for what you get- there are vanilla florientals 10 x this price that don’t compare:)

I bought this fragrance because I quite liked the bizarre bottle with that red cap (which also serves as a sprayer) - and because it was ridiculously cheap. The scent itself is not something that I would normally go for, but paired with that bottle, somehow it makes sense! Generally I'm not a fan of sweet fragrances, and this one is very sweet. It doesn't remind me of Allure, but rather of some of Sophia Grojsman's creations, such as Exclamation, for it has that retro-synthetic, very 1980s vibe. The main culprit is the note of synthetic apricot, amplified by (also synthetic) vanilla. This fruity-vanillic sweetness prevents floral notes from asserting themselves. Solid projection and duration (5 hours easily).

I enjoy this fragrance so much. I find something quite comforting about it. I think it may be the sandalwood and vanilla. I wasn't expecting this fragrance to be what it is from the notes. But I had heard it was very good, that it was a dupe of Allure, and that it was very affordable, so I decided to blind buy. It's good value for the price: 3.4 oz for around 10 dollars. The performance is not great, but at that price I don't mind reapplying. I read in the comments it may have been reformulated, but I'm not sure which formulation I got. I think it's likely the most recent one, since the bottle is different in design. Either way, a really good, enjoyable fragrance for a very low price!

Overall, it's an elegant woodsy powder. The notes take turns under the spotlight as it morphs through wear. The initial blast quickly goes through 3 distinct citrus phases. Then come the apricot and the iris, they last longer and are more powerful. Definitely powdery, though not too dry. Through all this, there is a woody base, but its overpowered by the iris. It took me a while to find the vanilla, because it takes so long to dry down. It is soft and synthetic, but not horrible quality. The drydown remains powdery, but becomes woodsier and warmer from the vanilla. This is definitely a "dated" fragrance. I would have guessed it was a bit older, late 80s to early 90s.

I bought this blind under the assumption it was similar to chanel allure. True to its reviews, it does bear 'some' similarity,while allure is quite green with more of a signature chanel 'zing' and the lotus, vetiver is more pronounced, this is more toned down and low key. Open with the citruses and the wood which quickly tones down to that vanillic, slightly peachy allure drydown. For me it s a scent that adapts to your body chemistry quickly, very low key. Not sensual but 'homey' I think while the bottle isnt the most charming of its sort, it depicts the fragrance perfectly, a gush of warm liquid on skin. It is beginning to grow on me alot for an everyday scent.

I bought this only because of all the votes and remarks on it smelling like Allure. Just received it in the mail and soooooooo disappointed!! NOTHING at all like Allure! And it barely lasts long enough on my skin to know that.I smelled only a little citrus in the short time the scent remained. I am hoping that this is because the bottle is warm from the late postal delivery and that when I revisit it later tonight it will smell and last longer. Terrible waste of money otherwise. Edit: Okay, tried this again this morning and I do smell something reminiscent of Allure. Lots of citrus and still very light scent though.

Hot reminds me of Chanel Allure, some of the ingredients are there, but the different combination and proportions make it warmer and sweeter. I find Allure a much more complex creation, with many different nuances, definitely a more complex pyramid. Hot is a delightful fragrance but lacks of character and there is something missing in the composition. Both sillage and longevity aren’t as good as Chanel Allure and the dry down isn’t comparable.I love Chanel Allure but for some reasons it has always given me headache, I’‘m definitely happy to have Hot as a alternative. The price is also a steal.
